Currently reading a NYPL digital book called "The Energy Bus.

Business Law:

  • Week 5 due 9/29/21...Agency, Partnership, Employment - BB5, Writing 5 - my plan is to do the marjority of the weekly reading on public transport rather than at home.
  • Week 6 due 10/6/21 - Corporations and other Business Organizations ( BB6, Writing 6, Final Exam....same plan, to do the majority of this week's readings on public transport during my commutes, rather than using up time at home.

photo of the keto pb chocolates: they do taste good - a little less empty (i meant MELTY) than regular Reece's but I do like these. Not too many per bag though abs a high price. However they are small and even just having two is only 150

Monday - weights tonight; upper only

Breakfast 350

Snacks none - fast morning

Lunch salad mostly cucumber and iceberg with olive oil and spices 150, part of pork sausage 100, lots of pretzels tasty 300-350. 600 tops.

Snacks black tea with stevia.

5:30 "dumbb" snack instead of preparing dinner. will lift weights before dinner and settle in with my snack: a diet coke but it's called green coke and with stevia. no cals. it's pretty good. tried it from amazon. a few servings gummy vitamins lol 50 this is where i started down the wrong path!, dried jackfruit 100. 150 1 pb cup. 

Dinner - not sure but it's getting late. 7:45pm during workout banana 120, yogurt light chobani pretty good 60, banana dry oatmeal mixed in 110...300

Relating to yesterday's post, how are your ankles/legs feeling today after all of that walking?

a little tightness in left lower leg (back of shin) and ankle but nothing major at all! i do well when i do a lot of cardio followed by a day of rest or even two when i'm working. Saturday was very low key so Sunday worked out well. also, being that my dad did the driving, i was able to relax quite a bit on the way to the destination and back (and then drive home from parents). also, instead of eating dinner with them, i left my parents early to go home and relax. :) doing pretty well. and today is mostly rest day; no cardo.

planning helps me look forward to things and have goals....

but sometimes it does feel overwhelming like it never ends!

i will prob lay back from planning for the rest of the year to some extent.

and in terms of more education, i figure i can save my money and just read books on leadership, etc, as well as the other paralegal topics. i think saving money and not "going to school" is really what i should consider! haha...maybe i've had enough classes for awhile!

planning can help you if there's something new you want to get into. like a new hobby or project...

makes sense you had to plan for your home, yes. any project you do semi-successfullly needs a plan! :) xo

even chobani has began to make yogurt with stevia! finally! it took manufacturers so long to make candy without the other stuff! i do like real sugar, but sometimes it's nice to lessen it and just have the fat.

PHOTO BELOW: Fire Island Lighthouse, it's  open to walk up if you want to, daily. we just went in to see the stairs, but didn't walk up.  maybe another day or maybe never will i walk up it...we walked enough as is ;)


9/19/21 Sunday - out east on Long Island with parents :-) spontaneous plans, lots of walking most probably. maybe some photos taken :)

3 hours in sun.

 9:30am breakfast: keto muffin i made yesterday 200, mixed with oatmeal/almond milk mix 150, coffee 50. 400.

snacks:chocolates 150-200

lunch:2:30 pizza approx 800? - parents and i ate halfway thru our hike/walk thru beach and beach towns. they are very fit to hold up. we walked for around 2-2.5 hours, resting a few times. (i rested the most, ha!)

snack blow pop, diet coke 50 (while driving home, getting gas, picking up a few things at supermarket)

dinner: salad with olive oil/vinegar 100 (just cucumbers and iceberg lettuce - using some things up before they spoil), part of a spicy pork sausage 100, a little more than 2.5 servings everything flavor ritz 250. 450.

1950...will stick with this; have some nice, stevia sweetened seltzer and go to bed around 9pm prob :)

 

 


9/20/21 - Monday Sister's 36th bday! boy does time fly! (celebrating earlier? on weekend?) see about it.

