Good morning DD pals

Yesterday food and water was on track.

I really do not have much to report all seems to be going well.  The routine still feels good and I am not feeling as if I am missing out on anything.  I have not had a craving this week for something special like the past two weeks but the week is young.  The only thing I have noticed is that my cravings have been dealt with and they have not created extra cravings which would have been the case in the pass.  The only thing I can attribute this to is the fact that I am not having any sugar - sugar being the worst to activate extra cravings - powerful stuff and definitely better to be left alone.

I did measure myself yesterday and I have 10" less on hips and 10" less on waist and 6" less on bust.   I believe that is the reason why I have to wear a belt to keep my capri pants up right now.  My skin on my inner thighs is real ugly and I think that is from the loss this time.  In 1999 when I loss a lot of weight like 143 pounds (which I maintained till 2012 until my knee injury when I packed on 80 some pounds) my skin went back to normal well lets put it this way not perfect but not like this time.  The second stretch of the skin has really done me in mostly the inner thigh.  I guess I will have to get some spanks to hold myself together but the bathing suit thing is not a pretty site.  I am a little bit ashamed of it and there is no way to hide it when I go to the pool or hot tub.  Well I have to ask myself do I prefer to be fat or ugly thighs.  Simple answer.

No big plans for today cloudy and a little dull.  Going out would do me some good but I really do not need anything.  I will see as the day progresses.

I hear you on the saggy skin. My whole body is looking like a deflated balloon lol! But I prefer saggy to fat any day, and I still have hopes it will tighten up over time. At least I am in a place where I can avoid wearing a swimsuit for a while yet. :)

Sugar is such a dangerous thing... I do my best to avoid it at all costs!

What an amazing job on inches... you really need to be so proud of yourself. As for your skin, is it stretch marks or loose skin? I've definitely heard of some home remedies for both... who knows if they completely work but if you're self conscious about it it might be worth a try?

It is loose skin what they call apron overlap. There is no solution to it unless I get surgery and I think I will just go to spanks LOL.

Good morning DD pals

Yesterday was a very good day food and water just slightly lower.

Today was my official weigh-in eventhough I had weighed myself in the middle of the week for curiousity and today I was down 1 more pound which makes it a  weekly total of 3 pounds.

I am almost half way there - almost at the top of the mountain looking down to the finish line.  I think the worst part of this is  starting, finding a routine, working through the evening cravings,  eliminating all the sugars and just staying true to your decision about doing this.  

I am very encoraged about this journey and I am very greatful to have all of you guys along with me on this journey.  I enjoy your comments and appreciate your words of wisdom and your words of kindness.

Good morning

Yesterday was good and water was good.

Food was low as I have been saying in my last few posts.  I did have my hamburger from Wendy but that was it until the evening and then I had a toast before going to bed.  My calories are low.  I felt full.  My stomach has shrunk that is the only thing I can say.  I did not feel sick to my stomach yesterday and that was good.

I think my caloric intake is lower now, too, but that seems to be ok,since high quality foods have all the things my body needs, just not the "extras" it doesn't. Have a great day, glad you enjoyed the hamburger :)

After reading the comments I will not worry about my calorie intake. I figure that if I am not hungry I should not eat and eat only when I am hungry. I am sure my body would tell me if it needed. I am having my protein, my carbs my fats my veg I am a little low on fruit but I figure that getting the other stuff in is more important to fill up on higher nutritional stuff.

I'm sure your stomach has shrunk and is also less tolerant of the high fat and high sugar foods. That's a good thing! It's just my opinion but I wouldn't worry about the calorie intake if your'e eating healthy, which you have been. Some days will be lower and I think your body will get hungry if you need more. When I've done certain diets like low carb my calories were really low too, but I never felt deprived. As long as you feel full and energetic I think you're doing OK!

Good morning guys

Yesterday was very good food and water a little low.

I am having reactions to my coffee in the morning just does not sit well in my stomach actually there are quite a few thing that really upset my stomach lately.  I dont know if my stomach has shunk too much.  I remember when one of my girlfriend had a gastric bypass her eating was so limited she had several meals but little meals.  I find that my stomach is not allowing me to eat a full meal at a time.  Example yesterday I made my crab salad which had 1 cup and half of  lettuce, 1 echalotte, half a cup of crab, two eggs and one third cup of graded cheese it was the equivalent of about in size to a large ceasor salad in a restaurant.  It took me 3 time to finish it which means that  was my food for the entire day.  That worries me. Very low calorie intake plus actually two low in calorie for the day.

Another thing that really bothers me is anything high in fat just wants to make me throw up.  Sugar stuff give me a fuzzy head feeling.  Remember last week when I had my BBQ Ribs and I was telling you guys how Fat that tasted and I am not ready to do that again soon.  Am I the only one that is experiencing this.  I know I wanted to cut down my appetite but this is the other end of the spectrum.  

I still get some craving and this weeks craving is having a burger I am not a McDonald or a Burger King but I do like Wendy's burgers so today I will attempt to have a burger.  Just a Burger nothing else and I will let you know.  I do believe in satisfying cravings because they just escalad to other things if you dont.

I agree with you - sometimes it is best to satisfy cravings. I did that today because after the gym I was craving something higher carb with sugar that would just help me recover right away after a weights workout. I think I did the best thing when I bought a cliff bar at 7-11 because it's what I really wanted and I will probably feel better than if I didn't have it. Also, even though I am sorta mentally wanting something else to eat, I've realized that i'm not hungry (had the bar around an hour ago)...and that only my stomach is sorta empty, but my body is satisfied since the bar also had some fat and protein.

Are you serious in that you want to eat more calories? That you want to increase your calories or not eat too low? I would say the easiest fix is to either lessen the amount of veggies at every meal. For instance, still to a cup of veggies instead of more so that you can include other higher cal things (like a healthy carb and protein and also a piece of avocado for instance). This would increase calories.

Good morning DD members

Yesterday was good again food and water.

I felt as if I had lost weight this morning when I got up and this is not my norm to do this but I did step on the scale and I was down 2 pounds and decided to register it.  Now I have to see if it will stick till Monday when it is my regular weigh-in time. 

In December I had set a goal for myself to be down to 245 by the end of January but I will reset that goal since we are only in the first week of January and I have attained that so I would like to see the 239 by the end of January now that is a challenge.  This might just be a pipe dream but I can dream can't I.  I will not be disappointed if I dont reach it because I did give myself till the end of September to loose this weight and if not September whenever it happens.  It is nice thought to set a goal and work on attaining it.  It does give me a sense of motivation.

I have nothing extraordinary going on today.  I might just go shopping a bit just to get out of the house and have some human contact. 

I wanted to tell you guys I made myself a wonderful Crab salad yesterday that turned out to be so good.  I did make it too big which ended up cutting into my dinner appetite.  At 7:00 pm I got a little hungry so I had some fruit and yogurt and that got me to bed.  My calorie intake yesterday was low but I did feel really satisfied.  I guess we have days where the calories are not up there and then we have days where the calories are higher.

Wow, you are doing great! Glad the salad turned out well. I don't think you're dreaming either - you've worked very hard to get here, and you'll make it to your goals :)

Good morning all

Yesterday was good water and food.  Staying on track.

It was an uneventful day and that is a good thing.  I am not planning anything for today because it is rather cool out and will just read a book and relax. 

I am glad I ran my errands yesterday.  My cupbaords are stocked up for the next 5 day approximately with only good stuff no way of going off track with what is in the house.  Sometimes I thing that is boring and other time I am grateful nothing is in those cupboards that would tempt me.  I still struggle with the balance of trying new things but worry that I will like them way too much I am sure I am not the only one that is like that.  I do not like to put myself in the temptation environment.  I do much better with temptions when people are around but alone in the same room with temption I am not sure what I would do.  This is one of the things I have to work on.

So much for my rambling on with my little insecurities.  Wishing you all a great day.

Yay for staying on track... it might seem like a small success but small success add up quickly over time!

As far as temptations...I'm the same way if it's there and I'm alone I'm definitely more likely to binge.

I always like getting my cupboards stocked with healthy foods - I'm heading out in a few minutes to do just that! I understand about the temptations too, I seem to snack a lot more at night when my husband isn't around.

Good idea getting your cupboards stocked. For me it doesn't matter if I'm alone or with others, it's the situation that brings on unhealthy eating.

Good morning DD pals

Yesterday my food and water where right on track.

I always have a good day when I stay on track no side effect like the other day when I eat things that I have been off for several months.  Sugar is the worst with the fuzzy head and feeling like I am floating around.  The natural sugars in the food and fruit are ok and we know there is sugar in a lot of stuff we eat but it is only the desert stuff that gets me because the concentration of sugar is just so high. 

