Rest day. Housework done yesterday. No workouts today. Internet & reading my book.
The scale is going down but counting calories until I'm back where I'm most comfortable.

Changed my weight to this morning's. I was at 130 before our trip to Birmingham and 135 on the Tuesday morning after we came back. And after the massive election night pig-out I'm surprised to see I'm 132.2 this morning.

Today (and every day) I am grateful that I'm retired!
Stayed up ALL night last night to watch election returns - until nearly 7am. my time. Went to sleep until about 10am and got up so I wouldn't totally screw up my sleep. I'll go to bed early. Feel tired but happy and relieved.
Tomorrow I start counting calories to get off this extra weight due to indulgences and lack of exercise due to illness. Today I'll finish up the rest of my election night treats and there will be no temptations in the house.
Plan to do my strength training today and hope I have the energy.
Back to spin bike class tomorrow. Will be challenging after so many weeks!

Uh oh. With being sick for so long and then 4 days out of town partying, I do NOT want to get on the scale. I can feel I've gained something but I'll wait until next week to weigh myself.
Had a really nice 4 days with friends and their families and friends. Nice birthday party and other socializing. Definitely indulged! Enjoyed it though!
Planning on staying up all night tonight for election results and have the goodies and beer to celebrate or console myself. Then tomorrow I'm seriously back on track.

Off to Birmingham today for 4 days. Big birthday party Saturday night for my friend who will turn 60. There will be wine, beer and goodies, and I'll have fun but not be a total piggy!
Today I am grateful for my NHS (national health service) dentist! £10 ($16) for a checkup and very thorough (ouch) teeth cleaning!

After the dentist (only had to stop her once so I could cough) I went to the gym. Managed a partial workout.
Not 100% yet but definitely improving. Hubby's maybe 75%. Thursday morning we leave for Birmingham (England) for a long weekend. Will miss spin bike class again as we won't be here Thursday.

Intended clean eating today but after my teeth were abused and I struggled at the gym I felt the need for a treat - packet of Maltesers (malted milk balls). Otherwise, will be fairly clean eating today.
Have decided on treats for election night (I'll be staying up all night): either hubby's home brewed beer or some rose wine, picked up a small carton of my fave ice cream (Ben & Jerry's Karamel Sutra), probably get some Doritos or other salty, crunchy snack.
Wednesday of next week I will seriously get back on track foodwise and workouts! I want to be in peak shape when we go to Uganda Jan 8th. I have instructed my husband to be a dictator while we are there and make sure I do my 'travel workout' at least 3 times a week.

Still occasionally blowing my nose or congested and not much coughing. Grrr.... More than 2 weeks now. Hubby has had it more than a week. We are going out of town Thursday for 4 nights so hope we are more energetic by then, if not totally cold/flu-free. We have a friend's 60th birthday party to go to and are making it a longer trip. We'd like to see her newest grandchild but won't do it if we might be contagious.
I think I can manage to keep my appointment to get my teeth cleaned tomorrow. I'll stop in the gym afterward and do a cardio workout.
Planned to go to the gym this morning but woke up very low on energy. Hubby had a restless night which woke me up a lot. Did a good workout at home though.

Been doing a bit too much snacking - rice cakes, oatcakes, so need to get strict with calories again until we go out of town Thursday, and again when we come home - although I'm planning on treats for election night (for comfort or celebration).
