Thanks for your comments, ladies!! Was my pleasure to drink that Oberon's for you V! What are friends for?! LOL.
We have been visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes the past week and going back tomorrow. We head for home on Monday and I'm ready. Loved the visit and the trips but tired of suitcases.
I can feel that I have gained a lot. I have not been good when eating out! My trousers are tight, my shorts are tight. I'm busting out of my bras. Will find out the truth when I get on the scale on Wednesday. I've become more and more indulgent the longer we've been here. We've had BBQ's, ice cream, lots of beer, and lots of eating out - burgers, etc. Will be back on 1300-1400 cals and serious working out when we get back home.
This does NOT feel good!! I'm very uncomfortable and I KNEW better! Not happy!
Progress as of today: 37.8 lbs lost so far, only -0.8 lbs to go!
Thanks for your lovely comments yesterday, ladies! We are busy busy!
This morning the 3 of us rented a canoe and went down a rather slow moving river, though it did get very windy and made it hard work at times. We were fast and finished in 1.5 hours when it's normally 2 to 2.5 hours. We didn't pull out at all though or stop to swim. The river was very crowded with people in tubes, kayaks and canoes. So we did burn some calories!
Had porridge with strawberries the last 3 mornings plus a small piece of raisin toast with butter.
Was really hungry after our paddle and had a tuna sandwich, packet of potato chips (not low fat), a fruit popsicle. Probably BBQ some chicken tonight. Our rental house is located close to town so we can walk to the shops or the beach in a short time. Haven't been back to the ice cream though!
Hope you all are doing well and getting healthy and fit. Eventually I'll catch up a bit with blogs.

Thanks for the comments on my last post, ladies!
Been busy. Can't seem to find a chunk of time when I can do my strength training and take a shower afterwards. So I hope my muscles aren't shriveling up!
Having a good time but we're getting thunderstorms (which I love) and it's interfering with our outdoor activities. We don't really want to be paddling a canoe when a possible thunderstorm is on the horizon.
Eating healthy but also having treats, more than I should. But I'm not getting too stressed as my clothes still fit. I'll get rid of what I gained with 2 or 3 weeks after getting home.
We just love the vacation house I rented online (a year ago)!!! The Lake Michigan beach is gorgeous and so are the sand dunes. Being a tourist area there are, of course, lots of ice cream shops. I think I've had my last one though. I rarely eat ice cream at home even though I love it, so I guess I've overcompensated. Oh well....I'll burn it off at home.
On the dunes. Hubby doing some weird pose!

Hi ladies! Hope all of you are having gorgeous weather!
Had a fantastic massage this morning!! The masseuse asked me if I drank a lot of water. She could tell because she got my muscles to soften up easily. She also said I had good muscle tone and didn't seem like I was anywhere near 60 for the shape I was in!
Was good and had porridge and fruit for breakfast. Lunch was a turkey sandwich and split a packet of potato chips with sister, grapes, lemonade.
Going away for a week beginning tomorrow - beach, bikes, walking including up a very steep sand dune, canoeing, eating out some, got a bbq at the house we've rented, so I'm sure we'll do burgers, chicken, corn on cob.

Enjoy your time at the beach!!
Ugh!! I have had way too many treats! Quite a bit of exercise (not nearly as much as my usual amount) but far too indulgent. We are getting ready to go on a week long trip to a resort area as well. No idea what I've gained but I can feel it and see it -- maybe about 4 or 5 pounds.
But I am enjoying myself!!
Hope all of you are doing well! Plan to catch up on blogs soon!

Enjoy your treats and keep moving about!
Hiya ladies! Been very busy! Tomorrow we get to see the baby (great niece) who was born the day before the wedding. The mom was supposed to be a bridesmaid but was busy elsewhere!

Did my strength routine this morning and a LOT of walking this afternoon in an arboretum and to town.

Hi ladies! Been very busy so not much time to write/read blogs, etc.
Yesterday was the 34 mile bike ride, and today we did a LOT of walking.
Food today....hmmm.....
Not had lots of time. Food? No comment!
Did a 34 mile bike ride today. So I guess it was ok to have cappucino chocolate chip ice cream.
Will catch up on blogs later.

Wedding was amazing! The bride (my niece) who is gorgeous anyway was the prettiest bride I've ever seen. Gorgeous dress. Beautiful ceremony, awesome reception. 200+ guests.
Dinner was filet mignon and chicken, salad, lots of cakes, open bar. Lots of relatives and other people I don't get to see often
Never got a pic of me in my slinky, elegant dress so I'll have to put it back on sometime for pic. I was too busy having fun to take a lot of pics and this is the best of the few I did take - first dance.
Leaving tomorrow morning for a 2 night trip. Doing the 33 mile bike ride on Tuesday.

Confession time: dinner last night: Cuban. The restaurant was my nephew's choice as yesterday was his final day of high school. Unusual burgers and all have skinny fries on top of them and then put on the bun (there IS the option of having them leave them off). I had a black bean burger and the fries on top, and the family ordered 2 extra orders of fries with spicy mayo which were shared. My drink was a thin passionfruit milkshake with rum. So yummy!
Only had a bottle of beer when we got back to the house so less alcohol calories yesterday.
I won't mention the frozen mocha that I had at Panera at lunch! The brain freeze I got when I slurped too fast was my punishment for that! Ouch!
Breakfast today was a cinnamon toast and a whole wheat toast - butter. Need to be good more often while I'm here or I'll regret it.
At noon I'm going with my SIL to a 50 min spin bike class!
The weather has turned weird. High about 60F/15C today and it's raining.

I hope you had a great spin class!

What a great friend you are to have my fave beer :P I can't wait to have one! I am sure you will hit it hard once you get back into your normal routine <3 Have a good weekend Annie!
Umpqua on 06/22/2012:
I'm sure you've had an excellent vacation and you'll be back in your routine once you are home. Safe travels home Annie!

Im sure its super-difficult to stay disciplined when you're visiting a whole other country and its even harder when you spending time with friends and family you never see because you live thousands of miles apart.
Dont beat yourself up too much about this. You have been very active during this vacation, so the weight gain could have been a lot worse!
liza36 on 06/22/2012:
It is extremely tough to be completely strict with yourself when you are traveling. You've been active which is great and I'm sure will have helped more than you think. I know you'll get back to 100% dedication when you arrive home, so no worries. Travel safely home.
thinkpositive on 06/22/2012:
You always seem to get back on track after your trips. I'm sure you will this time as well. Have a good trip home.
TheMother on 06/23/2012:
Try to remember that you're on VACATION and you do not eat like that normally. Since you still have a couple of days before you head home, try to slacken off on the goodies and slowly ease yourself into the "old" routine. I think this will make it a little bit easier to get fully back on the bandwagon once you're home.
