Lookahead! - Thurs, 4/22/21: 

the woman at work who annoys me continues to do so...but to a far lesser degree, somewhat, hopefully it'll settle down even more when i move back to the other part of the office, under construction, i will not see her daily then. i have learned a lot thru a phone call this AM with another person with lots of experience, hired around 6 months before me. he knows exactly what i'm going thru and sees the scenarios all stemming from management and how it's the upper, upper, owner management that has created this back-biter cycle here. at least the person i spoke to- he feels the same; and we know and understand how things really operate.

I removed personal "work stuff" on here ;)  -  I finally moved my work reminders offline...as to a word doc that i can adjust daily for myself instead of on DD; for obvious enough reasons that you could guess - now that i'm organized it's private with me only. i was getting used to my job and thinking about the things i needed to do and they got in here, but this isn't the right place to list work assignments..luckily i have adjusted and now keeping it separate.

Eats: breakfast: banana and coffee with creamers as i ran out of almond milk 200; cream cheese on wrap 200. 400.

snack: choc chip cookie dough keto bulletproof bar i had laying around at work, taste is poor. won't buy again. 200

lunch:cream cheese on wrap 200, leftover thai veggies cooked atop cilantrol greens salad 150; rice (no more rice)or - gummy candy or 240-  mix of both- (may step out to buy gummy candy at cheaper deli i haven't been to yet around the corner (it may have much better prices than the gas station i was going to previously!)...if i do step out, i will prob work a few minutes extra to make up for it; as i have a lot of work to do and know i am not the fastest worker and don't mind working late for myself if just to make up for time stepped out ;) 600

snack: 2 more gummies 50 large size

dinner: thinking to oven bake a cauliflower pizza crust frozen pizza new brand i haven't tried for a pizza :) by the brand Cali-flour with some cut up peppers with some salt / olive oil on the side. :D should be really nice. mcD's: fries and some sauce 350, nuggets 200. 550. gummy splurge 200, some kombucha 50.

no extra cardio during commuting today & massage legs a little with roller at home tonight.

if time permits: ivermectin shots for other two guinea pigs for mites so I can in the future house all guinea pigs together (other affected guinea pig's skin has healed and hair begun to grow back now) ...just need time to do it without other weekend plans too bc it gets to be too much for me if it's a lot of running around and no relax time!

Saturday, 5/8/21:NYC Walking Tour of "High Bridge".  Will take subway in. It was $30 but it's bringing me a learning experience of a place i'm not familiar with and 1.5 hours of exercise. Bring it on!....taking a chance on this, the day after my shot the evening before. I don't want to miss this tour & can relax Sunday as MOM knows i'm getting a shot on Friday night as well.

Sunday, 5/9/21 Mother's Day - parents know i'm getting the shot Friday night before this; so; may go see them the following weekend...that's the good thing about family, we can probably celebrate Mother's day the following weekend....i already gave my mom her mother's day gift on a previous weekend, 4/17/21...so, i do not plan to see my mom this weekend. it's just too much with getting the shot and doing the NYC tour...she knows i love her, i'll call her, and i already give her a gift and told her it was a mother's day gift (two packages ground coffee - 1 from Ethiopia and i forget where the other was from).

I recently discovered peanut butter on a wrap...now you mention cream cheese on a wrap...I need to try that one too.

very satisfying - i ran out of proteins (and didn't hard boil any eggs yet), so for breakfast and lunch i decided that part of both of those meals will be a wrap with whipped cream cheese, just 2 tablespoons. just enough.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa peanut butter!!! :D Cream cheese is perfect too. I love cream cheese and I also do cottage cheese, slightly granulated but still works perfectly fine inside the wrap with fresh veggies and smoked salmon.

and cottage cheese less calories....i keep forgetting i can put them on a wrap too....just a little too liquidy for me at work....but at home, nice option for cottage cheese on a wrap! thanks for the reminder. cottage cheese is sometimes a better option than yogurt...good idea.

lunch: healthy - salad of cilantro 50 need to wash it at work, with leftover chinese tofu and cooked veggies over it 400 tops; remove some of the sauce first bc it's chinese with thicker sauce..clementine for dessert 50. 500 tops...craving sweets but luckily i've got none...like gummies. :) maybe tonight - or wine. never ended up finishing the wine last night; i do not like to drink a lot of wine, it's a waste of cals and i have a low tolerance so i do not need lots.

snack: oatmeal raisin granola bar very fresh! 150

dinner: use leftovers that i crossed out for work lunch tomorrow; do frozen pizza with cauliflower crust and side of tomatoes for dinner. :) maybe with wine or kombucha    leftover two large beef wantons 250, thai veggies in sauce 200, blackberries 150, kombucha 50.650

I’m bingeing on The Good Fight now, a legal drama spinoff from The Good Wife. Preferred Wife, but this one’s interesting too. Like medical dramas better, but have seen my faves multiple times. Always amazes me to see many of the lead actors are Brits, Scots, Irish etc faking American accents & doing excellent jobs. Wonder if they have Americans over there on TV faking their accents.

Lookahead!  Monday, 4/19/21 - 

Upper body in AM - DONE! with no breaks and doing it fast, it's a 30 min routine now, my upper body. but done in the evening, i take breaks, rest, do other things during the workout and it gets longer. by doing it in the morning before work, i just look to do it as quick and efficiently as possible, it's actually just a 30 min routine :).  I do not prefer a morning workout except if there's no other suitable time to do it. This year may include some early morning workouts, but, i do not think i will make it a definite pattern or routine yet for only morning workouts.

Monday Eats:

 2 bananas 240 (needed it, did workout in AM and really wanted to have one at home, was extra hungry at work), coffee 30, bar 230...500..

11am snacks coconut granola choc covered bar love these, inexpensive also. 150.

12:45pm lunch: microwavable healthy vegetarian edamame/quinoa/veggies teriyaki style, 400 clementines 50, black coffee if i want it...diet coke from fridge free while i sit in this location, i'm drinking the free drinks!

snacks: 2 chocs, but, overcounted calories above as didn't finish the banana or bar at breakfast. so, these calories are already counted above, for the chocs.

dinner: leftovers - see if the other half the mix salad is still good?, have with tofu as i'm not in the mood for heavy salmon as the salad is 300 cal on it's own (we'll see if i actually eat it or throw it out), freeze the cooked salmon from Mom before it goes bad.

salad with wanton crispy noodles and dressing few almonds 300, tofu with a little sauce 200, rice 200, some dried jackfruit 100, 800

  •  buy bananas after work at supermarket on the way home - would have prefered to leave work at lunch, buy them, bring them back and leave at work, but, i'm not going to have people say i left and took a long lunch...there's too much craziness still going on at work to deal with more crap.
  • Evening Shower, Bed early tonight, not doing any hw or anything for the course, told instructor i'd do it for Wednesday, need my rest tonight. Hopefully, no OT will be worked today bc i need some rest tonight.  I wonder where my boss is? haven't heard from him this AM and i've been at work almost 1 hour - seems he's working from home today. fine by me!

Finish work for Bankruptcy Course, couldn't finish it all Sunday night, unfortunately, but it's not a priority to be perfect doing this course while working, it's just to learn the material & i did! :)

  • Test 6 - "Bankruptcy Rules" - will hopefully finish this Monday night, turning it in late.

Turn in timesheet with notes on it, do not delete my OT notes - if i have to, keep track just in my emails, fine.

sounds delicious! i used to not want to eat bananas bc they were "high carb and calorie," but ever since i started eating one most days, i have been more regular using the bathroom! for realz.

Always liked them. Need some carbs, never good at keto or all protein, although I do a lot of protein drinks Also cheese everyday.

My PCP says “bananas go both ways”. Meaning helpful as a laxative and to prevent diarrhea. LOL

All Laundry done, will prepare some meals for the week later. Hope to do my upper body, if no time I will do it Monday morning before work just llike Friday, which worked out great. 

I could use some bananas - maybe buy a couple early Monday before work; then go to supermarket after work.

1:30 starting homework:

  • Week 6 Readings for "Bankruptcy Rules" - done at 9pm, then went to shower...hard to read it fast, today. took my time and the time flew by.DONE.
  • BB6 -  Final week Due 4/19/21! cheers! - will do this and then quit for the night on any more work. - finally finished, 11pm, DONE.

Sunday Eats:

early - clementines x2 80, couple ginger lemon candies 20. 100.

9:45am breakfast: 1 pancake from a mix someone gave me and i like it 120, coffee 30, 150...and.greek yogurt w/ berry add in 150., kombucha 50

fell asleep 12ish-1ish...

1pm lunch toasted roll 150, cream cheese 100, lox 50..300..plantain chips and coffee 250

2pm dried jackfruit 100

4pm raspberry dark chocolate 100

6-6:30pm Dinner: i hardly ever get delivery, but, didn't want to leave while still only up to the bankruptcy readings, not even the assignments, around 5:30pm. so i ordered delivery, not many options for close places as my neighborhood is strangely out of many of the restaurant's delivery zones but i found a tasty place and was lucky, the food was quite good as far as Chinese goes with not too heavy sauce and good looking presentation, i thought.  some tofu and veggies in sauce 200, 1 shrimp / veggie fried roll 300, 1 large wanton beef filling 200, i have leftovers for part of this week as well as other leftovers from previous eats in the freezer to cover all my lunches this week. 700, satisfying.

snack more of those gummies not much 50.

I'm a little confused. It looks like a lot of your work tasks on Friday are carrying over to this next week?? That's so nice. It made me think of the time when I worked in Acquisitions at a library. If my work didn't get done that day, that's OK, I could do it tomorrow. Now, with this job, everything is so time-sensitive and client-based.... Thank goodness I don't have to work with anything with litigation, which is always extremely time sensitive.