 

Not much pre-planning to come....unless i start making plans with family/friends...i will sign up for another course after finishing Business Law. there's, i think, 2 months rest period between courses when i take them with Center for Legal Studies. so that's good.  Overall, i have enjoyed all of them except 1. I have had all different instructors.  All were good, except 1. I have, to date, had 4 different instructors. so that's great that all were great except 1 - hard to communicate with and course didn't include multiple courses of instruction like videos, etc, just a textbook and then the final and exams weren't even off it only...lol. all other courses taught exactly what they should have and i attained a lot of knowledge from taking part ;)

Will be trying to lessen days off and wait to take them until real Winter, as in January...if i have to take one or two before then - ok, but i don't think i'll have to.

9/18/21 Saturday 9am-10:30am - Volunteering Cleanup @ Plumb Beach, Brooklyn Area.   Decided not to drive there. wasn't in the mood for a sorta longer drive or to volunteer. slept in a little more....

Rather than cardio, I will do weights, upper and lower, today; possibly a cardio break today.  I have a dentist appt on Tuesday at 6pm, so would rather just rest after that (hence doing weights today and again on Monday instead of tuesday)

did some laundry, may do some more tomorrow. (bed sheets, gp fleece)

Now onto Week 4 studies/work:

- Readings finished by noon. (DONE!)

- onto the videos - in progress at noon DONE!

- BB4 (bulletin board 4 assignment as they are called, students taking class can see others' answers after we submit ours - to compare and learn from other classmates) - easier assignments this week, DONE!

- Writing Assignment 4 - heavier assignment, worth more points than the BB assignments that are only with 10 points vs 100 points, i think, for writing assignments weekly. we cannot see others' work after we submit. ..easier assignment as well, DONE!

It would be nice to finish almost everything today...but i'm sure i'll need some time tomorrow as well..will be DONE!


8:30am First small breakfast: 2 of the keto choc pb cups 150, kombucha 50.

then, i did fall asleep later for an hour more....

11am meal after nap, 1 pancake 160, ran out of jelly, so had it plain as it was nice and thin and tasty like that; 1 more pb cup 80. 250 approx...may have a coffee also..50

12pm small lunch/snack: a leftover mashed potato/pea indian fried samosa. good size on it. 250? was tasty.  since cals are low and i'm doing work, i decided to indulge and fill any "hunger."...since i really just had some food an hour ago. so that was easy to fill up easily...

1:30 snack: last of the peach gummies, plenty more gummies exist here though! 100...

2:30 while doing laundry/studying...got snacky and into the ritz everything coated crackers. over 3.5 servings. 350 cals.

4:15 a yogurt that was very sweet, LaYogurt a mango yogurt marketed to Latino community...they have many marketing/types and with varying calories. this one was def sweet! 170, plus one chocolate and one milano cookie 100.

Will exercise - full body strength workout soon :)

I knew you'd catch up! I called it, week 3 or week 4, you'd be back on track. I definitely give you credit. I'm sure it was NOT easy, if your class was as intensive as mine; there's just a LOT to discuss in Business Law. Yay for you!!!

It's probably a good thing to take a break from pre-planning too much, although, to your credit, you've always allowed yourself the luxury of being able to cancel without feeling guilty, if need be.

Did you end up having a dinner last night? Or did you keep it kind of snacky? What is the brand name of the keto PB cups? You know, there are recipes online where you can make your own. I used to make a dark chocolate/peanut butter candy, when I was doing keto. However, rather than being separate, the peanut butter and chocolate were combined, melted, and then poured into an ice cube tray to freeze. So yummy, but they were called "fat bombs" for a reason.

  • Week 5 due 9/29/21...Agency, Partnership, Employment - BB5, Writing 5 - Goal to start / do most of this on weekend of 9/18-9/19.

9/17/21 Friday -

just shy of an hour cardio today; combining AM and PM. good. maybe closer to 45min, but putting down an hour for attempting everything! :)

bus didn't show up on time; so i walked back to my car and drove to work bc driving is shorter. I read one page of notes in my car; but it had so much info that i may need to re-read again. at least i got one page out of the 4 remaining read before work. I may read after work, in my car, before driving home; as well, in addition to a short walk after work. Already got 20 min walk in this AM. Will record all cardio time later.

