Donkey on 01/20/2021:
Hmm... There have been times where I have felt closer to God, felt guided or had things confirmed. Can't say it was at exactly 38 years old, but I've had that feeling several times. I don't always feel it or "see" why things happen, so I always try to keep an open heart to hearing God.

Hope you get to bed early tonight! Ahhhhhh what a wonderful idea!

grannyannie on 01/20/2021:
40 is when everything got better for me, and gotten better and better the older I got.

bearcountrygg on 01/20/2021:
I wake up happy...I'm a glass half full kind of gal so I can't say that I've had any kind of change really......I tend to look for the good......and if I can't find any I usually get quiet....( not always...but usually)....But I'm happy to hear that you are happy and feel positive and energized.

Donkey on 01/19/2021:
Hope you have a good day at work today!

Are you starting your third week? I remember saying that things start to fall into place after the 3rd week, at least in my experiences.

Which is why it's probably a good idea to try to do weights tonight, if you still plan to weight train during the week. Good for you!

horn_of_plenty on 01/19/2021:
OH yes, certainly trying to STICK WITH weight trainings during week !!! :)

can you believe it's already my 3rd week!!!!!

You enjoy your day too. The weekend was such a nice relief after two weeks of work at a new place.

bearcountrygg on 01/19/2021:
I can imagine that work is getting easier to deal with ...so many things is all or most jobs are repetitive and it becomes habit.

horn_of_plenty on 01/19/2021:
You've got that right...i'm starting to get the hang of it...exactly what you say rings true.

Some tasks i will not do until end of the month...there's certain things i do only end of month...so i will learn the hang of them next week.

but my biggest priorities have fallen into place, yes.

grannyannie on 01/19/2021:
Have a great day at work!

horn_of_plenty on 01/19/2021:

lol lol....doing a tally over the entire year!!!! it's cumulative!

grannyannie on 01/20/2021:
38 was 30 years ago for me. 38 was not a good year for me, but at 40 things became great! And they've gotten better ever since. My best years so far have been my mid-50s to now and hope my 70's can be even half as good.

(counting calories/walking/elliptical/weights)
Weight: 113.0

12.50 hours in 2021 outdoors in Sun cardio or inside cardio!

I think today I can say i was outside at least 1.25 hours..maybe more, but, i'll consider it that.

Happy MLK day.

3day weekend. going to see parents. on way home, may stop at supermarket, but to tell you the truth  - i may skip that too and just come home to spend the day relaxing at home!

I want to do leg strength exercises today too.

9am oats and raisins 300, almond milk 50/gummy vitamin, kombucha guava 50. 400.

Noon snack: large twix bars 250 (hungry during walk with mom, it's all i had and i knew i wouldn't be eating lunch in her house bc she doesn't want me breathing without mask in her house because of Covid and i ride subways now...)

2:30pm light lunch: back at home, not much, chocolate grahm cracker snack 150, spiked cider 100. 250

5:30 early dinner: leftover shawarma meat smaller portion 150?, leftover veggies including some potato 150 but still hungry...portions too small, looking in fridge for more..cheese doodles 150...450

1350...

seems calories are low today and I'm ready to go to bed very early ....can't think past getting up around 5:15am tomorrow morning

i don't have veggies prepared for tomorrow's lunch...thinking just to have a salad instead of cooked veggies and that makes sense because i have tons of romaine and lettuce in my apt right now.....and very little cooked veggies beyond what may be in the freezer.

Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

Donkey on 01/18/2021:
Oh enjoy your day!!!! Especially for all of us who have to work.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/18/2021:
Wishing you FAST day with few challenges! ha!!!

grannyannie on 01/18/2021:
Have a nice visit with your parents.

Your comment to Bear about electric kettles. Everybody uses those here. Nobody has used one that you have to put on the stove for decades.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/18/2021:
yeah, i just mircowave my tea....i hadn't known too much about those kettles before i visited my friend in France already two years ago almost!

bearcountrygg on 01/18/2021:

Horn_of_plenty on 01/18/2021:
was great.

grannyannie on 01/18/2021:
Electric kettles in certain areas here get a lot of limescale on the bottom of them. Especially places like London. Horrible water there!