I'm most busy than i ever was in my life...and i know it's going to continue for the next couple years which is OK. I have learned how to prioritize my own lifestyle needs and how to maximize doing things efficiently in order to take care of my needs while working a lot of hours with a long commute. I'm up to the challenge.

as for you, i totally get the time-sensitivity, my job is actually extremely time sensitive although it doesn't look it...unfortunately, my boss keeps switching the order of my duties...and keeps prioritizing things for March as i'm trying to catch up with end of January and Februrary, so basically i keep falling behind bc my boss is pushing things out of order.

also though, a lot of my tasks repeat each month and take the course of a month, this is why there's a list that i know what's to come..therefore, some of this planning of mine is a "forecast" of my duties and how I see them prioritized. it's unfortunate that my boss isn't on the same page with me (he constantly is behind on his stuff too) and i'm being pushed to do things out of order, saving NO TIME and confusing the heck out of myself and making it so i have a thousand email reminders because everything is done in a rushed manner. i think it should level out once we are caught up and not doing things 3 months late. this is what i inherited, taking over the job in Janaury, it's hard to catch up, especially bc the owner didn't look at anything to pay until end of February...so everything is just delayed and late.

my work is repetitive in the tasks i do each month, but the tasks are different (new paperwork, same idea)...so i know what's due, except my boss and the owner are choosing always to prioritize things earlier that aren't due, ahead of the ones that are. and it sucks!

YES. it involves cooking stove top similar to making jello but less liquid. i once made lemon gummies, sugar free. it can be messy to make. look into it and try it, since you like a challenge.

There’s a sugar free brand called Smart Sweets and I have no problem with them! The whole package used to be 80 calories but I think I noticed a change recently, maybe 120 now? Lots of flavours, really good :-)

Saturday, 5/8/21:NYC Walking Tour of "High Bridge".  Will take subway in. It was $30 but it's bringing me a learning experience of a place i'm not familiar with and 1.5 hours of exercise. Bring it on!....taking a chance on this, the day after my shot the evening before. I don't want to miss this tour & can relax Sunday as MOM knows i'm getting a shot on Friday night as well.

Sunday, 5/9/21 Mother's Day - parents know i'm getting the shot Friday night before this; so; may go see them the following weekend...that's the good thing about family, we can probably celebrate Mother's day the following weekend.

Sunday, 5/30/21:1-4pm Queens Farm Volunteering on the County Farm!

ivermectin shots maybe in late April for other two guinea pigs for mites so I can in the future house all guinea pigs together (other affected guinea pig's skin has healed and hair begun to grow back now) ...just need time to do it without other weekend plans too bc it gets to be too much for me if it's a lot of running around and no relax time! 

Progress as of today: 5 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!

It is not a big company. around 150 electricians, maybe less now bc of pandemic and events like that.

There's around 25 people total in the main office as well as a few other managers (maybe up to 10 of them) mostly working in the field now or from home.

so like 35 people in the office, TOPS. 150 electricians, Tops.

small company, and those numbers in the office include the owners, 3, that work in the office.

i've never been this "real busy" at work in my life. it's nice. one day i hope to be compensated for my work appropriately with a raise.

I did get the walk in, even though i went home late and i needed to notarize a neighbor's stuff, i still had enough time to have a 20min walk and let the neighbor know i'd be over his apt a little bit later. it was good to get the walk in and was a good amount of time, no overdoing. :)

i have so many thai leftovers :) i am not really ashamed that i do not cook, i know there's plenty like me in NYC! i would if i wanted to use my time that way, but i do not right now!

also, i am excited for the work to be done next weekend :) i will then move onto a different use of my time on the weekends and not take any more days off unless something extraordinary comes up during Spring as I've taken a bit of them in March and yesterday. so it's time i come to work everyday :)

oh that walking tour sounds intriguing, let us know how was it! Take it easy after the vaccine though, some people had some effects so if you feel anything just reconsider the exercise if needed.

If i feel really sick, i'll take a loss of $30 and not go on the walk. :) i registered for the walk before i had the date for the 2nd vaccine dose...i will try to go on the walk, sleep after the walk!

i would have to say, there's a LOT of people doing this type of desk job work. I'm glad at least mine is quite everchanging ...there's always work coming in, thank gosh.

for me, work is just to pay bills and live happily enough. :-D

for me work is NOT to get rich off of. i'd never be a good self-boss...i'd never want to own my own company or be an investor, so, i will hopefully learn what i can here at this company, but move forward in the future out of this company!

My brothers does really boring CPA work and enjoys it. He does like all the money! Owns a second house at the lake, boats & takes good care of his kids & grands.

For me, the stock market is to make as much $$$ as possible. I donate bigly to 3 animal rescue groups, one in Africa, one in Colorado and a local cat rescue. Investing is exciting! Bought more EBS today, premarket. Significant dip due to pause of J&J vaccine. Up already. My Moderna stock is doing well too.
