Hello DD Pallies ~
Didn't post later part of the week because I'm didn't show progress due to it bring that time of the month - Vortex!! But I didn't gain at all - which was a plus!
Tonight the headache kicked in so I just took an Imitrex. So funny that the symptoms of a period stay even after menopause.
I have been keeping up with good eating and exercising, but I need a plan for the next 2 weeks to "give it 100%".
I'll think about it tomorrow when this headache is gone.
Until then - you all take care!!
Progress as of today: 38 lbs lost so far, only 18 lbs to go!
Hello DD Pallies~
So I was 99% on target with what I planned to drink, eat and exercise yesterday. I had a few tortilla chips while I was making my after track snack. That was the only issue.
Also, broke out a bit today (pimples). I don't expect weight loss until next week because the bumps mean I'm in that "vortex" week. If I wasn't in this menopause stage, I would be having a period now. The symptoms still come every month which I call the vortex week. Usually I gain a few pounds, this week I'm staying flat so far.
2 1/2 half weeks to my business trip and jaunt down to my hometown for the weekend.
I love / hate countdowns! Whatever ends up happening with this short mini push of buckling down, I'll be fine with the outcome ~
********* Practice breathing and relaxing ~ smile and laugh! Have a great day!!

Happy Wednesday DD Pallies ~
So I did exactly the same on Monday - great water & food intake, plus did all my workouts, but I ate a little bit more (not much) than what I had planned for my after track snack.
I'm not as much mad at myself for eating a little bit extra, but I want to work on my discipline, willpower and fortitude. I want to be able to control myself and when I say "this is all I'm going to do".
Today is another day to work on this! I'm going to try again...

Be happy all! Have a great day!!

Happy Tuesday DD Pallies~
Accountability - I was good until I was prepping my "after-track snack". Darn - then I blew it! As I was making it, I was nibbling on stuff! I was so close to a perfect day!!
Today I'm am going to try harder. After track is my weakest, hungriest time of the day. I'm going to give it my all!
I'm going to post later today only if I stick to my plan - follow the foods I chose and not work late and miss an exercise. If I blow it - no post from me again today - I'll try again tomorrow.
We'll see . . .
********** Reminder - be good to yourself!

Happy Monday DD Pallies~
I enjoyed posting yesterday and want to keep it up as I prep for my hometown trip coming up in 3 weeks.
I feel we post to hold ourselves accountable to each other.
My day plan is the same as I posted on Sun 3/15 which will be for all this week and weekend.
I'm going to post later today only if I stick to my plan - follow the foods I chose and not work late and miss track or an exercise.
If I blow it - no post from me again today. I'll try again tomorrow.
I hope to post later today with a good follow up report!
We'll see . . .

Just a caveat - love yourself at every size!

No Cheetos while heating up my panini - work stocks all sorts of snacks by the microwave. It's been recent that I've been bad with the Cheetos and then a handful of licorice at about 4:30.
Not today - the next time I can eat is my after track snack.
Posting to be real and accountable ...
Hello DD Pallies~
So I officially said "SO LONG" to the 160's and have been blocking and tackling in the 150's for about a month now.
I am very motivated because as part of a business trip in 3 weeks, I tagged on 3 days in my hometown where I have family and friends and I want to look my best. Until menopause, other than being pregnant, I was always between 127 and 138.
I tend to change up things every 4 months or so, but here is my regiment now:
7 days a week: I start this later on weekends
- 4:30 am - 45 min stretch
- 7 am - track (brisk walk) 2 miles at least
- oatmeal or scrambled eggs - no sides
- snack banana, orange or apple
- lunch - a panini, chicken sandwich or a salad, side of yogurt
- snack cracker pack
- 30 minutes of stretch
- 7 pm track again (at least 2 1/2 mile)
- fish or chicken dinner, fresh tomato slices
- 1/4 cup - really small goblet of Cabernet (reward)
Time to start the stretch now! Have a great Sunday! Be good to yourself! Focus on your goals!

