Yesterday wasn't too bad.  I ate at the luncheon, but did not overeat - mainly a roll and chicken, a few bites of chocolate cake .  Ate light last night soup and cornbread only.  Didn't get to walk.  No diet drinks yesterday.  Water and tea only.

OK here goes - I'm going to try keeping my food diary again!

Wow, I have to come here to tell you I think you were right! (about the self-sabotage thing) After 5 days of eating Halloween junk, I'm almost positive I freaked out b/c I hit the 149ish mark. (Going under an increment of 10 always is a big deal for me, like weighing 160, then hitting 159.8. So finally seeing it happen after almost 18 months, I think I freaked out I tried to ruin it. Sorry, I haven't been on here much, but then read your comment and tried to dismiss it. Then I thought about it more, and think you hit it bang on. So thanks for that!

Hope the new month brings new motivation for you!

Weekend wasn't too bad.  I ate heavy some meals and very light others and I think it all balanced out.  Right now I am shooting for balance.  My back is better some days, but still having some pain.  Not nearly as bad - each week gets better.  I did some work on othe yoga ball and walked two times.  Husband's cousin's came.  It was a good time.  They didn't want to hike or sight-see, though.  I was kind of disappointed in that. Daughter got back from Las Vegas in one piece, whew!  Wishing everyone a successful week - one poster on here said she feels there is so much potential when I new month begins - let's all think about that and live up to our potential this month!  I'm going to try!

Update (afternoon):

B:  Banana, Activia, herbal tea 170

L:  Hot dog, Bun, chili and slaw, Nutty Bars 525

Two high calorie days in a row....Thanks to lofthouse cookies and halloween candy at the office.  I don't remember there being all this stuff around last year!!  Having a chili pot luck lunch at work today.  My job is interfering with my goals.  I think I will have to resign! LOL!!!  I will do better today.  We are having company all weekend - husband's cousin and his wife.  I am cooking and that probably means eating, too.  Oh, well, I will make my goal to just stay REASONABLE and leave it at that as well as get as much exercise as I can .  These next few days do not forecast how most of or the rest of my life is going to go.  I am in charge.  I can make wise or at least OK choices.

Thank you Hollybelle! *hugs*

good idea to stay reasonable. obviously, you can't try to be too strict with a diet when company is in town. it's a sacrifice but at least it's only one dieting weekend and not all month! :-) have fun with company!

Yesterday was a HIGH calorie day.  I went to the racetrack (it's very nice here-Keeneland Race Track ) with one of the insurance carriers and they have a wonderful buffet.  I did OK on the buffet, but they also have wonderful bread pudding and I had a whole serving of that.......Oh well, today will be better and I did enjoy it yesterday.  I did all my exercises on my yoga ball and walked 2 miles (in the almost dark in the park with husband and dogs last night.  I also did 75 jumping jacks in 25 count intervals throughout our walk so that I could burn extra cals because we didn't get to do the 3 miles.  My back feels so much better.  YAY!

Yesterday as OK.  I ate 1 1/2 lofthouse cookies!  A sales rep brought them to the office.  Otherwise ate pretty well and within range.

I went to the UR What U Eat class at the chiropractor's office last night.  It was interesting, but if I really listened to everything he said and took it to heart it would drive me crazy.  I know our food source in the US is very suspect with regard to additives, what we eat in general, but my goodness - this guy was talking no refined or artifical sugar, no milk products at all, no gluten, and only organic fruits and vegetables.  I would spend my entire day obsessing over what was in what I was eating and being basically torn up about it.  I know the US gives into the food industry on what they approve the is probably guilty of approving a bunch of stuff that is not good for us, but geez!

Not too bad yesterday.  Walked for 50 minutes with husband and doggies.  Ate pretty well, only a cookie in the afternoon that was not "advisable".  Could have been worse.  Tonight I go to U R What U Eat class at the chiropractor's office.  Last week the On the Ball yoga ball class was good.  I have been doing some time with the ball almost every day.  Core is getting stronger, I can tell.  abs were mondo sore this weekend, but OK now.

Hey what happened to caterpillar?  I miss her.

Did Ok during Birthday weekend.  It was hard not to endulge some.  I ate about three big meals, but did well at time other than those 3 meals.  I also walked two time - 3 miles or so each time.  I began my yoga ball and weight training.  Just a little of each to start and I'll add more later.  The yoga ball is EXCELLENT for the core training.  WOW a little bit goes a long way!

Still doing "OK".  I have been going to chiropractor for 2.5 weeks 2 X per week.  It is really helping.  only have pain in shoulders and  neck now.  Going to a core training class tonight at the chiropractor's office.  It's called "Get On the Ball" and is taught with those big yoga balls.  May be interesting.  He does the classes free to patients and has some others on nutrition and stretching.  Never too late to learn something new.  I'm going to go and see if I can learn something at these classes.  I have been walking every night at least 40 minutes - sometimes more......my back feels so much better I am walking faster and faster......YAY!

Went to the chiropractor today.  Got Xrays and discussed goals.  This guy is very holistic and is right downstairs in my work building. I go back this afternoon for results of xray and possible first adjustment.  I hope this helps.  He has fitness class a few nights a week and is also a personal trainer.  So I'll check that out.  I need to do the right exercises to stregnthen my coe and hold up my good posture.  This back injury has shed some light in some shadowy places.  I hope I can do better for myself and soon!
