Woke up feeling a bit better. No sinus headache and I don't remember waking up coughing during the night. My nose started to block up while having breakfast so I took a couple of Sudafed, now it keeps running! Will have to miss my massage this morning but hubby will go for his.
Tues evening we had a short heavy downpour but since then it's just showers during the night. Sky is blue today. The pool will be warmed up now so will go for a swim midafternoon when there is some shade on it. Might go for a walk on the beach as well. Don't feel 100% of my energy so nothing strenuous.
Gym on Monday and I need to get on scale everyday. Will try for no beer at least on Mon - Fri. My bikini tops are tight and uncomfortable.

L: veg fried rice w/bacon and 1 egg, iced tea
D: walked down the coastline again about 1.5 miles to the resort where my gym is - happy hour. So Philly cheese steak and fries, 3 beers.

Started day with sinus headache! Argghhh. Coughing, runny nose. So having a rest day. I might have pushed myself too much by going on that bike ride at lunchtime in the heat yesterday and then that long walk along the beach to dinner and back (about 2 miles). I hate this because after all this horrid rain we are getting mostly sunny days and I can't fully enjoy it.
Unless I wake up tomorrow a lot better, I'll have to miss my massage. I'll send hubby on his own.

L: chicken wrap, mango smoothie, 1 carob chip cookie (was planning on a veggie omelette and fries but that restaurant was closed)
D: stayed home, sent hubby out for dinner - cheddar on crackers, apple, maybe yogurt

Oh, so I was reading this post on fb from an athlete, her name is Camille and she’s a major athlete here some info I just checked out about her – wow she is SO YOUNG! - Camille Leblanc-Bazinet (born October 10, 1988) is a Canadian professional CrossFit Games athlete. She is the female winner of the 2014 CrossFit Games. She is also an accomplished weightlifter, having qualified for the national championship for weightlifting in Canada.
Anyways, she posted something in regards to the fact that if you haven’t failed, you haven’t pushed hard enough – and she has a video with it – showing her attempts at lifting this huge barebell with heavy weights above her head from a squat starting point…and she has to drop it several times and she falls backward but she keeps trying, and she does eventually get it….practice makes improvement…and it makes me feel better.
All because your body isn’t feeling good this morning doesn’t mean that yesterday was too much…and it doesn’t mean not to ever try again…but yeah the combination of weather and everything may have not been right for you….just take your rest and keep on girlfriend!

Oh, try not to let the weather destroy your happiness….Mother Nature has certainly affected us in NY so differently compared to the past couple years of crazy cold and snow…been so mild and nice this year…better weather does make us feel bad, you will have to work harder now bc of the rain to stay positive lol….sorry!

I think I didn't feel good as my body needed rest to recuperate and I didn't do it. I know you should do light exercise when you have a cold or flu, but that was not light. And it's in the heat so I sweat then sit in front of fan or AC and get chilled.
Rained last night but today is sunshine and partly cloudy. Went for a bike ride - 5.5 miles. Still have cough and runny nose so no gym yet. Hope I'm better by Friday for my massage! Can't get massaged if you nose is running!

I hope you feel better soon. It’s def best to rest when you have a cold, in my opinion, so you can spend your energy getting better faster. I also hope the sun stays out for you! We’ve now got a slight winter “heat wave” going on & most of the snow melted with the heavy rains last night. NICE.
More rain even though forecast was for sun. Since it wasn't a nice day we decided to drive to the immigration office to extend our visa so we are covered for Feb. Crowded but only took about an hour.

One of our neighbours has lived here for 11 years. He said this is far more rain than he has seen in his entire 11 years. Parts of Europe are having a record cold winter. (global warming).
Nonstop nose blowing, some coughing, but otherwise I think I'll live. LOL. Rain early this morning, then sun, but more rain expected tonight. Tues - Sun forecast is sunny every day. We'll see.
No exercise. Soon I hope!

Feeling a wee bit better than yesterday but horrible when I woke up. Weather forecast has changed, of course. Suppsed to be sunny today and all week. Nope. Now they say Tuesday the sun will return. Having a very lazy Sunday. Hubby didn't go to church because it's always flooded in that area. Watched a nice BBC programme about Thailand. Made me want to expore areas on the mainland.

L: around 2 or 2:30 we'll go out - thinking the pasta, herb, veggie, tofu and paremesan dish and we'll pick up our loaf of bread for the week (good stuff - equivalent of $7.80 a loaf!)

Really hope I make it back to the gym soon!! And bike rides. And snorkeling. And swimming.

Got a cold - sore throat, stuffy nose. People don't seem to get colds here, so must have got it from a tourist. We aren't often indoors - all restaurants are open air. So lazy day, stayed home all day.

Rain again. No gym. Rain was too heavy. Lighter now, just showers. Thanks a lot Global Warming! Not good this week. Good workout at gym Monday, long bike ride Tuesday, but that's it. Crossing my fingers the forecast for next week is accurate.

Lol what kinda vacation are you on! sounds like you are livin' in Seattle but with flooding! oh my!
fried rice with bacon must be To-Die-For-Good!
Fried rice at the right restaurant is great. Some make it too greasy, but not this one. Many options as well, bacon, ham, pineapple, egg, etc. And always has lots of veggies n it. The bacon is meaty, like British, not American style.
Heavy downpours all night. Husband didn’t go on bike ride. I didn’t go to the gym, not even in the car. I figured roads would be flooded.
I really need some motivation. So I’m thinking it could be for my 65th birthday next month. We leave the island the day after my birthday, so I was thinking the goal should be for when we stay at a 5 star resort for 2 nights a few days before my birthday. Anything below 150 lbs is a reasonable goal.
Weather nasty for next few days, but Sun, Mon, Tues have great forecasts - calm waters, sunshine. Perfect for taking a boat trip and going snorkeling.
