(Weight Watchers - Working Out At Curves)
Weight: 184.1

I managed to gain 2.4lbs and I am NOT amused. I thought for sure that by the time I went to visit my daughter and by the time I left to see my guy that I would be a little less than in the 180's. I know I have a couple more weeks to go but still. I am so bummed out right now about this. I've been eating correctly and exercising so who knows what's up NOW. Maybe just a fluke.

Sunday I will be in Florida with my daughter and grandson and my second oldest son also! WOO HOO!

Only 15 more days and I will be with my sweetheart!

So much going on.

However, in GOOD news...measurements today show I've lost another 5 and 1/2 inches overall with the arms, waist and hips being the biggest losers. :) So that is good.

Take care everyone!

Progress as of today: 60.5 lbs lost so far, only 44.1 lbs to go!

sweetpea1977 on 04/05/2012:
I wouldn't stress so much about the gain. Based on the inches lost, you might have actually gained some muscle while losing some fat. The scale doesnt indicate body composition, but inches lost and overall body fat percent do . Thats why scale readings and BMI shouldnt be so heavily relied as indicators of good health.

Im proof of this because I am at the exact same weight that I was on my wedding day and my wedding dress is really loose on me now. Better yet, I am fitting into my pre-Ethan maintenance clothes (148-150lbs) at a much heavier weight.

Long story short, dont focus so much on the scale but more on how things are fitting and how you are feeling. If you're pushing yourself hard during your workouts and eating in moderation then you're doing every thing right. :)

Enjoy your time in Florida!

grannyannie on 04/05/2012:
Thanks! Really tired of coughing and sniffing! Arghh...

Don't lose heart - you can lose it or most of it and measurements can count more than the scale. Enjoy your Easter with family!

15 more days, eh? Yes!

hollybelle on 04/05/2012:
Hi WII! I agree with the others - don't ppay too much attention to the # on the scales.

V on 04/05/2012:
I am sure that you are super excited to see your sweetheart <3 :) Keep doing your thing WII, there is no stopping YOU

moogy on 04/05/2012:
Bad news and good news, better than only bad news. Have a wonderful weekend with your family:) How exciting to see your children and grandchild:) I see hugs in your future:)

Umpqua on 04/06/2012:
I agree with Sweetpea that you may be changing your body composition. You are kicking butt overall and that's what matters! I hope you have a very Happy Easter with your growing family :D

biscottibody59 on 04/06/2012:
It's often a mixed bag with the losses in body stuff--keep on keepin' on!

And happy and safe travels to you--enjoy your time away!

liza36 on 04/18/2012:
Nice job on the inches lost. The scale isn't everything, although I can completely understand your frustration there. Enjoy your family and upcoming trips.

liza36 on 06/07/2012:
Just checking in to say hi. Hope you are doing well. Miss you!!

(Weight Watchers - Working Out At Curves)
Weight: 181.7

Lots has happened! FIRST - My grandson has been born! On 3/22/12. All 8lbs 6oz of him and my 4'11" daughter had him naturally! I couldn't be there of course, but my son was in the room and I was on the phone so I heard everything including his first cry! It was a beautiful and emotional experience and even my 'tough guy' son, cried. It was awesome! Mom, baby and dad are doing fine! And I am going to go visit them April 8 - 16th. I am looking forward to it!

I went to see my endocrinologist and got my meds adjusted and asked a lot of questions. Also found out that I am insulin resistant. So, I gave my diet a HUGE makeover and increased my exercise a little and now the weight loss is happening again and the cravings are calming down. And I have lost over 60lbs now! YAY!

We are so extremely busy at work that it isn't even funny so I don't have time to post to ya'll but I'm working on it. By the time I get home I am flat out exhausted and crawl into bed.

I hope to catch up with everyone very soon. Hope you are all doing well and I will have to just give my support to everyone from here, sorry.

Take care!

Progress as of today: 62.9 lbs lost so far, only 41.7 lbs to go!

Congratulations, WII! Boy that is exciting! 8 lbs 6 oz, my goodness! I am so happy you found out about insulin resistance and tweaked your diet and weight loss is happening again. All the more reason to keep doing the healthy things you are doing! I found out I am low on thyroid and have started taking a little it of a thyroid supplement - natural source. That and testosterone, estrogen and progesterone plus a bunch of supplements and I am feeling much better. It's good to finally be able to say that. I think all the stress of the last several years had really depleted my adrenals. Hope your work has settled down. My job has peak times, but lately it all seems peak, too. Just glad to have a job, etc. these days!

