19.00 hrs March Sunshine Hours - 3 hours including driving of doing volunteer work i'll include in my sunshine hours for today.

20.25 February Hours in the Sun/Outside/Cardio/Commute/Moving!

24.50 January "Sunshine Hours" (per Donkey, love the sound of it!)

Lookahead:

Tuesday the 16th -  Vacation Day 2 for this cycle, ending March 31st.

I was able to take Tuesday off...plan for errands, but not extra exercise :)

10am: I Will go back to vet for second dose of ivermectin for gp, thinking to bring my little guy also, but, i think i'll hold off...and just deal with the one that is suffering. if something happens again down the road, i might bring them all to get doses of ivermectic, but for now, only one pig is suffering, supposedly it's mites. and supposedly some pigs can fight it on their own and some get the hair loss...and it is contagious. but i'll just work on treating my own pig that's suffering now. payment for the vet seems decent, $50. honestly, i'm thinking to take all 3 pigs on this day, then the other two pigs i'll bring back again for their second doses - so i can fully erradicate any mites...(i looked it up; usually it's done in 2 doses to erradicate mites)....may wait until Saturday to do this trip to the vet due to recent eye allergy that has me taking benedryl and i may just stay home tomorrow all day to rest up..

& After lunch : Chapters 1,3,5 of the Bankrupcy Code

I am lucky to have some days off this month and that will help me tremendously in completing the bankruptcy course i'm taking! :) I plan to do the readings for the course specifically on my days off! :) I am excited actually to start reading the Bankruptcy code tomorrow on my day off.

Before 7pm union meeting:  pack my lunches for the rest of the week without spending money as I have plenty of leftovers and a possible oil change. Some of the okra is very oily, so i'll see what i can do about that Indian okra dish i bought

7PM ...Aside from that, I also have a religious club (voluntary thing - part of the union) zoom meeting tomorrow evening! And now you see why I chose to take the day off tomorrow! - mostly because of the meeting in the evening which means that if i went to work i wouldn't have the evening after work to do much either....tomorrow cannot come soon enough. :)

I overslept due to a long, eventful weekend, so i was a half hour late to work that i need to make up later this week.

I will have an easy night after work, no exercise as i'm sore (in a good way) from this weekend...maybe i'll read some of my Orwell book or just relax and watch TV ;)

Upper body workout tonight :)...bc i realize i have enough going on tomorrow to not want to fit it in; and relax more on the couch reading my Bankruptcy materials and not work out tomorrow!

will skip exercise again tonight bc at work I had to do some kind of manual labor for approx 2 hours moving things and I'm very beat  / sore / and not feeling good from too much exercise / movement / unusual events over a period of 3 days.

I plan to catch up on your diaries either tonight or tomorrow!!!

Progress as of today: 5 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!

Maria7 on 03/15/2021:
Good that you got some extra rest this morning. Hope you have a good day.

horn_of_plenty on 03/15/2021:
It was super fast and so much exercise at work that I’m skipping it at home !

legcramps on 03/15/2021:
Enjoy your day off tomorrow, though it sounds like there are still many things to get done!

horn_of_plenty on 03/15/2021:

horn_of_plenty on 03/15/2021:

I am happy with such a change of schedule type of pace for the end of this month xoxo....it's not BORING! :)

bearcountrygg on 03/15/2021:
I'm adjusting my schedule a little today too...sometimes things just need to switch to plan B.......it's all good.

horn_of_plenty on 03/15/2021:
Ty lady and at work I ended up getting so much exercise moving things in the office that I’ve decided to relax until Wednesday xoxo goodnight and comment on your entry tomorrow too xo

Donkey on 03/16/2021:

Horn_of_plenty on 03/16/2021:

  • Clean gp cages / wash the fleeces - later tonight when i get my energy back from 2 hours walking apt to apt in my building and i did get 35 signatures. i've decided i'm too tired for more exercise today...unless i change my mind, prob not.
  • Upper body weights, not lower strength today - TOMORROW.
  • Due March 15 - Lesson One: Introduction to Bankruptcy Law - either print out for reading on commute or read at work little by little online.
  • Test 1 - Sunday - In progress, will have to finish this afternoon after the canvassing volunteering... To finish between approx 4-6pm....DONE,took around 2.5 hours from 6pm-8:30pm because i had some trouble finding information at first. ugh! DONE!
  • BB1 (stands for bulletin board and is the easier of these two assignments - BBs and Tests)  Done!
  • Noon - 3pm volunteer canvassing (time includes time driving to the place to get the paperwork, driving back home too) (where i will bring the signature forms back to my own neighborhood/apt building/area) for signatures for Queens Borough president. this is not my cup of tea, i'm doing it as a favor to my local union; as well as a favor to my father who told me about it and wants me to show my face / name after just getting back to work, personally, it's a favor to my union. I may cut the volunteering time down as 3 hours is a lot along with some driving to pick up the canvassing signature pages as I do not really have 3 hours+ to waste...(as my dad said they aren't "watching me" for the 3 hours...It will be more like 1.5 hours of actual canvasing, maybe i'll just come back early with the forms; after 2 hours...YES.  Because this is going to be a BUSY week as I have also a virtual club meeting (not my cup of tea again, going more for others) on Tuesday night.  So i need to pace myself here. DONE!

Progress as of today: 5 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!

Donkey on 03/14/2021:
I do not envy you needing to canvass today. Definitely not my cup of tea either, but I completely understand why you are doing it. Well, I guess it's exercise and more steps, fresh air and maybe sunshine? So there's some silver lining in the task.

Maybe not this week, but you have a lot going on the week after. Wow!

I look forward to reading about your eats today.

Horn_of_plenty on 03/14/2021:
i did canvassing thru my whole apt bldg which is 23 floors and 4 apts on each floor, so almosts 100 apts. i got 35 signatures, which is def considered huge. :)

it was good exercise, i got warm and was sweating. good cardio, indeed. :)

def some silver lining in terms of standing, steps, and burning calories.

have a nice day to you!

Horn_of_plenty on 03/14/2021:
i def will not be doing canvassing again this year. i couldn't do that to my neighbors, at least.

Maria7 on 03/14/2021:
Hope you are having a good day!

Horn_of_plenty on 03/14/2021:
it was successful :) xo

Jacky82020 on 03/14/2021:
Me too! Hope you have a great day!

Horn_of_plenty on 03/14/2021:
glad the canvassing is over with. won't be doing that again for over a year and prob never in my building for at least 5 years...it's so wrong to bother everyone lol.

it was a successful day, now to read about bankruptcy law!

14.00 hrs March Sunshine Hours - I will spend a minimum of two hours doing trash pickup at a grassy area along my commute walk along a major roadway i take to go home each weekday. the garbage is an eyesore and nobody cleans it....that's where i come in! exercise of being out in the sun, standing / walking / bending...cleaning up an area that is special to me on my walk home when i walk my commute. PS - i have a goal this month to actually have at least 31 total hours outside, due to days off / volunteer opportunties - it should work out  much better than the previous two months! i'm excited for reaching that goal of what would equal at least an hour a day of fitness & sunshine !

Happy Saturday:

Saturday March 13th:

Personal Volunteering, along my commute path home, only me: early afternoon. DONE!

go out & spend 2 hours on my feet, cleaning up an area that i walk by all the time; i'll take my car there & park on the grass, take garbage bags, fill them with garbage that seriously is littering all of the grass so so so disgusting & drop off garbage bags at nearby garbage cans....DONE!...it was very hard to find a place to dump the trash bags that i filled up...not many dumpsters or garbage cans that have a big enough opening on top! i ended up driving near a shopping center area and put the bags next to a dumpster - not in it because it looked like recycleables were in the dumpster and my garbage bags were fully mixed garbage, not separated out. DONE!

Other errands:  pick up rx, buy one monster energy drink or similar to have while i do work this late afternoon for my course...DONE!

Saturday late afternoon / evening: reading & completion of Bankruptcy week 1 assignments, to be done at home bc i have some writings already done from last class (introducing myself) that i'm copying and pasting...the rest is actual assignments aside from writing a "self intro" that is already done! :)  I am excited to do this course, it's a challenge, it's good for me!....starting this evening :)

Woke up, cleaned up, showered, threw out all trash and recycleables; did laundry except for pants/guinea pig fleeces which i'll work on tomorrow...so happily organized!

Found some old and expired cold and flu meds to give to someone who has a cold - they are very local and stopped by so i could run downstairs to give it to them. :)

Heading out soon to volunteer, but first just renewing my rX and further getting organized before i go out...It's a rather nice, but chilly, very sunny day...so i'm happy to get out of the apt for a few hours. plus, i have lots of leftovers of food to come back home to...i'd like to cook this weekend, but i also have my class to attend to - so i may just pick up some perdue ready cooked stuff to eat with my leftovers.

Eats:

breakfast oats 150, golden raisins 150, almond milk / coffee 50, kombucha 50, wafers 150... 550.....

noon lunch toast 250, whitefish salad spread 200...450

4pm chocolates 100, water, energy drink because i KNEW i'd be exhausted after cleaning up the greenery for 2 hours (went well, lots of bending, i was considering buying a garbage picker but didn't because if i'm not using it a lot, it's just another useless purchase).

5pm early dinner  also with said energy drink above, keebler cheese crackers with pb 200. basmati rice larger amount 300, with indian curry veggies 200, yogurt 150...

7pm large grapefruit 100

snack before bed: rest of yogurt from above, couple chocolates 100

2250, excellent.

Progress as of today: 5 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!

Good for you for doing your own volunteering! It benefits you and others and the environment! Now you can walk by that area with some satisfaction that you made a difference. Others will notice!

How did you like the dandelions the other day? Were they bitter?

horn_of_plenty on 03/12/2021:
they were actually not bitter...cooked in olive oil, with some salt and i think possibly a couple of other seasonings, it was better than i have had in the past. almost exactly tasting like spinach this time.

I did cancel my eye appts because i did go to them last year right before covid and i simply want to skip that this year. I feel the gyn (that i skipped last year) and annual physical are enough for this year and next year all do all 3 again :-D

Thursday: Upper body tonight, glad i got some good sleep last night...will try to do the workout relatively soon after dinner so that i can get back to bed, been tired this week, i think mostly bc of TOM which is here today.

Thursday Eats:

coffee 50, banana 120, lousy tasting keto bar (Bulletproof Fudge brownie has NO chocolate taste) to which i bought an extra 230, 400....

snacks pb and granola bar 250

lunch: healthy leftovers: some mashed potato 100, some tofu 50, pita chips 150, doritos 150, rest of my sauteed dandelion 100; 550; hot coffee black with stevia.

3pm chocs snacks...150

1350.....

dinner: healthy thai leftovers:chips 300, lots of veggies in some sauce 200, shrimp 100, some kombucha 50, gummies 100, later on chocolate 100...850

2200, bit high but at least i exercised. It should mostly balance out I think with the whole week.

I may need to cancel my appts bc of TOM - it may mess up the urine test and gyn test - will call tomorrow to prob reschedule all / ask them ....I forgot it was Thursday and Saturday is in less than two days now that it's Saturday night..

Progress as of today: 5 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!

It's been a long time since T.O.M. for me but you guys are reminding me how often women have to deal with that and all of the side effects.....No wonder women are so strong...we really put up with a lot.

Lookahead:

Saturday or Sunday March 20-21:

back to vet for second dose of ivermectin for gp, thinking to bring my little guy also, but, i think i'll hold off...and just deal with the one that is suffering. if something happens again down the road, i might bring them all to get doses of ivermectic, but for now, only one pig is suffering, supposedly it's mites. and supposedly some pigs can fight it on their own and some get the hair loss...and it is contagious. but i'll just work on treating my own pig that's suffering now. payment for the vet seems decent, $50. honestly, i'm thinking to take all 3 pigs on this day, then the other two pigs i'll bring back again for their second doses - so i can fully erradicate any mites...(i looked it up; usually it's done in 2 doses to erradicate mites).

Bankruptcy CourseMarch 8 thru April 23, 7 weeks total. Quick and concise which is good for my time and attention span while working.  There are 16 other students in the class with me, around 2/3 females based on their names.

Due March 15 - Lesson One: Introduction to Bankruptcy Law - either print out for reading on commute or read at work little by little online.

Due March 22 & March 29 - Lessons Two and Three: Read Chapters 1, 3 & 5 of the Bankruptcy Code

Due April 5 & 12 - Lessons Four and Five: Read Chapters 7, 9, 11, 12 & 13 of the Bankruptcy Code

Due April 19 - Lesson Six : The Bankruptcy Rules

Wed:

may do like 20min of stationary bike tonight. I did my short leg workout this AM which felt good to do.  Basically, it was either that or a shower, and i chose the former. Wet wipes come in handy, indeed...something i've debated and found it's useful to have a couple very easy mornings / nights a week where a wipe does the job right now - and i'm very ok with that.

Eats:

7:30am-8am bigger banana 150, kombucha 50, coffee 50, pb 100: 350 for now...and a granola bar, didn't want to hold off. 150.

9:30am snacks: pb 100

3 chocolates, was standing most of the morning at copier (very mundane) but worked up a big appetite 150

12-12:30pm lunch: nice leftovers: doritos instead of the mashed potatoes i brought 300, 2 servings, diet coke, tofu small bit 50, sauteed dandelion and some fried onions 200...550 prob tops

1300, good...DEF EARLY TO BED TONIGHT!...i'm feeling both tired and frustrated today...it's hormones leading up to TOM.

snacks: couple lg clementines 100

1400

thai takeout dinner shrimp 150, eggplant and a good amount of other veggies sautéed lightly sooo good 250, pretzels 160....560

1960...

gummies and kombucha right after dinner

total around 2050-2100

Progress as of today: 5 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!

Is Ricky doing okay? Yeah for leftovers!!! I think I like leftovers better than the day i cook them.

horn_of_plenty on 03/10/2021:
Hi Bear! thanks for asking, his energy is up right now! :) his skin is not great though...

i am behind on commenting as i have to do a lot of mundane scanning today ....hope to get back to your entry today xo.

bearcountrygg on 03/10/2021:
It might take quite awhile for his hair to grow back.....but glad that he is happier and more energetic.......maybe he doesn't like the baby too well...( sounds like the baby picks on him).

Glad Ricky is doing better.

Don’t worry about commenting on my entries. Haven’t had an interesting thing to say in 25 years. LOL

Work AND taking a course and working out. I don't know how people manage it.

horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
luckily, it's a short course of 7 weeks which means i see the "light at the end of the tunnel" which doesn't seem too far away.

work has it's time challenges with commuting. I actually hope to take 2-3 days off during the time i am taking this course...

and for working out, i will try my best to maintain where i'm at :)

thank you for the kind words!

bearcountrygg on 03/09/2021:
Hope the little guy is feeling better.

horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
he's been feeling quite down - not moving and sad looking!

i saw the little guy chasing and nipping at him...i have now quarantined the pig that is not doing well, Ricky, since he was being harassed by the new pig. the new pig doesn't seem to harasss my other older pig, so i left them together and i'm leaving ricky to heal on his own. so sad. i think he might also have a tumor in a testicle, no joke, there's a lump. i'll be bringing him back to the vet in two weeks for anotehr shot and/or follow up.

Donkey on 03/09/2021:
You are amazing to undertake a new job and coursework!

I hope to go to bed early tonight too, so I'm thinking about no gym tonight. Maybe I will do weights at home? I need to start getting my body ready for turning the clocks over the weekend. UGH...

horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
at least we can sleep in at first, as the first night is saturday into sunday...lol, i'm not looking forward to the change of an hour either! ha!

i was tempted to skip exercise, but i'm satisfied with just trying to get it done fast so i can relax and go to bed since i have no other commitments...

starting to feel like i'm a little busy and will need a day off...will confirm all that, my days, today actually with payroll! - you reminded me that's something i should do AND NOW in an email! thank you!!!!

horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
one more thing - the job didn't turn out to be as complex as i thought, it's very administrative but in a way that needs attention to details. it's a lot of organizing and keeping documents flowing the right way as well as finding errors and contacting the right people for corrections. it's a good job for me, but is NOT hard at all for me, generally.

therefore, i'm trying to challenge myself in other ways...i'm nervous i will not be able to do as much work for the course as i want to, but, i'll at least be doing "the minimum" as i'm doing that with work and also the volunteering. i do not expect to learn everything 100% in the course, just to get thru it this time around..

bearcountrygg on 03/09/2021:
That is sad about the Ricky...I suspect the baby is detecting Ricky's illness and picking on him...it may be kinder to Ricky to separate the baby from him if you can. Sounds like he does need to go back to the vet again.

horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
i'll think about putting ricky back with frankie, but i kinda wanted the baby with frankie so that the baby can socialize and be ok around other gp's and not have to be kept alone. i'll maybe switch off who is alone...! but no matter what, i'll keep the baby away from ricky...that was a good idea, to switch off who is alone!

Maria7 on 03/09/2021:
Hope all goes well today and your pet is better, too.

horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
thank you Maria, i hope he gets better too and lives for many, many more months. he didn't seem ready for a downfall to the end just yet...his health has had a major downturn :(

bearcountrygg on 03/09/2021:
I wonder if the ivermectin made him feel sick. Hopefully he will get past it and feel better.

horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
yes, i think it made him tired....does that happen with when you gave it to your animals????

and also the baby (though he's growing fast) is nipping and possibly biting the sick pig. so as i told you, they are perm separated for a long while.

bearcountrygg on 03/09/2021:
D is out at the barn right now so I will ask him when he comes back in....but there are a lot of side effects listed online and they pretty much cover all side effects......it is working to kill the parasites and in the past...I remember when we gave dogs or cats anything like that they acted sick afterwards...I wouldn't let the baby bother him right now...maybe ricky needs to be alone right now if you can separate them.

Horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
he is doing much better today compared with yesterday :) he's back to being alert, but yesterday he was def exhausted!

Horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
and yes, i'm keeping him away from the baby pig for now.

bearcountrygg on 03/09/2021:
D says that he hasn't seen side effects with the dogs....but it can affect their liver so it is a measured dose......you may want to call the vet for their opinion.

Horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
i will def follow up with the vet soon, thank you for asking D!

Horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
oh gosh...ricky is much better...he's now humping frankie...ugh, i hope he doesn't ruin frankie's fur again...last time he really "glued" it up!

Poor piggy! Hope it gets better soon.

horn_of_plenty on 03/08/2021:
Thank you, he seems to be on the mend & I'll probably "vaccinate" all of them at the next appointment.

Donkey on 03/08/2021:
I posted my opinion about the follow up visit to the vet on yesterday's entry, but I think I essentially agree with you. Or rather, if anything, I think it may be too soon to tell.

I hope you have a wonderful day! Don't let any stress about the new class derail you. You got this!

horn_of_plenty on 03/08/2021:
yes thank you, i looked it up - says to treat in two sessions with the ivermectin...seems if it works i should treat all pigs so it isn't reoccurring....i will look into that too! i read your comments, ty!

horn_of_plenty on 03/08/2021:
yes, i'll take the class with a grain of salt - learn what i can but not care much about perfection or learning 100%

Jacky82020 on 03/08/2021:
Sorry to hear about the pigs. Don’t know anything about this med. Is it a topical? I keep some vet meds on supply here, purchased from ProgressiveRX in India, owned by a guy in Seattle. You do need an RX for the first order, but they will accept an image of the tube/vial etc that contains same info. Has saved me the big bucks, even on some of my own meds.

horn_of_plenty on 03/08/2021:
it can be topical or a shot or i think even liquid but not sure on the liquid ingestion?

seems i should bring all the pigs for shots of ivermectin so that there is no future spread again of mites!

bearcountrygg on 03/08/2021:
We keep ivermectin here all of the time....but not sure what the problem would be with guinea pigs.

horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
thank you, Bear

Jacky82020 on 03/08/2021:
Yeah, I’d think if one has mites they all do. Poor tykes

waaaahhhh....you are right....

