______________________________________________________________________

I'm going to try to work pretty steady until 6pm, at least 6.5 hours on this course before doing too much else today.  If i do not finish the assignments before 4pm, i will be spending time tonight to work further on Week 5 as I want Week 5 done today...if week 5 isn't done, i'll finish it Monday but trying to not wait that long on this assignment...edit: i finished week five at almost 11pm. i spent at least a full 8 hours on the work today (with a break here and there of course!) i skipped weights because i really wanted to get the work done and weights will be done early, tomorrow morning, after i sit on my recumbent indoor bike for a few minutes and before i do any more work tomorrow!

______________________________________________________________________

____________________________________________________________

Because it's going to be so hot in the afternoon, I took 15 minutes this morning to go outside to walk around 9am before the major heat comes in as well as to wake my body up.  I'm going to start doing a short walk every morning mostly (like 10-15min) as a way to wake up, i think, for the next few weeks (i know i'll be unemployed basically thru this entire month) so i can get used to more activity, walking in the AM again.

Later today around 6pm when it's still practically 90F, Ricky and I are driving to another town in queens approx. 20 min away for some Indian takeout.  we may eat it outside at a park, but we'll see. i'd rather take it home, honestly, so i have other things i may add to the meal at my apt..but whatever ricky wants i'm not going to stop him :)

i may be paying for the Indian food tonight for both of us...Ricky sould be fixing my bike TODAY :) We bought two new tubes for my bike yesterday as luckily one of the stores nearby had them in stock! And i went ahead and ordered new tires that i'll put on my bike at the end of the season - tires were very expensive, around $35-40 each! but they will be used for several years to come. Tires will prob get here in 1.5 weeks which is why i'm asking him to put the tires on LATER, like end of season or next year. it's just good to have them. I prob shouldn't have even bought them now....now that i think about it!

I'm trying to save money, but also it seems some "somewhat necessary" spending is happening here. I wonder if i'll still be able to collect an extra benefit like i was through this month with unemployment...hopefully so...either way, i'm using the time very wisely now, taking two classes (the other one is starting on Tuesday night, 4 hours online, and it's 2x a week, 4 hours each night, for 6 weeks...i'm glad not to balance my courses with work at the moment!

Progress as of today: -5 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

grannyannie on 07/12/2020:
Good luck getting your bike sorted! I love my bike. My hubby takes care of all my bike stuff so I'm lazy - I just ride it. Good luck with your courses!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/12/2020:
haha, same thing with me! ricky does it all for my bike! and yup, i'm very lazy too with the maintenance. if i didn't have ricky, i'd have to pay at lot of $$$$ for work on my bike!

i'm glad we both have people close to us that can manage our bikes hahaha

do you like Indian food? i will be having some tonight! mostly veggies in different sauces...

grannyannie on 07/12/2020:
Yes, I do like Indian food as well, and Chinese. And Vietnamese.

Horn_of_plenty on 07/12/2020:
ME TOO! but i don't love chinese as much because the sauce is usually so sweet and thick! (here in the US)

Donkey on 07/12/2020:
Ah so now you have the really hot weather I was sweating through earlier last week. It's not fun. So it's a good idea that you went out early for a walk. Plus, that's a good way to get into a routine, so that the first morning commute doesn't come as such a shock.

Oh my word - an evening class that goes for 4 hours??? Who wants to do that? So is it like 6p-10p?

I agree that you are using your time very wisely. In fact, you're in high gear now, as far as time utilization, but I think you've done outstanding in this category during the shelter-down. You remained quite productive - even if it didn't always feel like it. From what I've read, I'm quite impressed.

Enjoy the Indian food! It may be too hot outside to eat out. IDK, when we had our last warm spell, it was just unbearable until around 9p. Then, it was still very warm, but at least you could breathe.

Horn_of_plenty on 07/12/2020:
yup, the course is 5-9 both tuesdays and thursday for 6 weeks. glad i am NOT working at this moment in time.

i don't wanna eat it outside but for some reason as of now ricky is insistant! but he may change his mind once we are OUTSIDE hahaha.

yes, i do need to move around in the mornings so it doesn't come as a shock! because right now, i am NOT used to moving in the mornings and fell asleep after i had breakfast after the walk ! LOL only 15min nap this time as i set my alarm as i got sleepy!