Breakfast: large banana, 200, coffee, negl, wrap with cream cheese chive whipped 150...350..spread out over morning, didn't have wrap right away.

Snacks: chia bar 100

Lunch:salad 40, pork spicy sausage 160, olive oil/vinegar 100, popcorn 100..400 and parts of a pear that weren't bad. lol. 100.

950...

Snacks: tbd.none, didn't need, had a good lunch.

Dinner: came home and a new snack i ordered came. these keto pb cups which are great! dark chocolate. i meant to have 1, but combined with some jackfruit, i had 3 of the chocs and some kombucha; instead of a real dinner at 7pm....now i'm going to review my notes, before eating anything further. the chocs are 2 for 150 cal...so i had one more 80, 230 total, bag dried jackfruit 100, and kombucha 50. 400 tops.

i have leftovers, tho not the best, from Chinese...i will maybe have tofu and eggplant, but have to cook the eggplant better - chinese left it hard and undercoked (maybe microwave or something quick). 

 

 


9/18/21 Saturday 9am-10:30am - Volunteering Cleanup @ Plumb Beach, Brooklyn Area.   Later in day - Week 4 studies/work

 

I haven't made plans thru Thursday so far of the days leading into this weekend -  or discussed any plans with friend, so i don't plan to see her this weekend.

 

I will continue studies, do this volunteering; and head into the coming week on a strong note!

yes, at least i was able to walk both to & from bus back to my car, lol. the bus/train takes an hour longer than driving; so i was easily able to get to work with over a half hour to spare still this AM, including the walks and all. so read notes in my car, but unfortunately was nodding off also!

yeah, was pretty bad in terms of being tired on the drive...not good. usually i don't drive so early and now it's still dark. i also do not like to drink before the drive in the AM.

My comment here has more to do with yesterday, but all in all, even though you would get reimbursed for tuitions submitted this year, for this year, perhaps you need a break before you enroll in another class. I don't mean a break between classes, either. I mean a real break. IDK, just a thought.

That's too bad about public transportation not working out today. I guess there were a whole lot of people late this morning who rely 100% on the bus. When I was a commuter, my motto was, "I hate the bus." Even the L was better than the bus.

I'll write more about this in my own entry today, but doesn't it just seem as though available time is so short?

you are prob right on needing a break, but, i sorta want to do 6 total classes, i'm on my 3rd now, from the advanced studies, before taking a break.

once i take 6 total advanced classes, i get a certificate from a college of my choice of listed schools that give the advanced paralegal certificate. i am not sure i want to "stop learning" right now...i kinda just want to learn what i can; about law/paralegal...especially in the Winter when the weather isn't great for being outside for a long time, anyways...and i'm not traveling now; so it's perfect...

but like you say, maybe it's time for a paralegal break; and i take the 3 classes for the advanced management degree from the state school...3 courses only..

The L - that's Chicago talk for our subway system because in parts, it goes above ground and is "elevated" --- get it? (ha ha - because of the pronunciation... ha ha) So it's referred to as the L.

Ohh, I didn't realize that about the certificate. And that's a good point about winter. As long as you do get a break, then I think you'll be fine. (I don't think it needs to be a "paralegal break", either - just time to rest. It might be better to keep up with the paralegal right now. After that accounting class, paralegal is a welcomed reunion, LOL.)

yes, the accounting was terrible! paralegal better ;) but it is still work that takes time. at least i'll have some time off basically the rest of Fall to make a decision when this course ends, very soon! :) I like these short, 6 week courses. it's work, but they fly by.

and actually, those 6 courses are supposed to be taken and done all in one year...which has taken me much longer...so i'm not even guaranteed a certificate....will have to look into that too. but these courses are short and i pick up knowledge - that's most important. and i can still list them on a resume, cert or not.

9/16/21 Thursday -Taking Vaca Day 9.

 

Today's Goal is to: Complete the midterm in progress (took a nap in the middle, paused it on purpuse to do so...)..a LONG test. DONE!