Hi DD Pallies ~
Happy Valentine's Day!! I'm up a bit in in weight - mostly due to the colds that swept thru our house in January putting us all off schedule. Plus, we went to Vegas for Super Bowl weekend and I've had killer work hours lately - just really busy. And I'll be honest that I'm down a bit in my usual focus and discipline - need to jump back on the train!
Feeling great today and about to head to the living room to do a 40-min stretch and then to walk track.
Going to dinner tonight with hubby - and will do my best to be good and not go crazy!
Would love to be in the mid-50's by end of month. It will only happen with some hard work and effort.
We'll see how that goes ~
Have a great day all!
Progress as of today: 30 lbs lost so far, only 26 lbs to go!
Usually, when healthy options are available, it's so much easier to eat out. I am going to a restaurant on Sunday and the menu is HORRIBLE! it's Italian...and the salad offerings are probably only appetizer size...and the sides for veggies are just one - butter and olive oil broccoli raab. i am actually thinking of ordering something i usually don't - penne alla vodka...but i prob wont, since i know i would eat way too much. ..
Hi DD Pallies ~
Finally got rid of that awful January cold that ran thru our house! I hated being off track with everything and have been working nights and weekends after 10-hour days to catch up on reports and work.
I stayed in the 150's all month, but this week is the "vortex" week and I jumped up without eating any more than normal. I have this week tracked now so when it comes, I just don't let if bother me.
Just finished a 40-minute stretch - now bath and I'll be on the track by 7 and then going to work!
TGIF friends!!!
Progress as of today: 34 lbs lost so far, only 22 lbs to go!
DD Pallies
Sorry to be offline - just getting over the flu which has hit 3 out of 4 of us in the family!
Going back to work tomorrow and will put in for the first sick dates in over two years.
I haven't had any appetite at all - which is the reason I'm in the 150s.
I'm not going to get excited until I'm 100% recovered and eating normal again. I'm going to try to be very careful.
I won't do an AM track due to the cold, but I will try to do the first stretch since last week - pony kicks and all at 4:30 a.m.
If the temp is in the low 60s, then I may try a PM track tomorrow night.
Please take care all - I hope you all stay healthy and on top of your goals this week!!
Progress as of today: 36 lbs lost so far, only 20 lbs to go!
Happy New a Year DD Pallies ~
So this year started with a bunch of people around me with health goals. At work, people are connecting with a fit app where they see what each other eats (counting calories) and how much they work out. Everything is calculated. I'm not in it, but I'm supporting them and will do definitely participate when they go out and celebrate (rewards). They know I do my own thing. We are all keeping each other accountable. They have all brought in a bunch of healthy snacks and they plan to eat every 2 hours to keep their metabolism up. They are all in good shape - all are under 150, but they have gained this past year because our office is always stocked with treats, drinks, the works! I never touch it - if I did, I wouldn't stop.
Then there is us - the DD buddies - we all reset are goals for the year!
What I've learned is that during a menopause diet, if you relied on when pound comes off, then it is so frustrating because I can do everything right and gain and do everything wrong and lose - it is a really crazy!
So you all see that I really work out hard everyday even while working a 10 hour office job. I don't look for just the weight loss to feel good, but the effort I've put in. If I put in the effort, I do see results and it helps me stick to eating right. Exercise also makes you feel good.
Today - I'm doing my routine with the exception of moving the 2nd track to earlier in the day because it's the weekend:
- AM - wake up and do a 40-min stretch workout with kicks
- Then 3-mile track at the park - Later this afternoon do another 3-mile track at the park
- I have 3 and 5 pound weights in my bathroom which I do 50 reps of a bunch of different things every time I come in here
For eating, I do oatmeal in the am and then 2 small meals during the day. I eat nothing after 5 pm and no snacking. If I get really really hungry, then I will eat an apple or a banana.
I'm on a scale black-out from last Thu to Mon - kind of a mini competition with myself.
Thought I'd let you know what the current plan is which I hope will get me in to the 150's and then the 140's shortly!
Have a great weekend!
Progress as of today: 32 lbs lost so far, only 24 lbs to go!

I know what you mean by doing well...but wanting to do far better despite it. Sounds like me - I know how to do well, but usually doing well doesn't last long.
Before my sister gets married next April, i'm going to order foods shipped to my door for at least 2 weeks. It's an organic, mostly plant-based diet which would deliver great results. Could probably only afford it for that time :)
