Good morning all

Yesterday was perfect water and food right on track.  I feel much better than earlier this week. 

Tomorrow is weigh-in day and I feel confident that I will have a positive result - might not be as big if I had been good all week.

I have to admit it has been a very hard week.  I have learned a lot from this binge.  It far more affect me mentally then physically.

We are having a beautiful sunny day.  It is quite cool outside and Spring does not seem to be coming fast enough.  We did get a little bit of snow during the night but today is sunny and that is a bonus.

Today I have to clean out my washroom because the repair man is coming to fix the ceiling due to the leak from the condo above me.  It will be a mess for a few days then the sanding dust will be the other mess I will have to clean up.  That fine dust gets into everything even if you try to contain it.   Next week will be busy.  That is good it will give me projects and take my mind off food.

I hope you all have a great day and for those who have a weigh-in tomorrow and there are a few of us I wish you all the best.  We will touch base tomorrow.

Good for you getting back on track. Hope your weigh in is encouraging. I know what you mean about house in a mess with workmen. Ours are coming back tomorrow to finish up the new heating system.

Good for you realizing the mental price you pay. First step - take the guilt and shame out of any food choice. I have found that this makes healthier choices a lot easier-not the other way around, surprisingly - think about it and let me know what you think. Also - regarding the dry wall dust from the bathroom repair - we made them tape a plastic sheet around the door to keep the amount of dut down in the rest of the house and it helped tremendously.

Thank your for the tip. That is exactly what I have planned for around the bathroom door. I agree about the guilt and shame. It really plays the worst trick on us.

it was sorta mandatory - my boss asked, so you feel bad when you say no. most people don't say no. i have changed my mind on this...and i am going to change some of my actions at work completely. i cannot work those hours again. it was horrible!

Good Morning

I had a wonderful day my water on track 9 glasses and my food definitely totally back on track.

It took 3 full days to detox my body from the foods that I had cheated with.  Amazing how long sucres and white stuff stay and make you crave  more of it.  Yesterday was the first day that I had no cravings and that I did not have any of the "stinking thinking" during my day.  I am so happy that i stuck it out and held on.  Thank you guys you got me through another hard time.  I have to admit I feel better about my weigh-in on Monday.  I do not know what it will be but it will definitely not be as bad as it would have been had not gotten this under control. 

I so have to walk the line and think twice before I do anything that is destructive.  I get into such a fog when my cravings come that I see or hear nothing else and it is just such a crazy time.  The out of control feeling is the worst.  The disappointment follows.

Ah, I get that fog thing. Part of the "trick" is mindfulness. I do the same thing, but I call it not paying attention" but it is the same "foggy feeling" you are talking about, I think. Let the fog lift and it's not telling what we can do!

Good morning

I am back on track water 8 glasses have to trying to up that.  My last glass was definitely forced intake.  My food is back on tract and the struggle is much better.  I feel my body is detoxing from all the stuff I put into it.

I also feel a little bit sluggish like Raven today.  It will definitely be a relax day for me.  I think it is because of the stress of this week - RE THE FOOD.  I have noticed that slipping back into my bad habits is easy but getting back on track is much harder every time I screw up.  I have to get it into my head that if I keep on doing this there will be a time where I will screw up and might not be able to recover from the slip.  Is it worth taking these chances.

We are getting snow again today.  I wonder when this Winter is going to end eventhough they say Spring will soon be here.  Spring might be coming in somewhere but certainly not here.  It has been a very long Winter.  I need to be able to get out of this house soon without having to think about the weather.

Our ground is still covered in snow but I'm hoping it will melt over the weekend. I am SO ready for spring and gardening season. Have a good one Fran!

We've had an extremely mild Winter here in Montana. I think I've only had to shovel twice and even then they weren't bad.

Today is going to be a down day for me also. I'm feeling a little sore and worn out. Thought about skipping the gym last night and start the rest a day early, but forced myself to go anyway.

