Dr. Visit was great. All numbers on bloodwork were PERFECT ! Glucose 95, Triglycerides 45, VLDL 9, HDL 51, LDL 72, A1C 5.5, PSA .94

Stunned at my weight loss. I lost 82Lbs since my last visit. He wanted to know more about our group here. I showed him our little charts for monthly averages, and a couple of my daily entries. "Great Idea!" He says he doesn't need to see me for another year. So, I have to be accountable to you guys for another year. Hope you can stand it.

Sorry, I really don't mean to Gloat, I'm just happy.

I never got the chance to make soup yesterday. Darla burned the turkeyburger before I got home. I could smell it in the driveway when I pulled in. The doors were open and the attic fan was on. I was able to make the Beanstew though. So we won't starve. We went to a Bluegrass show and I had a salad and small chili.

Got a 3 o'clock appointment today to see what my bloodwork from yesterday says. My doctor hasn't seen me since I lost most of my weight.

Water was low, coffee was high.

Walked 1mile, ran 1,1/4 mile

172Lbs at this mornings weigh-in. That's 4 weeks in a row.

I'll make soup tonight. I've decided to just make oats and Groats and have them for breakfast. And if the soup starts getting low, well then I'll start adding water to it. Making Bean Stew tonight as well.

Off to the Dr. Office to have blood drawn.

Here is a problem. I make a BIG pot of soup every Sunday. This is healthy stuff. All vegs from the garden except for turkey burger and canned spinach. It's the soup you see me post Every Day. But now that I've slimmed down, Wifey's thinks it tastes good and eats the heck out of it. Now it doesn't last through the week. And SHE WON'T MAKE MORE. So now I'm stuck eating canned soup at the end of the week. Any suggestions or solutions are welcome.

Meant to type more but hit the comment button accidently - add some more beef or chicken broth, vegetables and another roll of ground turkey and double it. If you don't eat that much you can freeze it, or eat more yourself. I usually only make soup in cold weather, but family (and a friend I sometimes feed) requested some last week and I have made two different kinds the last two weeks. I make a stock pot full and take some to my mother and my friend. I hate canned soup, with the exception of Amy's Chunky Tomato Bisque and then I have to put a dab of sour cream in that.

Make a bigger pot or two pots and freeze some of it. My hubby does almost all the cooking (I'm the soup cooker)and he always makes a big pot which lasts us as least 3 dinners. They are usually curries but the ingredients vary so I'm not really eating the same thing every day!

Google exercises for prevention of shin splints. Those would be the muscles that got sore, the going downhill ones. Actually you can just sit and flex your feet while at the computer as that is one of the exercises.

RYC I totally agree as far as "Flip" (guy with the mask and Drew however after watching the show for a few seasons it is truly anyone's game since there are some athletes that go for speed and make costly mistakes(like Brent Steffinson who was eliminated before Vegas..So far Brent went further than any American at Mt. Midoriamo) Anyhoo I hope that one of the vets win although I root for all competitors, that is a crazy tough course right??? Have a good evening :)

Your food list looks good to me - particularly since you did a long bike ride. You'll need to eat more as you exercise regularly and you're choosing very healthy options!

I am pretty sure with the 11 mile ride you needed the extra calories..It's okay to keep the intake low on the days you may not get around to exercising however you need fuel to support and protect you on the days you go for it..Have a great evening Ohio!
