You need to get your points down again, Herbie! Too many snack type foods there...try having some unsweetened apple sauce, with a sprinkle of cinnamon, instead of an ice cream sandwich. I know you can do it! Get back on track, and get those pounds on the run.

Nothing today. It was a beautiful day although I didn't leave the house till 5:30. Stopped at Grand Union, and got V8 juice, and Progresso soup.

The dinner at the Camera Club was OK, and a little tearful. Amelia and Bob stepped down from their offices and Eileen took over as president. They both were getting a little teary at the front table. Sometime during the evening Phyllis called to talk to Amelia. Well the three of them started the club 7 years ago, and now for one reason or another they're having to turn the reins over to new people.

What a gorgeous day. Ronnie showed up precisely at 1PM to take me down to Ritter to get my vehicle back. Unfortunately I was running late because Brendan called me, and I was on the phone with him for a half hour.

Ritter had the truck parked outside, went in and wrote out a check for $192, wished them well, and was on my way. Ron left because he had his own errands to do. Had lunch at Marco's, then went to CVS for Ventolin, but when I got home I found that the script was written for the generic form that is called albuterol.

Oh it was such a warm day, it was in the 40's. Snow is melting. Got out to the truck at around 11, and got some of the snow off, and then started up the grey mist. Headed to Ritter's without any problems. Pulled up, and they took me right away. The first thing that "Don" did was to get off all the snow with the use of a hot water hose. Don is a new guy, he is replacing Tom who left Bob's employ about 3 months ago to work for a trucking company in Palenville. Bob & Don came to the conclusion that I needed a rebuilt alternator. They took it out, and Bob took it over to a fellow who hand-builds alternators in his one man shop.

Ronnie appeared in the shop, he took a seat and waited for me to finish talking to Don, Bob had left already. Ron & I went to Price Chopper for a few items, and we had some coffee, and bagels in their little dining area. When we came back to the shop Bob had come back, and I told him that I would come back tomorrow, and pick up the truck. The reason that he was able to accomodate me was that he had 5 cars in the shop but they were all waiting for parts.

We left there for the Donut Connection because Ronnie wanted to thank Russ for finding someone to fix Ronnies garage door. When we arrived Russ was talking to a white haired fellow with a leather jacket. Turns out this fellow was the former CFO of the Astoria Savings Bank, and Russ told him that Ronnie & I had worked for ABC for some 30 years. Turns out this guy was the banker for Leonard Goldenson the President of ABC, who passed away about a year ago in Florida. Goldenson was a very nice guy, and a charitable one. He had a daughter with Multiple Sclerosis, and they devoted their time, and money to this disease. Toward this end they created the charity for this disease, and also started the yearly Telethon with Dennis James to publicize this disease..

Ronnie took me back home, and I went to bed for a nap. Before coming home we drove along the River Road, and the Hudson River is frozen over, except fo a small channel for the big boats to go North to Albany.

WAHOO - Heat wave - break out the swimming suit! We got some sun here today and people at work were practically sitting ON each other in the break room to get a spot by a window. Ahh the joys of Minnesota winters. Why do I live here again?