Today's other main goals: finish the week 4 reading that is 50% done already, videos, BB4, and Writing 4 ahead of time & submit.

You know, once i got into this course, it became more manageable, especially by taking a day during the week to do the readings on public transport. So, I will continue to study these paralegal courses. I was never reimbursed like i thought i'd be for the courses i took previously, because i didn't do it before the end of 2020 when i paid for everything. However, if i take anything now, i can apply for reimbursement this year for courses paid for this year (must apply within the year i paid for the courses).

So it would be good to continue to study these paralegal courses, continue learning the basics of these different areas of law as I do learn best when taking a course and not just studying on my own. Plus,i can be reimbursed with anything i pay for this year. This current course, i prepaid last year as well. 

  1. partial cleaning of gp cage; some laundry of half the fleeces, DONE!
  2. cut up cucumber for salad the next few days with iceberg, etc. ... DONE!
  3. roast brussels, roast butternut squash - DONE! 
  4. Broiled pre-cooked spicy sausages for the next few days of good eats! - DONE!
  5. do lower body & upper body exercises ;)...... - DONE!
  6. Do some indoor cycling :) - ??? trying for 20 min.
  7. pack food for tomorrow; freeze food into single serve lunches for next week which is a full week !! :).. DONE.
  8. not fasting today; using the day to be productive at home in honor of this day. :)

9am Breakfast: coffee 50, banana small 130, pancake 160, jelly 60....400....

Snacks: took a nap...was feeling very tired and was doing midterm, finished the mutiple choice portion and got 1 question of the written out part done...but once i read the second question, i decided it was going to be lengthy and a nap would suit me...midterm can be started/stopped as many times as i want, so it's still in progress but i'm glad i attended to more than just studies today!!!

12:45pm Lunch: iceberg lettuce with very light dressing mostly lemon juice 100, leftover bbq chicken from parents white meat 200, 3 milano cookies 200. 500.

3:30pm-4:30pm HEALTHY Snacks: the small amount of roasted brussel sprouts i made, had to throw a bit away bc they didn't all remain good in my fridge after a few weeks! 100. glad some survived bc it felt good to eat something healthy. i need to up my veggies in general and drift away from being too into processed-foods - i think i'd have more energy! also had some of the roasted butternut squash when it was ready. 150. feeling better just for eating better today :) def a recharge day!!!

4:45pm Early Dinner: following above veggies, a broiled, very tasty spicy sausage 150....will have some carbs after it...few healthier variety of chips that were remaining in the bag 100, dried jackfruit no sugar added100. 

6:30pm 6 of those really soft peach gummies. 150 before finishing the midterm that was actually quite a long test.

so, no moving onto week 4 studies, but i will watch the short videos tonight. and tomorrow i plan to take public transport to read the second half of the reading materials. so i'm in a good position to get week 4 finished on the weekend, which is great. it should be done on time :) 

as i also spent time exercising and cleaning today, i feel used the day decently well. i slept a lot last night as well as had a nap today. so some of the portion of the day was spent not doing much. i think i spent at least 2.5-3 hours (tops, i don't think it was over 3 hours, at all) on the midterm, seems like enough time to me for one day.


9/17/21 Friday - Public Trans - do Week 5 readings to get ahead! (and stay ahead) - will try to finish week 5 readings & assingments this weekend, so that i'm a week ahead bc week 6 has the final also, so it will take me a long time and i want to have extra time available when i get up to it!

 

 

 


9/18/21 Saturday 9am-10:30am - Volunteering Cleanup @ Plumb Beach, Brooklyn Area. 

 

I haven't made plans thru Thursday so far of the days leading into this weekend -  or discussed any plans with friend, so i don't plan to see her this weekend.

 

I will continue studies, do this volunteering; and head into the coming week on a strong note!

9/20/21 - Monday Sister's 36th bday! boy does time fly! (celebrating earlier? on weekend?) see about it.