Horn_of_plenty on 01/18/2021:
yes!!!!! it was limescale!!!!! i had forgotten what it was called! she is in Paris and it builds up on her electric kettle

For inquiring minds, this weekend is MINE. no work brought home. things are starting to work out at work :)

  • will be doing laundry, organizing for the rest of this weekend today.
  • Other than the cleaners and laundry, I want this day to be quiet and I want to stay home. It will be a cardio mostly day off besides walking to cleaners which is around 10 min walk away.
  • I hope to do weights tonight, upper body and leg strength.

Bring clothing to cleaners on Saturday...

  • fix shirt side hole (don't want to throw away shirt, would rather sew it up because i like the material of the blouse for work!)
  • dry clean 1 shirt
  • get my new spring pants hemmed from last Spring, never hemmed them,
  • have a button on black pants resewn in (4 items...and counting...will look thru my stuff)
  • fix one of my cloth masks - add in two more layers of fabric

Sunday: may meet up with friend Jen for walk and other stuff

Monday Martin Luther King Day: seeing parents for a walk in morning.

Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

bearcountrygg on 01/16/2021:
You had a good run with the pumpkin pie.......You may not be able to find it in stores now anyway.....and even canned pumpkin may disappear.

horn_of_plenty on 01/16/2021:
Usually the caned pumpkin doesn’t fully disappear in the store by me- but it certainly won’t be on sale all year. I’m glad I could eat it while it was in season! It was a good run like I said !!!

Jacky82020 on 01/16/2021:
HOP, see pic at top of my feed

horn_of_plenty on 01/16/2021:
I’ll have to try that ! I usually only watch movies with friends, but, maybe next time I have several days off, I will pick up a dvd at Redbox ....cool and thank you for showing me.

grannyannie on 01/16/2021:
Enjoy the day with your parents.

horn_of_plenty on 01/16/2021:
It should be :-)

Donkey on 01/17/2021:
Did you notice you're eating less?

Did you manage to do more cardio, aside from walking during your errands? Just curious.

1000...

6:45-7:30pm Dinner: willl be my healthy takeout leftovers from last night, the meat is going to last days, i may freeze some for next week, actuallly. meat fatty 300, veg 100, bread 200, gummies 100 low sugar didnt taste fresh ...700

1700, goodnight :)

walked the whole bus route home from subway, 2.5miles. plus 15 min walking, plus 10 min to subway going homme...approx hours walking: one hour

Goal to do leg exercises tonight, but not sure.

..Do legs SATURDAY, taking a rest tonight, is my plan...then, not sure what day to begin next week, will give it some thought over the next couple days...(i'm not sure if i will want to lift on Monday, my day off from work for MLK Day...or if i want to wait until Tuesday to lift weights) One thing i learned from my past employment is that i prefered to get the weights done on workdays and have the weekend very free sometimes for other activitities or to feel like i really got rest....i'll determine this later on for next week's lifting plans....

being that it's a 3day weekend, i'm so thankful as it comes just as I started this new job, after 2 weeks being there.

I am not sure how i will spend it...i will prob drive to parents (maybe) and go walking with them on ONE of the days.

the rest of the weekend i'm probably going to spend local but also doing some errands / chores. I'll get some kombucha / go to supermarkets...I will be attempting to wash my  dress pants on delicate / cold wash in the washers in the laundry room....

Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

Donkey on 01/15/2021:
Before I logged in, I thought I saw you mention something about cream for under eye puffiness. I've been thinking of trying Ordinary Caffeine serum. Please share any recommendations you may receive.

I'm so glad you have a long weekend. How nice to have after starting this new job. It will give you time to rest and regroup.

horn_of_plenty on 01/15/2021:
thank you, will look up yours...i just did some research quick on the web, found something for inexpensive from Sephora...going to try it....i'll let you know later today what i got...it's an "amazon favorite" meaning it's popular on Amazon. only $15 not like $50.

totally will share with you. that's why i'm not asking friend...i found something good on a Cosmopolitan magazine article on the web listing a multitude and the pros / cons. this seems the best one. i'll let you know if i like it after i try it out. i think it's for bags and dark circles etc. and it's a cream...i like creams, not serums.

grannyannie on 01/15/2021:
Hope you can get some rest (and workouts) in over the long weekend!

