Weight: 221.0

1bread, 1/4c beans, 1c soup, 2eggs.

Salad, cheese, 5oz turkey, 1/2 bag popcorn.

2c soup, a grilled cheese sandwich, 1/2 bag leftover popcorn.

2grapefruit, 2bigpickles, 1orange, 1banana, 1yogurt.

Drank all my water.

Ex. 20 min on treadmill.

Work was busy as heck. I really walked a lot in the warehouse, but I didn't record it. So I really didn't want to go downstairs in the cold basement to walk. But once I got started I didn't mind it. The big screen TV helped a lot too. Yesterday was the same way but I stayed on for 45min min. What I'm trying to say is, suck it up for a little while and you'll probably find yourself in a happy place and you'll feel better for it. Have a Great day.

You are so right about once you get into the exercise you seem to overcome whatever obstacle was making your excuses. I find when I get the exercise in, I am more obedient to my eating plan. But I really make it a point to write out my eats in the morning and if it is not on the list - I don't eat it. The last few months have been my undoing because life got hectic and I didn't post on the weekend and that's where I was most unaccountable. I know it's silly, but that's my method. You are doing fantastic!! Have a great day!!

You're right about sucking it up and moving forward with your plan to exercise. Lately, I've been inviting people to the gym with me. Even if I don't feel like going, I know I'll do it if I've obligated myself to someone. Even when no one is working out or walking with me, I find that I don't mind doing those things ONCE I actually get started! I've been following your posts (so inspiring!) Keep up the good work :)

I know I always feel better after exercise, even if I don't really feel like doing it. Your foods are great and those are seriously healthy snacks!

Thanks for the suggestion of the stationary bike. I looked into a cool gadget that your real bike sits in and it makes it a stationary bike, but my hubby who has to investigate everything says he doesn't think it's worth it. I think ANY exercise is worth it, but I'm just going to wait out this crappy weather. I started my journey last year on January 10th and I just made food alterations. Some weight fell off, but then I plateaued and everyone here said I needed to add some sort of exercise. I had never really formally exercised in my life, so I started walking after work for 2 miles. The weight started to drop again but I got bored and it plateaued again. After reading about hollybelle riding bikes, I thought I would like that because it wouldn't feel like exercise but could be beneficial. I bought my bike in February and really only missed a handful of riding days due to weather. So long story short, this is my first January, and it just may be a little set back but watch out cause I am geared up to go again!!

Yeah ! I lost 4 pounds.

2eggs, 1bread, 1c soup, 1/2c beans.

1slice of liver w/onions, 2very sm. Potatoes, 1/3c beans.

2c soup.

2oranges, 1apple, 1yogurt, 1grapefruit a handful of almonds.

45min. On treadmill.

I want to thank everyone for all of your encouragement, and being with me on this journey. I look forward to reading everyone's post and giving them encouragement too. Let's all keep up the good work, and take good care of ourselves.

4 lbs! Congrats! That's fabulous! Keep up great work and I'm sure you'll see even more results soon. I noticed you like soup. I adore soup as it's such a comfort food. What kind do you usually have? Again, great job on the loss! :)

thanks for the soup info. Sounds yummy and filling! I just recently started using black beans in chili and really like it. Other than the tomato juice, I have all ingredients on hand. Have you ever tried freezing the soup? I know I freeze soup and chili frequently and it seems to work well. I just don't know if rice freezes ok but I know all the other ingredients do. ie- when I make chicken stock/chicken soup, I don't add the noodles if I'm going to freeze it -- just the broth and veggies and then cook and add noodles prior to serving.

How about them Ravens ?

Oatmeal with apple,raisins and cranberrys.

McDonald's Bacon ranch salad.(dropped the bomb on them), (used the card) Wifey ate the tomatoes.

2c. Soup, 1 grilled cheese sandwich.

1banana, 1yogurt, 1orange, 1grapefruit, Sm. Bag of walnuts.

Drank all my H2O.

Used the free meal card on the salad. Wifey usually works on Saturday, so I'm figuring on using there when she gets off every week.

Looking forward to weighing in tomorrow morning, so I gotta be good today. I think weighing in on Monday morning keeps me accountable through the weekend.

Well thanks for the advice but the closest one would be a two hour drive. ha ha Also it was church that led me away from God rather than too him. I have this feeling that God will lead me to the right environment whatever it maybe, I get the sense that whatever it is- its not going to be conventional. haha

Congrats on your Ravens even though I was pulling for Denver! I have family up there and the Mannings are from New Orleans, so when the Saints get knocked out, then we pull for Denver and Chicago. I'm sure your weigh in will be a success tomorrow because you have been very good with your choices. I like themonday weigh in idea for accountability reasons. Salad, cheese, ranch, 7oz turkey.

4c. Soup, 1bag PopCorn.

2grapefruit, 2oranges, 1bigPickle, 1yogurt.

Drank over 100oz. Water.

Walked 25min. Treadmill, 20min. Warehouse.

Wifey works at Mcd's. Yesterday she gave me a card that was good for 1 value meal, every week, for a year...a year ! She gets her meals free. I already get anything I order for 1/2 price. I could possibly use it for a salad. Maybe my daughter can use it. This thing is like a nuclear bomb in my pocket. It could go off at at anytime and cause wide spread devistation. I'll keep you all posted.

I think you'll use self-restraint with the McD's card. You've lost 7 lbs and that is significant. Pick up a 5 lb bag of sugar and a 2 lb can of lard and walk around the house with them for a few minutes. After a while, they get heavy. Well...that's how much weight you're NOT carrying around with you anymore (thanks to your staying on track!)

2eggs, 1bread, 1/4c beans, 1c soup.

Salad, cheese, ranch, 7oz turkey.

Sm. Wendy's chili, potato w/broccoli and cheese.

