Hi ladies!
Scale said 131 this morning. I think I'm going to stick with 1300 cals today and go up to 1400 tomorrow and very gradually go up and see what happens.
I've discovered that the villa our friends booked for all of us for our Morocco trip for my birthday the end of Feb has a pool. And I've got no suit! I really don't want to order one online and have to return it. And they aren't in the shops here yet.
My workout today is doing all the housework instead of doing bits and pieces of it throughout the week.
Menu:
B: porridge & blueberries, tea with milk
L: 1 egg, polenta fried in 1 tsp oil
S: yogurt, 2 clementines
D: veggie curry & basmati rice, salad, drink
S: apple, 1/2 Kit Kat
Lots of teas and water
TOTAL: 1304
Just got online to check out one of my favourite department stores and I see they are having a big sale. Included are bras and swimsuits! It's the train into Glasgow tomorrow for a shopping spree! Woohoo!!
Progress as of today: 35 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!
Good day, lovely ladies!
I'm sure I've lost some muscle weight as the number on the scale seems lower than I feel I am. My belly is not as small as it was and neither are my boobs. So it's lower calories for a while. Since I could not find bras that fit in the US I'm looking forward to going back to the John Lewis store to get re-measured. I won't buy too many bras but at least one workout bra and one or two for everyday.
I'm happy with my yoga dvd as instructions are clear. At the beginning of the dvd is an ad for a pilates dvd. Noticed some routines that look really effective. It's a US dvd so would cost a lot to ship so I might just look on youtube for clips of a few of routines.

I'm looking forward to my birthday trip the end of Feb! I think I'll drag out the clothes I'm going to bring there - capris, dresses, skirts. There's nothing like trying on clothes to keep one motivated!
Progress as of today: 35 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!
Good Sunday, ladies! Hope all is well.
My hubby is fine now, just a bit tired.
Scale said 131.6 this morning. Nice, but I'm a bit suspicious that it could be muscle loss during nearly 4 weeks of no strength training. But I'll up the calories to about 1400 for now and then experiment to find my daily calories for maintenance.
No workout today as I went shopping this morning and planned to do power walking this afternoon but it hasn't stopped raining. Checked out my yoga dvd and it looks very good. Think I need to work on one posture at a time.
Menu:
B: porridge & tea
L: rice cakes, pbj on toast
S: grapes & 2 clementines
D: beans & rice, salad, drink
S: 1/2 Kit Kat, hot chocolate had 2nd half of Kit Kat instead
Lots of teas and water
TOTAL: 1412 1468
Hope you have a good week there!
Hi ladies! Still knackered! Didn't workout yesterday as I was too worn out with the laundry, unpacking, and lack of sleep.
The thing about the usual oats--even the "old-fashioned" is that they're already cooked--they're steamed in the process of making them, so cooking the daylights out of them is something I just don't do. For me it's convenient to have them most of the time, but I definitely like the texture of the more "whole" steel-cut type.
Hope you all recover from it all! Cheers!
Well, it's nearly 7 am and I've been up since 4.30 and awake since about 3.30. Hate the time change when coming back home! Hubby was awake as well so we both got up and had breakfast. He went back to bed after about an hour though. So I've had breakfast, started a loaf in the bread machine, put a load of laundry in.
Our electric is now full power!!
Thanks for all your comments! I got on the scale this morning and it says 2 pounds less than yesterday morning - 133.6. I've lowered my goal weight a pound as 132 feels good. So that shouldn't take long. I tried to buy new bras in the US but couldn't find any to fit! The clerks thought I was insane when I said my current bra is 32FF but I needed a 32F now. No point in going to an expensive specialty shop as it would cost more than going back to John Lewis in the UK. So when I hit 132 I'm getting refitted and will also get a new workout bra. No more underwire though!
Plans for today are to finish unpacking and to do a workout. Haven't done weights since I left so will get in a lighter workout. Got a yoga dvd now so will also check that out.
We got an email while we were still in the states inviting us to dinner Saturday night. It's with the couple who give you many courses and lots of wine. I wish I'd said no to going this week as we really need to get back in our time zone first. Hope we don't fall asleep at dinner!
Menu: (hmmm....since I had breakfast 3 hours earlier than normal I wonder if I can wait until after noon for lunch?!)
B: porridge and blueberries (porridge tastes so much better here than the oatmeal in the US!)
Hungry! Toast with marg and jam
L: fried egg sandwich
S: 2 clementines
D: salad, curry & rice, drink
S: apple and hot chocolate
Lots of teas and water
TOTAL: 1296 1456
Thanks for all your nice comments, ladies! We are home! However, our area had 100mph winds the day before we arrived and a lot of damage has been done everywhere. Power is out to about 20,000 people and ours was out when we arrived home. It came on later but is still not at full voltage so things aren't working right.
Fortunately we have a gas fireplace in the living room so we did finally warm up and we have a gas hob on our cooker so were able to light it and cook.
Our roof has 84 year old heavy ceramic tiles on it and many blew of and broke, so now we're dealing with the insurance company and are in a long Q for an estimate behind all the others who had storm damage. Sigh.
Don't remember what I ate yesterday at the airport or on the plane. This morning I had porridge and I need to go shopping but what I get is limited - no frozen, no yogurt, no lunchmeat as the fridge isn't at full power.
Got on scale this morning and it said 135.6 but with fluid fluctuations may not be accurate. I'll do it again tomorrow morning. I'm sure 2 -3 pounds is what I need to lose. Changing my goal weight (again!) to 132.
Progress as of today: 34 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!
Going home today! Well, at least taking our first flight, then it's hang out in Amsterdam and arrive tomorrow morning.
Awaiting us at home in Scotland is high winds which did a lot of damage to our area. Hoping we didn't lose a lot of tiles off our roof! They aren't cheap!