Weight: 185.2

Have been away dealing with issues related to thyroid medicine. Had gained a little and in the end lost more than I gained so it was a blessing. My daughter is doing better now that baby has dropped into birthing position and she can breathe lol. Won't be long now! I have been extremely busy at work and the boss is nitpicking about our internet use never mind the fact that he is constantly on his facebook page LOL. It is hard for me to use my phone because the small screen hurts my eyes. But I have read all of your updates and everyone seems to be moving right along! Congrats!! Well I need to scoot. Thank God for a wonderful day and for my health and weight loss! I sure cannot do it on my own!

Progress as of today: 59.4 lbs lost so far, only 45.2 lbs to go!

sweetpea1977 on 03/07/2012:
Its good to see an update from you. Congrats on your continued weightloss!

Are you ready to be a grandma? I hear thats the best job in the entire world! :-)

Umpqua on 03/07/2012:
I can't believe how far along your daughter is, it's almost time! I hope all is well with your thyroid meds now and congrats on your continued loss!!

Maria7 on 03/07/2012:
Congrats on how well you are doing. Hope you have a good day today. :-)

hollybelle on 03/07/2012:
Was wondering where you were! Figured you were busy! Good news above. Hope all thyroid problems disappear! I had all my hormone and vitamin levels (including thyroid) checked this week - I will have a report back next Thursday. I am anxious to find out what is going on as I have been so fatigued lately-last 6 months at least. I am doing this at one of those clinics that replaces whatever you are deficient in with natural stuff as my doctor has not been helpful at all when I discussed this. I hope I can AFFORD it. One of my big customers has been using this clinic's services for 7 months - he's lost 40 lbs and said his energy has gone through the roof. He even did a TV commercial for them! Thinking about your daughter as she gets closer to birthday!!!

supercheese on 03/07/2012:
Almost time to have a grand baby! Pre-congrats! lol Have a great day!!

liza36 on 03/07/2012:
Glad to know you are doing alright and that the thyroid medicine has been resolved. Sounds like you keep on plugging along - well done!

Weight: 187.4

Down 1.8 this week, THANK YOU LORD! *Whew* and feeling better after that run in with the sinus infection. I heard a report that said most of us get better on our own with a sinus infection and that antibiotics aren't really necessary..and I just laughed. I'm sure if I wanted to feel like crap for 2 weeks that would be an option. I don't care what they say lol.

My daughter is having issues with numbness in her legs and hands and yesterday she had to go on the fetal heart monitor because Mason's heart rate was 180 (should be 140) but his rate did come down so they let her go home. Today she called because her belly is really hard and she was having trouble walking and her hands were tingly numb. She called off work and she went back to bed. I told her to call her doctor, she said she would when she woke up. She and her boyfriend are moving into their own place on Friday. She is very excited and I'm excited for her! I did tell her to drink LOTS OF WATER and if her belly doesn't release, to for sure tell the doctor.

I've been going to curves and working out every day I can and I do the squat/kick butt move and alternate with the standing crunches on the recovery mats. Every time I go on of the ladies will say "You are really working it out!" and I tell them I only have a little time left before I go see my sweetie! Then I get to tell our story and everyone loves it. It really is a very beautiful love story. Some day I will take time to actually type it all out. It is faster to tell it than type it lol.

I only have 2.8lbs till I've lost 60lbs and only 7.4lbs till I'm out of these 180's! I would LOVE to be in the 160's by the time I leave to see my beloved.

Speaking of him, he is signing the paperwork for OUR house soon! We believe it will be either Thursday or Friday this week. Hopefully. He said I can do whatever I like decorating wise with the house, except for in his man cave. I'm so excited! Mostly excited to see him.

Well, I gotta get back to work. We are slammed and really busy! Have a great week! Check in with everyone next Wednesday!

Progress as of today: 57.2 lbs lost so far, only 47.4 lbs to go!

(Weight Watchers - Working Out At Curves)
Weight: 189.2

I am up by .7 today :( but that might be due to doing more strength training this week and being sick. It seems I have a severe sinus infection which was causing my headaches and is also why there is a red spot under my arm. My lymph glands in my neck are also swollen. I feel like complete crap today. Even worse than yesterday. Ears hurt, eyes hurt, everything hurts LOL and then I weigh myself this morning and see a gain. I'm also rather sleepy and am thinking of just going home after work and crashing. Doing nothing, just sleep. Not getting involved in any movies, crafts, projects, cleaning, etc. Just sleep. I know my 'gain' isn't food related because I stayed on plan, so it has to be fluid related. At any rate. I'm going to go home in about an hour and a half and just pass out! Have a lovely day!

Progress as of today: 55.4 lbs lost so far, only 49.2 lbs to go!

h82bfat on 02/08/2012:
OMGosh!! You sound miserable! Get some sleep & feel better SOON! (((HUGS)))

sweetpea1977 on 02/08/2012:
I felt like that a few weeks ago and had swollen lymph nodes as well. Very painful! I even had an unexplained lump on the back of my neck near where the bottom of my skull meets the neck. I did research and I thought it was another swollen lymph node. The general practice doc I saw said it wasnt. She thought it was a subcutaneous skin infection. It never leaked out any pus, so Im thinking I was right and she was wrong!

Anyway, did you get diagnosed with an ear infection? If it wasnt an ear infection, it may be blocked Eustachian tubes. It hurts very similar to an ear infection, but is much easier to treat. My doc prescribed me Flonase and told me to use it whenever I felt stuffy in the head. I get stuffy whenever there is a major shift in weather and spring time. It has helped me greatly. It even cured my constant dry-hacking cough!

OK, Im rambling now. I hope you feel better!

V on 02/08/2012:
Oh No!! :( I hope you feel better soon!

hollybelle on 02/08/2012:
Everybody here is ill and I don't feel very well. I am beginning to think this is the time of year that everyone gets sick. Hope you feel better soon - don't sweat the .7 - it means nothing and will be gone soon.

Maria7 on 02/08/2012:

WII - Monday Feb 06, 2012
(Weight Watchers - Working Out At Curves)
Weight: 188.5

It seems that the headache I've had for the last week is because I have a sinus infection. I will be going to the doctor tomorrow. I also want her to look at this lump and redness under my left arm. It is kind of scary after having had cancer and then having an uncle who had lymph node cancer. It is probably nothing but I still have to check it out.

I started adding to my exercise at home using all the stuff I have. Arm day, leg day, planks, you get the drift. Yesterday I took a beautiful 2 hour walk in the fresh air as it was sunny and rather mild yesterday. Tonight is Curves, tomorrow I have a 4 hour Red Cross first aid certification class so no exercise tomorrow because the class starts early so no time to squeeze in an exercise. I'd go in the morning but I have to go to the doctor and have a fasting blood test done. So not a good idea to exercise LOL.

I also found that on Friday, which is my early off day at work, that by the time I get home from exercise after work, it is still only 5PM which is very early in the evening. And I eat my supper...and then do all the other home/relaxation things and find out I get REALLY picky/hungry. Plus being so tired from a full week of work and then working out..yes, this leads to lots of eating. I didn't go over my 49 extra points, but I did use almost half of them and I didn't want to use any!

And now, this cold, *sigh* it also makes me tired and hungry. TIred I can't do anything about because I have to go to work..however, hungry...yeah too many opportunities!

OK a simple idea if you like hamburger helper but know it is so very costly in cals and points....take a frozen Weight Watcher mac n cheese meal and microwave it until just thawed. Brown 4oz of ground sirloin and then toss the mac n cheese on top and cook until nice and hot. It is 12 points for us WW people, the calories I'm not sure. But I was craving some comfort food LOL

Have a great week!

Progress as of today: 56.1 lbs lost so far, only 48.5 lbs to go!

grannyannie on 02/06/2012:
Hope you feel better soon. You're doing well with the workouts. Yes, get that lump checked out. It'll put your mind at ease.

Maria7 on 02/06/2012:
Goodness...I hope you feel better. Sinusitis is not fun. Take good care of yourself and drink plenty of fluids. A vaporizer helps, too. :-)

Umpqua on 02/06/2012:
First off, congrats on getting your plane tickets!! Sorry to hear about the sinus infection, I had one a few months ago and had to get antibiotics to get rid of it. Feel better soon and take it easy!

Well done getting your comfort food at a reasonable cost!! I can understand that when you are a survivor any little thing sets your mind racing, the better off you are given the all clear the better. Look after yourself:)

I hope you'll feel better WII. Do take care of that thing under your arm - probably you are right and it's nothing, but you'll feel better when you are sure of it. Stay well.

Hope hat you feel better soon WI <3 Thank you for the nice comment, I appreciate it :) Have a good evening!!

Justine6Robert3 on 02/06/2012:
Sorry to hear your suffering from a sinus infection, that can be very unpleasant....might need some antibiotics to get rid of it. Definetly a good idea to get the lump under your arm checked out, you can never be to careful with your health. I can imagine you would want to take extra care after already having a battle with cancer. It is hard to fight the munchies when you eat an early dinner. I used to make dinner around 5:00 also but I have found it's easier to avoid evening munching if I eat around 6:00 or 6:30 instead. Hope your feeling better soon!

hollybelle on 02/07/2012:
Hope your cold clears quicky - a bunch of it going around! Praying about your lump! Good to check it out sooner than later. God bless.