Donkey on 07/12/2020:
PS I asked my biking friend about a patch kit, and she said just replace the tires. Patching is quite tedious and she no longer does it. I know years ago, she did do that. I wonder what she does when she goes on the 20+ mile bike rides... Hm...

Horn_of_plenty on 07/12/2020:
yeah...so about that...i'm thinking to keep my rides in circular paths that i can repeat a few times and never be too far away from home so i can always walk it...then again, i can always bring some money and call a taxi!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/12/2020:
i think i'll rely mostly on a taxi if it happens again! i can afford that if its a rare occurance!

bearcountrygg on 07/12/2020:
Good job with the class work.......You are surely staying focused on that well!!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/12/2020:
sort of...yesterday i decided to take a bit of a break from it :)

i'm trying my best to get the first half the class done fast.

after i finish the first half, we'll see what happens :) thanks BEAR!

 _______________________________________________________

I went out for a bike ride and the tube got flat from a metal piece that pierced it...so had to walk the bike home (only like 20 min walk) with Ricky and I will go out to the store to buy new tubes and bike tires as mine are pretty worn.

we are going to the store because amazon / ebay / facebook didn't have good shipping...then i'll do reading for the course later. i'd rather go out and not start reading right away today. glad i did weights yesterday :)

washing guinea fleeces today :)

starting my work at 2pm :)...but shortly after fell asleep!

worked really only from 4-5:30, 7:45-9:45 with a couple breaks in there. so, 3 hours today, (today was only reading, not working on assignments) decent for a weekend.  a majority of the reading is done, but a few more things need to be reviewed still! i will move onto the assignments tomorrow.

Tomorrow i will be much more focused again on my work. much more than today! and i must do my upper body weights and a little cardio, maybe just do the cardio at home in my apt on the bike is good enough / or bike ride once my flat is fixed tomorrow evening would be good.....

but firstly, i will attempt to finish most of the assignments of week 5 as well as i can on Sunday!

Progress as of today: -5 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

grannyannie on 07/11/2020:
Flat tires are such an annoyance!

horn_of_plenty on 07/11/2020:
Have you experienced it ? What did you do?? Every get a ride from a taxi or friend ?

Donkey on 07/11/2020:
My friend, who is a serious biker, has a small portable patch kit that she takes with her for tire and tube repairs. Comes with a little hand pump. Clips on to her bike.

horn_of_plenty on 07/11/2020:
I may consider this !!!! Thank you! Can you possibly ask her which one she has ?

horn_of_plenty on 07/11/2020:
I went over a metal thin wire of some sort and it poked thru the tire into the tube and when I got home it was still sticking out of the tire - didn’t notice it till I got home and was relaxed with Ricky looking at what happneee! I heard the tube pop !

grannyannie on 07/12/2020:
I've never changed a flat, but hubby will. Had to walk back to a ferry once when he got a flat on an island and we had no spare!

grannyannie on 07/12/2020:
We do carry a patch kit now.

Horn_of_plenty on 07/12/2020:
yes! i may be getting a kit very soon!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/12/2020:
OR, i will just bike within a reasonable walking distance :)

tomorrow will be a new day starting with a bike ride :) then, back to work where i'll be starting the reading for Week #5 & assignments!

________________________________________________________

back to reading and assignments for week #4. my plan is to FINISH these assignments today. yesterday after around 5pm i didn't do much more work for the course but i'm still on track to complete this week today which was my goal!  then, tomorrow is onto week #5.

it's rainy today so no outdoor exercise and i'll get on my stationary bike to get more exercise in today. OH!...i just realized i FORGOT to lift weights yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shoot! i will lift them today, after my assignments. LOL.

worked from around 10am-1pm, 3:30-5:30pm, 6-7pm..., 8pm till this Test 4 is done...taking awhile but not too  hard. ended work at 10pm ..approx total hours worked today: 8 hours! (thank gosh i am not working at a job yet!?)

went on stationary bike so far just 20 minutes DONE

did upper body workout as well as a leg workout because my body was getting really tired of sitting around 5:30pm DONE!

Progress as of today: -5 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

grannyannie on 07/11/2020:
Sounds like a good day! Good to see someone else likes tofu - cooked properly. Ever had Thai Green Curry (as a soup) with fried tofu in it? One of my faves.

Horn_of_plenty on 07/11/2020:
no, never that soup! sounds great!

the tofu in my dish was also fried...i do prefer it not fried...but it was really satsifying!!!!

i was totally craving a non-meat last night and tofu was perfect!

