(Healthy Eating and Exercise)
Weight: 0.0

Yesterday was a good food day - I ate a little more than I have been  - but only a little and healthy food - except I had a little piece of chocolate late in the day.  Still not bad.  I will eat healthy today.  I will exercise tonight.  I didn't walk Sat or Sun.  Was too busy with household chores. I did left weights for about 10 minutes Sun.  Better than nothing.  All upper body.

More later.

I hate my job I hate my job I hate my job!  That is all I have to say about that (picture shades of Forrest Gump on that part)

Anyway - food was good:

a few bites of chicken sausage and sauerkraut - I was too pre-occupied to eat.

I am eating dinner as we speak - I took a plate of 5 small meatballs and a cup of cooked spaghetti.  I don't think I can eat it all.  May eat 3 of the meatballs and 1/2 the spaghetti.  I don't really have an appetite right now - stress.  How stupid is that?  See paragraph 3 above more details.

Cereal and 1/2 banana

Husband is not feeling well.  Went to the Urgent Care walk-in clinic in the neighborhood.  Got some anti-biotics.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/21/2016:
Sometimes a little chocolate hits the spot - is just what you need to stay on track :)

hollybelle on 03/21/2016:
Yes, indeed!

grannyannie on 03/21/2016:
I got some chili dark chocolate today. I don't feel so guilty when it's dark.

hollybelle on 03/21/2016:
That is my favorite - the Lindt, I think???? I love the chili. That's good for you too!

marshallsaya on 03/21/2016:
I have one square of dark dove chocolate every night. It's my antidepressant :)

hollybelle on 03/21/2016:
Good deal!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/22/2016:
Btw, my mom, a naturally thin woman, always keeps chocolate in her house. And takes a bite / piece here and there when she wants it after a meal or between meals :)

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/22/2016:
the stylist yesterday suggested I can even get a hairpiece that's lighter than my hair color as it would be darker my natural hair pulled back but the piece a little lighter as that's the style also :)

hollybelle on 03/22/2016:
Sounds like a plan, HOP. keep us posted.

I finished up yesterday pretty well.  Cooked for food ahead for the next few days, but only tasted stuff and didn't really eat dinner per se. No exercise except shopping and house work.  Shampooed the family room carpet.  Big job! I can really tell that I have lost some weight - much more comfortable, middriff  not as prominent, clothes fitting better.  Husband and I will walk the dogs today - it is chilly. Spring is here  -  blooms are popping everywhere.  Have to clean bedroom and baths.

Baby girl and daughter stopped by today-this morning on what home from grocery store.  Daughter brought me some flowers which I arranged in a vase.  They look nice.  Although they live in a different town, it's only about 7 miles down the road and the grocery she goes to is in between our homes.  Very convenient.  They may come back after they come home from church.

Food I made - chili with beans, salsa, sauerkraut with chicken sausage and apples. chicken salad and have meatballs cooking in spaghetti sauce in the crock pot.

Food today so far:

1/2 egg - baby girl ate the other half!  3 slices of bacon Tea

1/2 C chili with 2 T cheese tea and lemonade, 3 bites of chicken salad

More later

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/21/2016:
Wow you cooked everything but the kitchen sink! nice. Sounds delicious but I can't say I've eaten anything homemade and with similar recipes to yours. Can you take photos! Sounds delicious. What prompted you to make the sauerkraut with chicken sausage & apples!? sounds so unique a dish!

Have a nice day & enjoy your time with family :)

Today I have a lot of housework to do.  May have baby girl later today.  But probably will be tomorrow. Husband is going to Covington to see his parents   That should give me time to clean.  I am meeting an ex coworker for breakfast at Pannera.  That will be challenging.....I am probably going to have a bagel and cream cheese and coffee.  If they have healthier choices I may be able to avoid all that bread, but it's good to have a treat sometimes.  We'll see.I am not going to stress about it.  I will work in some exercise - besides housework - if I have time.  If I don't - I will tomorrow. The weather has turned cold again for the whole weekend. Expecting rain today and tomorrow.

More later.

I did good at the Panerra.  I had OATMEAL 340 calories and coffee.

Lunch was two more very small pieces of pizza left over from last night.  I had Cereal and banana for dessert -  Nature''s Path - Flax Maple and Pecan.  Very good.  Full now - going to take a short break and begin cleaning the house/cooking.

Lunch witll be out at restaurant - will be salad and soup, I think.....

More later.

Lunch wound up being two eggs, potatoes and bacon

Dinner was two very SMALL pieces of pizza- from a personal sized pizza.

Not the healthiest food today - but did a 3 mile walk with husband and dogs before dinner.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/18/2016:
Very healthy dinner. and nice exercise. I am just starting up with my cardio again. Still I find I need EXTRA recovery from it. More than most people.

For instance, if I walk a mile one night, I don't plan on doing it again for a few days at least after! (I want to do it more, but my body is JUST getting used to being more active doing cardio!)

hollybelle on 03/18/2016:
it can be so weird like that, HOP - husband and I did same walk two nights in a row and the 1st night a big hill seems tough. Last night we laughed all the way up it!

marshallsaya on 03/18/2016:
Sounds like you had a great day :) except for work LOL

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/16/2016:
yeah, I was thinking you didn't do too badly at all! I eat bananas frequently, too.

hollybelle on 03/17/2016:
Bananas are so easy to pick up and go with in the morning.

marshallsaya on 03/17/2016:
It doesn't look like you did to bad. I love cereal with banana, that is one of my comfort foods.

Monday at work was OK.  I am doing my best to get by for how ever long I am there.   '

Food was OK - ate a little too much after dinner due to stress Girl dog is ill - husband took her to vet.  Said she has GI infection either bacterial or viral - gave her shot of anti-nausea and antibiotic drugs and antibiotic pills to take for several days.  She is already better.  I had to make her boiled chicken and rice!  She ate it and has kept it down for several hours now.  posting this at 1:00 am!

Tea, apple, yogurt pretzels (10)

coconut chicken tender (1), cauliflower, asparagus, toast with jam

cereal, 1/2 banana, milk

15 almonds

I guess it wasn't too much all in all.  It felt like a lot.  Pretty healthy - the toast and jam was dessert.  I have cut back on sugar a lot - but it's still there.  That's OK for now - it keeps me from bingeing on candy, cookies, etc.

No exercise, by the time I got the chicken and rice cooked for the dog it was time for Better Call Saul and I had to do some work on line and it was raining!  I will exercise tomorrow.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/15/2016:
awwww, I hope girl dog feels better!

my tip for you - keep very low expectations about the work days that you are there for the remainder. I say this so that you aren't further disappointed. Just take one day at a time & start thinking more about your future. That's what I would do.

grannyannie on 03/15/2016:
Hope you dog is better soon. Your food doesn't sound bad. And 15 almonds is only about 100 calories, and good for you.

I meant to post yesterday but was really busy day - took friend to return a rental car from her business trip and had baby girl - baby Rosalie is still here until 1:00 today!  Giving daughter and SIL a break for their anniversary.

Yesterday was good on food and exercise.

Husband, dogs and I walked almost 3 miles in the morning and I spring cleaned our front yard - almost got the whole front yard done.  Cut back monkey grass and raked what was left of the leaves from under and around shrubs and tress, etc.  Filled about 1/2 the yard waste container.  Then took friend to return rental car from her business trip.  Went shopping for a couple of hours - bought a skirt - bargain - $15!! and some facial wipes.

Food was:

Tea, 2 LF WW waffles with jam

small side salad with bacon dressing

1/2 burger

a few grapes - not much else because baby girl was here and was too busy.

Today so far:

Tea, bacon 4 slices, oatmeal bread toast with jam

I'll exercise more today - maybe a walk - with baby in stroller if it quits raining!  And not sure what we'll have for meals.  Kind of uninspired on menu.

UPDATE:  We decided to split a small pizza and have a salad for dinner.  Husband is picking up pizza.  It's from y favorite place - he has to drive quite a way to get it.    I am not worried about eating pizza - I have done pretty well all week and I hardly ever overeat pizza.  I even split the average sized burger with my friend yesterday - she liked that, too because she is getting healthy too.  She was diagnosed with pre-diabetes and told she needed to change her unhealthy eating habits.  She is someone I would have thought might have ignored the advice, but she has really made changes over the last year.  I am a stress eater, so I am hoping that I can not turn to food over the next several weeks as I transition out of my job.  I am nervous about what will happen.

Has anyone ever worked any temporary jobs?  I have been considering doing that just to have some income coming in.  I am ready to quit and we will be OK financially if I do, but I just can't get use to the idea of not having at least some income.

puddles on 03/13/2016:
Enjoy the baby girl and have a great day.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/13/2016:
awww, so nice of you to give your daughter and SIL a little break on their special day. I hope you have a great day! Sounds productive and nice. !!!

hollybelle on 03/15/2016:
Well, if Donald Trump is elected Pres. Husband and I may pack up daughter, SIL and grandchild and move to Europe.

Canada would welcome you as well, Holly.

Well, interesting day today -my boss resigned.  Gave 30 days notice.  I will probably be leaving in about 60 days.  I have been planning to go end of May, anyway, but thought I might hang on a month or two longer, but this pretty much seals the deal.  I'm gonna leave-bar any extraordinary circumstances.  Boss was trying to convince me to stay and I told her I needed to work 1. and a half-2 months more, but after that I didn't know what I would do - probably leave, too.  Once she is gone -she won't care what I do anyway.  I would like to stay - but our dept does not have the outside resources we need - namely IT help and that is a deal killer for me. It is one of the main reasons my boss is leaving in the first place.  I know she wanted to work another year before retiring.

Baby girl is better - got released ty doc - no more daily visits - she gained a few ounces back and can go back to eating and drinking regular stuff - no more pedialyte Now to get some weight back on her.

Anyway -good food day -

4 saltines with PB

Chick-Fil-A salad with low cal dressing - chili-lime

One caramel

Tonight - not sure - husband and I going out to eat and get a drink.  More later/tomorrow!

UPDATE - Husband decided he wanted Mexican food so we wound up going to a little place we like - had about 12 chips and salsa  -  not bad.....1/2 chicken quesadilla - this place makes them with more finely shredded chicken than cheese and I put a little bit of salsa and beans on top and a tiny bit of sour cream.  had 1/2 a beer, too.  Not really that bad.

I am doing so much better on sweets and I have gotten in a couple of walks this week.  I am slowly getting back to better habits.  I can tell some difference in my clothes.  I happy about that.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/13/2016:
I am sure it will be a challenge to get used to life without working for at least a lil bit after you resign too....but I am sure you will find peace and do what you need to in order to continue to enjoy your life. It's so crazy...when things change in the office completely. Things like that happened at my job as well this year. Unthinkable changes that really turn the place upside down.

hollybelle on 03/13/2016:
We spend so much of our lives working - it's a shame to spend it miserable. So changes must come. THANKS
