Goodafternoon all! I just got out of the Dr's office that is conveniently located next door to Starbucks so I am having my daily fix of liquid crack as I report my news...I lost 3.8 lbs!!! Not the number I wanted but I will gladly take it. I am so happy to be approaching the 170's. With vacation quickly approaching (Aug 15-30th) I really want to take off as much weight as possible. With so many temptations in Chicago that I just can't pass up, good pizza, beer and my birthday celebrations (August 17th) I know that i have to strategicaly map out a plan that won't completely sabatoge what i have accompished so far...It would be unrealistic to say that i won't have a few drinks on my birthday or eat a few 'forbidden' foods so I am going to work extra hard for the next few weeks. My saving grace is when I finally make it to my parents house. They are really healthy eaters! My mom's normal eating habits are low-carb so thank God for that!  Well i hope everyone has a great day and evening Love to all of you :)

Once I tried Starbucks but I didn't like it. It was basically water with some milk, BLAGH... but then again, maybe it's different there in the US... I heard that hamburgers are huge in the US, in Europe they are much smaller... :)

Starbucks, oh how I love thee! They are everywhere around here, even in grocery stores and Target. So, if I am craving SB, I will conveniently plan our shopping outings at stores that have a Starbucks inside. hehehehehe

Good day to all of you lovely ladies out there.I am off today so life is good. I got up early so I can get all of my chores out the way so I can enjoy the rest of my day. I am gonna try not to stress about my weigh in 2morrow but I do it every Monday. Why do I get myself all worked up,I haven't cheated but I still stress myself out. I am sure weigh in will be just fine tomorrow... look at all the hard work and progress you've accomplished so far!! And yes the New Jersey housewives are the most entertaining... I will have to say the the OC and NY ones aren't far behind haha... I'm interested about the new one... the D.C. housewives....hhhmmm lol..I'm so glad that there is someone else out there that watches the show....my bf constantly makes fun of me, but I tell him his favorite show (True Blood) is no better!!

Good luck tomorrow and remember never let the scale get you down. Its about a life change not just what the scale says. If you feel happier exercising and eating healthy then you should focus on that whatever the outcome.

As for Real Housewives... SO GOOD!!! They even got me to send in my vote (for the show afterwards) about whether she should have filed charges or not.... I'm ADDICTED

Good afternoon all!!!! I survived another long weekend. I made the all too common mistake of having coffee when I got home 2am this morning and needless to say I was so amped didn't actually nod off til 9ish this morning. Now I am faced with should I get up and do something productive or take another nap. So far the nap is sounding better than anything else. It was pretty hot out there yesterday (my bar is outdoors) and that sun drained the rest of my energy.As meals it is always the same 12 ozs lean protein and 3-4 servings of veggies, BORING lol. I hope that everyone had a fun-filled stress free weekend I shall talk to you in the morning unless something super excitng happens today.

We should keep a photo log of ourselves! :) I mean, it doesn't have to be public... I keep a folder on my PC saying "K" and I put there all my lost lbs in photos, nothing else... they say it all!

Goodevening all! It seems as though everyone is struggling today. I would like to take this opportunity to send some love your way! Just42day I especially want to send some extra loving to you. I live alone also and I know how hard it is to resist temptation when there is no one alse around which is why I had to rid the Taboo foods. i know that it is tough but girl you can do it! Just in case you didn't know you have lots of support here and I have your back. On a funny note I got a message from the heavens today that it is time to buy smaller work shorts.With belt on and all my shorts were headed south of the equator when my co-worker says "nice ass"LOL Thank God I wore a t shirt and not a tank otherwise he would have seen alot more (well he already has I will save that story for another day ;) ) But I am glad the bar wasn't open yet....Have a good evening ladies! lots of love

