It's Election Day!

I am up 1 pound--no biggie--I haven't been logging my food. I did my 20 min jog yesterday. I sound like a broken record, but I'm so pleased:-) This was my last scheduled jog, so I have to come up with a new schedule. I'll keep the 3 day routine and add a couple minutes a week (actually every 4 sessions) up until 35 min, then I'll see how I feel.

As for my measurements, I don't have any explanation. My bust is up an inch and my leg measure is down a bit. I just measure and am ecstatic when they're down--what can I say?

If you can, get out and vote (if you haven't already)! Have a wonderful day!

kyrin on 11/05/2002:
Congrats on those shifting inches, gal! Does anyone really complain about increasing their bust measurements? LOL

Congrats too on making it through the jog schedule. I'm proud of you!

That's great that you're doing so well on your jogging program. I love jogging, but I never seem to be able to stick to it. At least walking is something I can be consistent with. Good for you on your measurements, too.

Just a short entry to log my exercise. On Friday I did my 20 min jog. Then earlier today I did my Circuit Aerobic Workout.

Hope you have a lovely day!

You have a great day yourself. Love ya, annastasia

Happy Friday!

I did no exercise. My legs are extremely sore--except for my quads--those darn lunges! I don't think I'll have trouble with my scheduled jog--since it obviously doesn't work those muscles. You can think you're in pretty good shape, then do a few lunges and "slap!"--you ain't in no kind of shape, honeeeeee!

Have a good one!

MichelleP on 11/01/2002:

Sounds like your legs are telling you to give them a rest! Funny how you can do one thing and it really does feel out of sorts the next day! Have a wonderful weekend!

Soon2BThin on 11/01/2002:
Oh, gosh, those lunges!! I tried them a couple of weeks ago, but gave them up. They hurt my knees so bad! And I kept falling over to one side or the other. I am not coordinated at all, haha! Keep up the good work. You're doing great!

Finally, for the first time in at least 2 months, I did my Circuit Aerobic Workout using the Airdyne. I guess it took about an hour. It feels good to get back into the swing of things:-)

Have a great day!

<font color=#ff9900> HAPPY HALLOWEEN, Biscotti! You get attagirls for the Circuit Workout. I'll bet it did feel good to get back into the swing of things. Let's do it again today.

Lots of orange fruits and veggies. Yes?

you're doing great with exercise, and sounds like you're feeling better for it too. I need to get some more enthusiasm back 'specially as it is so cold and dark here at nights, it's often much easier to cosy up in the house than get on with some exercise...

If you get the time in between trick'o'treaters, the group has a chat scheduled tonight (9PM EST) over at dietdiarieschat. We'd love to see you there...where we can all avoid the candy together.

I did my 20 min jog. It was about 1.7 miles as I clocked it. The first time I checked mileage for 20 min, I did 1.5 back in mid-August, so I'm making some progress.

Food choices could have been better. Plus, I did have a bit of
chocolate--mini-Hershey bars. Not my favorite brand of chocolate, but it's still chocolate, right?

Drank about 40 oz water. Have a great day!

BellaK on 10/30/2002:
Congrats on sticking to your jog and making time/mileage progress! I'm sure you burned the calories from that mini-Hershey-but-still chocolate then! Have a great one! :o) Bella

kyrin on 10/30/2002:
That sounds like some nice progress...especially since you haven't been pushing to increase your mileage. Way to go, Biscotti!

Happy Tuesday!

I'm down 2 pounds from last week--small success! If I had to say why, it's probably because I increased my water consumption greatly compared to the previous couple of weeks.

My measurements for Abd Hip Waist Bust RtLeg RtArm are down a total of 9.5 inches. This is derived from my original measurements from 6.23.2001--my high loss was 13.75 inches on 10.30.01. Not to put too fine a point on it all--hahaha!

Regrettably, I didn't get in my workout:-( Today I have my jogging session, for sure. I did drink 40 oz water. Actions speak louder than words, so I'll see you all later--have a good food day!

SoccerMom on 10/29/2002:
Good job on losing those two pounds again. I'm working on losing a couple myself, but refuse to step on the scale again until I'm convinced that it's going to show a drop...haha. Maybe next week. I've done a darn fine job of maintaining for a year and a half...so this week I've really concentrated on cutting food consumption more, and exercising with a bit more intensity, too. We'll see if it works.

Have a great jog!

