Weight: 254.0

Hey, it's been awhile. I went on a job interview. It looks like I'll be moving to Arizona. I was absolutely horrible eating wise on my trip. What's new??????????? I'm feeling overwhelmed with the thought of moving. I usually use that as an excuse to eat, but I'm going to try not to this time. I just wanted to let eveyone know that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. I'll write more and read soem to comment on soon. Good day!

Heidipuppy on 05/07/2002:
Good luck on your new job. I used to live in Phoenix years ago. It is a great city. I still go there to visit a sister that just moved there and my best friend and little one, my favorite nephew.

MichelleP on 05/07/2002:
Hi,

Good luck in Arizona!! Change for me is hard so I can understand! Take care and have a great day!

Well, Tomorrow is my day to weigh in and I've a two really terrible days. I'm not even going to try to list all the things I've eaten although I probably should so I can see it all in black and white. Anyway, I guess the only thing I can do at this point is to start again. I'll weigh tomorrow and see if there's any damage.

MichelleP on 04/27/2002:
Hi,

Here is a big hug! Starting over is a good thing, sometimes. Good luck with your weigh-in! Take care and have a wonderful Saturday!

biscottibody59 on 04/27/2002:
Even if you don't put it in here, get a little spiral notebook and keep it to yourself. I've been writing in one since Nov 2000--it's not full, because I've lost it at times and just stayed out of it for days or weeks. It's a really good exercise. YESSS! we can do this and get back on track!

Keep up the good work!

moocow35 on 04/27/2002:
Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow! I also can't seem to get with the program of getting serious with eating right. I am forever "starting again tomorrow" I once again am trying to lose this weight for a vacation. I blew it last year, and had the same amount of time to do it in. I've got 292 more days, WE CAN DO IT!!

Well, wouldn't you know it, I missed a day already. My son had a Cubscout Pack Meeting last night and everything was hectic. We went to dinner and I remembered to order a diet drink. Sodas are my weakness. I was a 44 oz big Gulp junkie!!! Anyway it was late and I didn't get to write. Yesterday: Breakfast: Yogurt Banana

Lunch: Chicken stir fry tea

Dinner: Salad with ham and light dressing DIET soda.

Snack: 1oz cheese and fat free crackers

Today:

Breakfast: Special K cereal with skim milk orange juice

Lunch: Other 1/2 of Arby's sand from the other day. V-8

Dinner: Spaghetti dinner at my sons' school. Spaghetti, salad roll and tea. I had a Mexican Sweet bread for dessert.

No snack.....I'd better go to bed before I want one!!!!

Thanks for the comments.....I'm going to try to read some of the diaires tomorrow. I get alot of ideas and support from them.

momof4 on 04/25/2002:
I'm a big gulp junkie too -- but now it is diet! When I was first switching over - I would mix it half and half and gradually put more and more diet in - till that's what it was! Hope you have a great Thursday!

pastagal on 04/25/2002:
I use to be a diet pepsi junkie,,,thought that is all i could drink and be satisfied,,,i have found,once i start consuming LOTS of water,you really do lose the urge for the sodas,right now i am drinking at least 5-32 oz muggs of water a day and its keeping me full,,,and cleaned out:}}You sound like your doing great,keep it up,,,have a wonderful day ok:}

MichelleP on 04/25/2002:
Hi,

Way 2 go on the diet drink. I sat down one day and figured up how many calories I was getting from soda, I used to drink at least 6 reg cokes a day. I was taking in 1,260 cal a day from soda, 8,820 cal a week and 39,060 per month... to say the least I have not had a regular soda since, LOL now I have maybe 1 diet soda a week the rest is water! Take care and have a great day!

Ok, It's about 4:00pm.. I have a meeting tonight so I thought I'd better do my entry now. It has been a good day. I got a headache from lack of sugar, I'm sure. I'm going right now to jump on the trampoline for my exercise.

Breakfast: egg beaters wheat toast with simply friut spread 97% lean sausage orange juice

Lunch: 1/2 Arby's Market Turkey sand w/o sauce. DDP

Dinner: Served at meeting.....will stay away from sweets. Ususlly they serve salad and a caserole. I have quite a few calories left, so I should be fine.

I'm getting a trampoline this summer. I need a little change in my exercise. Take care and have a great day!! :)

MichelleP on 04/22/2002:
Hi,

LOL You gave me a great idea! I have a big trampoline in my back yard, my son is always on it, maybe if it does not hurt my back I can add that to my workout! THANK YOU! LOL its funny how something can be right in front of you and you dont even think about it... duhh! Your menu today sounds great! Writting it all down is a great idea, I keep a notebook on my desk where I write down everything I eat and exercise and cal burned. I carry a post-it note I carry at work where I write down what I eat during the day , and how much water I drink. It seems to help me alot! Take care and have a wonderful night!

OOH! As I was reading through the diaries, I saw that one person had written down what was eaten that day. I'm going to steal that idea. that way I can go back and look.

Got up late so Brunch: Breakfast sandwhich made with 1 egg, english muffin, slice of fat free cheese, one patty on 97%lean sausage, 1 cup grape juice.

Dinner: grilled fish, 1/2 cup rice, beets, pineapple

Snack: Iced late with skim milk and sugar free vanilla

Exercise: Bike ride

It's sort of eating up my code and not letting it be seen. I'll send you an email with the info on color.

Thanks for jumping right in with your comments--have a great week and keep up the good work!

Well, I made it through the first day.....which is a first. I went to the store to buy a few items to help me out....food I like, but is lower in calories. My first goal has to be to get through a week. There are 5 weeks left of school....so that will be my second goal. My sister's wedding is July 6th....my third goal because I have to wear a bridesmaid dress...then a longer goal is to see a noticable difference by the time school starts again in Aug. My longest two goals are 1) I want to lose quite a lot before I turn 40 in Dec. 2)My husband and I are going to renew our vows on our 20th aniversary which is Aug 2003. I want to wear my wedding dress for that. So.....one day at a time..................<:-)

momof4 on 04/21/2002:
That is great that you have your goals planned out for the long range. One day at a time. Drink water. I am amazed at how much I drink in a day - sometimes keeps me from snacking. Have a good night and a great Monday!

Ok, today is the first day down a long road. I've been fighting this problem for 18 years. And unlike some, I do know what it was like to be thin. I can't even remember what it felt like, but I have the pictures to look at. I need to lose 102 pounds. It seems like so much. I went on a net search and found many useful sites. That search lead me here. I think that this diary business will really help. I'm more determined than I have ever been, so here goes......

MichelleP on 04/21/2002:
Hi,

Welcome to the group! Glad you found us! I have found everyone here very helpful, supportive, and full of wonderful ideas. I was close to where you are now when I started. I wish you all the best as you enter the road to a new you. I looked at your bio, we have a bit in common. I have 2 kids ages 11 and 12. I am a teachers aide although I have my own students, in a co-teach setting. I work with mainstream Autism students, grade 4 this year.

Take care and have a wonderful Sunday!

MichelleP on 04/21/2002:
