And some more water weight gone! I'm happy about that! Well, happy Friday, everyone! How are things going for you? I did read some of the entries yesterday but ran out of time. Well, now I have all weekend to get caught up.

Yesterday was a great day! Even though it started with 3 large pancakes at the Village Inn. But they are the best pancakes ever, I say! They are so light that they really don't over-fill you like regular ones do. And I do eat them with sf syrup. I know that doesn't help much but every little bit helps, right? I just don't know how some people can just give up all the things they love to eat but I sure do admire them for it! So then we went bowling. This is about 11am by then. Late breakfast. We bowled for 2 hours and had a great time. Even bil, with his brain tumor, did pretty well, for not having bowled in about 6 months. He's still on chemo right now but fortunately, it's not getting him down. He's even back at work part time 3 days a week. He works at a prison, btw. But they don't have him doing his old job as guard. He still has some problems with speech and eyesight sometimes and he's lost all his hair but he still keeps going.

So anyway, back to me, heh. On the way home, DH asked if I wanted to stop and get a sub at Subway but I still wasn't feeling hungry (imagine that!) so I said no. We got home and I decided to go to the grocery for some things. I spent about an hour there and still didn't feel hungry. About now, it's 3pm. So I sat at the puter some and just kept busy while watching TV. I watched Oprah, btw, and do you believe some of these women who stay with their cheating husbands?! I know I couldn't do it, especially the one who had read the other woman's explicit diary about it all! Sheesh!! So anyway, back to me. I didn't eat dinner until about 5:30, no lunch and no snacking! And I ate a salad with some chicken on it and some sf jello with sliced banana and ff coolwhip. And that's it!! Nothing after 6pm!! Yay, me! Wish I could do that every day. So I didn't have any real exercise but the eating went really well. Even with the pancakes, haha!

And here I am, all ready to go to the gym after breakfast. I'm even looking forward to it! I'm still a little sore from Wednesday and bowling yesterday but I think I'll make it, heh. The weather here is great, 85 today and sunny! Nice weather to open the doors and windows and let some fresh air in. So here's to today, let's make it a good one! So goes the water weight! One pound at a time! I did get to the gym yesterday and did 80 minutes of work, including 2 miles of walking, even tried half a mile of it on a treadmill, the rest on the track. I felt like trying something different so the first thing I did was warm up for 10 minutes on a treadmill. I kept eying the ellypticals but chickened out in the end. I swear I'm going to try one of those someday. Anyway I felt really good afterward and not too sore this morning. And the eating was good too but not easy. I kept wanting to eat after 7pm but wouldn't let myself and went to bed shortly after 9, heh. Those food commercials get me every time.

So the plan today is----we're going to breakfast with sis and bil (in case you didn't know, their days off are Tuesday and Thursday right now and DH and I are retired) Then we're going bowling. I'm going to eat the pancakes because they are the best in the world and I won't deprive myself when I get the chance to eat them. I've found when I do, I end up eating a lot of stuff I didn't really want during the day. So at least I will work some of it off bowling. And I foresee maybe some more exercise later. We'll see.

Okay, have a great Thursday everyone! I read all your entries yesterday but didn't comment on many. I'm just lazy that way. Just know that I do care and I did visit. I don't know what I'd do without you all. Take care. See ya tomorrow.

New day, new me! I feel better today and I'm all dressed to go to the gym after breakfast. I'd still rather pig out and lay around the house but that's not going to happen. And I know that doesn't make me feel better anyway. The temp is going to 80 today and it's nice and sunny. I hope things are going well for you all. Have a great day!

As I tell my kids (who are 28 and 23) as well as myself, "proper attitude is half the battle". You sound in good spirits today so get out there and conquer the world. You have glorious weather so that should put you in a good mood (at least it would me). Beautiful day to get out and moving. I'm sure you'll get back in the swing of things and we're always here to help you along.

