A loss and a win~~ that's special! I have to make you laugh - I love football and I am usually very good with my geography, but I guess I can chalk this up to stress or maybe just old age but when we were discussing the game I said something about Ohio and how I wanted the Ravens to win and hubby said why are you talking about Ohio? I said because I want the Ravens to win. He said they are from Baltimore, and I said I know, Baltimore, Ohio! He cracked up and said you mean Baltimore Maryland. I paused, died laughing and said, oh, yeah, you are right for once!! I guess your profile name just sounded so perfect that I lost my sense of true geographical knowledge!! hahaha! WOW! What a game! I have to tell you I am no big fan but when the 49ers came back I got very hopeful. The ravens were better, steady and never gave up... Just like you! Good job with the 3 pounds down. What a great Sunday! yey! Congrats!!

Gave The dog a few beans at breakfast, to go with her disappearing egg yolk. Taking green beans with turkey sausage to the party tonight. Go, Ravens. One good thing that happened today. Wifey put her arms around me and said, "Wow! I can touch my hands together !" :v)

Yesterday was very busy. The 1st of the month always is. Everyone has a new budget and orders were flying off the printer. Donated blood right after work, came home hungrier than normal. Grabbed a second cup of soup and went to bed. Getting Green beans and cocktail wieners today for SuperBowl party at Church.

24min. Stair climber (1,050ft) Made to the top of the Eifle tower. Phew, I was really pushing myself. I wanted that tower :v)

So, SuperChick (Cheese) gave me a good idea. Only 1 egg yolk and 2 egg whites every morning. Tried it this morning and it was okay, but I usually have a little egg yolk left on my plate anyway. Well, I usually give this to my little dog "Pokey". When I finished this morning I put my plate on the floor and she got very little egg yolk and some bean juice. She looked at me like she got ripped off. " Is this all there is?" I said yep, Little Poker, you're on a diet too :v)

Had a great night last night. Lots of energy :v)

I was in a couple of early 80s bands in Omaha Neb. one was (Ozone), the other was (Iron Head). Lead guitar and lead vocals (they didn't care how I sounded back then) ha-ha.

Now I play Blue Grass on Saturday mornings (General Lee)

Tuesday practice (Ridge Runners) Oldies, Rock, Pop, Country, TV theme songs, you name it. I sing the low bassy stuff and harmony. We are pretty much a "Show" band. We play out once a month.

Thursday practice (Vineyard Worship Team) Christian Rock.

Saturday Night Worship Team, I play either Guitar, Bass, Drums. Depending on who shows up and who doesn't .

Sunday Worship team, rotate guitar with some fine musicians every 3rd week.

Not trying to to brag. I'm not that great, I'm not that bad, I'm just a guy praising God, having fun, giving lessons, staying busy, rooting for the Ravens, getting on in years, trying to take care of my health...

I'm going to be eating 1/2 salads and 1/2 pickles now, to go along with my mini popcorn.

Didn't have time for any activities at home. Practice last night and a show tonight. Will have to eat out, and the band likes to go to a restaurant afterwards. Not much of a challenge for me, I usually just drink decaf coffee anyway.

I'm thinking about eating just 1 egg every morning, but I want to wait till I weigh under 200Lbs. I just don't want to be hungry before lunch. And I'm thinking it will be something to reward myself with once I lose more weight :v) Yay ! You lost weight, here's your less food.

LOL, Brazil isn't as tough as some of the other BeachBody programs but it's still serious business - I did 2 rounds of it last year. And band practice and playing out definitely count as exercise IMO. Hubby is a drummer and that's hard work! Have a good one.

Thank you for the comments. Had breakfast and downed two 8oz glass of water. Glad that is over with for a few hours. LOL Will do the same at the next meal and if I can keep that up I will get at least 6 glasses in for the day. Tomorrow will try to put it up to 8. But for today 6 will do - I have to admit it will be an improvement. Have a good day.

bought a stair climber at salvation army $20. I bought it because it has some cool references to how high you climb. Yesterday it said I went 660ft vertical. Cool ! I went passed the statue of libery, big Ben, the great pyramid, then I gave in before I could reach anything else. Oh well. Another tool in my toolkit and it was only $20. A small investment into the basement. A bigger investment into me :v) Ya'll have a good day.

My 9th grade football coach died this last week, and went to heaven. Neil Painter. He was a member of our church (Franklin Vineyard) he was 70 something. Went to his visitation last night. He taught me more than football, he taught me some things about life.

One of his greatest lessons he taught me is that when confronted with a problem you should face it, and deal with it, instead of going around it. Because if you go around it and not deal with it, even though you can't see it, the problem is still there. And it will ALWAYS be there unless you do something about it. I feel that I have become a better person because of his "lessons"

I've passed this lesson on to my son and daughter. I think that they have become better adults for it.

Darla's birthday went ok. I used splenda and skim milk on the Cheesecake. It really tasted good but I don't think I'll eat any more.

I managed to sneak in a trip downstairs and get on the treadmill.

The restaurant was good too. I was happy with my choice and portion. It was just chicken, peppers and onions on top of 2 flat breads.

The movie "Mama" was good and scary. Darla is a grabber, clutcher and a screamer. Most of the teen girls at the movie were screaming too. (I think I only screamed once).

It was a fun day and she thanked me a lot :v)

Megan's eye looks great this morning. Thank you all for your prayers.

Weigh in tomorrow morning. I'll report in and let everybody know.

So glad that Darla enjoyed her B'day and that Megan's eye is already doing better! Great job with your food choices. I know movie concession prices are ridiculous! That's definitely where they make their money. When I went to the movies last week, I stuck a bottle of water in my purse. I know you're not supposed to but I did it anyway. Way to go on the food choices, Raven! I appreciate your advice on eating more veggies...I'm on a pretty tight budget, but one of my favorite veggie meals is stirfry. I can get that pretty cheap at Wal-Mart. Brown rice is pretty cheap too. Next paycheck, I'll stock up on it! :0) You're pretty brave to watch, "Mama." I would be up all night with every light in the house on. ha, ha! Take care!

Darla's Cheesecake is in the fridge. She's 42 today. Made it early this morning. Took quite a while. Tasted a wee bit of the filling from the spoon. It was good tasting. I know she'll like it :v) I'll bring it out at the restaurant.

Waitng to take Meg (daughter) to the Dr. She has something wrong with her eye. It's swollen shut but not red in any way. I'm waiting cause she has to get fixed up. I told her, her eye is more important than the way you look. I got the eye roll from her one good eye.

I want to talk about the openness and honesty I've encountered on this site. (at the Dr. Office now) people will confess about not doing well on their diets or they feel too tired to excersise. It would be easy for me or anyone else to paint a different picture, but we don't. I think we are who we say we are. With both our faults and successes. It just seems like a safe place to be yourself. And you meet a lot of different people from all walks of life. But everyone seems to listen and encourage on another.

I want to thank everyone for the support, information and encouragement I've got for the short time I've been here.

I plan on skipping lunch and just having a grapefruit for a snack. Then chicken fajita for dinner. When I was on weight watchers I calculated I could have 12 tortilla chips to dip in the salsa for so many points. The way I see it now, I can break those chips in half and get 24 dips in the salsa. I will drink only water and have just a SLIVER of the Cheesecake.

After that at the movies, NO butter on the popcorn. I'll tell you all how much popcorn I ate tomorrow. I don't see it being much really. I gotta be good this weekend for my Monday morning weigh in. Just water, thank you.

It's official. Meg has a sty in her eye. Heading to Walmart for eyedrops and benadril.