Today I am planning a non eventful day just my regular errands I have to pick up some fresh protein again.  I will make a trip to the fish market. I also need some fruit and the fresh Florida strawberries are in and that sounds like a good plan.  I would also like to get some watermelon.  I enjoy having some fruit in the evening for a snack - I remember the snacks I use to have "what was I thinking" lol.  On the fruit I dont put too much importance of counting the calories.

I definitely know what you mean about the side effects of sugar - it effects me a bit differently but always noticeable. Studies have been done showing that sugar (processed sugar) is more addictive than cocaine... no wonder we feel the effects.

Strawberries and watermelon sound really good right now. They are so expensive in the stores here now. I agree with the processed sugar - it just does me in!

Those fruits sound delicious! I splurged on strawberries over the holidays but they're really expensive here right now too. We're stuck with bananas, pears, apples and oranges for the most part.

Good Morning DD pals

Yesterday was good food a little bit more but water was really high 12 glasses.

I did have my BBQ ribs yesterday and discovered that it is way to high in fat content.  I guess I have been eating much more lean cuts of meat and the ribs tasted good but I could taste the fat in the meat so much more.  I did have a problem digesting and felt a little bit sick to my stomach.  I am no longer use to this type of food - that is a good thing.  I do not regret contenting my craving because I would have kept on craving it and missing it.  Today I am back on my plan and I am content to be back on my plan.

In the past 4 1/2 months my body has definitely changed and not only in shape but in telling me in its own way what is good or not good for me.  Yesterday was proof of that.  I remember a little while back when I had my family over for supper I had a sliver of pecan pie and my body reacted to the sugar - I know that pecan pie is high in sugar actually almost all sugar but I got a slight headache from the sugar and that was when I realized that sugar was not going to be my friend anymore.  I dont remember the last time my body was so in tune with my brain - sending me mesages of being full, way too fat food, way too much sugar but I have to admit it is eye awakening moments.

Sorry to be going on and on this morning but I was shocked yesterday at my reaction.

Wow, that was a revelation, wasn't it? Tells you how far you have come. You are right about the cravings. I recently ordered something in a restaurant I thought I wanted, and when it was in front of me, realized I really did not want to eat it anymore. That was a surprise for me, too. You are doing great!

I know what you mean about indulging cravings, but that's great that your body is sending the right signals about certain foods. I make ribs at home occasionally and try to do a healthy version in the crockpot or broiler without the high-sugar sauces, but they are still very high in fat no matter what. I hope you have a good one!

Sugar will do it to me every time! But if doing this right, it's a lifestyle change and sometimes those cravings need to be fed. One way or another we'll find out how much our body appreciates/despises our choices.

Good morning

Yesterday was very good for food and water.

I use to weigh-in on Monday at the same time as Ohio Raven and then went to Sundays but I do prefer the Mondays - so I decided to reweigh myself today and make it my offical weight for the week - I was down 1 pound.

I am planning my night out for supper this week and since I am in the state of BBQ ribs it is certainly what I have been craving over the past week since I have been down here.  I know it is not the healthiest craving.  I will have to do some serious being good after that supper.

Everything else is going good and I have nothing to complain about.  On this note I will wish you all a great week and a wonderful day.

Sounds like a craving worth giving in to! When I formerly ate meat, BBQ was my favorite, especially loved Tennessee and Kentucky!! Never was a ribs fan, but definitely you enjoy that! Congrats on the weight loss!!!

Good afternoon DD pals

Food was perfect yesterday and so was water.

Today was my weigh-in and the scale stayed the same.  I might just be on another plateau but that is ok last time it definitely had a positive effect on the weight loss once it ended.  I will continue to be faithful to my plan and wait it out just like last time.

We are having a beautiful day today started out cloudy and now it seems to be turning out to be partly sunny and warm.  We are expecting a T-storm later today and clearing for the next 3 days.  I will take advantage of those days for my walks. 

I should run some errand but got my cleaning done earlier today and now I just feel like vegying (I don't think that is word) for the rest of the day. 

I haven't had time to think about food yet for today but will come up with something.  I have been craving seafood might just have a crab salad for dinner.  I have found a fresh fish and seafood market but it is whatever the catch is for the day - the selection is pretty good.  I am looking forward to having some grouper but have to be there on the day they get it or it is gone.  I am sure I will be doing a regular ride to that market.  Nothing like fresh fish.
