Good Saturday morning! Here we are, the end of another week. Time flies when you're having fun, right? Hope things are going well for everyone. Yesterday, for me, was an off day. I ate pretty much whatever I wanted and even bought some junk. Bad Soonie! And no exercise. So I'm starting anew today.

I picked up Mom at the hospital around 2:00. They said everything was fine. Never did say what caused her problem. I'm not surprised, this has happened at least 4 or 5 times now since we moved here 4 years ago. But this time I didn't go and wait around all day in the ER with her. I know, sounds cruel but I kinda knew that it would turn out to be nothing. You see, Mom drinks and she's hooked on painkillers and we're sure her stomach is inflamed from all that. She just won't admit it. And she was trying the Atkins diet again and this happens every time she does it. She gets dehydrated and once they hydrate her, she feels better. She won't listen to us and just goes ahead and does what she wants. And her doctor is a quack, giving her more and more painkillers. So I'm grateful for your concern, thanks anyway.

So that's it for me. I'm going to the gym today to get what I missed yesterday. I'm back on the wagon and will do better from now on (or until next Friday, maybe, heh) Have a great weekend.

Okay, a little bit of a drop this morning. That's the kind of thing I like to see on weigh day! I guess what I'm doing is working. Just have to keep going now. But I can't go to the gym today so I'm taking a day off from everything. I mean, I won't go crazy with it, just relax a little. Anyway, the reason I can't go is because I have to be here in case my Mom calls. They admitted her into the hospital last night. She was having nausea and her heart was racing and I don't know what all but she called 911 yesterday afternoon and they took her. They're going to do a stress test this morning some time and some more blood work. So I'm going to stick around for the day.

Okay, yesterday was a good day. I had 22 points or about 1100 calories and my exercise was bowling 3 games. We had a good time. So that's about it for now. Hope you all have a good day and.....IT'S FRIDAY, let's celebrate!!

Maybe you could do some light exercises at home while you man the phone. It'll keep you from going insane being stuck in the house all day.

Good morning! Hey, before I forget, does anyone know what's happened to Cynthia? I know she hasn't been here for awhile. And, Biscottibody, I know you're out there, what's up? And CharlieAngel, where are you? I miss you guys!

But here I am, always here. Are y'all tired of me yet? Hehe! Okay, I had a good day again yesterday. I had 28 points, a little high but I had lots of exercise to compensate---2 1/2 miles on the track and 11 muscle-building exercises at the gym. Well, the track is at the gym too, it just sounds like it's not, the way I said it. Anyways..... I really enjoyed going to the gym for a change and I'm looking forward to going again on Friday.

This morning will be bowling again. Last week we joined a group of people who asked us to join them if we wanted. It was fun because they play cards while bowling (you get a card for a spare and 2 for a strike, best poker hand wins at the end of the game) So I guess we will be joining them again this morning. This will be our third day of bowling this week!

Okay, you have a great day! I did get here to read all the entries yesterday, not so many here yesterday. Anyway, stay strong, we can do this. See y'all tomorrow (weigh day for me)

Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip to the gym. It wasn't too hot and humid after all? At one point I really wanted to join a gym over here but they were all too expensive. Now that my husband and I are moving into a bigger apartment, though, we've decided to get an exercise bike and some weights so I'll be able to work out at home. Let's see how often I really end up doing it!

Thanks for the comment you left me earlier. No, it doesn't feel good to be back home, although I think I'm getting used to it now. I actually found myself missing my husband's parents! You're right, my mother-in-law is quite a sweet and well-meaning person. And she did take me and my husband out to Skyline one last time before we left!

Hellooooooo, out there!! Here it is, another hump day!! How are you all doing so far? I'm up (it's almost 8am here) and ready to go to the gym today. So I slept in until 7:30 since I won't be leaving for the gym until around 10 or 10:30, after breakfast. It's not as crowded then. This will be my first day in a long time and I'm kinda looking forward to it. I'll be careful though and not do too much at first. Look out muscles, you're about to be strengthened! I just hope it's not too hot and humid in there. I'm so spoiled with my treadmill work since I do it in nice air conditioning and a fan blowing right on me. But my muscles really need some toning, to say the least.

Yesterday was a good day again---exercise: 3 games of bowling Food: 23 points or about 1150 calories And I always get in lots of water. In fact, I need some right now. One of my meds makes me very thirsty in the morning so it's really easy for me to get plenty of water in.

Okay, I hope things are going as well for all of you. I do get in here to read all the entries but I don't comment often enough and I know how much the comments mean to everyone. Yesterday's exercise---2 miles treadmill and 3 games of bowling food---24 points or about 1200 calories So yesterday was a pretty good day. Okay, now the holidays are over for about 2 months and then we have another one. Let's see what we can do in that 2 months.

Today---bowling this morning (we're bowling fools!) Weather is hot, hot, hot!! About 109 today!

Gotta run. Oh, and today's bowling is FREE!! They have a special thing for seniors on Tuesdays now--55 and older bowl free with free coffee, soft drinks, cookies and popcorn. And some free instruction if you want it. Sounds like fun to me! See ya tomorrow!