I will aim to do leg strength exercises tonight, but may take a break if i feel like it also.

really tired, decided to rest all night. and i'll be in bed before 9pm...sleeping :)  I get up at 5:15am, so i really need to get some sleep tonight to make the week end well :)  It's been a decently good week. :) I have a nice boss, so far.

i did get some extra walking in, around 1.5 miles on top of my regular commute of 1 mile minimum. around 2-2.5mi today. around an hour in the sun, too.

Happy Thursday...happy it's Thursday because i got up on time, but can't wait to sleep longer on the weekend!!! haha

Breakfast: pie 400 (may save some as a snack), coffee 50 (work provides it, and i bring my almond milk and stick it in the fridge - better than using creamer which is high cal and i'd rather stick to my low cal option beause it all adds up - i take some gummy vitmains that i have cals as well as other things, so that's why i don't want to add cals with creamer/whole milk), kombucha at home minimal.450....

snack150 granola bar.

lunch: veg 100, 2 small wraps 200, small meatball 100, small apple 50. 450.; hot coffee..

1800.

as you all may have heard, how you dress at work represents to your coworkers a lot about you. In the past job I held for 9 years, I broke my mold and started to wear jeans to work daily, as it was acceptable since I was working in construction but in the office. (can't get the color back to black here lol)...

this time around, I have taken a vow to not wear jeans. I want a different and more professional persona. I'll only wear jeans fridays if I see people doing it, so far I haven't. I want to step myself up and the first way is to dress professionally daily. Luckily, I have many pairs of older dress pants and they all fit. I may need to purchase a couple more. I don't plan to dry clean them after one wash, even with Covid. I will both not have enough pants for that either. I simply will be wearing pants many times and then dry cleaning some at a time when I can. When I get home, I immediately take them off and hang them up again. Listen, I'm not going to buy like 10 pairs of pants in one shot. And I'm not paying to dry clean after one wear! I'm not that rich.

For the first time in my life, i feel like i am being paid for the work i'm doing. not more, not less. I feel it's honest. I feel like G-D is actually watching over me while I am working.  Like i am being partially redeemed for all the times i messed up.  all the times i could have done better. all the times i didn't have experience. all the times i was immature. all those times. I'm making enough money to live. some to save. not rich by any means. def not poor. I am self sufficient. I can be free on weekends and also days off like Martin Luther King Day. I live a better life than my great grandparents and grandparents. I am single, I am free. I don't always have to answer to anyone if I don't want to. I have parents that still care about me, even at 38 years old. I have a cute nephew too. One day, perhaps i'll meet a man around my age. An equal. Not a much older, experienced too much in life guy or a guy that cannot control his anger but a normal, nice man.

Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

grannyannie on 01/14/2021:
Creamer is outrageous in calories. I do love half and half as a rare treat in coffee.

I do the coconut milk in my coffee. I like almond milk as well.

Donkey on 01/14/2021:
Happy Thursday! Oh this has been a long week, it seems to me.

I love your idea to dress more professionally. I agree that you don't need to dry clean your pants every time you wear them - they will wear out quicker! Dry cleaning chemicals are harsh on fabrics!

Hanging them up immediately is excellent. Also, the to air them out, if not in fresh air, perhaps in the bathroom when you take a steamy shower. My other suggesting is to spray them with Febreeze. THAT gets them smelling nice!

I bring my own creamer to work because I don't like the powdered stuff the Boss provides. Male Co-Worker brings his sugar free Coffeemate flavored creamer too.

Hope you have a great day! I'm so proud of you for handling this change!

horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2021:
great idea for fabreeze on pants...i can also spray with perfume??? asking your advice? or is fabreeze the better way to go??? i do have some generic brand freshener at home, similiar to fabreeze...good idea...

Jacky82020 on 01/14/2021:
Sounds like the job is going well. Big congrats! Always knew you’d do it, HOP!