Uh oh. Wasn't good last night. I've become more and more indulgent the longer I've been here. I needed to stop and remember the pleasure of trying on those smaller clothes. Mexican food last night as my son's family was visiting brother's house after a basketball game. I could have been good but wasn't. Funny thing is I feel the weight gain in my boobs - not waistline. My brother's scale says I was 135 first thing this morning but don't know how that compares to mine. If it's accurate that's 2 pounds over my goal weight, although I was about 132 when we came and lost about 4 pounds when I was sick - although it was half fluid I'm sure.
I've eaten all the porridge so had 2 clementines and 1/2 banana this morning. Time to stop being a pig! I will have either a beer or glass of wine tonight after dinner as we leave tomorrow and I won't treat myself for at least 2 weeks.
Thursday morning I'll get on my scale at home and adjust the tracker as needed.
Never asked anyone to take a photo of me while we were here - I should have. So I'll do an 'after' photo when we're home and get back to 133.
Hope all of you are doing fantastically!

Happy new year ladies! The longer we've been here the more I've indulged. Yesterday I was good until after dinner. Had a beer, a glass of wine, champagne, and some chocolate meant to be eaten with wine.
I've washed my gym clothes so don't intend to get on treadmill today. Tomorrow I'm meeting an internet friend for lunch. We leave for home on Tuesday and although the new smaller clothes I bought when we arrived have not become tight on me, I feel I've got at least 2 or even 3 pounds extra. So it's going to be 1300 cals per day for a couple of weeks at least. No biggie!
Hope you all made it through the holidays without much 'damage'.

Feeling guilty. Don't know why I did it but last night I had some of the leftover cake from the restaurant for brother's birthday and put some of that awesome ice cream on top (2nd serving!).
Going to be good today. Having porridge and raisins for breakfast, smoked turkey sandwich for lunch. No idea what the plans for dinner are.
Getting on the treadmill for an hour as soon as this porridge digests.
Happy new year!! Stay safe if you go out partying!

Anybody going with you have an extra bathing suit your size? Or can you borrow one?? Any second hand stores have them there? You may not want to wear someone else's suit, but I probably would-just some ideas??? Anyway - I am not happy about housework being my exercise lately - but it will have to do. Where I was not at home for so long - the house is in bad order. I want to make sure I am not using it as an excuse to not do other things. I don't think so, because I would much rather be doing something else.

LOL!! The muscles are getting pretty big, strong and defined, and i still have a bit more to go..Just like losing the weight these things take time and I have the time, dedication and will..I spent far too much time on getting to that number on the scale instead of putting the focus on what truly matters(going hard at my workouts) Thank you for all of your kind words of love and encouragement :)