Hey, I totally get the same problems as you, I will eat so much the night before and then tell myself okay tomorrow I will get up go to teh gym and eat healthy! Some days it is so hard but usually the days that i do stick to my word I end up feeling way better about my body, knowing that I am in control of it. Its hard I think the most when you dont see results because it makes it difficult to stay motivated. If you go I'll go!!!!! We can challenge eachother as well as others on DD,

Not doing well, as you can see. And today was a day out mostly. Went to the canyon, took the shuttle to see the sights, only took about an hour and then we headed to The Hidden Valley Inn for lunch. It was mom, me, DH and sis and bil. Worst lunch ever, the light was so dim you couldn't even see what you were eating. Didn't even see that they had made a mistake and put bleu cheese dressing (yuck!) on my salad until I tasted it when it should have been thousand island so they made the exchange. Anywho, it wasn't worth what we paid for it. And it's supposed to be a real swanky place to eat. Never again! There were other things bad there too but won't go into all that. So I was still hungry when I got home---which led to eating way too much. I fall asleep every night swearing I'm going to really cut back the next day but it just doesn't happen. Sheesh! I'm really getting up there again! Must do something immediately! And must go to gym tomorrow and start the workouts again. MUST!!

Anyway, that's my day, boring, boring. Personal problems and depression too but, again, won't go into all that. And really, there are no good excuses. I'm glad I have my friends here at the DD. Wish I had some around here. The weather is great and no excuse for not getting out for some walks. Maybe things will look better tomorrow. I keep saying that. Oh, well, sorry for the downer..... Okay, so things haven't gone as I'd planned. No weighing in this morning and no gym today. I couldn't get to sleep until about 3am so I'm just going to stick around the house and not do too much. And the eating will be very good today, I promise. There are lots of things to keep me busy--laundry, cleaning, things like that. I guess I'm just going to ease myself back into this weightloss thing. Tomorrow we are going to Sabino Canyon for a tour and then to lunch at the Hidden Valley Inn. So I may not get on here to update. Life gets in the way sometimes. But Wednesday WILL be the going back to the gym day, I swear! Have a good one, everyone!

Hey, how long have I been missing this site and it's been here all along? I was using my bookmark for it and this time I typed in the url. I've been unable to get on it all week!! Did ya miss me? haha

So our trip to Maui was all it should have been. It was so nice to spend all that time with my DH without anyone else with us, ya know? I miss it already. And we're going back next year, whoopie! We had rented a mini-van there and put 600 miles on it! We saw just about everything.

Okay, so how's things going with you all? I'm eating too much bad things and finding it hard to get back in the groove. But the weight is being maintained somewhat. I didn't weigh this morning so didn't change the numbers here. Tomorrow I will--weigh in and get back on the wagon. Gym day tomorrow too. No more playing around. Less than 3 months until summer is here!!

I'll see ya tomorrow and I'm going to get caught up with all your entries now. Have a good week.

Of course we missed you! :) Glad you're back and that you had a great trip to Maui! I've been to Oahu, but not Maui. My sister went there on her honeymoon and said it was absolutely beautiful!

I did the same thing with the bookmark. What a shame to miss all that time. Glad to hear your trip to Maui was nice. We lived on Oahu for 3 years and we are getting ready to move back this summer. I love Hawaii.

Whoops, all that decadent eating is catching up with me! And, you'll be glad to know, biscottibody, that eating at night will not make you gain weight or keep you from losing weight unless you go over your calorie allowance for the day. I heard that on Good Morning America just as I turned the TV on this morning. And they will have more beauty tips on 20/20 tonight. So just wanted you all to know.

Well, today is packing day! We leave at 9am tomorrow! It's going to be a long trip but worth it. Look out Maui, here comes Soonie. And I'm already nice and tan from a bottle, haha. I will also be going this afternoon for a pedicure and a brow wax. Then I will be perfect, haha, except for the fat! Hard to believe someone could know for a whole year that they were going to Maui and still didn't lose the weight!! I'm so ashamed of that but I'll get right back into it after we get home a week from Sunday. Only 3 more months till summer! Anyway I'm not going to think of my fat body, I'm going to just pretend I'm skinny, haha!

