Okay, it's WEIGH DAY!! Back into the 150's, yippee!! Not bad, I guess. I know I can do better though. I didn't really exercise as much as I could have and if I could just get through the weekend without so much cheating, I know I could lose even more this week. In fact, I was kinda surprised that I did lose this past week. I sure don't feel any skinnier, heh. So how's your day going so far? I'll check in later to check up on y'all. Today's gym day but I may just take it easy on my poor foot with the walking. Maybe I'll only do 2 miles, I don't know. Depends on how I feel after 2. Oh, the reason I was kinda surprised by the loss is that I know I really worked my muscles this week, increasing the weights, so I expected that they may be holding some water. But it's a nice surprise to lose. Now onward and downward! With those holidays coming up in no time I know there may be some weeks when I don't lose at all. Hopefully, I will just keep up with the exercise to counteract all that food. But I'm not gonna think about that now, just taking it one day, one meal at a time, right? And I will be going to Laughlin, NV with my Mom in November for 4 days so I have that to look forward to also.

Just had a few minutes to check in before breakfast. I'm doing well. I worked out for 100 minutes yesterday, 3 miles of walking on the track at the gym and the rest was the weightlifting exercises I do. I increased some of the weights and did 3 sets of 12 on the leg extension at 20 pounds, personal best for me. I can remember not long ago I could barely do 2 sets at 15 pounds. Feels good! When I went, I was only planning on doing 2 miles of walking but I felt pretty good and did the 3. My heel still hurts after walking a lot, not during though, so I'm keeping at it. Maybe it will just go away on it's own someday. I took the week off from walking last week after Monday's 4 miles, thought maybe it would help but no change. So I might as well keep at it.

I'm doing okay so far this week on the eating. The weekend could have been better, could have been worse. And Friday, I ate a big hamburger at Swenson's, mmmmmm, and ice cream for dessert. Oh, and fries came with the burger. Oh, well. At least I'm not doing that every day.

Okay, today will be shopping and I need to take my DVD recorder back to WalMart. It quit working after 2 months. It's an ILO brand, don't buy them. So I'll just get my money back and try to find one not so cheap. I may do some recumbant bike later too, who knows? I really should make myself do it. Then tomorrow again to the gym. Well, that's better. Going on down now. Haven't been doing as much exercise this past week. I went to the gym Saturday and, on Monday, I did 4 miles of walking on the track at the gym plus all the weightlifting exercises I do. My right heel is still giving me problems, lots of pain after I'm on it awhile, so I didn't go to the gym the rest of this week. On Wednesday I did an hour on my recumbant bike. Yesterday was just 3 games of bowling and shopping for 3 hours trying to find me a purple outfit for the meeting with the Red Hat ladies on Saturday. You need a purple outfit and a red hat. The red hat was easy (WalMart) If I'd had time, I could have sewed something up but I just found out on Monday. Anyways, I plan on having fun at the luncheon Saturday. Today is more bowling and tomorrow morning I plan on doing the bike again. Or maybe some treadmill too. I wish this heel thing would go away. Hmpf!

Okay, that's all the news from Soonie. I'm hanging in there and should be back into the 150's next week. Have a great weekend and stay safe.

You can do it. Great work on the exercise. as for when you foot hurts, do you have hand weights at home? You can work on your upper body while sitting down or your abs by sitting in a hard chair grasping the sides and raising your legs towards your chest.

I kinda knew it wouldn't last. I could ask all the usual questions of "Why, why, why" but I've done that so many times before you'd think I'd know it all by now. And I guess I do. I ate too much and didn't move enough. Right? So I just pick myself up and start again. AGAIN!! I can do this, she mutters, I CAN do this! Hope you're all hanging in there and getting it done. How's your weekend going? I'm doing okay. Yesterday was my sorta splurge day. I did have McD's for lunch (DH went out to Hooter's with his friends so I said I can go out for lunch too, humph) 2 of those apple pies for dessert since they twisted my arm by saying they were 2 for a dollar. Hamburger and small fries with them and a regular Coke (my son had them in my refrigerator so I told myself I must have one) Breakfast was my usual but dinner we had the BBQ with my family and I ate half a hamburger, a small spoon of baked beans and small spoon of Mom's coleslaw. The bad part was the German chocolate cake I'd baked, one large piece after dinner and one more later, after everyone left. And, really, it wasn't THAT good, I liked the frosting the best, should have just had that, heh. So I'm making up for it today. No more carrying it over to Saturday and Sunday as in the past. I went to the gym today, worked for 96 minutes, and I've had 19 points so far, still have dinner to go. Oh, I also got out in the pool for a little messing around so today is all good, so far. I must tell you, I almost went to Krispie Kreme for a donut after working out, it's right accross the street from the gym. But I thought about it and decided I didn't want to cancel out my great workout. So another score for Soonie! Go, Soonie!

Well, the number has changed but not as much as I'd hoped! I can look at it 2 ways---I'm only down 6 tenths of a pound from last week and only 2 tenths of a pound from the week before Oooorr I can say at least I'm in the 150's finally! Whatever! Not really happy today. So all I can think is that I'm just gonna hafta work even harder this next week.

Exercise for yesterday was 3 games of bowling and 30 minutes on my recumbant bike. And really, if I admit it, my eating was only good on the last 4 days so I need to make some changes there this week. I'm doing better than I did way back months ago but still not really good enough. And today will not be a gym day since we're having the family over for a BBQ for dinner and I have to clean house and make a cake and baked beans. So I'm planning on going tomorrow for sure! For sure! Right! And I may be doing some extra eating today, with the BBQ and everything. But that will be it, back to work tomorrow. I promise.