Hey, Puddy. I got a BIG water bottle I keep at my desk. When its done, I've had enough. Some days I can finish before I go home. Sometimes not. I struggle on the weekends though, cause its not in front of me. Hope you get some warmer weather and get out of the house soon. Take care, Puddy :v)

Yes, that is my cycle, isn't it - hard to get started and then a period where it feels good and then slipping back into the old habits. Then all over again. I wish I could just skip the slipping back part! I know it can be done. I don't understand why I don't do it, though.

It's so very easy to backslide and so frustrating. Just keep getting back on track and reminding yourself what the benefits are when you get to your goal. Can be hard to stay motivated, but we just have to. Enjoy your weekend.

Good morning all

My water was 8 glasses would like to get it back up to 10.  My food was much better but still not totally back to normal. 

I struggled last evening.  My meal schedule is still off which gives me too much time in the evening after dinner.  That is what I have to work on today.  I was also watching TV and every commercial was about food.  I am sure a lot of you guys can relate to this.  I was also out of everything last night no fruit or yogurt or cottage cheese left in the house.  It was really hard and I tried going to sleep but my mind was working overtime.

Today I will go out and get fruit and yogurt and snack stuff that are really healthy and not overly high in cal. or crbs.  The most important thing is that I have to get back to my dinner at 7:00 pm that is the important thing for me.  It really cuts down the amount of time between dinner and bed time at 11:00 or so.   I am not looking forward to my weigh-in on Monday eventhough I still have quite a few days to go.  I know that the more I worry about it the worst it is.  I have to let it go.

Another day starts.  I will do my best today.  That promise I make to myself.

After dinner used to be my favorite time to munch on snacks. I'd sit down in front of the tv for an hour with my wife and go throw a bag of chips, cookies, pretzels, or whatever. Now I'm on a diet and we don't have our tv hooked-up (doing some remodeling). We don't have the junk food in the house anymore so I'm not all that tempted. I still like to have some sort of snack after dinner, but usually keep it to something small like a cheese-stick, couple olives or something small.

We normally watch movies at night from Netflix, so no commercials. But occasionally my hubby, who likes to cook, will watch a cooking show and it drives me NUTS! I'm so glad he only cooks healthy, low-fat stuff.

hmmmm the night time eating. It sucks doesnt it? Im attempting to stop eating after dinner, no if ands or butts. Just keep myself entertained and walk away from the kitchen. Good luck!!

Stocking up on healthy snacks should definitely help at night. We have dinner between 6:30 and 7 and that definitely helps me to feel fuller. Have a good one!

My routine is usually dinner at 7:00 also but on the weekend at my friends place we had dinner earlier so when I got back to my place I was hungry earlier and I am just now getting back to my own routine. It does not take much to get me off my routine. Thank you for your comments.

Good job finding stategies to deal with all these challenges throughout the day, afternoon and night. it is not easy, I want to eat all afternoon after I get back from work. I know I want to reward myself since my job is so meaningless that I feel this huge void. Hard to realize everything that is going on and then take ACTION to change behavior. Thanks for sharing and it so helpful to share our stories here. May the force be with you!!!!

At least you keep posting even when you feel like you're not quite sticking to your plan. When I screw up I usually feel too ashamed / guilty and end up hiding which just leads to more failure. Back on track for today, good job in advance.

Good morning all

My water was good but that is about all that was good yesterday.

I got into an ice cream container and it was good right to the end lol - Definitely today will be a better day.  Just dont know what it was with yesterday.  It had nothing to do with me being hungry it was just I wanted ice cream.  Crazy stuff.

Now that confession is done I feel better.  Just hate it when I do things like that.  Such insanity.

I will work at keeping myself on the right track today.  I will eat healthy.  I will feel much better with my healthy schedule.  I felt terrible physically and mentally yesterday after I had the ice cream.  All that sucre and the fat  I almost felt sick to my stomach after not having sucre for weeks it was not a pretty site.

hahah oh the old ice cream container....ah I know it well....Hey, we all have those days. Just start over. ALso, if you are ever in the mood for ice cream, you can freeze fruit - pop in blender, add some milk and some honey or peanut butter or some chocolate and BAM. Ice cream. :)

Good morning all

Water yesterday was 8 glasses and food was on track.

