4 weeks from today we begin our journey to Michigan to see my granddaughters, my niece's wedding, warm/hot weather, a week at a Lake Michigan beach, shopping for cheaper American stuff including new Asics, gym outfits!
Goal is to be 129 lbs before we go. I've changed my weight listing as it's been consistently 132 recently.
Progress as of today: 34.6 lbs lost so far, only 2.4 lbs to go!

Rest day but did do all the housework I didn't get around to yesterday. I was busy researching which android to upgrade to.

I completely ran out of steam yesterday and was unable to do my home exercises after the gym. So I'm doing them today. I do struggle to do them after my 1.5+ hours at the gym, even after lunch and time to rest and digest it. But there doesn't seem to be any other way to do it. Since small muscle work should not be 2 days in a row, don't know what else I can do. Maybe I can split them up as legs are not small muscles so I could do the squats, lunges, leg lifts with ankle weights on non-gym days, and do planks, dumbbells, pushups, abs and dips with weight on gym day. Hmm...will experiment with this and do a bit of research.

Hiya ladies! The sun is shining! Had a great gym workout! Still have my home exercises to do but feel very tired now. I suppose I could wait and do them tomorrow as I've got no workouts Sat or Sun except housework and maybe a walk.

Hiya ladies! Went to spin class this afternoon. The daytime classes are only 30 mins long and since they only began this week it wasn't extremely tough. I've signed up for next Thursday doing a 12:15 - 12:45 and then the 1:00 - 1:30. Got a big compliment from the instructor at the beginning of class. She was writing out a slip of paper to tell us our target heart rates by age and when I told her I was 60 her eyes got huge and she said 'you're 60?!' like she found it hard to believe.

Hello ladies! Back from Inverness! Saw my hubby's first grandchild, an adorable wee boy named Mason. So that's 3 grandkids between us now. As for eating, well...... I won't mention what I ate and drank.

Edit: at the gym today I discovered that the spinning classes have begun. All the daytime classes are only 30 minutes though. I was hoping for at least 45 but those are all around dinner-time and I'm not going all the way into town at that time. Anyway, signed up for a class tomorrow.

I'm going to have to stop baking!!! I could not keep my hands out of those yummy granola bars yesterday! My husband really liked them as well and kept dipping his hand into the container as well. This is quite a compliment as he doesn't behave that way. So I've put the box back in the laundry room on a high shelf as having it them in plain view in the kitchen was a disaster.

Got lots of little re-organizing projects to do around the house, so will be busy with that. Might get on my exercise bike later though. I'd like to power walk but the clouds outside are quite dark.

Hiya ladies! Made some granola bars yesterday and they are good, but not low cal. Thought they'd be good post workout snacks after the gym. I'll post the recipe in the forum but it's in metric and really not sure how to convert it.

Hi ladies! Thanks for your comments on our anniversary and trip! We had a very nice time. Spent yesterday in Stirling and visited the castle and the newly refurbished royal palace. Took some pics but I'm not done sorting them yet. Here's a building I liked in the town centre and a royal potty chair. LOL.
I've slipped back into the bad attitude of thinking a trip away from home gives me a license to pig out. I've got to change that before the upcoming trip to MIchigan for almost an entire month! Decreasing the calories for at least a few weeks. Would be good to have a 'credit' of a couple of pounds before we leave the end of May.
Husband bought a tagine which is like a clay slow-cooker. They had them in Morocco and they made everything tender and tasty. So he's making us some chicken breast with potatoes, veg in a sauce tonight.

Moogy mentioned that we must really like veggie curry, and it does look like we eat the same thing nearly every night. Hub is the cook and doesn't use a recipe. The ingredients he uses varies and does/can include: onion, peppers, aubergines (eggplant), courgettes (zucchini), chickpeas, marrowfat peas, other beans or lentils, green beans, potatoes, sweet potato, cauliflower, broccoli, Quorn mince or pieces, tomatoes, mushrooms, various spices and seasonings, garlic, etc etc.

Yes ma'am, I am one proud Momma!!! I can't believe time as gone so quickly. My daughter was so excited to see me yesterday - she kept calling me skinny minny! She said she is even more excited because when she starts to have wedding parties she knows I won't be frantic about what to wear. She really made me feel good about myself. I know you will not only meet your goal, but look stunning at the wedding in Michigan. I enjoyed your pics from the other day. They are very soothing. Have a great week!