Donkey on 07/11/2020:
I really admire your ambitiousness! I notice your comment about how you spent 8 hours working on this, which again, I admire your ability to focus and stick with it for that long, but then again, we work 8-hour shifts, so why not? Keep at it! You're ahead of the game!

That take-out dinner sounds SO yummy!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/11/2020:
dinner was really, really good! this thai veggie soup is way better than most Asian veggie soups!

yes, it was 8 hours which is a normal workday (but i admit i don't always work as fast or hard at work LOL!)

grannyannie on 07/11/2020:
Try a green curry sometime. Hubby makes it sometimes and I eat it often in Thailand. Has green veggies in a green sauce. Tofu or chicken is how I like it.

Horn_of_plenty on 07/11/2020:
ok, i will try it from the thai place

grannyannie on 07/11/2020:
I've noticed Thai places in the US and UK use a lot less veggies and a lot more meat. In Thailand they are mainly veggies with small bits of meat.

horn_of_plenty on 07/11/2020:
Yup too much tofu and not enough veggies last night ! Now I have tons of leftover tofu but I ate all the veggies between last night and lunch today lol good I have my own lettuce peppers and tomatoes that I can eat with the fried tofu :) totally agree with you

up sorta late, slept in after my alarm..

10 breakfast: life cereal one cup 160 with coconut milk 50. 210. stomach is still upset from the allulose in the low cal ice cream. will be throwing them all out because the ice cream i tried really upset my stomach all night and that isn't healthy for digestion.  The ice cream was called "z0cal" meaning like zero calories!

12:30 lunch: salad 50, over a cup of stewed eggplant, lots of sauce 300? very tasty, chips 150, kombucha!! 60 560 finally im eating some more veggies!!!!!!

3:15pm turkey, tortilla chips 200, gummies 100

 dinner salad 100, burger 250, chips 300 650

1750

 went bike riding in evening.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

decided to go out and get some kombucha before lunch, also bought a small mainated salad and stewed eggplant.

Progress as of today: -5 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

legcramps on 07/09/2020:
That ice cream sounds horrible; i'm sorry you had such trouble after eating it.

I don't know if there are any gravel roads near you :) but gravel riding is a lot of fun - though much more difficult as compared to riding on the road or pathways. If you have a mountain bike or a bike with fatter tires, you've got the perfect vehicle for gravel!

grannyannie on 07/09/2020:
Hope you're feeling better!

bearcountrygg on 07/09/2020:
Artificial sweeteners are often a problem for me too......i would never eat them anywhere but home if you get my drift.

Donkey on 07/09/2020:
^ what Bear said. Those artificial sweeteners can wreck havoc. I kind of wish I had that issue... only recently has malitol in the protein shakes cause me bloating and discomfort. But that's it.

Constipation is my destiny....

Donkey on 07/09/2020:
Nice to see you come back to vegetables!

2:30 small glass sangria (like i said, it should be kombucha, will buy some today!) 150

this very low cal ice cream that later did a number on me, 3 numbers on me- might have to throw the rest of the pints I bought away bc the side effects are too much to deal with and not good to be eliminating so much so fast 100  sorry tmi!

dinner half burger 250, eng muffin with olive oil 250 clementine 50. No veggies as my stomach has already emptied itself 3 times in 2 hours. 550.

____________________________________________________________

Goals for today in terms of assignments:

1. read ch 3 & 4 of doc prep book and write memo, try to finish this by 2pm. NOPE, wasted some time in morning and i'm just beginning the memo at 1:30pm. the goal is to finish the memo by...4pm...finally finished at 5pm.

2. delve into ch 8 & 9 of Statsky - possibly start week 4 assignments

_______________________________________________________________

I actually quite quickly did a scrubbing of my shower today because boy did it need it! other than that, i'm staying home, skipping leg strength exercises due to the ankle and toe issues of wanting to rest them more and not overkill.

I may do another low key bike ride tonight in order to get outside, or, i may just ride my indoor stationary bike 2-3 times today at short intervals, we'll see.

tomorrow ricky and i plan to eat thai food, so, once again, i think my goal today should be the coursework, not going out to get takeout or anything else that is somewhat distracting...so, aside from some internet browsing distractions, i will limit outside errands and stay HOME!

______________________________________________________________

On another note, my hair is growing longer and driving me insane. although i'm not working, i'm thinking to get it semi-permanently straightened by someone who i know who does it by word of mouth from another friend.  I'll do it once i finish the first half to this course, most probably, or i'll wait a little longer...

