RYC yesterday I agree...there are many causes to the scale moving. I know I just need to remind myself that it's no big deal and it happens... that's why I didn't really get too upset about it, just more confused than anything. Josh also told me to not let the scale be my guide, he said his weight can fluctuate 5-10 pounds in a week and he's in crazy good shape so I was like alright... I need need need to try and let this go haha.

Wanted to add that I took a 12-hour extended release black cherry capsule this a.m. No glucosamine. My joints feel better than they have in weeks! FYI.

Good Morning had a really long first day back at work..The bar was in utter chaos not to mention how unclean it was..Anyhoo stopped off with my friend for a couple drinks..Up and at it for Back and 6 Pack class.. Off to work I will catch up with you all later.. Have a stellar day

Another intensely hot day here and thankfully the rain held out during my shift.. I totally planned on getting a stretch class in but took a cat nap instead.. It is raining like crazy here right now and I hope this will cool off the temps a bit...

Good Evening

B- Almond Breeze shake with whey protein, 1/2 banana, natural pb and strawberries

L- Fiesta Ground Turkey(whole grain brown rice with sazon seasoning, ground turkey meat with taco seasonings and southwestern style corn) tortilla chips

D- Sirloin Steak..Spring Mix with cucumbers, cheese, red wine vin and fresh lemon...2 glasses of Red wine

1 1/2 gallons of water...Lf Cottage cheese and fresh bleuberries(pre bedtime)

Thanks for the shrimp suggestions, keep em coming. I'm thinking I might make quesadillas or tacos the first time (I LOVE shrimp tacos) so I can do chicken or beef for my other boys. Have a good one!

I'm really glad that Girl Rising had such a positive affect on you. It really is such a powerful and much needed reminder about what real problems are in the world... I'm so glad I took the time to watch it, and be reminded of how fortunate I am. I haven't had the chance... but yesterday I saw on CNN's website a section on Girl Rising... I'm not sure if it has other stories or not??? I'll try and look into it today and see. I think that would be a good idea to continue the message of the documentary.

Little J informed me last night that he likes shrimp (he was eating leftover hibachi and it comes with exactly 1 shrimp haha). He's had it at the Japanese restaurant before and liked it and he was asking for more last night. So I told him it if I buy it we will be the only 2 eating it and he said he's OK with that. So it looks like I get to experiment with shrimp dishes now, yay! Suggestions are welcome :)

So I finally watched Girl Rising!!!! It really was such a great emotional inspirational film... the suffering that so many of those women go through and still find the strength to pull through and push forward...I have no words.

Good Morning nice weekend so for for me..I was wide awake at the usual time so I completed my Upper Elite class.. The usual chores await so I might as well get them done early.. Hope you all have a happy healthy start to your week

So my day didn't go off as planned but all is well.. Before I went to do laundry I decided to go up to my mechanic to get a new tire for my front driver's side.. Although the treads on the passenger side were really good, there was a baseball size bubble in it(cause by extreme heat) so needless to say I had  to replace 2 tires.Pretty expensive morning.. Not even going to trip about this, I am so thankful the tire didn't blow out while I was driving..I am slightly bummed that the money for the other tire was supposed to be for Shaun T's new program...Oh well que sera..

They didn't have the tires in stock so I had to wait til they got their delivery..Needless to say that took up a huge chunk of my afternoon but I had the opportunity to read the entire July edition of Muscle and Fitness magazine which was chocked full of killer workouts,recipies not to mention Henry Cavilli (new superman) dawns the  cover..

Anyhoo got the rest of my chores done, got in an Ab Shredder class and now I am famished so I must refuel..Lunch was on the go it was healthy just not enough protein to sustain..

hey V! thanks for the kind words. it is simply amazing what extra sleep can do. my nap on Sunday afternoon seriously recharged me. I've never felt as rested and awake at work as I did today. :-) keep up the excellent exercise regimen ;-)

Good Morning Surprisingly I had a pretty decent shift yesterday despite the ominous sky that threatened rain the first half of the afternoon..The cloud coverage helped slightly cool temps during the busiest part of the day thankfully..

Abused the snooze button this morning but had plenty of time since Stretch class is only 30 minutes.. Off to prep for work so I will catch up with you all later...Happy Friday

I'm glad your shift went well... I always thought it was amazing how many factors affected my tips as a waitress. I'm glad the day went well. Enjoy your weekend and the next time I post I PROMISE I will have watched Girl Rising... I checked my DVR out this morning... I have at least a whole days worth of stuff to watch. I'm contemplating just taking a day off and being a bum on the couch (minus my workouts) and watch tv all day!

RYC last night... I have yet to watch Girl Rising, which I'm kinda sad about. It's still sitting on my DVR with about 10 other shows to watch! In the next day or so I'll actually be home at a normal hour so I don't have to go home and go straight to bed. I am very excited to watch it though.

Good Morning Had a decent shift yesterday however it was brutally hot! I came home and added a Pure Contact class..One of my friends called and invited me to have a drink with her so I obliged.. I stayed for just a drink, I was down right hungry..LOL   Anyhoo up and at it this morning for Back and 6 Pack class..

Well I better keep it moving and prep for work, catch up with you all later..Have a wonderful day all

 

It was a slow HOT day at the beach.. Added a HIIT 20 class after work..

Aaahhh snooze buttons, one of the greatest inventions! I did read a study though that says if you get up right away with your first alarm you'll feel more rested then if you snooze... I personally however am a snoozer, and choose to ignore the study haha. Have a good day!

Good Morning Good weekend so far, took the opportunity to get most of my chores out the way yesterday, that is except the laundry, LOL.. Last night I caught the CNN documentary that Skinnygirl mentioned "Girl Rising"..It was compelling, def a tearjerker and probably not the best thing to watch right before bedtime..Although it took a while before I was able to shut off all my thoughts and sleep, I went to bed very thankful...

Completed Upper Elite class earlier and  I should  get the laundry done so I will catch up with you all later..Hope you all have a happy healthy start to your week

Back from my day and I have to say it was nice not having to stress over time to do all my needful things since they were already done..While my meals for the week were in the oven I caught a few zzzz's woke up feeling like a mill and a half, crushed out Ab Shredder..It left me wanting more so I did a 15 minute Turbo Fire HIIT class..

Good Evening!!

L- 2 scrambled eggs with ground turkey meat and cheese on 1 whole wheat low carb tortilla

S- Protein( an oz of chicken breast and  oz of leanpork)

Us and laundry... sometimes I debate whether I should just drop it off and have someone do it for me... that's how much I hate it!!!!

I'm so glad you liked the documentary... I recorded it so I'll be watching it tonight... we have several different shows that we watch on Sunday night (that seems to be the only night that really has any shows I want to watch) so I had to record it later in the evening. I am however really looking forward to watching it tonight. I feel like it is always good to be reminded of how lucky we really are, and how insignificant some of our problems can be.
