6 dav average is still decent at 2085....can't wait to get back to the gym to work on my muscles...and for some reason, in the back of my mind, i still hope to one day be a court officer. at least i can get used to (i hope without being sick all the time) public transportation. it's so much healthier than my old commute.
my bathroom routine is off bc of waking up earlier and having to be out earlier, i may have to stop drinking kombucha in the mornings...but we'll see if my body works itself out...

Yes, i have to skip the gym bc i have a slight cold and not energized. It would be stupid to use any extra energy at the gym and then just end up being fully sick. I'll return to gym probably Friday, I prefer Thursday, but it might be difficult with work Friday...depends how I feel tomorrow AM.
It's stupid to go to gym when on the verge of possibly getting sick - just to end up getting sick...not worth getting sick.
Progress as of today: 5 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!

Ricky took me on a test run of my new commute we also got breakfast and snacks along the way total time out 8am-11:30 am so it's good we did it early.... Now doing a bit of laundry and relaxing and cleaning hamster cage !!!! Plan is to relax and bed early ! I will have a totally different commute tomorrow !
Good idea to try out the new commute. I hope that this works out for you! I myself would rather leave the driving to someone else, but the time consumption may be something you'll need to reconcile. I used to take the train with a guy who would watch the morning news on his laptop every morning!
Good luck tomorrow - I'll be thinking of you!
anyways, the commute will be a hair longer, but will go fast. thank you for all the positive thoughts.

HAPPY DAY OFF! This is the first time I've taken a day in not that long...only since my vacation to Vegas 2 months ago. I'm glad for it, as I woke up feeling slightly under the weather today...I feel better as i've been more productive today...and I feel better as I realize the fun that will be had tonight!

I did laundry :)
I went to a dr appt :)
I recycled bottles and cans :)
I had a nice breakfast & lunch :)
I am going to read :)
And lastly, I'm taking a trip into the city by subway to meet my friend Leslie when she finishes work - then we are heading to New Jersey to watch the Nutracker - but a Hip Hop version of Hip Hop Dance and Music! COOL! Then, we'll travel back home - about 2 HOURS...and she'll crash at my place until morning when i drive her locally home to her place! I'm so glad she could come, as Ricky said he did not want to go with me because he doesn't like long trips or sitting thru long performances. She said yes last minute, and for that I am grateful to have her as a friend that is accountable, fun, and very flexible when making plans!

At the gym, I realized last night that i simply don't have time to volunteer in the auxiliary police ... it'll be a distraction to the needed training i have to do in order to pass the court officer test physically. so, instead of spending my time volunteering, I am dedicated to seriously becoming a court officer.
The written entrance test starts again around 2020. They don't have a written test for court officers every year here in NYC. They tend to not need to fill many spots ever. After I take the written test around 2020, if all goes right, I'd take a physical test around 2020-2022.
I have more than enough time to fully change my situation from good to best for the court officer physical test and i look forward to being in a different office starting Monday for a change. With same pay. I can do this..for many years i'm going to be OK.
Progress as of today: 5 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!
"Limit how much processed meat and red meat you eat. This includes many of our favorites: bacon, sausage, ham, hot dogs, pepperoni, salami, pastrami, bologna, corned beef and deli/luncheon meats. The AICR says that eating 1.8 ounces of processed meat – the equivalent of a hot dog -- every day raises the risk of lower-stomach cancer by 18 percent."
I don't normally eat them but the grass fed hotdogs from trader joes made me crave hotdogs more... and I've been buying turkey sausage lately.
2110 4-day average - my metabolism has improved so much this year! I can eat more than probably I ever have to maintain my weight. But lately i may have to be careful...although i am quite pleased with how good my metablism is right now!
Home: decided to have kombucha even though i was sick last night at both ends so i was pretty much empty...i had the kombucha for the flavor and taste as well as to further clean myself out...it worked a little with whatever was left in me....sorry for TMI.
8:30am-9:30am Breakfast; 2 bananas an hour apart from each other approx (i will eat an extra banana today for the potassium esp after last night being sick), 120, coffee with eggnog flavor stevia (so good!) and milk 50, later a wrap 100 with honey 50 and cashew butter 200. total here is 520, good.
10am Snack: crackers 100
1pm Lunch: chicken 150-200, big salad small amount dressing 150, popcorn 100, wrap 100 most?? some spread 50?: 600 tops.
3:30pm Snack: blackberries, pint 100
5pm snack on way to gym: rice krispie treat 100
After gym: probably dunkin donuts again the egg white flatbread and i'll try to hold it to one munchkin 450 would be my total :) banana, seaweed salad, wrap, veggie burger 400 and healthy!!!!!!!!! ok....AND CHIPS! 150 they were tasty :)
2200, decent, I worked out HARD!