Hope you have had a good day.

horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
Thank you! Same to you! :)

Donkey on 03/08/2021:
Now I'm thinking more along your lines of getting all 3 piggies treated. Let's see how Ricky Pig does this week, and I really think that will help you make your decision.

horn_of_plenty on 03/09/2021:
thank you, Donkey, i appreciate your advice...

Look for 2nd set of iphone headphone adapters that i have...maybe with my old work stuff at home or in the desk drawer at my home...

Sunday, March 7th:

9:30AM Check in - Bring one of my older GP's to the exotic vet shop around 45 min away (most shops refuse to see GP's I have learned).  He continues to have sores/hair loss on his fur despite using OTC spray on him. :(.  (doc thinks he has mites, though he said he couldn't see any after a skin scrape poor baby ricky!, but gave him a shot for mites and i go back in 2 weeks for a follow up / 2nd dose of Ivermectin anti-ameoba/protozoa drug.) ..do i need a second dose? it's no appointments...should i go back only if it doesn't get better?...i'm thinking to save $50 and not go back since it's walk-ins and there's nothing saying i have to go, he said the spray i bought on amazon is oK also to keep using!

donkey - any advice for pig above?? Bear? Jacky? (asking you bc you have pets...) anyone can chime in though! (i'll also research dosage online)

buy more instant coffee / seltzer / bananas./ get gas for car..DONE!

drive by parents on the way home even though i do not want to...(they are in the town next door to the vet) DONE!

  • cook up homemade mashed potatoes using all 4 potatoes i've had in the apt for weeks!...in progress after i eat lunch....thank gosh, I can finally say it: DONE!
  • I should have several servings of mashed potatoes from the 4 I used. I am sure it will be more than 4 servings, close to 8 servings of mashed potatoes which is wonderful. I'll freeze anything i don't use later in the week. DONE!

organize my lunches / dinner / meals for this week with all my leftovers ready, so packing them in containers to bring to work / eat at home for dinner...so i know what i have / save money from spending anything as it was all pretty pricey, the Palestinian food i bought yesterday...and i have so much it'd be such a waste doing takeout at all this week! that seriously would be painfully obsurd of me, if i were so wasteful (spending-wise) to actually take out food when i have so much at home. think about easy / tasty / inexpensive breakfasts based on the food i have at home...i have plenty of cheese, etc.....do this today or wait and do it tomororw or so...not a rush to get it done...can even wait until Wednesday!.....not done

clean guinea pig cages / wash fleece bedding..later today...so glad all the guinea pig worries are mostly behind me and that they are all going to be OK, now that i brought Ricky to the vet. DONE!

full upper body strength workout (legs a little sore from yesterday's good volunteering)...wil take a leg strength break thru Tuesday & resume it either Tuesday or Wed morning.  At least i was active in the kitchen, a little bit, and also doing other errands today. sometimes you just have to rest the legs, or do a little less, to feel good.done !

Eats:

8am Breakfast: oats 150, banana 120, golden raisins 120, almond milk 30, coffee 30, 2 small wafers 60, around 520.

snack: choc / plum throughout morning 150

lunch: close to noon, very hungry, 1/4 lg burger from my mom 100, on part of a large flatbread from yesterday 200, with some leftover zucchini nair spread 100..400, coffee 50

2pm-2:30 snack:few more wafers 100, alcoholic margarita high sugar (had them awhile in the apt) beverage, only some of it 150., taastes of my mashed potatoes 100

5pm snack rest of the can of sugury margarita 50 mixed with seltzer, dried jackfruit 100

6pm dinner:a ton of the arabic tomato salad bc it's going to spoil soon (meant to bring some to my parents but i forgot!) 150, 1/4 large burger 100, rest of the homemade restaurant pita 200...450

11pm 2 chocolates before bed 100

2200...

Donkey on 03/07/2021:
I commented on your entry yesterday as well as to your comments to me yesterday - I'm sorry it took me longer than usual to comment.

I hope your piggie appointment goes OK this morning. At the time that I'm writing this, it should be just about over, and you're probably heading over to your parents' house.

Is the BK course self-led so that you can go at your own pace? Or are there live Zoom classes to attend?