 

Not much pre-planning to come....unless i start making plans with family/friends...i will sign up for another course after finishing Business Law. there's, i think, 2 months rest period between courses when i take them with Center for Legal Studies. so that's good.  Overall, i have enjoyed all of them except 1. I have had all different instructors.  All were good, except 1. I have, to date, had 4 different instructors. so that's great that all were great except 1 - hard to communicate with and course didn't include multiple courses of instruction like videos, etc, just a textbook and then the final and exams weren't even off it only...lol. all other courses taught exactly what they should have and i attained a lot of knowledge from taking part ;)

Will be trying to lessen days off and wait to take them until real Winter, as in January...if i have to take one or two before then - ok, but i don't think i'll have to.

Progress as of today: 5 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!

i love to make use of the public transport time. i try to always get a seat, because it's easier to read when sitting, LOL. i smoosh myself in always, if it's a narrow seat. LOL!

sometimes i admit i just want to close my eyes and relax, so i do that also, but i really try to make use of some of the time - because it's perfect time for reading.

NOPE. you can go ahead of the class, but i am doing it today, a day late. It is open book. and it's more on a student's ability to site information, search for information, and write well.

the midterm can be assessed up to the end of the course - there was a note saying it closes on oct 8th. however, i would never do that! i'm just glad i'm only a day late...

but yes, you can open and close the midterm as many times as possible, but you will not be graded until you submit it. then, you can no longer adjust it.

Didn't have many of those in college. But had a lot of music types of exams and manuscripts to analyze....that was tough. had a professor that preetty much explained it and did it for me when i visited him for help though! he has since passed away. such a nice man.

  • Week 4 due 9/22/29...Negotiable instruments (drafts - checks/promisory notes), Secure Transactions, Bankruptcy - BB4, Writing 4 - back on track with assignments. (half of the week 4 reading is done, just 50% to go and some videos too) Goal: Week 4 is to be finished on 9/16/21.
  • Week 5 due 9/29/21...Agency, Partnership, Employment - BB5, Writing 5 - Goal to start / do most of this on weekend of 9/18-9/19. 
  • Week 6 due 10/6/21 - Corporations and other Business Organizations ( BB6, Writing 6, Final Exam....

got home late, dinner 7:30pm, no weights and no midterm. Will do midterm tomorrow and sleep well tonight.

9/15/21 Wed - upper body weights tonight!! - or tomorrow i'll do weights -  if i feel like i would rather do the Midterm tonight which is actually due tomorrow...then i'd actually get this week 3's assignments all done on time ;)

To also do mostly tonight:  also walked a half hour after work, perfect! added!

  1. throw out spoiled food in fridge. (i want to clean up, see what i have, so i can maybe get new) - DONE!
  2. cut up iceberg lettuce head if still fresh. - have it for dinner with some dressing...make some food to eat with it.
  3. maybe cut up cucumber too...
  4. roast brussels, roast butternut squash - to have tomorrow (i'm not fasting, i'll be working at home....do not want to fast and be uncomfortable while doing homework).  (or cook tomorrow - but bc of neighbors, would rather get it done tonight!)
  5.   today - try to get up and walk a few minutes at lunch as i'm really tired / cold and need to move at least a few minutes.. - success!
  6. May take a rest day in terms of all exercises...but will walk 5-10 min after work before i drive home...still need to figure out a better drive home thru the city local route before getting on highway..yesterday took too long...must do better. i will try to drive along 125th street all the way across Manhattan is the plan - some kind of driving across town -...need to work on this.  I'm working to make the drive home shorter...was NOT shorter, will just take highway as i usually do. other attempts didn't work out well, LOL!

Breakfast: large banana and coffee 150, toasted hamburger burn 150 with pb 100 400...

Snacks: chia bar 100

Lunch: stuffed red pepper half with other veggies on side 100, beef with cheese a good portion 350, rice good portion 200. 650. want coffee badly, need to wait until men and done with meeting - many execs here...went to make coffee as the execs never left and i gave up on my patience! ah well! so i made it in front of them. too tired not to drink it! 

Snacks: craving my pear but may save it in the work fridge until friday when i'm back at work...had some chocolates

Dinner: sauteed broccoli from chinese not great! 100, sauteed eggplant not fully cooked chinese i will actually have to re-cook it. 100. 200-250. chips 250. 500....and not sure what not in mood for meat.maybe some gummies before doing work. ...