Progress as of today: -5 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

bearcountrygg on 07/08/2020:
You sure are making great headway with the homework!!!! I know it gets tedious but it will really pay off in the end! Thai food sounds delish...ENJOY!!!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/08/2020:
exactly the same thoughts as you all around...especially on TEDIOUS. i'm sooo looking forward to getting takeout SOON!

grannyannie on 07/08/2020:
Take care of your ankle! You don't want to make things worse.

What is your favourite Thai food?

Horn_of_plenty on 07/08/2020:
usually i don't get the curries, but get dishes of veggies and protein in one of the following sauces: garlic sauce, basil sauce, ... and now i forget the other two options for sauces on the menu! and rice comes on the side. it's so healthy for the veggies and the sauces aren't too thick or sweet!

legcramps on 07/08/2020:
Sounds like a great day!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/08/2020:
yes indeed no worries at all!

grannyannie on 07/09/2020:
I like medium or mild Thai foods. Curries can be mild.

Horn_of_plenty on 07/09/2020:
yes once in awhile i get curry too!

grannyannie on 07/09/2020:
Too much artificial sugar does a number on me! I'm okay with diet pop but something like hard candy with artifcial sugar is like taking a laxative!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/09/2020:
yeah...i'm going to have to throw out the ice cream - like 5 pints - bc i cannot ship them back for a reasonable price. they have a newer type of artificial sugar in them and it caused real problems for me! diarhea 4 times during the night. so i know that's not healthy....so i will throw the rest of what i ordered away.

grannyannie on 07/09/2020:
What kind of sugar was it?

Horn_of_plenty on 07/09/2020:
Allulose

grannyannie on 07/09/2020:
I'll keep an eye out for it. Haven't heard of it. I use Stevia in coffee etc. And then aspartame in diet pop which I wish they'd change.

Horn_of_plenty on 07/09/2020:
i use stevia too. i also wish diet pop would switch to something better like stevia.

grannyannie on 07/09/2020:
I wish diet pop would switch as well. Don't know why they don't. Cost maybe?

Horn_of_plenty on 07/07/2020:
you too, legs :)

Donkey on 07/07/2020:
Wow! Way to go to finish week 3! I'm quite impressed wth your ability to focus and get it done!

So next is reading for week 4 and start writing the memo (maybe?) - is that where you're at? (I feel like I'm living this vicariously, lol)

What an EXCELLENT plan to work on paralegal now, and then take a break for the project management course when that starts.

Are you a notary public?

Horn_of_plenty on 07/08/2020:
lol donkey. thanks for reading into my situation, i hope it's not stressing you out to pay such close attention to what i'm doing ?

yes, you are right i'm now on week 4 and really, really, want to finish week 4 by Friday.

yes, hoping to not be doing two classes during the exact same weeks...want to limit the stress and the paralegal is good and all, but i don't want to have to read for it when i need to do another class! you got it.

Donkey on 07/07/2020:
^ I can't edit my comment, but I think I remember that you are, because you had to test for that. Am I correct or am I losing it?

Horn_of_plenty on 07/08/2020:
LOL you got that 100% accurately, i did take a test (which i actually took 2x the same day in case i failed once, which i did once and passed the other time)...you are def not losing it!

ankle is weak, toe still hurts, so not much on the exercise front but i may go for a bike ride later tonight. :)

home for all of today...really need to finish most of paralegal week 3 today :)

it's 5pm and i have completed approx 40% of the work to be done for week 3, got a lot left to do, will prob try to complete almost the rest of the second assignments out of 3 assignments...sorry i need to write this here....lol...every time i start to work on these assignments, i'm shocked how long they are and how long it takes to complete them!

the assignments take a VERY long time :( .... and i'm nervous because there's another class i need to take for my industry starting in a week. - but good news is this might change / shift.

took a half hour walk around 7pm back and forth to supermarket to pick up some veggies / fruit and to get out of the apt / take a break

Progress as of today: -5 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

bearcountrygg on 07/06/2020:
I know that toe pain...yours looks exacly like mine did...and it took longer to heal that time...also had the bruising on the top of my foot like you....it will be awhile......my ankle didn't hurt though...so you may have twisted yours.....I hit the toe...jumped up and would have fallen if the dresser wasn't there to catch myself.....when you fell that probably made it worse...((HUGS))

Horn_of_plenty on 07/06/2020:
my ankle hurts because it's the other foot's ankle...and that ankle is weak in general. after i hurt my toe, i think i was overcompensating when i walked....and i was overcompensating with my weak ankle...

so the other ankle is just a side note...and makes me realize i cannot just keep walking right now like i want to, while the other toe is so injured! lol

thanks for understanding, it's def a pain!...at least i should be home anyways now, doing my work!