I’d dress the way others did, depending on the job. Much latitude when I taught at inner city public schools.

horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2021:
yes, i see what you mean by dressing how others do.

reason i'm stepping it up is because in this particular industry, execs tends to dress up but the admin assistants wear the jeans. it's almost like by looking at someone you can guess their role. i've decided i'll dress for the upper role, than to dress in jeans as an assistant.

my reasoning is because i want to succeed, in this new job and any job in the future. and dressing for success cannot hurt.

grannyannie on 01/14/2021:
I always avoided buying things that needed dry cleaning. Too lazy to take them to cleaners. I've had some items that said dry clean only but I washed them and hung them to dry. No problem.

horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2021:
I may try this...wash in delicate cycle right??????? and hang dry right? should work without dry cleaning right?...should work for all my pants instead of dry cleaners?

Donkey on 01/14/2021:
I would use the Febreeze (generic, off-brand, or the real thing) rather than perfume. Perfume can have oils in it. It can also have a heavier scent than Febreeze, which evaporates more, taking the odors with it.

I swear, if you don't spill on the pants, and if you have enough in your rotation, you can probably get at least 3 wears out of them before having to take them to the cleaners. That will save you time & money, and wear & tear.

horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2021:
I may try this...wash in delicate cycle right??????? and hang dry right? should work without dry cleaning right?...should work for all my pants instead of dry cleaners?

legcramps on 01/14/2021:
I wear casual pants to work, just in between dress pants and jeans. I usually get two wears out of them before having to wash, but right now we are instructed to wash after every wear or else wear a uniform to work. I don't want to wear scrubs, so the casual pant has been the way to go for me. It's a lot cheaper to buy than dress pants, so I don't feel so bad about wearing them out a little quicker :) I also hang them to dry rather than throwing them in the dryer.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2021:
yes, i will hang dry.

yes, i know what you mean by casual pants.

i have sworn off jeans because i know it really dresses a person way down and executives do NOT wear jeans...they dress appropriately, every day.

i will dress like an executive.

now that i have stabilized my weight, i am happy my clothes fit well, and since i lost a little, extremely well right now! not trying to boast, but, i am at a point right now with this new job that I know i's important to make a choice to dress professionally everyday and stick with it!

there's no going back to jeans for me! that's for weekends! :)

Horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2021:
if i had your job, i'd prob wear the scrubs!

grannyannie on 01/14/2021:
Yes, dry clean stuff just wash on cold and delicate and hang to dry.

horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2021:
OK, so now more dry cleaning for now...will wash everything except the button down shirt that i usually don't wear, i just wore one for the first day...a collar button down type.

all pants i'll wash on my own, delicate, cold, as you said.

Jacky82020 on 01/14/2021:
Gotcha, HOP. Them suck ups who wanted to become administrators, VP’s and Principals, always wore their power suits. I’d do the same if that were my goal. I was more the bohemian latter day hippie.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2021:
i don't want to be an administrator/vp/principal.....

BUT, i'm sick of not being treated as an equal. or any assumptions about me.

therefore, I have decided to take it up a notch. it could help with professionalism and how people see me, especially the first time i meet neww people at the company, which i still am everyday.

i remember at my older company, where i was 9 years. this one woman wasn't so smart, but dressed so professionally...she also had the meanest personality....nobody messed with her. she eventually got the position she wanted...sort of an administrator with a salary hike up. she dressed the part even before.

i don't want to be her or anyone else.

but by dressing professionally, it will show i my goal is to be professional.

i can't go back to jeans.

grannyannie on 01/14/2021:
I would just try one pair of pants in the washer if they are all made of the same material.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2021:
OKAY. i will work on this on my 3day weekend for Martin Luther King Day. I will start washing a few, but not all. it should be OK.

as you all may have heard, how you dress at work represents to your coworkers a lot about you. In the past job I held for 9 years, I broke my mold and started to wear jeans to work daily, as it was acceptable since I was working in construction but in the office.

this time around, I have taken a vow to not wear jeans.

8.00 hours cardio outdoors in Sun (or inside)-----> for you, Jacky.

call geico on  weekend/monday - need new link to upload correct def driving certificate.

1050 up to dinner.

Healthy dinner: salad with olive oil and seasonings 150, 2 slices cheese 120, piece of pumpkin pie 200 small, gummie fish 100. 600 tops.

