Well, it's nearly 7 am and I've been up since 4.30 and awake since about 3.30.  Hate the time change when coming back home! Hubby was awake as well so we both got up and had breakfast.  He went back to bed after about an hour though.  So I've had breakfast, started a loaf in the bread machine, put a load of laundry in.

Our electric is now full power!!

Thanks for all your comments!  I got on the scale this morning and it says 2 pounds less than yesterday morning - 133.6.  I've lowered my goal weight a pound as 132 feels good.  So that shouldn't take long.  I tried to buy new bras in the US but couldn't find any to fit! The clerks thought I was insane when I said my current bra is 32FF but I needed a 32F now.  No point in going to an expensive specialty shop as it would cost more than going back to John Lewis in the UK.  So when I hit 132 I'm getting refitted and will also get a new workout bra.  No more underwire though!

Plans for today are to finish unpacking and to do a workout.  Haven't done weights since I left so will get in a lighter workout.  Got a yoga dvd now so will also check that out.

We got an email while we were still in the states inviting us to dinner Saturday night.  It's with the couple who give you many courses and lots of wine.  I wish I'd said no to going this week as we really need to get back in our time zone first.  Hope we don't fall asleep at dinner!

Menu: (hmmm....since I had breakfast 3 hours earlier than normal I wonder if I can wait until after noon for lunch?!)

B:  porridge and blueberries (porridge tastes so much better here than the oatmeal in the US!)

Hungry!  Toast with marg and jam

L:  fried egg sandwich

S:  2 clementines

D:  salad, curry & rice, drink

S:  apple and hot chocolate

Lots of teas and water

TOTAL:  1296  1456

Progress as of today: 34 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

I am sure by next week you will be adjusted to the time change..Hey i think that you did wonderful maintaining during your holiday :)

getmebackto150 on 01/06/2012:
ugghh... I HATE time zone changes, it always takes my body at least a week to get back on track!!! Yay for weight loss!!!!! Glad to hear your power is back at full strength! have a great day:)

Umpqua on 01/06/2012:
Yeah for getting your power back! I hope you adjust to your time zone quickly, I know that's tough. Have a good one!

moogy on 01/06/2012:
Yay!! for the weight drop and the electricity (that was pretty quick!). We have the same porridge here as in the UK, I love it on a cold morning, sticks to my ribs and warms me up:) I hope that the weekend provided you the opportunity to catch up on your sleep:)

Thanks for all your nice comments, ladies!    We are home! However, our area had 100mph winds the day before we arrived and a lot of damage has been done everywhere.  Power is out to about 20,000 people and ours was out when we arrived home.  It came on later but is still not at full voltage so things aren't working right.

Fortunately we have a gas fireplace in the living room so we did finally warm up and we have a gas hob on our cooker so were able to light it and cook.

Our roof has 84 year old heavy ceramic tiles on it and many blew of and broke, so now we're dealing with the insurance company and are in a long Q for an estimate behind all the others who had storm damage.  Sigh.

Don't remember what I ate yesterday at the airport or on the plane. This morning I had porridge and I need to go shopping but what I get is limited - no frozen, no yogurt, no lunchmeat as the fridge isn't at full power.

Got on scale this morning and it said 135.6 but with fluid fluctuations may not be accurate.  I'll do it again tomorrow morning.  I'm sure 2 -3 pounds is what I need to lose. Changing my goal weight (again!) to 132.

Progress as of today: 34 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!

V on 01/05/2012:
Sorry about your roof :( Stay warm Annie <3

Umpqua on 01/05/2012:
Sorry about all the storm damage, those ceramic roof tiles are so beautiful (I've noticed them in your photos). My weight is always up from fluid after plane travel....hope you get full power back soon!

liza36 on 01/05/2012:
Glad you are home safe and sound. That's terrible about the damage to your home, and reduced power. Hopefully it's all resolved soon. I'm sure you've got fluid retention from the long flight. I always do. Have a good day!

supercheese on 01/05/2012:
Wow. 100 mph is crazy!! I hope the storm damage wasn't too bad. I need to go shopping too.

getmebackto150 on 01/05/2012:
glad you made it home safe.... 100 MPH winds WOW! Sorry to hear about your roof:( 2-3# is not bad at all!!! Have a great day!!

~WI~ on 01/05/2012:
Yikes on the weather! Glad you made it home safe and I hope the insurance work is completed quickly and power is full blast soon! Hope you enjoyed your time in Michigan, at least we had milder winter temps this year! :)

moogy on 01/05/2012:
Nice welcome home!!!! I hope all is returned to normal as quickly as possible. I am glad that you can at least keep warm and cook, thank goodness for porridge!!!

thinkpositive on 01/05/2012:
Sorry to hear about the damage to your roof. Good that you have at least partial power. Not a great way to return. Hope things improve quickly.

Going home today!  Well, at least taking our first flight, then it's hang out in Amsterdam and arrive tomorrow morning.

Awaiting us at home in Scotland is high winds which did a lot of damage to our area.  Hoping we didn't lose a lot of tiles off our roof! They aren't cheap!

NewBeginning on 01/03/2012:
Have a safe trip home :) We just had the high winds where I live (South-East England) and though we don't usually have many extreme stormy winds it was wild! It didn't help that it was pouring with rain as well... The worst only lasted a couple of minutes though and then it just decided to rain... and rain... and rain... and then it was extremely sunny and actually got pretty hot! The randomness of British weather... :) Anyway, Sorry because I've been babbling but I really do hope nothing too serious was harmed and have a good flight home :)

Umpqua on 01/03/2012:
Happy and safe travels to you!