1orange, 2grapefruit, 1banana, 1bigPickle, 1yogurt, 1c soup.

No excersise :v (

The "soup" you see every day on my diet diary is one I make ahead of time at the 1st of the week. It's something that kind of fills me up in the morning so I can get closer to lunch without becoming too hungry. Also, I go to it when I get the hungries. It has good stuff in it so it won't hurt me TOO bad. Anyway, its one of the "tools" in my toolbox to get me back to healthy again. Just thought I'd tell you guys. Have a healthy day .

1c. Long grain rice. 1/2c. Pinhead (steel cut) oats. 1Lb. Chopped turkey. 1can tomato juice. 1can diced tomatoes. 1can green beans. 1 can black beans. Cook the rice and oats together. Drain and add the canned stuff. It makes a lot so you skinny girls might want to adjust the amounts.

Homemade soup is the best - I have a carrot and tomatillo one that I haven't made in a while (I think the recipe is posted here) that is really filling. Have a good one!

Your soup sounds really good..I make all my meals for the week on Monday, that way I don;t have to deal with what to cook on a daily basis..It certainly makes life alot easier when you are on the go all the time.Hope you had a good day at work :)

2grapefruit, 2orange, 1banana, 1apple, 1yogurt.

Drank all my water.

22min. Treadmill.

I know I over ate. I was just hungry all day long. I was busy all day long. I was weak all day long.

It was difficult to make it through the day without thinking of what I could eat.

Today will be a better day. I'm gonna make it. And you guys are going to make it too.

We all have our hungry days. You didn't eat unhealthy foods so I am sure you will be just fine :) Great job with the workout, hope you have lots of energy at work today!

Just a suggestion for overcoming the hungries - keep a small can of almonds at your desk or in your car. Take only 5 or so and that protein should satisfy you without spiking any blood sugar levels. The trick is eating a bunch of small meals or filling in with healthy snacks. But when the hunger strikes, the healthy snacks have to be there or you WILL eat off plan! Stay strong, one stray won't derail you - it is the habits that become permanent that will derail you. Have a great day!

I know it's no comfort on the day you're hungry, but in a few months when you're under 200lbs looking back you won't even remember a day or two of hunger. If I make it through one of the hungry / weak days, usually the next day is much better. I don't know if the next day being better is physically or just mentally since I was proud of myself for having conquered the previous day.

Water is such a better choice!! I am terrible at drinking enough water, but I gave up soft drinks years ago so I am not skipping the water for something less healthy, I'm just bordering on dehydration according to my dr.! I will drink water today and reflect on your big loss! Have a great day!

I got rid of the cans of pop in the house so that I wouldn't be tempted. I prefer freshly carbonated fountain Mtn Dew anyway. In past years I've tried switching to bottles of water, but would never seem to have them in the correct places to keep me hydrated throughout the day which caused headaches and hunger feelings. This time I kept my giant 64oz insulated Pepsi cup/jug and straw right at my desk where it always is. I fill it up once or twice per day as needed. I think it's a lot easier this time because I'm only changing one thing, the liquid inside. I'm already in the habit of grabbing it and sipping on it throughout the work day as I've done with Mtn Dew for the past decade+. BTW - congratulations on the weight loss, I'm looking forward to seeing a new lower number next Monday.

I've tried weighing myself only once per week, but find that weighing myself daily keeps things fresh in my mind. Unfortunately the pitfall of weighing daily is that you can see temporary swings in either direction that can cause a roller-coaster effect on the day to day emotions.

Awesome job on the water intake! I know how hard it is to give up favorite beverages..For me it was coffee and energy drinks..It's been almost a year since I gave up both of them. I kicked them to the curb due to lack of sleep as well as making me far too hyper/nuts..LOL Hope that you had a good day :)

I was hungry after work. Went back to the soup each time until my hunger was satisfied.

Got coffee at Mcds this morning. They are having a promotion where a lot of their food is only $1. Big Macks are a dollar, Fish, Nuggets. I used to eat there A LOT. I truly believe this is an attempt by the corporation to derail those people who have made a resolution to lose weight and are not eating their food anymore. The timing of this is just wrong. They are trying to knock us off our diets. I got the hell out of there. Thank God for what little will power I have.

I totally agree with Umpqua; crazy documentary, definitely a must-see for those who have some willpower issues with fast food. These days it's very rare for me to venture out for fast food.

I used to eat at McD's twice a day five days a week because my office building was right across the street from it. I cant believe I used to eat that crap almost daily for 5 years straight. I havent been to a McD's since. Just the thought of eating that "food" makes me sick to my stomach! Good for you for sticking with their coffee. Thats probably the healthiest thing they serve, lol!

I probably would've exited that drive-thru with one of each. I know I don't make the best food decisions when it's sitting right in front of me, which is why I have to avoid even going there. I'm not a fan of McD's burgers, but I love their freshly cooked fries with extra salt. (and I've put away my share of sausage McMuffins too) Now that I've finished reading your entry and writing this comment, I really feel like going to McDonalds for some reason......but I won't.

1 1/2 c. Soup, 1/2 bag of pop corn.(saved from yesterday)

2 bananas, 1orange, 1apple, 1yogurt, 2grapefruit.

40 min. Treadmill.

The weekend seem to be hard to stay on track. The church had carrot cake. I chose a banana and an Orange instead.

I weigh in every Monday morning. Lost 7Lbs. Yeah !

Snacks: 2 bananas, 2 oranges, 2 apples, 1 big pickle, 1 yogurt, 1/2 bag of popcorn.

Drank all my water.

Exercise: 20 min. Treadmill.

My legs are still tight after Friday's warehouse walk. I had my headphones on and steppin to the beat.

Looking forward to the football game today. Go Ravens !
