Yesterday wound up with around 1450 calories.  Not sure what to day will hold.  Husband coming back from Detroit this afternoon.  Have some tulips to plant - purple and yellow.  The same as ones already have - but evidently something happened to them.  The green parts came up, but they didn't flower.  If anyone knows why - let me know......may have to google.

Want to share good news - MIL's first post-treatment scan came back cancer-free!  Next one in 3 months - so keeping the prayers going!  She started feeling better about 3 weeks ago....

B:  Iced vanilla coffee, blueberry granola 400

L:  Beef Stew, water 400

S:  LF Ice Cream Sandwich 140

D:  Small Salad with 1t dressing, roll w (little)butter, 1/2 8 oz sirloin (didn't like the seasoning they put on it at Logans Roadhouse - yuck) it was cooked correctly, though,  1/2 baked potato with T butter and T sour cream, water 630

Total calories:  1570

Having family room carpet cleaned tomorrow so must vaccum well and move furniture tonight.....

Progress as of today: 13.6 lbs lost so far, only 14.4 lbs to go!

Puddles on 04/24/2013:

Had an unplanned absence from DDs this weekend - I'm back.......

Walked on Saturday and Sunday - see pictures of the dogs at the creek on FB, if you want - They are posted to my timeline.  I may repost them or "share" them later....

I did OK on eating.  I didn't track everything but ate mostly healthy stuff all weekend but didn't really try to keep it at 1500 or less....I'm sure I didn't keep it under that on Sunday, but I may have on Saturday, anyway.  I am back dedicated to getting to my goals and staying there today though.

I didn't ride my bike due to a physical issue I am having that will go away soon.  Don't mean to be cryptic, but to tell all is TMI in this case!!!!   Now your imagination is running wild, I'll bet - LOL!  Nothing serious, you can rest assured.

I put on my "usual" brown pants (dress ones for work) and they are much looser than last week - so something must have gone right for that to be the case!

B:  Iced Vanilla Coffee, two biscuits and jam - 375

L:  Biscuit with BBQ, steamed cabbage with a T of real Bacon Bits, Blueberry granola for dessert - 550

D:  More BBQ and biscuit, strawberries, tea  250

1375 calories and walk with dogs......2 mi

Progress as of today: 13.6 lbs lost so far, only 14.4 lbs to go!

Supercheese on 04/22/2013:
aww how the issue goes away! whatever it may be lol

congrats on loser pants!!

hollybelle on 04/22/2013:
Thank you, but FYI - my pants are not losers! LOL wink-wink!

getmebackto150 on 04/22/2013:
I hope you have a good monday! And great job on the looser pants!!! Woo Hoo!!! Totally worth a celebration:)

Puddles on 04/22/2013:
Loose pants great feeling. Have a great day.

grannyannie on 04/22/2013:
You're doing well on the calories. Hope your 'issue' is resolved soon so you can ride your bike. Good news on the loose pants!

OhioRaven on 04/22/2013:

Ended yesterday with 1550 calories not much exercise - didn't totally update yesterday's menus - in favor of saving time.

Today I made wonderful banana nut strusel muffins.  Not too much sugar and not too much fat for muffins - if I had used WW flour they would "almost" be healthy-ish!  The over-ripe bananas were calling out to me "make me into muffins"!!!

B:  Two banana nut strusel muffins, iced coffee 500

I did find yesterday that when I ate a bigger breakfast I didn't get as hungry late in the day and didn't have to eat dinner as soon as I walked in the door after work.....So maybe this will pay off.

Husband out of town Sat  through Wed and I usually do well when I don't cook "for him".

Oh, yeah - I am going out to dinner tonight with a girlfriend and then to see Dream Girls at the theatre.  Husband got me the tickets for Christmas - I probably wouldn't have got them for myself, but will probably enjoy the evening. It sure beats watching all the drama and sadness on TV!  For goodness sake!

Praying for all those affected by the super-tragedies this week (Boston & West, TX).  You know, though, things are happening to someone each day - all around us - but these super tragedies really focus us.  If you are NOT having a really tragic time in your life right now, take a minute and thank God.  If you ARE - ask Him to be with you through it!  Our President (not to be at all political - like the Pres or NOT) said it well, yesterday, at the service for the Boston area - (2 Timothy 1:7) For God gave us a spirit NOT of fear, but of power and love and self-discipline (self-control).  It brought tears to my eyes when he (or his speech writers - I believe it was probably the Pres) chose one of my personal life verses to use in his speech (not that it he did it "for me" but it was so meaningful to me).

Have a good day and God bless you all, my DD buddies!

Ended the day with around 1400 calories and a 2 mile walk.  Foot is not doing that well today - but it's better than it would have been a month ago if I'd walked 2 miles - so I think that is improvement.

B:  Two pieces of cinn raisin toast, iced coffee and I ate a cupcake at work - sad, too - it wasn't that good, but I'll work the calories in and learn a lesson from it.  What I think I want isn't always as good as I think it will be.  450  WOW!

1550 calories  Not much exercise except stretching and 5 minutes kettle ball

Progress as of today: 13.6 lbs lost so far, only 14.4 lbs to go!

Puddles on 04/18/2013:
Your making progress with your walks. congrats. Stuff always taste better with our eyes and once we eat it was not as amazing as it looked. Leaning curves. Have a great day.

hollybelle on 04/19/2013:
Yes, a little more motivated. My heel hurts so much. I didn't walk again last night. It's hard to find stuff to do that I don't use my heel - cycling and kettle bell is all I'm doing that doesn't seem to bother it further.

getmebackto150 on 04/18/2013:
Don't you hate it when you splurge and it ends up being not that good, that is the worst!! have a great day:)

hollybelle on 04/19/2013:
Yup, hate it! Live and learn,, I guess! It's almost never really THAT good, I think. But I still go for it!

V on 04/18/2013:
Sorry the cupcake wasn't even worth the calories.Be strong tomorrow girly!!

hollybelle on 04/19/2013:
Yeah, me, too and I will perservere! Mark is out of town from tomorrow afternoon until Wednesday night and I usually do really well on the days he's not around expecting things like breakfast, lunch and dinner! Ha-ha! THANKS

Wound up eating a piece of lower sugar apple pie that daughter made for husband and a small glass of skim milk later last night so ended up with around 1400 calories yesterday.

Made a roast I got on mark-down at the grocery for less than $7.00 in the crock pot last night so we will have that for dinner tonight with left over squash casserole and mashed potatos.  Seasoned the roast with a mixture I got from FB - one of those recipes everybody has been posting....it was and envelope of brown gravey mix, an envelope of ranch dressing mix and an envelope of italian dressing mix and a cup and a half of water - well- it is delicious!  We don't eat much beef except for ground beef, but thought it would be OK once in a while.

I have church group tonight.  It is pouring down rain here right now and has been thunder storming all night off and on.

B:  Ice Vanilla Coffee, biscuit with sausage 260

L:  1/2 turkey & cheese sandwich 180

S: 2 LF WW waffles with jam 240

D:  roast beef, and mashed potatos 400

S:  LF ice cream sandwich - 140

1320 calories - but apparently I was craving sugar

2 mile walking with dogs and husband

L:  1/2 sandwich 230

D:  Bowl of cereal and smoothie 500

Didn't go to work - stomach just off off off-Yuck!

Update:  feeling some better - took an acid reducer and seems to have finally helped.  Wish I had thought of it earlier!!

Worked out in the yard getting the old leaves out of the bushes, pulling weeds and cleaning up a bit. I couldn't get the leaf blower started so I couldn't finish completely, but almost......

Yesterday was OK wound up with around 1500 calories.  Slowly but surely, I HOPE!  Did a short 10 min kettle bell workout.

Didn't do much yesterday other than finish up some laundry, go to the grocery and hang out with the dogs.  Plan to rake the left over leaves out of shrubs and do some general clean up of the yard tonight.  Husband will mow for first time tonight.  Want to get it ready so I can begin to put out flowers in pots this weekend.  May be a little early, but I'll be all set.  Husband will be gone the next two weekends so want to get started before he leaves on those two trips.  Also may squeeze in a very short bike ride.

Fish for dinner along with  probably squash casserole and one other side - brussel sprouts, maybe.

B:   iced vanilla coffee, 2 pieces of cinnamon raisin toast, 290

L:  Lean Cuisine Salad Additions - Asian (1st time to have this and it wasn't bad) 280 + 3 Cups of salad greens 40 = 220 plus LF ice cream sandwich 140 = 360 Total for the meal

S:  1/8 C dry roasted peanuts, 10 pretzel squares = 150

D:  squash casserole 100

S:  two biscuits with jam 300

1200 calories

Hi, Holly. I think you're right about the pollen. I haven't checked any websites but you're the 2nd person who said it was through the roof. Tell the Hubby to keep that mower on the grass.