So at work today I had to fight my overwhelming urge to snatch the slice of pizza out of my co-workers hand, boy did it smell delish! It is amazing what she eats and still remains a size 2. Oh to be 22 again and fat melts away,lol. I was the same way too and now in my 30's if I look at food too long I gain a pound...lol. Today I got my first negative reaction with my weight loss...I am finally able to go out to my favorite Bistro and resist the temptation of having wine and their amazing foods. I usually sit at the bar and chat with one of my really good friends(who is the bartender) and have coffee and unwind after work. So Chrissy and I were chatting and the owner is sitting at one of the tables with patrons and she yells across the restaurant "are you still on that diet,you still not drinking" Silence rang throughout the place and all eyes were on me. So I responded yes and she had more to add "well you know most people gain their weight back you know." You know you have to workout too." Needless to say I got really pissed but I did think before I spoke and told her well that is not gonna be me and furthermore if I wasn't working out there is no way I would have lost as much as I did but thank you for your concern. The more I sat there the angrier I got so I ended up leaving. So now I have to eat chicken breast again today,I was gonna eat there but  f**k  her, I won't  spend another dime in her establishment. Man sometimes us women can be catty b****es....lol... Did I overreact? I am sure that I will go back there but right now even telling this story again is kinda pissing me off all over again. Whew I had to get that one off my chest...LOL. BTW after all of that her husband comes in and kept telling me how great that I look and pawing all over me,isn't that ironic Have a good evening all !

I'm sorry you had a negative experience. People can be so insensitive and thoughtless. You've lost a lot of weight and should be commended for that! Try not to let that negativity waste the rest of your day. (I should talk; I had a similar experience @ a week ago and I wasted a day festering about it.) So non-productive. Hope you do better than I did with it.) You know how much you've lost; pat yourself on the back and continue. You can do it! Have a good rest of the evening.

most people gain their weight back... pffff.... because they do crazy diets... we have to change our lives, healthy lifestyle, no pizza's and stuff :) BTW I work with men and I really appreciate it...

thanks for your suggestions today. While my snacking has been w/healthy foods, I just shouldn't be doing it. am struggling w/portion control. Am considering eliminating anything white (bread, rice, etc) but I just plain like that stuff too much. If I'd only control portion size with those, I'm sure I'd see and feel a difference. Thanks for your support. :)

NO bread at all? WOW! That's like cutting off an arm! I'm on the Sugar Busters' Diet which means that I only eat whole grains; nothing white (bread, potatoes, rice flour etc.)

I'm glad you walked out of the bar. That was great that you were able to have coffee there. I never would have been able to resist "a cold one"!

that wasnt very nice of her...stay strong in what you need to do and make sure you are taking care of yourself first:) you are amazing for not drinking any wine or eating pizza. isnt it amazing what happens with age? i feel like from 25 to 29 i have had a major shift in metabolism and im just not sure what to do...blech.

Thanks for sharing your tips with me. I took Colace today and that stuff is harsh, so I will gladly try the tea or add fiber if I continue to have problems. As for the wings, I made a huge batch (about 2.5 pounds). I mixed 1 cup of hot sauce with 1/2 cup of melted butter. Pour over the wings in a ziplock bag and let sit in fridge a few hours. Then I roasted in the oven on 375 for about 45 minutes, turning it up to broil for another 10-15 minutes to get them a bit crispy. Add more cayenne if you like them hot hot!

Well good news/bad news...Only lost 2 lbs but the nurse did say that since it was that time of the month my weight loss can be affected anywhere between 2-5 lbs depending so my numbers should be good next week. So although it was not the loss I was expecting i am still thankful  for the 2.....It takes a lot longer to lose the weight than it took to gain it! Good news is I was called "skinny" today  by a friend who hasn't seen me since starting my diet....Even more good news I have a defined waistline and now I am striving to get rid of a few inches off the hips(we are never happy are we,lol). Well that is all for now enjoy the rest of your day all!

I've had those noodles. I've also had tofu shirataki noodles, pretty low cal at like 20 cal per cup or something. and then, there's also kelp noodles, if you research them. VERY low cal. A huge package is like 18 calories, one cup like not even 6 calories.

but, i could never get them to taste good....you really have to season/cook them with other ingredients or they're plain nasty!

Good morning all Gonna keep this short and sweet because I am going to my doctor and I am always a little nervous about getting on the scale.I don't know why i get all worked up because i never deviate from my ho hum diet of 12 ozs of protein and 3-4 servings of veggies or fruit a day but I always hope for big numbers.Hopefully i will have great news to report...To be continued.....

Good evening all! I hope that everyone had a good day, I sure did!  A fellow co-worker who is doing a similar Lo Carb Diet made some homemade Mac and Cheese using  Miracle Noodles and all fat free and lo fat cheeses....These noodles are free of carbs and fat and let me tell you it was amazing!  I am gonna research this "guilt free" noodle because I am thinking this is way too good to be true! Well time to workout!  Enjoy the rest of your evening girls