2 kit kat sticks while working out yum. 110

1750.

thinking to have a small salad with an individual Celeste pizza and do weights.

Overslept completely thru phone alarm, woke up late with bedroom alarm. Out the door on time. Updating DD on phone as I wait for the train....hopefully my body starts to adjust better to this early schedule but it's been 10 months of waking up late and that's probably why I'm having a hard time bc I was used to getting 10hrs sleep every night especially if I wasn't volunteering so it's a slightly large adjustment at the moment but should improve as I continue on.

tonight to do weights, will need to leave work more on time or it becomes difficult to fit the weights in bc the night is short between when I come home and when I'd like to go to bed. I really want to try to get decent sleep for the time being.

if I ever reached a perfect weight it'd be now. On scale I'm just under 110 in the morning.   Not sure it will last but happy about it now.   I used to weigh 103 in high school before I started my unhealthy relationship bingeing on food. 103 is probably not attainable and I don't want that. For anyone who wonders about cellulite I have a ton on back of thighs just like you do. I'm over it. Losing/gaining weight is not my focus rather than maintaining and not bingeing which are my 2 focus points. That's progress from what I've dealt with earlier in my years , and I'm glad not To not be back there now !!

where did I put my stack of hair clips to keep right side of my hair out of my eye ????? Need that

Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

grannyannie on 01/13/2021:
It does take quite an adjustment when you suddenly have to get up early and also get lots less sleep.

horn_of_plenty on 01/13/2021:
Yes ;) body is adjusting poorly to hearing the clock and registering it’s time to open my eyes lol!!!!

Donkey on 01/13/2021:
I figured you were probably losing weight with your new schedule. I hope you are able to leave work early enough to weight train tonight. I need to do that too, but then I have treadmill either tonight or tomorrow. We'll see...

Hope you have a great day! The weekend is coming!

horn_of_plenty on 01/13/2021:
Yes I hope to not be working late all the time - I want to continue lifting my weights and getting basically enough sleep so that I can feel good and not be fully exhausted like I was when I started 10 years ago at my other job

Donkey on 01/13/2021:
PS very smart to use multiple alarms, at least for a while.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/13/2021:
yes, def. it's a little unnerving that i'm having such a problem getting up. then again, it's the earliest in my life i've ever had to get up on the regular. i have my "daylight alarm clock." it's the one that starts giving off light. i need to set it up to work. i'll probably work on it either tonight/tomorrow/or on the weekend. i just want to get to my weights now!

bearcountrygg on 01/13/2021:
2 alarms are a good idea.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/13/2021:
i have never slept so deeply! i think it's because i don't drink as much coffee anymore and i sleep better. must get back into the habit of being able to wake up.

Jacky82020 on 01/13/2021:
10 hours of sleep! Didn’t realize anyone did that, at least on a regular basis. I usually do 5 or 6. How different we all are!

Horn_of_plenty on 01/13/2021:
i never slept that long except during the time i was unemployed. i hadn't slept like that ever. my body was exhausted and i enjoyed the sleep all those months i was off.

grannyannie on 01/13/2021:
I do about 8 1/2 or more of sleep.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/13/2021:
i didn't plan to sleep so much when i wasn't working, but it sure felt nice.

grannyannie on 01/13/2021:
You've been maintaining for a very long time, haven't you?

Horn_of_plenty on 01/13/2021:
around 4.5 years now, around this weight the whole time.

legcramps on 01/13/2021:
You're doing great! It's so hard to adjust to a new routine, but you'll get the hand of it eventually. You're doing all the right things.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/13/2021:
Thank you, Legs <3

grannyannie on 01/14/2021:
You're are doing so well. You sound content.

4.5 years of maintenance is great. The vast majority can't do it for more than a year. I'm one of them. I've done maybe 1.5 years. I always set a maximum weight and then vow to lose once I hit it, but something always happens...

Donkey on 01/14/2021:
I love your self-revelation about the job. That realization of awareness, when you can just *feel* that you are at the right place, right time, doing the right thing.

Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

Donkey on 01/12/2021:
I hope you have a good day! I don't envy you having to call the union. Well... maybe that's not as bad as having to call an insurance company directly. I remember when my coworker had to do that. She was on hold for 45 minutes before anyone took her call.