Bust - lost 1" (OF COURSE)
Chest - lost 1.5"

So, total of 5 1/2 inches lost in January. I'll take it!

Way to go on the lost inches. Your dinner sounds delish. Enjoy it.

sweetpea1977 on 02/02/2012:
Congrats on the inches lost!

You've lost almost 27 pounds since you rejoined us in September. Thats roughly 1.5 lbs/week, which is awesome! If you continue this average loss, you will be at least 16.5 lbs lighter (172lbs or less!) and who know how many inches smaller! So just push yourself as hard as you can go at Curves and continue to make good choices!

Enjoy your dinner!

NewBeginning on 02/02/2012:
You're definitely on the same page as me :D

And well done for the inches you've lost!!! Keep it up! I've learnt from experience that any loss is still a loss so be happy :)

(Weight Watchers - Working Out At Curves)
Weight: 188.5

YES! It is soooooooooo NICE to be out of the 190's! AND to have 48.5lbs left till goal instead of what I started with at 104.6. Something about being under 50lbs left to lose is really exciting to me! I'm 3.9lbs away from losing 60lbs so that is my next mini goal. My major goal this month is to get out of the 180's!

I still haven't had any soda pop and have had very little caffeine. The caffeine I get is from chocolate and I usually have a small bag of pretzel M&M's once or twice a week. I am going to take my measurements tonight when I get home and see what, if anything, in my abdominal and hip area has shrunk. I am excited because those size 16 jeans I've had hanging on my closet door, well I can pull them up, and zip them up while standing. However, they are less than comfortable and there is quite the muffin top. But I do believe the bloat in my gut is starting to go away and I believe that has everything to do with the diet soda no longer being in my life. And that I am drinking a gallon of water a day. It helps me.

My daughter, bless her heart, is bummed at all the weight she's gained during pregnancy. She's only gained 28lbs and is in her 33rd week. But she is also only 4'11" so her baby belly is really prounounced..but it is all baby belly! She has ZERO stretch marks and verrrrrrry little of that weight has crept into other places. But she is going to join WW for new moms with me when she has the baby, so that will be exciting.

Well, I have to get back to work. You all have a lovely and beautiful weekend!

Progress as of today: 56.1 lbs lost so far, only 48.5 lbs to go!

Hey WII, where do I post the recipe? If I put it here, it gets all jumbled up on one line. I put it in my Tastebook cookbook and I have a link. Let me put the link here for you and then tell me where I could post it. http://www.tastebook.com/recipes/3193866-Taco-Casserole Thanks!

Congrats on your continued loss!! Giving up the diet drinks really helps. Also giving up sugar not only gets rid of empty calories, but it helps the metabolism by not spiking insulin. For me, it was like being an alcoholic - I had to go cold turkey and I had 3 really yucky days of cravings. But I feel great with more energy now. Keep up the good work and that's exciting that you will be a grandmother!

Congrats to you as well on being smoke-free!

Awesome awesome work! And great job ditching the diet soda, that stuff is so full of sodium. You're making major progress and that's awesome that your daughter is already committed to being healthy after she has the baby. Very exciting!

I am soooooo happy for you!! Great job on the NO SODA/Caffine too! I cut out the soda back in 2006 (I still start my day with a cup of coffee w/1 packet of splenda) & it's the only 10 lbs that seems to stay off of me no matter whatever else I let "run amock" again!! These days my dght laughs at me becus once in a blue moon I'll say: Tonight I'm gonna live large & treat myself to a soda! Keep that momentum going my friend!

Great job, WII! You are really on a good roll here. I know your d can't see it just now, but she really is doing well. Glad she is committed to her health and WW for moms after delivery is a great idea. I didn't even know they had special groups like that. Cool. You are doing great on the water too. I have been drinking more H2O, but more to me is maybe a quart and a half. I have cut out most coffee, but still drink caffineated tea. I have switched to stevia instead of asparatame, except when we eat out, etc. small changes.

You are doing WONDERFUL!!! Wow, your daughter is so lucky to not have any stretch marks!

Thats awesome news on your daughter too. She is gaining very well and due to her age she'll probably drop most of the weight quickly!

Golly you're doing great--keep up the good work!

And the caffeine thing is not the easiest, but so worth it--good for you!

grannyannie on 02/02/2012:
Good job! You've done so amazingly well!

RYC Thanks! Looking forward to the trip. We don't get to London often enough.