Today's Goal is to finish the week 4 reading that is 50% done already, videos, BB4, and Writing 4 ahead of time & submit.

I think I would agree on taking a rest day to get the midterm out of the way. Not only priorities, but also with the commute yesterday, it might be good to just rest the body while you exercise the mind.

Also, you have tomorrow off which gives you the luxury of more time to do a solid weight training session, whether it's upper & lower body, or just upper.

 9/14 Tues - recorded 1  hour for public transportation!!! May add in a little more, like 15 min, on the way home....try to leave work and get on train at a different point...instead of the underground stop, i want to get on at the overhead/above ground spot around 12 blocks difference. that would be 15 more min walking, too.

7:30-9am Breakfast: banana 150, coffee negl. later a wrap with cream cheese 150.

10:45am snacks: chia bar 100

11:45 wheat pretzels 50

Lunch healthy leftovers: white chinese somewhat sticky rice very good 200, cooked veg 100, half burger 200 larger orange 100. 

snacks:had a coffee, one sucking candy too. 50.

dinner: some really good marinated skirt steak from when i was with parents 250 not much, takeout from a mediterranean (owners from Jordan!) owners. very nice people, tasty food too. lots of fried cauliflower but not too fried and mix with other veggies in a salad 250 mixed with another salad with no dressing but with salt and really good 100, chips a bit overdone 220, 3 gummies 100 large size and vitamins.920 oops!

2020 good. glad i stopped eating after the gummie candies! 

I doubt i'll start the miderm tonight, more like just do it late, after Wednesday due date on Thursday (just a day late, whatever!) to go to bed early, get rest, and get thru another work day on Wednesday. if i do have energy, i'll start midterm...tbd, honestly!......yup!

Public trans read week 4 materials AND do the Midterm (at least start it tonight, after work, push forward!) -  it's worth it, to get reading in for Week 4 so on Thursday I can do week 4 homework and not only be reading/watching week 4 videos - but actually able to do the assignments, ahead of their due dates!!  50% done with readings, i should finish either tomorrow or just do it on day off, Thursday...might take public trans again tomorrow just to finish my readings!

Things sure have changed....We were never able to turn things in late. I spent plenty of nights up at the dining room table working on essays etc at 3 A.M. so that I could turn things in on time. At that time they took the stance that if you turn something in after the due date that you got an F which was the same as not doing it at all. But it sounds like you just get your grade lowered?

the reason i do not care about this lateness is the course has been messed up since i couldn't do my work on time since day 1 as there was a delay (technical) in getting my reading assignments to do the work that i wrote about.

I never did turn things in late in college, basically always did the right thing also in grad school, etc. even did the right thing for most of the other paralegal courses i took, especially when i wasn't working, i was able to get work done ahead of time.

Yes, you are right. I may get a grade lowered on this type of course. I do not care, because the important thing is - is that i learn the topic for my own personal goal / growth.

also, my job is more important to me. and i know my commute is long. i would rather get sleep, than be up all night studying. those are my reasons.

to answer your question, i may lose points per the course rules, but the instructor/course was delayed in its start date and instructor is out two days for abdominal surgery now - where she will not attend to the course for 2 days. so i'm taking care of me, at this point. as the course is secondary to my job,commute and sleep.

if i were to get an F, i would def not have this approach. so since i'm not getting an F, it's easy for me to have this current mindset ;)

You had mentioned this later yesterday, I think, and I had not commented on it, but whatever happened or for whatever reasons, if you are sensing that you need a break from your friend C, then do take that break. It may make your friendship stronger - not a stronger bond, but lasting longer - in the long run, rather than to try to push it.

I feel that my relationship (whatever that means) with Male Co-Worker is somewhat similar, even though it's a work relationship (and probably will never be more than that). He's always been dramatic, but it was enjoyable and/or relatable. Recently, his negativity has either increased, or I'm more sensitive to it, or both. Rather than following along, I've been seeking my own path, and I just can't be around him too much or it starts to take me in a direction I don't want to go.