Puddles on 04/15/2013:
you are having nice weather - Have a great day

pinkpoppy on 04/15/2013:
That yard work will burn some calories:) I like yard work but usually leave it all to my husband now b/c too busy with kids and LAUNDRY! My husband does the flower pots and it always looks nice but as most women would do a collage of color across their front porch my husband puts one plant of each flower in each pot so they are all the same:) I just smile and am appreciative that he will do it all:) Have a Great Day!

Tangalyn~ on 04/15/2013:

biscottibody59 on 04/15/2013:
I looked back, and I mowed for the first time last year in Feb. My mowing excursion of the other day was the first for this year. I don't know what it means for the summer, but the weather's weird--haha!

Good going on the KB workout--I was thinking of that type of workout a couple of weeks ago. Do you feel like you get a full body workout in?

hollybelle on 04/15/2013:
I think it's a good workout for spending 10 minutes. As far as really targeting small muscle groups - probably not - at least not the way I do it. I would like to do a more intense KB workout, but never get around to it. There are some good KB videos on Youtube and there are also some crappy ones. You will know right off which are which....I use an 8 lb KB. I use it for a little pick me up and do mostly upper body strength to help me with riding the bike. The only other thing I do is for abs and some for thighs and butts-kind of swing squat things.....

legcramps on 04/15/2013:
Love the first taste of yardwork, it just means summer is on its way! Have a great time :)

Yesterday was around 1500 calories and 15 mile bike ride.

Star Gazing was good.  We saw the moon, jupiter and 2 of it's moons, The double star in Leo and a galaxy of stars that was just amazing.  It was cool out, but we were dressed appropriately.  Got home about 10:30.  It is humbling to think that the same God that cares for each one of us - you and me - created that vast universe of stars and planets and he knows the name of each of those planets and stars just like he knows each of our names - and ALWAYS will!

B:  Iced vanilla coffee, 2 biscuits with jam 400

L:  biscuit w BBQ 250-300

S;  Sm vanilla soft serve cone 150

D;  most of 1/2 a turkey, salami cheese sandwich, a few grapes and 1 C Amy's tomato bisque soup 500

S:  granola bar 140

hollybelle on 04/14/2013:
Yes, it was a perfectly clear night - very cool experience. We had done this once before about 8 years ago, but it was a bit cloudy that night. It is an amazing universe that God has created. Looking at the sky like that really makes one feel small - hey that's a good thing, isn't it?

grannyannie on 04/14/2013:

Did ok yesterday - about 1600 calories.  Went to bed early and slept almost thru the night until 7:30.  Beautiful day today.  Mid 60s.  Going for a bike ride when husband gets back with my truck so I can take it somewhere and see different scenery.  He is taking our older lawn mower to daughter and SIL.  More room in the garage - YAY!

B:  Iced coffee and 1 egg with a little dubliner cheese and 2 LF WW waffles with apricot jam  -YUM 450

L: biscuit with pulled pork and 2 T BBQ sauce, protein bar  450

D:  corn, mashed potatoes, side salad, corn muffin  600

Total 1500

We are going to Raven Run Nature Sanctuary tonight at 8:30 to participate in Star Gazing.  Have done this before - the University Amatuer Astronomers set up their telescopes and anyone that want to come can come and look at the stars a little closer.  There is no light out there so we take flashlights and chairs and walk into the field....it's fun and free!

Georgeous day!  Rode 15 miles-cool wind, but sunshine made it OK.  Was going to ride a few more, but I pulled a bone head move and almost vered over to turn left in front of a car coming up behind me.  Didn't see him or hear him!!! My bad.  It was in a neighborhood and not on open road AND he was thankfully going slow and actually watching for me and I was merging slowly, too.  He tooted his horn and all was fine, but I felt like a dum-dum!  I hate cyclists that don't watch out better than that!  Apparently it can happen to anyone, I guess.  I think the wind in my ears made it hard for me to hear him coming up although I did look back before I began my merge and I sure didn't see him.

Will update later.  We will probably go out to dinner somewhere very casual tonight.  So I will have to be careful with calories the rest of the day.....to keep it between 1200-1600.

Progress as of today: 13.6 lbs lost so far, only 14.4 lbs to go!

grannyannie on 04/13/2013:
