Yesterday went alright.

B - Slimfast

S - piece of havarti cheese

L - giant salad - lettuce, tomato, italian dressing, blue cheese crumbles, bacon bits, freshly seared steak slices, sauteed onions, green olives

D - 2 large homemade tacos

S - small handful of popcorn that I stole as my wife walked by with 2 bowls for her and the kids

Water intake went alright.


Progress as of today: 14.2 lbs lost so far, only 80.4 lbs to go!

Yesterday went well.

B - Slimfast

2pm - slice of turkey, slice of havarti

D - chicken kiev, spaghetti squash, corn

Water intake was good.

I'm probably missing something else that I ate yesterday, but I was busy so eating took a back seat.  Things slowed down before supper and I was hungry, but decided I didn't want to snack so close to dinner time.  I wasn't hungry later after dinner, but felt like a snack.  I decided I've been giving in to cravings a little too much lately, so went without a late night snack. 

Progress as of today: 14.2 lbs lost so far, only 80.4 lbs to go!

I usually cook spaghetti squash in the oven 400F. An hour if whole, or 40 minutes if cut in half upside down in 1" of water. I like it with ground nutmeg and butter, sometimes some parmesan. I like the stringy "spaghetti" consistency. Forgot to mention, you scoop out / throw away the center mush with seeds. It's the only squash I'll eat.

Yesterday started good.

B - got up and made a large omelet for the family - eggs, cream, ham, cheddar cheese

11am - piece of turkey and havarti cheese

1pm - fruit / nut granola bar

3pm - banana

D - fried sausage and bbq baked beans - for some reason I was craving this, probably due to sugar in bbq sauce

7pm - half large bag of microwave popcorn 

Water intake was alright.

I wasn't hungry after dinner, but I was bored and really felt like eating.  I've also been craving popcorn and someone left a box of microwave popcorn out on the counter, so I gave in.  I stuck half of it in a bowl to take with me and threw the other half in the garbage (otherwise I would've probably returned for the 2nd half later on).

Progress as of today: 14.2 lbs lost so far, only 80.4 lbs to go!

I hate it when boredom kicks in; this is ALWAYS when my feet take me to the fridge/pantry. It's like my hunger signals turn right off and I can eat everything in sight and not become full. Hate it!

Yesterday was ok.

B - Slimfast

S - slice of deli meat and Havarti cheese

L - I was driving around for work, so grabbed a small chilli from Wendys

S - mandarin orange

D - pork chop, edamame, baked apple

S - fruit/nut granola bar

Water intake was ok.

Yesterday was different.  I wasn't feeling hungry in the morning / afternoon so I just kind of had little snacks instead of a larger lunch meal.  Dinner was pretty large and I wasn't hungry when I ate the late night snack (granola bar).  I've been craving popcorn lately.


Progress as of today: 14.2 lbs lost so far, only 80.4 lbs to go!

I decided I'm going back to weighing in once a week.

B - Slimfast

L - 8" sub at Jimmy Johns

D - roast pork, potatoes, cauliflower, lettuce salad, and 1 cream puff for dessert

S - deli slice of turkey, slice of Havarti, small handful of pistachio nuts

I checked the Jimmy Johns website for the nutrional information on my favorite sandwich before going.  I now know why I love the #9.......it's almost 1000 calories by itself (948).  A regular lunch with a #9, small bag of chips, and large Coke comes to 1500 calories, 2500mg sodium, 195g carbs.  I decided on a #5, water, and no chips for 600 calories.  Not as tasty / satisfying, but better for me.

Progress as of today: 14.2 lbs lost so far, only 80.4 lbs to go!

Yesterday was alright.

D - piece of quiche and some potato salad

S - piece of cheese

Ok amount of water intake.

I waited my week for weigh-in this time, but think that I'll be switching back to a daily weigh-in which I seem to enjoy more.

Yesterday the snacks were out of boredom again, not hunger.  