Donkey on 07/07/2020:
Wait until you get into legal research. Talk about time consuming!

You are doing well to get a head start on the assignments.

As long as you are not working, handling another class MIGHT be manageable... I suppose look at it as being back in college full time -?

Resting your foot now will help you heal faster in the long run.

Horn_of_plenty on 07/07/2020:
yes to everything...

i am actually trying to finish as much as i can with the paralegal course so perhaps i can just concentrate on the Project management class when it starts in 8 days. i'm actually trying to finish at least two weeks more of work so i can perhaps just do the PM course...or just do little bits of paralegal during the PM course time...

but yes, while not working, it can be done, especially because i know the first 7 weeks of the paralegal assignments and i'm trying my best to complete them mostly before the Proj man class starts in a week lol lol

thanks Donkey.

Horn_of_plenty on 07/07/2020:
i really want that paralegal certificate !

Horn_of_plenty on 07/07/2020:
also, i want that certificate ON MY LINKED IN PROFILE...and i will keep it up in general when i get it. i cannot wait to say i have a paralegal certificate.

when i'm done with my courses, perhaps i can find somewhere to volunteer at for awhile...like a law firm or like what you do...that would be 2021 goals though, not now at all. or after covid goals.

1850

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

later with ricky I will buy a computer mouse at the store today bc I have been using my laptop more for the class but don't have a mouse besides on the keyboard and my wrist has had enough....so a cheap mouse in order to aid doing work on a laptop for multiple hours at a time.......sort of a waste of money, but good for doing the work, i think. DONE under $10!

also ricky may dye my hair back to my base root color, brown. DONE! so happy about this :)

First and foremost, i'm dedicating most of the day to studying / reading the chapters of Week 3 assignments. I may even be able to start the assignments either today or def tomorrow :)  Week 3 is different, it involves the usual assignments but also the "writing of a memo" or an actual document that paralegals may write.

luckily, weights were done yesterday and i have no intent to do any leg work today either. only some walking / biking should suffice today as my lower body doesn't need to be pushed while toe is healing anyways.

i've decided also to skip laundry (but did wash the fleeces for the guinea pigs today!) for now and there's no cooking or cleaning...concentration is on the week 3 assignments so i can finish it sort of rapidly...rapidly means in 3 days :) therefore, my goal for week 3 is to finish the assignments by TUESDAY night.

Progress as of today: -5 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

Donkey on 07/05/2020:
I think you'll find that mouse to be the best investment for $10 you've ever made, lol. I have a mouse filter my laptop too because sometimes, a mouse works better than the touch pad.

Ricky dying your hair.... very sporting of him.

Do you get any teacher instruction on the paralegal classes? Powerpoints or online videos? Zoom?

Horn_of_plenty on 07/06/2020:
and ricky said he'd be fine to do it always for me!!!! as long as i can trim his hair! :) bonus!

loving the wireless mouse for a change.

hardly any teacher instruction, it is mostly a self-paced and reading on your own type of class. no mandatory sessions with teacher. i missed a zoom the other night, no worries though - not mandatory.

grannyannie on 07/06/2020:
You are so ambitious! How long does your course take?

Horn_of_plenty on 07/06/2020:
the course is 14 weeks and 2 7 week sessions. i hope to finish this session early...not sure if i can start the next session early? i am hoping to save some time.

KathyBlue on 07/06/2020:
Oh, exciting about the shopping and the hair dye!! :) Changing looks can be a boost of confidence and well being :) You rock, girl!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/06/2020:
loving being back to my natural color!

_________________________________________________________

today, i will have breakfast, late one, and do a weights workout. Want to do a little walking or biking outside also. Then I'm going to family in the afternoon for dinner. May not do any assignments today, we will see.

i cleaned up a little bit around the living room, got papers in order, put some paperwork in order a little. cleaned up the desk a bit. refocusing.

no laundry today (that is tomorrow or even Monday).

no reading of the course today until this evening if i want to when i get home from visiting parents / sister / BIL / nephew...no time, i need to also move my body - lift weights, sit on indoor stationary bike i think would be good for today..light exercise.