Horn_of_plenty on 03/07/2021:
appt went quite well, i liked the vet i got.

thanks for asking...like you, i'm having a problem with my regularity here in corresponding and leaving comments. life is busier than it ever was, offline, i think.

it's self paced, the bankruptcy course. i have a feeling i will not be able to check it out until after work tomorrow, or perhaps during work later in the day. :) just to see about it, make sure i can log in and all. usually, it's totally self taught but with weekly due dates for assignments. it's pretty free and self paced other than that which is why i like the courses.

Maria7 on 03/07/2021:
Looks like you have a full day today. Hope you have a good one!

Horn_of_plenty on 03/07/2021:
you too :)

grannyannie on 03/07/2021:
Very busy and organized!

Horn_of_plenty on 03/07/2021:
Thank you, if i didn't organize things, i'd not be able to be as productive (like with the class and the volunteering!). i'm so glad i get to volunteer again, even while working! :)

Regarding your guinea pig, wait and see if he improves this week. I'm inclined to say that you should plan to take him back in 2 weeks. That is to say, be prepared to. You don't want the other pigs to catch mites too. I'm a little concerned that the vet said it was mites but couldn't find any.

Let's see how he's doing this coming up weekend. Let us know!

24.50 January "Sunshine Hours" (per Donkey, love the sound of it!)

Lookahead...

I'm reading Orwell's  Homage to Catalonia, based on the Spanish Civil War 1936-1939...i may stop reading it when the course begins Monday.

Look for 2nd set of iphone headphone adapters that i have...maybe with my old work stuff at home or in the desk drawer at my home...

Saturday. March 6th 9am-12pm: Volunteering as a NYC park steward (different volunteer group, first time for me!) in Brooklyn cleaning up the park !  I think it may be on the water, will review another time.....SO SO NICE, great experience, DONE!

Sunday, March 7th 9:30AM Check in - Bring one of my older GP's to the exotic vet shop around 45 min away (most shops refuse to see GP's I have learned).  He continues to have sores/hair loss on his fur despite using OTC spray on him. :(....drive by parents on the way home even though i do not want to...

clean guinea pig cage / wash fleece bedding

full body strength workout

buy more instant coffee / seltzer

Monday, March 8th: Bankruptcy Course Begins, i think it's 7 weeks but not sure, need to check that.

As soon as the ability to take off days comes for me (prob April), I'm going to alot myself a few (3) days off in a row.

Cooking: Saturday ???:) ...
  • cook up homemade mashed potatoes using all 4 potatoes i've had in the apt for weeks!...

as i showed on photos, I was able to find a really awesome restaurant 10min away from where I was volunteering in Brookyln and the food includes an assortment of veggie dishes that are hard to find all in one restaurant, unless it's a really good restaurant - so the prices were sorta high, but they are big portions, included extras, and was better than i expected. I'll have tons of leftovers for this week to come because one i saw the selections, i caved hard! :)

8am quick breakfast and snacks thru 2pm 500 cals up until a late lunch (oats with dried cherries and almond milk, coffee, couple chocolates while working all morning, so so so nice to get exercise thru volunteering!)

2:30pm lunch: large portion fried cauliflower 300, tomato cucumber salad 100, sauteed pureed zucchini 150, sauteed dandelions 100, some fried onions 100, homemade flatbead, big piece 150-200...and i have leftovers of everything which isn't a bad thing! 950....maybe some kombucha and a nap, we'll see..didn't mean to indulge so much but i ordered a lot and portions of all of it..very healthy at least! 1,000

almost 6pm, washing my clothes but cleaning the guinea pig stuff tomorrow: blueberries 150, almost a pint

7pm chocs 100, small coffee

7:30 light meal more of the homemade pita bread 200, more heavily oily (but good) zucchini 100

2050...meatless day, not on purpose but bc i was enjoying the takeout food and calories got used up fast lol.

Progress as of today: 5 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!

I love that they call this volunteer experience a "stewardship". Isn't that really what events like that are? Taking care of Mother Earth? Being a steward to our dear planet?

I'm glad to see that you have other events scheduled for such stewardship. Hopefully, those will work out with your schedule, too.

And a meatless day to boot - I sometimes have those, unintentionally. They're great :-)