Good, good day today, for me anyway. I didn't sleep my usual last night so I woke up very tired this morning. I thought of just taking a day off from exercise and vegging at home. But first, I had an appointment with the cardiac guy at 9:30 (everything's fine) then, since I did take my stuff for the gym, I headed there. Still feeling tired, but I was willing to give it a go. I did fine with the first mile of walking (17 minutes) and then did all the weight-resistant exercises on the LifeCircuit machines (I had upped the weight amount on all of them Monday and today, I did 3 sets of 12 reps on almost all of them. So much for taking it sorta easy) Then, after doing another 1/2 mile of walking on the track, I must have had a hot flash or something, hard to tell when you're already in a sweat, but I felt exhausted and sorta like my blood sugar was getting too low. So I took a minute to rest and drink some water, and that was enough to get me going again. So I did that after every 1/2 mile, taking me up to 3 miles total. Great workout considering I really didn't feel up to it earlier. Go, me!! And more good news, I have been eating really well so far today. Still have dinner yet to go. Yesterday I did pretty well, riding the recumbant bike for 30 minutes (I was p'd at DH and I started out really fast, heh) Eating was pretty good but I did eat Honey Nut Cheerios and banana for dinner and didn't measure or anything. Then I just had to have an english muffin with sugar-free jelly. Can we say "CARBS"?! Oh, also, as usual every day, I have been drinking plenty of water, no problem. So I guess all that should show a nice loss on Friday. I know, one more day to go yet. Tomorrow is bowling in the morning and maybe lunch out somewhere. I like the Applebee's WW menu but DH has a lot of coupons to use at other places, so who knows? Whatever it is, I will do my best to keep it clean, don't want to mess things up at the last minute.

Well, I guess no one saw my entry yesterday cause it was on so late in the day. If you didn't, go back and read it now, if you want, I'll wait. Okay, not much new since then so you're up to date now. I had a very good day yesterday, both food and exercise-wise. And I'm starving right now. Gotta wait an hour for breakfast because of the Nexium I take. I hope you all had a good holiday weekend, those in the U.S. and just a good weekend for those of you who are not. Anyways, happy Tuesday. See ya later.

In response to the question in your last entry, I think it's probably better to use the weight machines slowly rather than fast. The people using them really fast are probably just trying to show off. I went to the gym once with my little brother and was amused to see him peddle at break-neck speed on an exercise bike for five minutes and then swagger off as if he'd had such a good workout. Whatever!

Just wanted to check in a little here. I know I'm late. Thanks for the comments, BTC and Biscottibody. I'm feeling great right now. Still have those endorphins going from my 90 minute workout at the gym and a little swim in the pool after I got home and had lunch. I hadn't been in the pool for about 2 months, what was I thinking?! And the snorkeling is going well, thanks. I'll be ready for Maui when we go in Jan. Anyways, I walked 3 miles on the track and the rest was muscle working. I have a question for y'all---when lifting weights or working with those machines (they're called Lifecircuit, the ones I use) shouldn't you do the exercises slowly to work your muscles more or do them fast? Does it make any difference? Anyway, I do them as slowly as I can because I think you get more benefit. But I see a lot of people do them as fast as they can!! And I think this also messes up the way the machines (Lifecircuit) are supposed to work because these are computerized. And it bugs me to see someone using them this way. Okay, rant over.

Okay, I guess that's all I had to say today. I did jump on the scale this morning (I will not get on the scale everyday, I will not get on the scale everyday.....)and I'm up 8 tenths of a pound since Friday. But I'm working pretty hard to change that. I really do want to see the 150's this Friday but it won't break me if I don't. I'll just keep plugging along anyway. I have no choice. Right? Right! So I'm going to go read some entries here. It keeps me from getting the munchies in the afternoon (it's 4pm here) Thanks, friends! See ya later.

Is anybody here?? I know, I don't deserve any comments since I don't comment much myself. Anyways....I saw a glimpse of the 150's yesterday but I was 161 this morning (yep, I'm back to weighing almost every day, gotta stop that) But I know that it does usually go up over the weekends. Not that I'm eating way too much but the only exercise I had yesterday was cleaning my room and bathroom (yes, ladies, I don't have to share my bathroom with any men of the house, I'm so spoiled these days) and even though it only took an hour and a half (heh), I did work hard and sweat profusely. So I counted that as my exercise for the day. Lately, I'm mostly glued to the TV (CNN) anyway. And today's exercise was 3 games of bowling with the DH. But I am keeping busy and not over-eating (yay, me) So I should be doing better by Friday's weigh-in since I haven't been eating like I did last weekend. And I'm SURE I will be down into the 150's for sure. I can't wait! I'm loving this weight loss even now and I keep thinking how great it will be when I get to goal. Right now I'm looking at 140 for the goal but if I go lower, it's all good. I really think I have a good handle on it this time!

So, tomorrow will be the gym, gas prices be damned! BTW, here we are up between 2.879 at Sam's to 3.099 at Circle K. Guess I'd better check to see if they are open tomorrow (gym) I forgot tomorrow's a holiday. Happy Labor Day to you all! So summer's over, huh? Where did it go?? I never got into my bikini all summer, hahaha!

Okay, I hope someone's out there and I haven't been deserted here. I'll try to comment more, I swear! I love you guys (sheesh) So I'm going to read y'all now and see what's cooking, haha! Have a great week and stay strong!