Progress as of today: -5 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

Donkey on 07/04/2020:
Happy 4th of July! Time with the family sounds splended! A day off from assignments might be a nice break - ? But if you're motivated to read/write, then go for it!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/04/2020:
after doing it straight many hours of yesterday, i tend to feel overwhelmed and like i need to move my body, although i woke up so groggy (i seem to be emotionally tired when i do the class one night into the next morning!?)...maybe i'm just not used to doing "work" anymore!?

yeah, i was relaxing in the morning, now weights, seems not much time to study - and the studying, well, it takes TIME! time and patience is all i need for the course, luckily i have that now!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/04/2020:
enjoy the day with your family too!

grannyannie on 07/04/2020:
Enjoy your 4th.

horn_of_plenty on 07/05/2020:
Ty Annie :-)

bearcountrygg on 07/04/2020:
Sounds like a nice family day....Have a great one HOP!

horn_of_plenty on 07/05/2020:
It was nice to see family !

Donkey on 07/05/2020:
What you wrote at the end, about not needing to recount calories because you knew your choices had been good -- THIS 100%.

Horn_of_plenty on 07/06/2020:
yes so happy not to even have to think about it!

(counting calories/walking/elliptical/weights)
Weight: 115.0

10am, noon also Dunkin' Donuts 650

kombucha 50

early dinner flatbread with no flavor really, maybe partially stale? 250, few slices turkey 50, full pint of blueberries over a large period of time 250, some homebaked sweet potato fries (was ok) 200. 750...lots of health in these foods overall! over a wide period of time like 2 hours while doing some work for the paralegal course...did i eat gummies today? 100

10:30pm snack: cookies, still working (most of afternoon) on week 2 of paralegal. just want to get it done :) 150 - seriously am going to try to finish the first half the course in a relatively short time...should take 7 weeks to finish the first half, gonna try for 3 weeks...will have gummies now too

1850...

I have now finished weeks 1 and 2 worth of assignments in just one and a half weeks, it is still taking long, but i think i have a way to knock it down a little bit!...i am planning to again do two weeks at least of work this coming week...unless i get called to work, which i don't think is going to happen just yet...so i will just keep working on the assignments.

_________________________________________

some walking with Ricky today in the heat. he wasn't too happy :(...now i'm home and going to do some reading..need to do weights later in the afternoon or early evening.

once again, i may skip weights tonight and just continue to work on the class notes - and continue to work on the paralegal assignments thru the night

i might just do the weights tomorrow and deal with 1 day skipped this week of weights :) no worries here.

Progress as of today: -5 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

grannyannie on 07/03/2020:
Mmm...donuts!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/03/2020:
lol, it was a croissant with bacon/egg/cheese...i just wanted bacon but the woman gave me a lot of crud and say i couldn't customize it! LOL ! i always customize it! so i gave up & gave in!

bearcountrygg on 07/04/2020:
Good job on the class work.......are you getting some good info there?

horn_of_plenty on 07/04/2020:
Yes it’s decent for sure :) I can’t memorize it all but I am learning a bit !

Donkey on 07/04/2020:
Are you able to walk long with your bum toe? I'm hoping that this may mean it's sprained or bruised, rather than broken. UGH!!!

What has to happen for you to get called back to work? I'm a little concerned, because I'm seeing COVID cases going way up - maybe not in NY, but yikes....

Horn_of_plenty on 07/04/2020:
re the toe - it's def broken as it's painful still and all, but it's going to heal and i am taping it (i had supplies and everything i need already at home). i can walk on it, but cannot overdo it bc the other ankle is my bad one on the opposite leg and i don't want to be overcompensating. today i'll just use the stationary bike for a change. not much walking, i've decided. maybe walking in the evening. maybe not!

re the job....i'm prob not "being called back" to the same job....it's still up in the air.

i had a phone sorta pre interview with another company that looks ok....but they said they will not be hiring at this moment, which i consider fine as i'm doing the course which is much more time consuming than i thought...if i have to sit out and not get the large unemployment i was getting, well, i'll have to spend some of what i was getting previously then!...

if i don't have to go back to work for another month, i won't be upset...

honestly, if i didn't go back to work until September, i'd be fine with that, too....after that, i'd start getting a little nervous.