Progress as of today: 13.8 lbs lost so far, only 80.8 lbs to go!

Congrats on your loss!! I can relate to the snacking out of boredom - but healthy snacking can keep your metabolism working and your snacks were not of the bad carb type. Cheese is actually good protein so it was a nutritious snack! Have a great day!

Yesterday went ok.

B - Slimfast

L - 1/2lb hamburger with sauteed onions and mushrooms, small salad with blue cheese dressing, baked beans

D - 2 bratwurst, 1 bun, some coleslaw, potato salad, and macaroni salad

Water intake was on the lower end.  

The Slimfast or other breakfast shakes are mainly for convenience.  Any of them that I chose are high in protein and low in sugars.  The Slimfast chocolate that I drink most of the time is the high protein low carb version which has 20g of protein and 4g carbs (2sugar,2fiber).  I usually don't eat breakfast, so it's pretty much either these "shakes" or I'd just skip breakfast alltogether.

I kept from snacking, but lunch and dinner were large meals with a lot of food intake.  Weighin day is tomorrow, so that should give me some motivation to keep today on track.

Progress as of today: 9.6 lbs lost so far, only 85 lbs to go!

Yesterday was ok with some slipups.

B - Slimfast shake

L - large can of soup - chicken noodle

snack - piece of cheese

snack - a fruit/nut granola bar

D - spicy chicken wings and green beans 

snack - piece of cheese

mistake - about 5 or 10 potato chips

I've been trying to keep to just 3 meals and not snack inbetween.  None of the snacks were due to being "hungry".  They were more due to being bored and stressed and wanting food for comfort.  Unfortunately I'm an "all or nothing" type guy, so after 1 screwup it's usually going to be a day filled with screwups.  I know what I chose to snack on wasn't terrible and even the potato chips were a limited amount, but I still don't like failing.

Progress as of today: 9.6 lbs lost so far, only 85 lbs to go!

At least you're aware of where you need change. Are you getting enough water ? It fills me up pretty much all day and I don't feel "Snacky". By the looks of your chart, you're not failing.

its actually in a bag of rice right now.. but i think it sat in the dryer for a couple days already, i was too lazy to fold the clothes when they got done so i didnt get to them til yesterday, i dunno if that matters or not, but im pretty sure theres no hope :( thanks for the suggestion tho... menu looks good, hope u have a good day!

I know you didn't ask but breakfast really is the most important meal of the day..With that being said maybe exploring protein powders with more protein, less filler may be more filling than the slim fast shakes, just a suggestion,,I think that you are doing a wonderful job Just keep at!!!

Yesterday went good.

B - Slimfast

L - slice of pickled beet and a large omelette - 2 eggs, 1/4lb ground hamburger, some ham pieces, onion, mozzarella cheese - I really wished I would've had some fresh pico de gallo or salsa and some sour cream to top it with, but didn't think of it until the omelette was made and I didn't have any of the stuff in the fridge.

D - frozen dinner - roast chicken and green beans - I couldn't eat the green beans, I tried, but they tasted nasty.  Ate the chicken and ate 1/2 of a fruit/nut granola bar.  Also had a bite of another bar which was a healthy version of a chocolate w/ coconut bar.  The chocolate/coconut bar tasted good to me, however my wife said that it didn't taste very good to her.  The difference is that I haven't had any regular chocolate for a couple weeks.  I'm sure if I had just eaten a regular chocolate bar that the healthy alternative would've tasted far inferior.  

Water intake was alright, but on the lower end of the scale.

Yesterday was decent.

B - Atkins shake - strawberry banana - It was much better than yesterday's EAS brand shake.  The consistency was better and the flavor was ok.

L - 6oz steak with garlic / onion

D - very large salad, imagine a mixing bowl full of lettuce, chicken, apple, bacon bits, onion, broccoli, and smothered with blue cheese dressing - probably an 800-1000 calorie salad - it tasted alright and filled a craving for a full tummy

Water intake was alright.