My weigh-in was this morning and I am down 1.2lbs.  I am happy with that.  I am looking forward to seeing 240something soon I hope. 

I start week 9 this week and this means I now go back to my scarsdale schedule and not the maintenance for two weeks.  I seem to enjoy more these weeks then the maintenance ones.  I enjoy being told what to eat. LOL this from somebody that does not like to be told what  to do  lol but in this case I do.

Today would have been my mother's birthday.  I always think of my parents on these special occasions.  I guess it is just natural to remember all these dates even if they are no longer around.  She was a great women and human being.  I do miss her. 

My plan for today is go out and do my groceries for the week.  We are getting rain for the next two days and that is good it will melt all the snow around.  It is also very mild 2 and 3 c.  At least will not be freezing my A... off and I do not have to clean off the snow on my car.

Good morning all

I am back and I did real good.  I maintained my water intake and my food was real good - I am surprised.  I did have one Coors light and that was my extent of cheating.  Eventhough I am on my two weeks of maintenance I still kind of consider it cheating.  My friend cooked real healthy foods and I picked what I wanted.  He has enough leftovers for a few days. 

Tomorrow is weigh-in day.  Looking forward to see if any damage was caused but I am hopefull it has not because I dont feel as if I gained.

Good morning all.

Water 9 glasses yesterday and food was good. 

Well again I am going away for the weekend to my friend's place.  I am really debating putting my weigh-in to Fridays instead of Mondays.  If my schedule keep on being away on Fridays like now it might be better.  Now that Spring is coming and I am more at his place then mine on weekends it might just make sense to have the weigh-in on Fridays.  I will have to ponder that a little bit more.  Keeping it on Monday might just keep me more careful as to what I eat during these weekends. 

I am quite pleased with how things are going I seem to have gone over the major craving problem (touch wood) LOL  My routine seems to fit my daily schedule - example at 1:00 pm I start drinking my water and get it over with 8  glasses and if I need to drink after that it is just a bonus.  Since I changed my hours for my meals it seems to have help the evening cravings.  Experimenting with different things and also with all your comments have brought me to a comfortable place of acceptance as to what I have to do to get to where I want to get.  I use to question why can't I eat anything I want - it is very simple that kind of doing got me to where I was - do I really want to go there again and then I think .  

OK enough of this - sorry to have been going on with my thoughts this morning.  I hope you all have a great weekend and I will see you guys probably Sunday afternoon.  Take care and be kind to yourself.

I allow a small evening snack which I eat before 8pm. Tried cutting out all evening snacking in the beginning, but realized it wouldn't work. Have a great weekend!

I now have my dinner at 7:30 pm and I always eat slow do not finish it before 8:15 or so. That helps me get to 10:00 and to bed without having cravings. That is what worked for me. We all have our tricks.

Good Monring All

Water 12 glasses and Food on track.

As hungry as I was the day before yesterday I was not hungry.  I actually left some and probably will have enough left for my dinner tonight.  Now that is rare for me. 

I just wish I could have had a better night of sleep.  I know that I will probably go back and have a nap a little bit later on because I just did not get enough sleep.  I was just tossing and turning and that drives me crazy and I rather just get up then do that. 

We are getting more snow right now.  I was hoping that the snow would have started to melt for Easter but it does not seem to want to end this year.

No I did not try that but i will - got to get some green tea. I went to bed at 10:30 and woke up at 2:30 then tossed and turned - I got 4 hrs but I will go back for a few hours this morning probably around 7 or 8. Thanks for the remedy. Have a good day Raven.

Sorry that you didn't have a restful night of sleep :( I used to get up after bouts of insomnia in my coffee days but I find if I stay put in bed eventually i would fall back to sleep..Hope you had a wonderful day <3
