Happy Saturday, ladies! I took your suggestions and put my shrunken white capris into a cold rinse cycle then stretched them as much as I could and hung them up to dry. Wore them today under my sweats (too cold to wear them alone!). They now fit pretty well. If I gain very much on our trip I could be in trouble, at least with the capris!
I'm a list maker so besides my usual packing list I've made a list of everything that is going into my checked baggage just in case it disappears, so I'll know what's gone. I don't trust the cheapie airlines (Easyjet). Anything of value always goes in my carry on.

Keeping the calories low this weekend, then again on Weds when we get home, also on Thursday and on Friday before we leave for hotel airport. After that.....?? Most of the time I do find myself thinking 'is it worth it?' when I look at something fatty/high calorie. The answer is almost always 'no'.

Okay. I've been bad. Aside from all that wine and champagne the other night I also a chocolate frenzy yesterday. I ate the last two soy chocolate puddings with all the rest of the dark chocolate chips mixed in!! Also had a piece of hubby's yummy brioche.
I stupidly washed my new white capris (100% cotton) and put them in the dryer for too long. They still fit in the waist but are tight in the butt. Still packing them. Scale went up from a low of 129.4 to 131.2. Not that I'm a slave to the scale. Keeping the calories low while I'm at home. Visiting friends Monday and Tuesday and coming back home Weds morning. They promised us enchiladas and margaritas for Monday night. Friday we head for airport hotel.

The gym will be closed for a few days after we come back from our trip so I can't (re)join until March 12th. I am SO ready to join. Getting really bored with my home gym.

Well, dinner at our friends was fun. Food-wise I was pretty good - salad and pate, small piece of garlic bread, steak, homemade chips, veggies, a small piece of cake. The calories were in the 2 glasses of very nice champagne, then the countless glasses of wine - until 1am!
Hubby still got up at 7.30 this morning so I'm short of sleep and have zero energy. Supposed to be a full workout day.....no gonna happen.

I've worked out a toning routine to do every other day while we are away. It works out to about 15 minutes - wall pushups, lift leg back and side for glutes, squats, 2 standing abs exercises, and leg lowering for abs while still lying in bed.

Didn't get a chance to read diaries yesterday as going into Glasgow is a long trip - drive, ferry, bus. More on the swimsuit disaster..... because I have a big bust I had to look for suits with support and big cups. This severely limited the selection. I still have a lot of excess skin on my sides under my arms and around my middle. So a tankini with the right size cups was too tight around my middle. The tankini shorts have no elastic in the legs, they just hang, and so does my butt....right out of the shorts. Fine. It would have worked with the bikini bottoms, but the tankini tops were too tight. Tried one piece but the swimsuit makers assume that if you have big boobs you must be big all over. The only option I had where a top and bottom would fit me would be a bikini. Umm.....no. I looked good in a bikini when I was 40 - which was 20 years ago! I'm keeping one or two tankinis in mind that I'm hoping will fit properly before a beach trip in June. Just need this excess skin to tighten up some! Or get smaller boobs!
Too many calories yesterday! My husband's brioche is soooo delicious! Very small slice of it today.

Home from big city shopping trip! Couldn't find a tankini or one piece (no bikini!) that fit me right. Even the tankini shorts had my bum falling down out of it. Don't have much bum anymore, but what I have droops. Guess I need to do about 50,000 more squats and other glute exercises. I could only try on the swimsuits that were by cup size as I'm busty even though I don't look it in clothes. Note to self: never go shopping for swimsuits wearing ill-fitting bikini knickers and right after lunch so your belly is bloated. Ack!! Well, I don't know if I would have gone swimming in Morocco anyway as it won't really be hot, maybe 75 tops. I have a lot of work to do before I'll be swimsuit ready in June for our beach trip to Lake Michigan.
Anyway, got 3 v-neck tshirts for working out when I join the gym next month. Got a pair of white capris that fit really nicely. Got a lot of knickers. Some are extra soft, some are no VPL, 1 pair is belly control and butt lift.
Workout today was walking, walking, walking through shops, down the street going from shop to shop, etc.

Happy Sunday! Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement! I'm sure I'd still be struggling if it wasn't for DD.
Tomorrow I'm planning on going into Glasgow to look for a tankini. Also can apply for my free bus pass for OAPs (old age pensioner). Can't use it until my birthday but will take it with me to Morocco and use it when we arrive at the airport. I love FREE but I certainly don't FEEL old.

My hubby reminded me last night that I had volunteered to babysit today for friends. So I checked and the grandparents decided to visit so no babysitting. Yes, I'm relieved. The kids are young and wild!
So back to my original plan for today. Hubby is off to a day long politics meeting so on my own. Yesterday turned into a totally lazy rest day for both of us although I intended for it to be housework day. Today is full workout and then housework. Might make wholemeal scones later.

I didn't feel especially energetic when I got up this morning, but I found my workout extra easy - I just flew right through the cardio and did high speed jump rope. Maybe this was from having a total day of rest yesterday.

I'm thinking about taking another trip into Glasgow to look for a bathing suit. Our villa in Morocco has its own pool and I'd hate to want to swim and not be able to. I've realized that I have no choice but to buy a tankini (NOT getting a bikini!). If I get a one piece with a big cup size then the rest of it will be too big. Tankinis are sold in separate pieces. Hmmm....wonder if I can find tankini bottoms that will do a serious lift?! LOL.

My trainer has done a lot of ab work with me since day one (about 10 months) and I have noticed A LOT of improvement with my core. I used to struggle with balance on the BOSU ball at the beginning, but it barely moves now. Push ups and planks are pretty easy now too. I love it!
So, it sounds like you will have plenty of room for a few indulgences on your vacations. Good for you! :)