When does the lady you're replacing leave?

horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2021:
Believe it or not I had to call both union and insurance. A waste of many phone calls at time. They were just slow to deactivate my card at the insurance company.

She left to another department. To speak further about to you later on

bearcountrygg on 01/12/2021:
Was your insurance card working while you were unemployed?

horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2021:
It was a kind of computer / administration error that is finally fixed.

Jacky82020 on 01/12/2021:
HOP, just to make sure you’re safe from the demon UV, I’m sending you a jug of sunscreen & a wide brimmed hat. lol

horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2021:
Haha if it’s on your wallet, Richie rich ;)

Just playing ;)

grannyannie on 01/12/2021:
Safe and sane driving school. Love it!

Hope you week goes very well.

horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2021:
Yeah right ?! I think she does good work, the owner. It is hilarious, the name.

Jacky82020 on 01/12/2021:
We use Progressive car insurance. When the DMV renewed our licenses via mail, they enclosed this flier that said if we took a safe driver course we could get an insurance discount. So I called, thinking maybe I could find something online that would be cost effective. They asked all these questions, including education. The husband and I both have PhDs, so I thought I struck gold. Finally she comes back and says: you’re eligible for an 86 cents reduction in your annual premium. I said: Did you just say 86 cents or is it 86 dollars? She said cents, under one dollar. LOL. We got a good laugh out of it anyways.

horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2021:
Whoa. My deduction might turn to around $50 for the half year . That’s worth it for me. Will go over with Geico On the weekend

bearcountrygg on 01/12/2021:
We used to have progressive....but they "Progressively" raised our rates every year...LOL.....we went with a local insurance company that also insures our house and got a better deal.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2021:
oh yea. I have GEICO and my rates have increased by a few dollars from the start. only had them a full year. my 3rd cycle with them will start soon. I have Geico now and love them. very cheap. i think it will lower back down to $550 for half year for my car after this discount for defensive driving. i think i save $50 every 6 months.

Jacky82020 on 01/12/2021:
I should check around, but so far no one has matched progressive. We have high deductible coverage, liability only. Never once in decades filed a claim. Think we pay $450 a year for 2 cars.

Same for the homeowners. The highest deductible allowed. Never a claim. Same for health insurance. Very routine claims like visits to keep them writing my RXs. The sports docs were the only specialists I’ve seen in ages.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2021:
Check Geico. they are dirt cheap. i was shopping around a year ago, when i had the time with my old, slower paced job. ...oh wait, now i'm reading you pay $450 a year for two cars....WOW. that's dirt cheap. are your cars old?

maybe living where i live is causing my rates to be higher.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2021:
maybe i will check out progressive, down the road. i had really high rates a few years ago, so i was really, really happy about my geico rate.

Jacky82020 on 01/12/2021:
One is a 2008 Mini Cooper. The other is a 1970 Opel, looks like a small Corvette, favored by car enthusiasts. Not some old 1970 junker, if any such cars exist. I drove a 1956 Chevy when I lived in California. Sold to a guy in Sweden.

Jacky82020 on 01/12/2021:
Yes, the zip code is a big factor in auto insurance

Horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2021:
maybe when i turn 40 there'll be more perks in a couple years! you have a great deal. I have a 2009 pontiac vibe...good, realiable car. has a lot of life left. your mini cooper may also. i have around 100k miles on mine.

Jacky82020 on 01/12/2021:
Yeah, maybe you too can save 86 cents. lol I thought you said your parents paid your car insurance. Maybe I’m thinking of someone else.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2021:
in the past they did. but not for several years now.

Donkey on 01/13/2021:
I've always loved Geico, but then they got too expensive for us. Maybe we can go back, once our son is no longer on the insurance. He's very expensive to insure.

Weight: 113.0

6.5 hours cardio outdoors in Sun (or inside)-----> for you, Jacky.

sips of kombucha in AM 50., pumpkin pie with coffeee

1,000 cals before lighter dinner, healthy lunch.

light dinner 2 servings lower sugar gummies 250, apricot yogurt 150 (i should buy more yogurts later on this week)  i don't eat yogurts much anymore so i don't buy many when i shop for them, so this was my last one as I don't generally consider yogurts a dinner, but like them once in awhile. 400.