Well, I guess I was on here so late yesterday that no one stopped by. So here I am earlier this morning. It's about 6:30am here. Okay, yesterday wasn't too bad. I ate light most of the day and did pretty well at the dinner out. I had grilled chicken (small piece) garlic mashed potatoes (only ate half) and salad/dressing. I didn't touch the bread or the dessert and I drank 3!! glasses of tea. I considered the tea my treat! The food was okay, the service wasn't good but we keep going back, don't know why. I didn't choose the place.

So today---I'm all ready for the treadmill. And maybe later we will go bowling. So lots of exercise. Yesterday I did 2 1/4 miles of walking and did I have to push myself to do that much!! But I am getting a little better on the speed. I quit doing the ab crunches and arm exercises because I decided to start going back to the gym this week. I'm not going today though. The plan is to go on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. But only Wed. and Fri. this week. I had quit going since it's so hot and humid there in the summer. But I'm going to try pushing myself and going anyway. Since I had quit going, I've noticed how flabby I've gotten. Sheesh, I can feel that ole underarm stuff waving in the breeze every time I lift my arms to do something. And my legs need lots of strengthening so I won't fall down in the surf in Maui and not be able to get back up without help. (so embarrassing!!) You should see, I can barely make it up into the back of Sis's and BIL's van without a boost! And, of course, the abs need lots of work! So that's the plan.

Okay, must go get busy on that walk. I hope you're all having a great 4th of July and, if you're not American, have a great Monday. I'll see y'all tomorrow!

Hey, how's it going this morning?! I tried to get on here earlier this morning but our net was down. So here I am! I finished doing 2 1/2 miles on the treadmill already (it's 8:20am here) Whew, wore me out!

Yesterday was an okay day. I didn't keep points and I did eat a candy bar (Mounds) on the way home from Walgreen's. I had to go out to Circle K to get my lottery numbers and some scratch-off tickets for my brother's birthday, then on to Walgreen's for birthday cards for my sis and brother. We're going to celebrate later today with dinner out at Stuart Anderson's Black Angus. So, anyway, I caved and bought a candy bar at Walgreen's and ate it on the way home so no one would know, heh. I don't think it counts when you eat in the car, right? Hahaha! But I did pretty well otherwise. Today will be better and I will be very careful at dinner out.

Oh, I forgot to mention someone missing here yesterday---Maria, where are you? I love seeing the same people here everyday and, when they don't show up, I start to worry. I do read all the entries almost everyday now.

Okay, almost time for brekky! I'm soooo hungry! I'll have my usual---LS instant oatmeal (maple and brown sugar flavor), english muffin with SF jelly and green tea. I know, a lot of carbs but it works for me. I really admire someone who can do the low carb or no sugar thing----like Geevee and others. But I'd miss the carbs. Anyway, you all have a great Sunday and happy 4th of July tomorrow. I'll see ya tomorrow!

Good morning, chickies! How's your Saturday going so far? I'm up and all ready to hit that treadmill this morning. (it's 7:30am here) Yesterday I decreased my time again--I did 2 miles in 37:04! So I broke my last record of 37:49. I think this morning I may go for 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 miles. You know, since it's Saturday and everything, I don't need to hurry. No where to go and nothing planned except maybe some pool time later. So just another lazy day in Soonie-land.

I did want to say that there are a few people missing here---Biscottibody, The Mother, Cynthia and CharlieAngel. Where are you guys?? Hope to hear from you soon.

Okay, time to get started. Oh, yeah, I did a lot of running around yesterday---3 second-hand stores. Got rid of some clothes and earned myself $28 in trade. And almost spent it all already, heh. Had some stuff left over so it will go on to Goodwill. And I had 2 donuts from Krispy Kreme and a hamburger from McD's. That was my lunch, heh. I was gone for 5 hours and burned lots of gas (not mine, the car's) Too bad the prices are not going down but, after all, it is another holiday weekend and people will be traveling, so why not raise the price of gas, I say!!! NOT! Okay, down off my soap box. You all have a great day and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Whew! *breathes a sigh of relief* I'm just glad I'm not up more than one pound. So I'll take it! Not a good week at all. But this week will be better. I'm all ready to get on the treadmill once again. Let's see how much I can do. And I'm going to be busy all day, loading the car with clothes to take to the 3 second-hand stores. And I need to pick up a gift certificate for my baby sis for her birthday. I'm getting her one for a free massage. Also need to stop at Sear's to return some shorts I bought the other day. Size large---to big. But I must add, they have elastic waist, which is fine and comfortable, but the legs are HUGE! So no go there. Wouldn't you know, all the shorts they had on sale had no mediums. So that's my day. I should be gone most of the day.

Okay, I must get busy. Time's a-wasting! You all have a good day today. Oh, yeah, it's FRIDAY!! See ya tomorrow!

In a hurry this morning. Going bowling. I may do other exercise later, I don't know. Yesterday was a good day---21 points and 2 miles on the treadmill. I shortened my time on the 2 miles---this time: 37:49; last time: 38:43 So it's getting better. I went out in the pool about noon. The outside temp was 104, pool temp 86. I didn't do any swimming or exercise, just lazing in the sun. Okay, you all have a great Thursday and I'll see ya tomorrow!
