Back on the wagon, yesterday went better.

B - Slimfast

L - homemade hardy soup with cheese, sour cream, and salsa added

S - small apple, 2 olives

D - battered fried fish, tater tots, green beans

S - small apple

Water intake was good.

Progress as of today: 52 lbs lost so far, only 42.6 lbs to go!

The past few days have been less than stellar.  I didn't fall completely off the wagon, but I was only holding on with one hand while being dragged behind the wagon.  Ice cream, some small chocolate bars, chips, and lots of overeating.  The reason I wasn't completely off the wagon was because the ice cream was only 1 scoop in a cone, the chocolate bar pieces added up to a total of just over 1 regular sized bar, the chips were a baked "healthier" type, and the majority of the overeating was on foods that weren't the worst for me.  

I definitely didn't deserve a weight loss this week, but I'm very thankful for it.  I made a large batch of a thick hardy soup with hamburger, tomato sauce, pasta, beans, corn, fried cabbage, onion, garlic, and bacon.  I then usually top it off with some cheese, salsa, sour cream.  After seeing a few of you others making larger batches of soup, I've tried it a few times now.  I don't usually like eating the same stuff on back to back days, but it sure does help to keep me on track when I know exactly what I'm eating for lunches during the weekdays.  I think the lack of planning for meals is what ends up hurting me the most.

It's a new week and I'm climbing back up inside the wagon again.

congrats on weight loss. Yes the routine is good. Large batch of a meal means you do not have to think about what you have to make for the next meal or the next day.

Congratulations ! Good work with the soup. I just gotta have it. I know the real reason you didn't fall with a thud is because you didn't want to let us down when we're all cheering for you. (just kidding) I'm sure the girls (Daughters, Wife ) are happy for you. I know EXACTLY what you mean about the maintaining. It could be a killer. I'm just keeping on. Congratulations again.

Yesterday did not go as planned.

B - Slimfast

L - food from a gas station while driving by - corndog, spicey jojos with ranch (fried breaded potatoes) 

S - couple olives, cracker

D - restaurant - large pork chop sandwich with large side of french fries

S - cold cheese sandwich, couple olives, mini chocolate bar

Water intake was a little low.  No exercise.

 

Progress as of today: 49.8 lbs lost so far, only 44.8 lbs to go!

L - 2 beef tacos at Cafe Rio 

S - couple olives

D - cabbage rolls and baked potato

S - apple

Water intake was good.  Went to the gym - 15 minutes elliptical, 21 minutes treadmill, 9 minutes bike.

Progress as of today: 49.8 lbs lost so far, only 44.8 lbs to go!

It's christian skate night every Monday at the local roller skating rink. My daughters (7&10) enjoy it and it's exercise for the whole family. It starts at 6pm and they have the "limbo" game around 7:30pm, then we head off to get ready for bed. Limbo is both my daughter's favorite part of the night because they love having something that they can beat daddy at.

I taught my little sister (10) how to skate recently and all i told her was "keep your head up!!" she eventually got it and didnt even need my hand :)

They're large green olives with strong flavor. I try to keep a jar of different flavored olives in the fridge for when I want a snack. They're about 10 calories each and the flavor is strong and salty, so 2 is about all I really want anyways. I don't always remember to write them down on my entry, but have a couple probably 4 or 5 days a week. They serve no other purpose than to divert me from snacking on something with higher calories.

B - Slimfast

S - cookie

L - banana, finished off the homemade soup with hotdog added

D - pizza - about 5 slices and a couple breadsticks, chocolate frosted cupcake

S - apple

Water intake was alright and I made it to the gym (15 minutes elliptical, 23 minutes bike, 7 minutes treadmill).  Dinner was a birthday party and I ate and ate.

Progress as of today: 49.8 lbs lost so far, only 44.8 lbs to go!

L - went out for chinese food - ate quite a bit - heavy on the meat, lighter on the noodles

D - homemade tacos and I ate several

S - apple - "Pink Lady" - my wife introduced me to this type - mildly tart, not as tart as a granny smith

Water intake was good.  Went to the gym for the first time in a week.  15 minutes elliptical, 22 minutes treadmill, 8 minutes recumbant bike

Yesterday went alright.

B - Slimfast

L - fried beef sausage mixed in with leftover homemade soup, topped with a little sour cream

D - went to restaurant - had a big loaded cheeseburger and a large side of greasy fries

S - couple olives, half a bag of microwave popcorn, small piece of zucchini bread

Water intake was good.  Last night the whole family ended up together in the living rm with the fireplace on.  Not a lot of interaction, but just everyone together reading or using the internet on tablets.  Just kind of lazily laying around and the snacks were calling my name.

On a plus note, I'm feeling better today.  Still a little unsettled, but I think everything's leaning toward the better side.  Maybe a workout is in the mix for tonight, depends on the rest of the day.

Water intake was good.  Today marks 1 week since I've been to the gym, hopefully I'll start feeling better and head to the gym again over the next few days.

Hope you are feeling better. I had a couple of days this week where my stomach was just "off". Better now. Actually acid reducer -randinadine - sp? - helped - OTC med.