1400....

looking forward to starting my day with pumpkin pie most of this week. store bought, the real deal! it's much lighter than most pies. 1/4 pie is 400 calories...1/4 a full size pie.

#1- need to call union still, for insurance card, STILL NOT WORKING. - TUESDAY NEED TO CALL MAGNACARE

#2- WEIGHTS to do Tonight MONDAY DO THEM...just upper body, because it's already late when i'm starting, lower body another time, will get into a routine later on...just trying to get it all in now.

#3- need to fix car insurance rate, WEEKEND?; Tuesday call Safe&Sane driving school, get certificate that i never got from Spring.

#4 - GET COV*D TEST, as long as insurance card is activated, right after work at a walk in that is located a couple blocks from work before going home.

Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

grannyannie on 01/11/2021:
Did you get everything done yesterday that you wanted to?

Horn_of_plenty on 01/11/2021:
mostly, but not making a template calendar because i did a really rough one days ago and wanted to go to sleep.

mostly, it was good i took the work home this time because i think he was content when i handed him several documents he'd assigned me to finish and i was able to give them to him instead of being absolutely confused and stumped today.

Donkey on 01/11/2021:
Good luck today! It takes about 3 weeks before a new job starts to feel better.

Bankruptcy is federal law. (I'm sure you already knew that.) I loved the subject but it won't help you with your ambitions to work in the city/county court system. You want things like family law, torts (difficult), criminal law, litigation, contracts.

If you give me the list of subjects again, I can tell you what I think would help you most, from what I know.

I still highly recommend BK law though. Like I said, I loved it.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/11/2021:
well, i wouldn't have thought about it unless you told me, again, that it's federal law so i appreciate you reminding me of that bc i wasn't thinking about it that way but realize that's the court it's worked on in.

YES...the subjects can be changed at my leisure. will give you the whole list in the future bc i do NOT want to contact the school again and therefore i'll wait for two months to pass before i email them again with my decision in change of a course for my next choice. good idea.

thanks for your advice.

bearcountrygg on 01/11/2021:
Here's to good week for you.....at least you got the confusing first week over with...things will start falling into place easier now...( I always continued to learn things months later...LOL)...but that is to be expected. Have a great day!

Horn_of_plenty on 01/11/2021:
Very good advice from you, thank you so much. i feel exactly what you are saying.

legcramps on 01/11/2021:
Have a great week :)

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Horn_of_plenty on 01/11/2021:

Jacky82020 on 01/11/2021:
What’s up with this sun stuff? I avoid it like a vampire. A leading cause of aging and skin cancer. My mom and grandma both got it from UV exposure. Wear hats and a light sunscreen. No vit D deficiency.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/11/2021:
HAHAHA...a friend of mine told me about one of her friends shooting for 1,000 hours in the sun. I will not get that, but, trying to see how much outdoors exercise (and indoors i will count) of cardio i can get this year. it won't be much, prob not even 400-500 hours either. I'm doing it for a baseline to just see.

i may actually forgot to record, but, trying.

some vit D is ok...and it's true we should always wear suncreen.

i have a few light sun spots on the side of my face that is in the sun when driving. seems i have "driver's sun spots" ...my mom i think has it one that side of her face too from driving, i think.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/11/2021:
it's not for the sun, it's for EXERCISE outdoors is what that means, btw!!! :)

Jacky82020 on 01/11/2021:
Gotcha. Thought you were sunbathing nude. lol That would be very bad!!!!!

Horn_of_plenty on 01/11/2021:
LOL...nah, i gave up the tanning days (i did use those tanning machines for a summer, VERY BAD. wish i didn't!)

Jacky82020 on 01/11/2021:
This counting sun hours sounds weird. Do you guys count how many times you flick the light switches off & on? Or is it a thing & I’m too culturally deprived to know? lol

Horn_of_plenty on 01/11/2021:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. you are sooooo funny :)

made my day, with this comment in particular!!!!

Jacky82020 on 01/11/2021:
Gotta love ya, HOP
