Today I am grateful for Glasgow stores and restaurants!
Spent the day in Glasgow in a last ditch search for a swimsuit. Very little choice as it's past the end of season. However, I found two! Both are one-piece and were not what I would have chosen if there was a huge variety. But they'll do.They fit although one is a UK 8 and one is a 10 (I think that's a 6 and 8 US). The 8 is a more snug fit, but still okay. There were plenty of bikinis on sale but most didn't have the matching top/bottom. I might post a pic of me in one of the suits tomorrow.
Took some pics with my phone camera. The ferry I take, and a view of our peninsula.
Exercise today....lots of walking! Meals....no comment!
Progress as of today: 38.8 lbs lost so far, only 0.2 lbs to go!
Today I am grateful that I'm a spoiled westerner and don't live in crushing poverty!
Goal for today is clean eating.
Last chance to try on swimsuits so am going for a day of shopping in Glasgow tomorrow. Big sales on but choices will be limited. I'll just have to buy whatever I can find that fits. Will have access to a couple of swimming pools while we are in Uganda in January. I'd prefer not to have to buy a bikini but will if I have to.
We are debating whether to spend a couple of nights at a very expensive lodge in Uganda, my favourite!
Still can't upload photos, even small ones. Has that ability been removed due to bandwidth limits?

Enjoy your day and week!
Great workout routine!!
Today I am grateful for another day of sunshine!
3 months from tomorrow we fly to Uganda for a 4 week visit. Very excited about seeing our friends and the country. I've just managed to find a programme on my android phone that lets me upload a Word file which has all my Runyankole notes (language of the SW area). I loved using the language when we lived there and the locals were always so delighted.
This is a non-workout day and clean eating.
Have a happy Sunday everybody.

Today I am grateful for sunshine which we are forecast to have the next 3 days!
A non-workout day.
I am battling my 'oatcake addiction'. I find it so easy to just take one out of the cupboard, then another, and another. The calories add up at 36 cals for the thinner ones and 43 for the rough ones. There is no junk food in the house at all so they have become my indulgence. I like the thin ones much better by themselves so I'm just going to buy the rough ones. Don't want to give them up as they are healthy and are my favourite after gym workout snack (with pb). Ingredients: oats, oil, salt. The scale jumped to 130 a couple of days ago so I need to behave. Doesn't sound like a huge gain but 130 can easily turn into 140, etc....
Tried to upload a photo of oatcakes but the site isn't letting me do it. ?
Week after next we have guests (another 'mixed' couple - Scottish & American) who will stay for 4 nights. The American is a Scottish folk singer and Gaelic choir singer and she'll be participating in this annual event. This year it just happens to be in our town. http://www.dunoonmod2012.org/
Have an amazing weekend, ladies!
Today I am grateful for good books!
Happy Friday everybody!

Have a good weekend.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Today I am grateful for the area I call home!
I don't know how she manages but my spin bike instructor finds ways to make each class a little bit tougher. It was so intense today!!
After class husband and I went to our botanic gardens for a 'fungal foray' looking for different mushrooms with an expert. About 30 people there. Really just booked it because I knew my hubby would enjoy it but I found it interesting as well. At the end we got tea/coffee and a big variety of homemade goodies. Yum!

I'm sure your intense class counteracted your "no comment" menu!
Today I am grateful for my gym!
Had a good workout at the gym although I woke up very tired again.

Thanks for the wishful thinking..It is really storming now, I am indeed off from work..If only I had a transporter, I could zap myself there and do your at home workout with you and perhaps a glass(or two) of vino with ya afterwards ;) Have a great day Annie <3
Today I am grateful for my washer and dryer! (remembering the hand washing in Uganda!)
Calorie-counting day - 1400-ish. Woke up feeling really drained but felt better a bit later. I should be doing my strength routines that didn't get done yesterday but I'm going to let it slide this time as it might be overdoing. I did do a 'super-clean' on our hallway. It's a wide hallway with nothing in it but a photo gallery. I did a good dusting of the photo frames, baseboards, a few cobwebs, radiators, vacuuming the edges of carpet, vacuumed, and then shampooed the carpet.

Today I am grateful for my sofa and good book!
Gym day but when I got there I started feeling dizzy or queasy off and on and also too hot. So I just did an hour and then came home. Hoping I'm not getting the flu that's going around. My appetite has not been affected as I just had a good sized lunch. Might do my home strength routines tomorrow and just lie on the sofa today and hope that I'm not getting sick.
Not a calorie-counting day today.
5 years ago today we left for Uganda to live for 2 years. 3 years ago tomorrow we left to come home. Here are the blog posts from arrival & departure if anyone cares to read them:

T minus 3 months and 1 week until we go back to visit!
Today I am grateful for.....today!
This is a calorie-counting rest day (1400 cals). I will be cleaning the bathrooms and shampooing the carpets in them. I'm bugging hubby to rip them both up and put in floor tiles but it'll be a while before he gets to it. Otherwise, reading a book and relaxing.
I'm following US election news of which we get a lot in the UK, but not nearly as much as in the US. As a citizen I'm entitled to vote absentee even though I'm not a resident, and this will be my 4th election from abroad.