Uh oh.  Wasn't good last night.  I've become more and more indulgent the longer I've been here.  I needed to stop and remember the pleasure of trying on those smaller clothes.  Mexican food last night as my son's family was visiting brother's house after a basketball game.  I could have been good but wasn't.    Funny thing is I feel the weight gain in my boobs - not waistline.  My brother's scale says I was 135 first thing this morning but don't know how that compares to mine.  If it's accurate that's 2 pounds over my goal weight, although I was about 132 when we came and lost about 4 pounds when I was sick - although it was half fluid I'm sure.

I've eaten all the porridge so had 2 clementines and 1/2 banana this morning.  Time to stop being a pig!  I will have either a beer or glass of wine tonight after dinner as we leave tomorrow and I won't treat myself for at least 2 weeks.

Thursday morning I'll get on my scale at home and adjust the tracker as needed.

Never asked anyone to take a photo of me while we were here - I should have.  So I'll do an 'after' photo when we're home and get back to 133.

Hope all of you are doing fantastically!

Umpqua on 01/02/2012:
I still think you did well considering the challenges you faced there. Looking forward to your after photos, and I hope you have a safe journey home if I don't catch you tomorrow morning!

Happy new year ladies!  The longer we've been here the more I've indulged.  Yesterday I was good until after dinner.  Had a beer, a glass of wine, champagne, and some chocolate meant to be eaten with wine.

I've washed my gym clothes so don't intend to get on treadmill today. Tomorrow I'm meeting an internet friend for lunch.  We leave for home on Tuesday and although the new smaller clothes I bought when we arrived have not become tight on me, I feel I've got at least 2 or even 3 pounds extra.  So it's going to be 1300 cals per day for a couple of weeks at least.  No biggie!

Hope you all made it through the holidays without much 'damage'.

Feeling guilty.  Don't know why I did it but last night I had some of the leftover cake from the restaurant for brother's birthday and put some of that awesome ice cream on top (2nd serving!).

Going to be good today.  Having porridge and raisins for breakfast, smoked turkey sandwich for lunch.  No idea what the plans for dinner are.

Getting on the treadmill for an hour as soon as this porridge digests.

Happy new year!!  Stay safe if you go out partying!

Hi lovely ladies!    Hope all is well with everyone.

Got on the treadmill for 30 minutes, quads still sore from that killer spinning class.

Was a bit of a pig yesterday at dinner.  Pizza night and I had two huge thick slices of cheese pizza when one would have been enough, and two pieces of bread sprinkled with parmesan, and greek salad.  Glass of wine and a beer.

Breakfast today was a whole wheat English muffin with a small amount of peanut butter.  Lunch was smoked turkey on wheat bread with full fat mayo as they don't have any low fat in the house.  A bit of dark chocolate.

Our usual routine is my brother and his wife go somewhere overnight for their anniversary and we watch the kids - well not really kids anymore as one is nearly 18 and the other nearly 13. Tonight we take the two kids out to Mongolian BBQ and I will try hard to be good and only do one serving, but those unlimited warm tortillas are hard to resist.  Will have to watch the 2 kids eat gorgeous desserts and I won't have any.  Last year we did the same but I ate a giant dessert.

By the 2 week mark I'm very ready to go home to my own bedroom and kitchen and stuff in its in own spot in the bathroom. We've been here 2 1/2 weeks and go home on Tuesday on an overnight flight.

My youngest granddaughter

Wishing you all a very happy new year and may 2012 be your best year ever!!

Oops, was good at Mongolian BBQ - had one serving of stir fry, 2 torilllas, a beer.   However, on the way home we picked up some ice cream and I chose Ben and Jerry's Kama Sutra with vanilla, chocolate, chocolate chips and a thick caramel centre.  Pure bliss!!  Not stressing.  2 weeks at home at 1300 calories and I'll be where I want, I'm sure.

OMG!  I just did a spinning class.  My sis in law signed me up to join her in a class.  Talk about burning a zillion calories!  Never did it before and I did have to sit quite a few times instead of stand but still kept up very well.  Wish they had this near me at home.

Big birthday party last night at restaurant....I had one of the onion rings that were appetizers, one small bit of calamari, a beer, a glass of wine. a salad with very little dressing, and main course I had salmon and spinach.  The mashed potatoes are made with butter and cream so I had them leave it off. (patting self on back).  However, the restaurant is known for their fabulous baked goods and I had a slice of my brother's luscious chocolate birthday cake.

So far today I've had 2 bananas, one before spinning, one after and no idea what I'm eating the rest of the day.

Hope you are doing well!!

Spin Class so rocks!! Hey so I am hoping that you can find a Body Pump class at your local gym, but if not, you can order it through me, it includes everything that you need :) Anyhoo Hope that you are having a good day!!

I love your screen name! I got a papi-poo from the shelter recently and her name is Annie! My mom sometimes calls her Annie Oakly and says things to her like, "Annie, get your gun!" Sometimes I think of Little Orphan Annie. And Ann is also my middle name as you can probably tell from my screen name. I see you are at your goal weight. Congratulations!

Supercheese on 12/30/2011:
Spinning is fun!!! The only classes they have at the gym though are during work so.....BUT it is fun!

Hiya girls!

Everybody doing well I hope.

I ate a bit too much at dinner last night and had been feeling just a wee bit heavier in my belly.  I'll still be happy if I just have 2 pounds to lose when I go home next week.

Getting on the treadmill this morning as soon as my porridge is digested.

Hi ladies!  Hope everyone is healthy and happy!!

Not doing bad with food but I did have 2 glasses of wine and a beer yesterday.

Got on brother's treadmill for an hour today and feel so much better after two weeks of no exercise.

My new size 8 trousers all fit the same so I guess I'm fine.