I know good friends are hard to find. Heck, ALL friends are hard to find these days. So maybe a little distance, a little time off, might pay off. Hey, kind of like weight-training, right? Think of it like having a week of light weights, light lifts - or complete rest.

I'm so happy i did because the truth is, it helps get in exercise and, even though early, it can be valuable study time, even if i feel tired in AM while studying, it's still valuable time that i'm not needing to read at home - and gets me to be able to study during the week!

will write on the above later, or maybe message you. it's not a major thing to deal wtih; as all is forgiven, but what you wrote about you and male coworker is exactly along the lines of why the breaks are needed. it is exactly as you wrote. about drama/negativity/just not the same views or desires so not helpful to me.

 Got in almost 30 min walking when combining every step i took today....lol. rounding up. recorded!

dumb 5:30pm snack bc traffic and decided to get something at a dunkin donuts along the highway cruller and green tea drink (not coffee) 350

the tea kinda sparked my appetite more by the time i got home...and cruller was a little stale! maybe not the best way to eat going home...(hint hint...better off stopping to get a fruit!)

late 6:45 dinner: rest of the spinach indian dish with some of the cheese 250, some of the eggplant curry dish 100, chips healthier variety 200..550 approx.

2150. few high days. is OK. just moving forward and not trying to make a habit of it. all is fine :)

i have healthy items, should have my tofu with the veggies bc will make for healthier eats..

I meant to comment that I really liked your statement or plan to study as long as possible and then just go to bed. I'm not sure if that's how last night played out, but that was a good idea. A really good idea.

When studying, do you eat while studying, or do you take a break and have a snack? I'm only curious. I've been reading a book that I thought was one thing, but seems to be going in the direction of being more mindful when eating. I'm not preaching to you, because this is a HUGE problem with me at work. I was just checking in with you to see what you do.

9/12/21 Sunday - Finish writing 2, do bb3, writing 3, if time do midterm. if no time, do midterm on thursday day off.

Totally forgot to pick of Rx during week, now out of my rx! so will walk over there (walkng distance) today as cardio to get them. and also stop by the supermarket over there also for bananas & fruit - the mimimum as i have a lot of food still at home. maybe get lox for breakfast too since i have cream cheese at home to enjoy with it already. :) forgot about the lox!!!...

Full body exercises today. Lower body done besides squats to do later; upper body need to do....did Lower only upper tomorrow. Took a break to relax before tomororw. 

Laundry will do... DONE

9:30 Breakfast: sister's husband baked a hungarian style apple pie. (apples are mashed, not whole - very tasty with the spices, etc.!) crust on upper and lower. small piece but it adds up. will be kind to myself and call it 250 cals. coffee 50. whole milk blended lemon meringue greek yogurt, really good, saved some for later. 150. 

snacking kombucha 50. LOL. my sister bought me a bottle of watermelon flavor (don't love it) haha...but will not waste it either.  there's a few kombucha flavors i don't like. but it was so nice of her to think of me.!!

12:30 Lunch: 1 fried indian samosa with potato/pea filling. made well. 300. some of the indian saag made with cream. 300. 600 tops :) tasty.

2:45pm Snacks: sm slice cold pizza i had made the other day, 250, animal crackers 150....later choc 50

5pm another high-sugar snack, really soft Watermelon gummies. 250. 2.5 servings worth. was good. took the package with me to the couch, ate more than i planned to. craving sugar today while doing work. 

6:30 Dinner: marinated pepper salad from mom from yesterday 100, white meat chicken leftover from yesterday 150, cheezits 200.450.

2250...

Thinking bed early...and just stop working when i've had enough. finish the rest on Thursday, day off, for this week 3 work which is due Wednesday.

I hope you are able to catch up on your studies a bit today, but like you said you have Thursday off too. The BL class I took was definitely more work-intensive than other paralegal classes I had taken.

Also, though, I understand the idea of, "Who wants to stay in and study the whole day?" I hope you find a way to get most of what you want to accomplish done today.

