Dear Diary. Worked overtime, got in a brisk walk. Watched Dr. Oz. With guest Dr. Fuhrman. Good episode.

Read Umpqua's post about planting seeds for this years garden, and It got me to think...what should I be planting this year ? I'm thinking It's the same things I eat, now that I'm a healthy dieter. Tomatoes, beans, cucumbers (for making pickles of course)...not sure what else. Biscotti has got me thinking of sweet potatoes. I think I should plant these and incorporate them into my diet.

Progress as of today: 32 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

Do you have a garden plot? In previous years I've done tomatoes, peppers, peas and beans and herbs in pots on my deck. This year I'm going a little crazy, although not trying potatoes or sweet potatoes. Let me know if you do - I LOVE sweet potatoes!

Yep ! I got a pretty good sized plot. My tiller broke down last year. No saving it. I gotta get another one. I just like putting my toe in the dirt. I looked into the sweet potatoes at the feed store. I'm on a list of people to get slips (starts) when they come in.

My days of planting a garden are over. I go to our local market and it seems almost ridiculous at the prices I can buy it from the farmers at the market. I usually go after Lunch and everybody makes deals because they do not want to bring it back. Great discounts. It is also a nice day out at the market. Unfortunately it is only during summer time. I thought about you a lot last night during my struggles. Have a great day Raven.

Sweet potatoes are really good for you. My hubby puts them in curries sometimes and I use them when I make soup.

I take all the advise I get some days it work and their are days where my mind just drives me crazy. There is one thing I know for sure is that I am determine to get to the end of this journey even if every day is a struggle I will get there. Got my shopping done today things are looking up. I am a very positive person.

Curry is an Indian or Thai dish, mild to hot spicy. Lots of veggies, meat or meat substitute or beans, a sauce. Served on rice. My hubby cooks different ones with different ingredients.

I was just looking up sweet potatoe and it is pretty high in calories 1/2 cup is 170 cal. There are 0 fats if boiled and 40gm carbs but I wonder if they are considered good or bad carbs.

I OverAte yesterday. Couldn't stop myself on GetBack's Curried Lentils. BigSalad instead of SideSalad, Made soup for the week and had an extra dipper, 3 grapefruit... (3). But thanks to LoLLa, and the whole gang at the Double D, I got out of my funky ways and got motivated again. Whether you guys knew it or not, it was JUST WHAT I NEEDED ! thanks again you guys. I'm off to a healthy start again.

200Lbs. This morning. Did NOT make goal...yet.(Doh) BUT...I lost another pound.(Woo-hoo) So, I'll get to Onderland when It's my time and not before. I'm still keeping my weigh-in on Mondays and won't "peek" through the week.

Had a great weekend. Drank a lot of green tea. It calms me down. Looking forward to more DD Curried Lentils today. Hope everyone had a good weekend too. Have a healthy day.

You will start to see noticeable changes eventually, as Annie said. Are you measuring? I find that at a certain point the scale doesn't really tell the story, but losing inches from your whole body sure lets you know something's happening!

I'm greatful that spring is almost here. The earth can't tilt back fast enough for me. I really snipe, grumble and complain when its unsesonably cold. My buddy, Kevin Miller, is leaving to build a church in the South. I wonder if the Lord would call ME to a warmer climate.

I can't wait for Spring either, although Winter has been quite mild in Montana this year. We usually have a week or two each year where we don't get above zero for a high. This year I don't remember a day where our high was below zero. So either the Winter was milder or my memory is progressively getting worse. If I can't move to the south, Al Gore can bring the south's weather to me.

Playing Bluegrass this weekend. 80th Birthday for Les "Muleskinner" Ratliff. He helped me when I started raising Chickens. I started calling him the "Chicken Whisperer". Because he knew so much. I only have 7 birds now, 8 if you count the duck. My girls lay the biggest eggs in the county. You can't close an extra large egg carton around them. I've been giving the eggs away to a free store for years. They help people in need. I always keep the smallest egg for my 1egg breakfast. The reason is a good one and a story to be told later. So, I'm going from memory.(Not Good). Tried the Monk Fruit. It was the Splenda brand. (Umpqua knows what I mean) but I didn't think much of it... yet. Also bought Dandelion root tea. Wow ! Kind of a nutty flavor. All of this stuff is from watching Dr. Oz. Anyone else watch the good Dr. ? Well, that's about it. Have a healthy day.

I got monk fruit in the raw yesterday and I like it! But I'm used to stevia so the monk fruit has less of an aftertaste for me. I don't know anything about dandelion tea but I love tea and am open to trying new stuff. That sucks about your diary - after a lot of stubbornness I went electronic with all my logging/recording since I have my gadgets with me at all times.

Honestly, Cheese...I think if I can just maintainers and just keep going. Not just on the weight part, but all of it. Be aware of my diet and exercise every day, and not fall back into some comfortable stage where "I got it now. I can cruise from here." I've done this too many times and I see a pattern.

It's Very Good, to see some of the "Lost Sheep" coming back to the flock and post again. It shows that they haven't given up. WELCOME BACK !

Thank you to those who helped me decide what to do about artificial sweeteners. But it looks like Dr. Oz and the Hungry Girl came up with what I'm gonna try next. Monk Fruit. Haven't tried it yet. I'll keep you all posted.

Peanut butter has a great deal of protein and healthy fats (try to get the natural kind with the oil on top), BUT its also high in calories so stick to the 2 tsp per serving. I absolutely love PB. If you ever feel like you need an extra energy boost...Peanut butter and toast. Sometimes I eat it just before a workout or when Im really hungry. Whats a brazilnut? Looking forward to the Mungfruit! Sounds tasty!!! Have a good one raven!

You're still melting the pounds away!!! Congrats! I've been unable to get to everyone too do to work, but I really get a lot out of reading what everyone is trying. I have never heard of Mungfruit, but I guess I will do some research. I use splenda and Torani syrups that are made with splenda. I bake with it too. I have stevia for my tea. But I am open to try something that is not artificial. I was disappointed with the Stevia for baking. Keep up the good work!

Sounds like you're doing well. I eat pb as well - unsweetened - but I weight it on a gram scale - 10 grams is 60 cals for the kind I buy. Very satisfying especially on oat cakes (oats, oil, salt).
