Yesterday was good. Calories were 1340, water 72 oz. exercise 1 hour curves + 15 minutes stretching. I got a lot of comments on the cookies - most of them said to toss them. Excelent idea, but I don't live alone and I have to keep that in mind. Just becauses I am on a diet doesn't mean that my husband is! I do appreciate the advice - it just didn't work for me this time. Well, now my co-worker is sick. She was off yesterday and again today. This stuff is wicked!!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!!

I hear ya on the cookies...I have 2 little boys I care for, as well as my w kids. Healthier eating is on the plate of our family, but not necessarily as stringent as my choices....That is why I went ahead and totes up my choices seperate from everybody elses. Kinda made me feel SPECIAL! Keep up the good work & have a wonderful Wednesday...

mcwoo40 on 01/30/2008:
Hiya,My husband should be but he is'nt!!He keeps sneaking food behind my back so I've stopped caring now.take care Julie

Great Job!! Congrats to you!

CritterMom on 01/30/2008:
I hear you on the cookies...they aren't a temptation for me (gluten-intolerant), but hubby would be quite upset if I "censored" his goodies. LOL

Good job yesterday!!

shadetree on 01/30/2008:
Funny, my husband is the one always trying to get rid of my treats! You're doing great!

caz on 01/31/2008:
My partner says he doen't want junk food, but I caught him in the kitchen the other night eating my son's chockie biscuits. It's hard not to have these things about. Keep up the good work.

what a wonderful day you had yesterday! :)

Yesterday was just ok on the diet side. I drank 64 oz of water, exercised 1 hour + 15 minutes of stretching, but ate what I should not have. I started out real good. That lasted until mid afternoon when I start in on the no bake cookies. They are still here, but they are now out of sight. That helps. Today will be better - the plan is 64 oz water, 1 hour + 15 minutes exercise and 1400 HEALTHY calories.

CritterMom on 01/29/2008:
Toss the cookies! I find that I just cannot have the things that temp me in the house, or I WILL eat them. Good job on the exercise.

thinnsidenotout on 01/29/2008:

maria777 on 01/29/2008:
Thanks for your comment re:Mom...

You are doing fantastic with your calories and exercise! As for the cookies, I had quite a few today!

workingit2 on 01/29/2008:
Have a great evening and a wonderful Wednesday!

mmuraro on 01/29/2008:
I have this rule that I don't buy 'treats' anymore. So if i want ice cream (my weakness) or a cookie, I will go out, get one, have it and get it over with. If i got it at the store and had it home, it would be too hard not to have it! 17 lbs is a lot, though, so you know what to do! :)

leeumom on 01/30/2008:
You still have cookies in the house------- thats a bad------------ thing. Be a good neighbor----take them to a more deserving person----- an enemy maybe! And you'll make a friend!!!! Boy, you must have self control. Great job on the water and exercise.

Down 2 pounds today. I am going to go back to weighing everyday.

Todays plan - 1400 Calories (all healthy), 64 oz. of water, 1 hour curves + 15 minutes stretching.

School is on a 2 hour delay. They may end up cancelling, but I have to go at reg. time. It feels good to be getting back to work.

caz on 01/28/2008:
Well done on the weight loss.. You are certainly doing well. I THINK YOU SHOULD WEIGH MORE REGULARLY IF IT KEEPS UP THE MOMENTUM. Have a great day

hollybelle on 01/28/2008:
Wonderful! Hope weather improves soon, but doesn't seem to be holding you back!

thinnsidenotout on 01/28/2008:
Glad to know you are feeling better and able to go back to work. Schools on the outer skirts of us are either cancelled or in a 2 hour delay. WE must live in the same 100-200 mile radius of each other. Sounds like a great decision to weigh daily....

mcwoo40 on 01/28/2008:
Well done your doing brill,Julie

Horn_Of_Plenty on 01/28/2008:
is it alright to say "yay" for a 2hr delay! haha! none of those on Long Island this year...we've had practically no snow! That's ok by me! Have a good day, your plan sounds excellent! :)

leeumom on 01/28/2008:
Wonderful on the weight loss. Really sounds like a great plan on the amount you are eating. I do believe it helps to weigh in each day.

maria777 on 01/28/2008:
YAYYYYYY!!!! SOOOO happy for you! You are really doing FANTASTIC!!!! And an hour at curves and 1400 calories! WAY TO GO~~~~!!!! Big smile to you!

I hope all of you had a good weekend - it is almost over!!!!

I just did a quick count - there are about 50+- of us that are logging in fairly reagulary - no wonder it takes so long to read and comment!

I am feeling much better and ready to get back to work and the little germs. I have only left the house once since Tues. Went to visit my mother in law. It was a fun little outing. Today, I was going to go shop for anything just to get out, but the streets are ice and the snow is about 6". It is beautiful out, but decided it wasn't worth the risk of driving since didn't really need anything. Just wanted to releave a little cabin fever. Well - I really could have used some CHOCOLATE!!! My need was so strong, that I made some no bake choc. cookies. So far I have only eaten 1. Tomorrow is my one week weigh in day. I am not looking forward to it at all. I have not exercised since Tues. and have eaten way too much of all the wrong things. Must be why there is no chocolate in the house!!!! I think that I will go back to weighing daily. I am a lot more comfortable with that.

Progress as of today: 15 lbs lost so far, only 68 lbs to go!

mmuraro on 01/27/2008:
Hey, thanks for your comment today. I'll make sure I'll eat enough calories starting tomorrow! Also, the winter can be brutal for the diet, which makes me optimistic, because if we're doing a pretty good job now, imagine in the spring! :) I weight daily too. I get upset sometimes when it fluctuates a pound or so, but at the same time, if you weight weekly I tend not to do so well in the first days and then try to make up for it in the last ones before the weight in. Good luck tomorrow and if it wasn't as good as you expected, there's always the next day. and the next, and the next!

thinnsidenotout on 01/27/2008:
weighing is a tough call...daily/weekly/2 x week....I used to do it daily and then I didn't step on the scale at all for who knows how long. I see where that got me...10# more than I thought I was....I have opted to weigh on Wednesdays, as it is the middle of the week and if I overeat on the weekend/get back on track Monday & Tuesday it will be the best true reading I will get. You do what works for you..and just keep losing!

thinnsidenotout on 01/27/2008:
Just noticed on another post tha you ahdn't figured out how to post a photo... Any graphic/picture I have posted was what I had downloaded to photobucket.com and you just copy, then paste the hotmail tag into your diary listing... Use <p><center> if you want your picture centered and in a new paragraph format, then at the end of the hotmail tag put </center><p> and it will go back to the regular writing in a new paragraph and will not be centered... I learned this all from Ebay...hotmail coding is what it is called & how to get the different colored lettering, etc..You may have known about hotmail coding and I don't mean to seem a know it all, just thought you might like to know one way of posting at least a photo...

leeumom on 01/27/2008:
Boy are you doing good with just one cookie. I could not do it. Can't have it in the house or I would be all over it. I weigh daily to be more accountable to everyone. Other wise I found myself cheating myself. The once a week I allowed myself to cheat middle of week and then try to lose a pound before the next weigh in. Summer is coming and I want to feel smaller! Good luck!