FB DD is kinda dead anyway, we don't do journaling there. It's just to share motivational stuff I guess, but it needs to get CPR because it's been in years of coma like Cinderella :)

  • Week 2 due 9/8/21...- Intellectual Prop., Contracts, Entertainment Law...working on Writing 2; have a good handle and will finish on 9/11 today.
  • Week 3 due 9/15/21...Bailments and the Sale of Goods - BB3, Writing 3, Midterm 3 to do 9/12 Sunday. if i cannot finish Midterm 3 on weekend, I'll do it on my day off; 9/16, Thursday.
  • Week 4 due 9/22/29...Negotiable instruments, Secure Transactions, Bankruptcy - BB4, Writing 4 - should possibly be back on track with Due Dates.
  • Week 5 due 9/29/21...Agency, Partnership, Employpent - BB5, Writing 5
  • Week 6 due 10/6/21 - Corporations and other business organizations ( BB6, Writing 6, Final Exam.
  • Currently reading a NYPL digital book called "The Energy Bus.

9/11/21 - Saturday -

10am Quick breakfast so I can do my work; 3 mint milano cookies 200, coffee 50. 250. for now. some kombucha negl for now. 

Noon Lunch: harribo super soft watermelon lg gummies wow! 100, small partially made with caullflower wrap i found, taste not great, 100 with some indian filling of food from last night. 100. 300. and some of the harvest snacks pea crisps lightly salted 150. 450.

Snacks:

Early 5pm Dinner: with family; should be WONDERFUL, healthy, fresh. Mom preparing, dad bbqing. Cannot wait. Will see nephew and sister/her hubby too. should be great.

Skirt steak 300, piece of chicken 150, half potato knish 200, beans with garlic and some oil 150, asparagus with light oil and seasoning 100, pickled peppers salad lots 150...1050, 

dessert small choc cake 200 small apple pie 200 tops. 400

Maybe on way home from parents: Pick up some fruit at supermarket including bananas. seems it's the only thing i need to get thru Monday, tues, Wed. maybe pick up a package of lox also to go with the opened cream cheese i have in my fridge for healthier work breakfasts!

Today:

finish assignments due last wednesday 9/8 for week #2.

Possibly start on week 3 tonight after seeing parents.

Will wait to do weights until tomorrow & will do a full body workout.

Today may be a cardio rest day; yesterday was approx 2 hours cardio.

In the early afternoon, i'm sorta celebrating the New Year holiday as everyone found it better to get together on a weekend instead of the actual holiday that ocurred Monday/Tuesday this past week.

After work yesterday, i took a walk in a new, but totally efficient in terms of getting home, direction. I walked to the street you all know - BROADWAY which is by my work. it's not near there theater district though. it's Broadway, the same road, but wayyy uptown in Harlem, not Times Square! anyways, it was lovely. found GREAT takeout restaurants, looked at the menus. I realized this can be a new way of heading home when i want some cardio; plus there's some really great veggie assortments as well as other food to try. I even found a restaurant on the water, on an old navy ship. the food all looks great. i could even do takeout from there; and eat on a nearby park bench after work. so many choices. so many nice new experiences yesterday. I was home a little after 7pm. relaxed and went to bed!

That's so cool that you found that new route by walking! From the way you describe it, it looks like there are a lot of opportunities for exploring and trying new eats.

I'm glad that you had a nice time with your folks and family. Sounds like there was a lot of good food!

yes, i am so glad i went this way, along the popular Broadway street which is also where the train runs. so i was walking in the direction of the stops i would have been passing thru or getting on for the train (i was walking a direct route for getting home efficiently!).

and turns out there's several welll known schools and even a music conservatory there...so there's good food also for all the professors/ students to enjoy. (def a reason why there'd be such a wonderful selection, i would think). because it also seems the food was near a housing project, and i don't think they'd be paying to go out to eat all the time. there's such a variety of living and apartments where i walked. i really loved it; and will def go back!

parents eat high quality (and pay lots for it too!) i love that i have some leftovers to eat this week.