Beth 201 on 10/30/2002:
Good job on the weight loss. Keep up the great work. Thanks for your support. :) BETH

I didn't exercise yesterday. Drank about 40 oz water. Made some oatmeal date scones and they were too tempting to stop at just one. I managed to have 2 leftover though:-) Not very conducive to weight

On a good note though, I've been able to avoid chocolate lately--I just haven't given in. Plus, I'm not one to eat it all at once (most of the time).

So, I've got my Circuit Aerobic Workout planned for later. More water--possibly 80 oz.

Have a good one everyone!

MichelleP on 10/28/2002:

LOL I hear so much about these things called scones, dang someday I will try one I swear! Maybe once I reach the final goal. LOL!

Sounds like you are doing a great job! Esp. with the chocolate, that seems to be the one thing that is getting to me the last few weeks.... so much of it around.... grr! Keep up the great job! I will try to stop with the dang M&M's that seems to me gold LOL! Hugs

Thanks for looking in on me. I'm just coming out of a long fight with bronchitis, it had me down for three weeks. Thanks to Biaxin, and Prednisone I fought it. That weight loss of 14 pounds was strictly due to the illness, and lack of apetite. You're right that is not a good way to lose weight.

Break out the confetti--I reached my 20 min jogging goal on time!

So now my next goal (eventually) is to actually be a bit faster--a 10 min mile actually qualifies as "running," supposedly. I have no idea how long it will take to get there. I've got to make another plan. I thought of sticking with the old one and instead of jog/walk, make it run/jog. I've got three more installments of just 20 min straight jogging. I'm very proud of myself for accomplishing this. I hope I stay free of injury enough to at least keep up jogging 20 min 3-4 times/week.

My food choices weren't the greatest, sort of middle-of-the-road, I'd say. Also, I drank about 40 oz water.

Hope you have a happy Sunday!

SoccerMom on 10/27/2002:
Congrats on reaching your jogging goal! My husband told me last night that "running's where it's at", and that I should start trying to run again. As long as my knee holds up, I might give it a try. Higher impact exercises (like running) usually give my left knee problems...feels like a sac of fluid in there and it hurts like the "divil"...but I'm going to try it. Wish me luck!

Oh, I posted the recipe for the Cheesy Chicken Broccoli soup on my diary for today. Enjoy!

traya on 10/27/2002:
WoooHooo for reaching your goal! Congratulations! I am still doing good to walk a mile in 20 min!!! Tammy :-)

Firebabe on 10/27/2002:
WTG Girl! I loved my jogging when I was doing it, really should again, for me it was such a peaceful meditation time and I knew the kids wouldn't interupt me! If you haven't, check out Runners World online www.runnersworld.com They have great articles and inspiration plus a free running log online you can use if you like. I entered my first 5k earlier this summer (July 4) and placed 3rd in my age group. (low turn out, not great running, but hey, still cool to have the award!) Good luck!

Sunflowers on 10/27/2002:
You definitely deserve congratulations! Not only did you make the 20 minute jogging goal - but you did it on time! That's awesome. Keep up the great work. (And good job on the water. That's my dieting problem - not enough water.)

prism on 10/27/2002:
I can't even imagine being able to jog for 20 minutes. I can walk for miles, but jogging is just too intense for me. Glad you made your goal! The few times I have done some jogging it always made me feel really good. Keep up the good work :)

Victoria on 10/27/2002:
Hey hey! Congrats on meeting your jogging goal! I was running over the summer, but since I came to college, I just stopped. However, tomarrow its back to the gym. Hehe, well, keep up the good work! ;-)

I had a good day with exercise--I did about 53 min (5.1 mi by its count) on the NordicTrack (for the first time in such a long time). Foodwise I sort of grazed all day--better than skipping a meal, I guess. Drank about 60 oz water.

Hope you have a good weekend!

Well, today was much better with the food despite my skipping lunch. I ate a good breakfast and just didn't get hungry or make the time for it. In the long run, for me it's as bad as overeating because I end up making up for the meal skipping eventually. So I don't plan to make it a habit.

I drank about 60 oz water. All in all, I was pleased with the day:-) Have a wonderful Friday!

traya on 10/25/2002:
Good day - I know what you mean about skipping a meal - either your mind or your body tries frantically to make it up somewhere! traya :-)

SoccerMom on 10/25/2002:
Hi there! I skipped breakfast this morning...had to run out the door to work, and didn't have time. I did have a granola bar during my break, though. We're having cheesy chicken and broccoli soup for dinner tonight (home made). It's only 48 here this afternoon, and raining...hot soup sounds soooooo good!

Have a great weekend!