Okay, I may update while I'm there, I don't know for sure if there is internet available at the resort. I'll tell you all about it when I get back. You all stay strong and be good. Bye for now!

Love your sense of humor. Try to do the best you can food-wise while on vacation in paradise. Have a WONDERFUL time and if you're able to post, please do so. If not, be sure to come back here when you return.

It's been awhile! How's you all doing? I've read some of the entries, not all, I'm pressed for time lately. I don't know what I'd do without the DD. I know I've said this before but this really helps me, even though I'm not doing so well lately. Imagine how it would be for me if I DIDN'T have the DD. Things would be a lot worse, heh. I mean, I talk to you people in my head all the time, haha. I think it would be a great thing if we all could meet up some day, wouldn't it?

Okay, I have lots of work today. 2 more days until Maui. I may be able to update there, I'm not sure, I'll try if it's available. I hope to get here before then to update but don't count on it. It's a gloomy day here, may rain, may not. But at least it's not cold. Weather in Maui right now is highs about 80, lows in the low 60's. See ya later and have a great day!

Oops, I just typed an entry and then tried to go see my comments again so I could answer them and lost the whole @#$%^ thing!! So here goes again. Happy Sunday afternoon, everyone! Looks like I'd better be more careful or I will be gaining too much again instead of just maintaining right now. I like what breakaway said in my comments: Are you going to be dieting in Maui or having fun? Haha! Well, since DH will be tagging along, I will have to eat right. He watches me like a hawk. But he's dieting too so that helps. And thanks for the vote of confidence, grace30923. I'd sure like to look hot someday but time is running out, I'm afraid. And I'm going to be 56 this year; I had written the bio years ago. But my sister says I do look younger than my age. That counts, doesn't it?

Okay, I'm not planning on any formal exercise this week. I'll be so busy getting ready to go next Saturday. I have lots of things to take care of. I'm the one who makes all the plans and arrangements for us. DH just follows along, haha! I still need to do some shopping this week too. DH needs some decent slacks and socks. He'd wear the same ole ones he's had for years if I didn't intervine. I'm really starting to get excited about the trip now. I bought a travel book on Maui the other day from B&N so we should find lots of things to do. Our resort is right accross the street from a great beach too. I'm so glad we joined this time share-like thingy. We've gone lots of places we wouldn't have ordinarily gone to because of it. I'm already planning the next trip. Woohoo!! Old age isn't so bad really, haha!

Okay, I'm doing better with the eating today than I did yesterday so that's a good thing. And I'm keeping busy with laundry and such. Oh, yeah, movie review: The Grudge. It was pretty good and scary but not as good as we'd thought it would be. My sis just raved about it. Next movie we get may be Cellular. My #2 son said it kept him on the edge of his seat the whole movie.

So how's everybody doing this fine Sunday? Good, I hope. It's nice and sunny finally here, up to 65 today. We had rain from Wednesday afternoon until yesterday morning. The rivers are no longer dry beds, heh. Guess I'll see ya tomorrow but don't count on it. I've got lots of shopping in mind for tomorrow. Have a great week.

Cellular is a GREAT movie! And some parts are a little funny too so that always makes a movie more interesting. SO, looks like you may be forced to be good over there ;) It's good that hubby is doing this also. It will make your trip easier with the dieting although being in maui there must be some things that you will just NEED to try. Can't wait to see how you like Maui. You have a great day today.

Ahhh! I wish I was going to Maui! Well, I hope you lose the weight and keep up the points. I read your bio and you said you want to look great even though you are 52. My mom is 66 and she looks great. She's never had plastic surgery and no one would ever guess she is 66, so you have 14 years on her and I know you can look hot too! She eats very healthy and has a great body, although she has always been a few pounds over the desired weight(she's 5'3" and 146 lbs) but you can do it if she can! Just think about being healthy, treat your body right and it will do the rest!