Lunch will be nice...there are leftovers in fridge from a meeting, nice chicken wraps and also salad, so i'll have the leftovers from a work meeting in addition to more salad i bought the other day that is still good from the supermarket, a greek salad mix of cucumber and tomato with a little dressing.

I was sick last night and left work around 10 min early. Once again, on the drive home I had to pull over to throw up. Then, I had diarrhea after walking 10 minutes to the meeting I was going to at 6pm. I couldn’t eat dinner, my stomach couldn’t take it. Once I walked the ten minutes home, I was once again in the bathroom with bad diarrhea. I couldn’t eat anything bc my body still couldn’t take it. Then, I went to bed around 8:30-9pm and slept till my alarm went off at 5:40 but I could have slept a LOT longer. I am not sure whether it was the food or nerves. I think it was a mix of the two. The food was Spanish food and I had eaten a lot of a huge fish. I do think that the fish had something to do with it bc it could have been low quality (bc the lunch was rather cheap for a huge order of fish with sides).
At lunch I need to buy bananas and peanuts (peanuts are to box up and have them delivered with all my stuff to my new location so that i do not have to bring things when i'm taking public transportation! I am also trying to have my desk heater brought to my new location so that i don't freeze my booty off there! It's a fancy type of trailor that i'll be workiing in - not an office building. but the trailer has a fridge and is pretty decked out i hear.
lastly, i think i will not volunteer right away from auxiliary as planned - it's better i actually train physically on my own to actually past the test when the opportunity comes, and not waste my free time right now that i have in the fall, but rather keep training.
it's difficult enough for me to fit in the gym...so, knowing it's already an obstacle, i will not sign up for an obstacle which is volunteering in the academy....its tempting, but not a good idea. i cannot do too much and have problems as usual. less is more. i'll now be able to see my friends, etc.
i can always change my mind, but i need to focus, not create distractions.
now i can still get a guinea pig down the road...my mind is out there.
i think i need to slow down and not speed life up.
i used to be good and speed and doing too many things...and now is prob not time to do this to myself.
it's better i learn to cook better and use my time in more personal ways ... i think.
it's hard to judge anymore what is best.
but one thing is for sure - in the fall i should not volunteer, i need to FIRST concentrate on adding back in the cardio / fitness training that the court officer position requires. before anything else.
i am stressing myself and realize i need to take a step back right now, do less, bc less is more.
just a little confused, and i might as well get used to my new job office / commute now. i think it'll take a month to get used to taking public transportation as i have NEVER done it before, aside form like 1 month as a college student in summertime.
from January thru end of the summer, i'll def be just getting used to the job, taking the class this winter that my dad wanted me to take, and just getting used to the work schedule. we'll see if my hamster lives that long from now thru September :) when september comes, i'll see how i feel - if i can handle anything else. maybe it's best at 35 to simply work, see friends, exercise. and not add in the volunteering. i can always change my mind later.
we'll see how i feel after this union class...bc taking it is similar to the amount of training the auxiliary is...but the auxiliary is actually 1 hour more each week and for 4 months, rather than the union class which is less time and one less month...
sorry...it's just too much to even think about any more....so many rolling thoughts. time to just read. and relax.
my work load is once again lower. since tomorrow is my last day at this office bc friday i am off.
2075 4-day avg.
Happy Tuesday!
Home: kombucha 70
Breakfast: banana 120, wrap 100, honey 50, cashew butter 200, cinnamon, coffee 50: 520.
11am peanutes 150
Noon lunch: too big but all healthy. nice spanish rice and beans but too much 400 cal?, avocado and plaintains 150? with smallest salad ever, big piece of fish 250?? total here: 800-850. not the best.
2pm pint of blackberries (so head hungry, i guess stress) 150
4pm granola bar 100
total today 2000...had some salad and bread at the meeting, all my stomach could take.
__________________________________________________
Lunch: out to eat with coworker, i may buy some extras for the next 2 days here (not my good friend coworker, just a coworker that i assist everyday, sorta like my boss here but only gives me work and no **** at all thankfully!, a very nice man who's always wanted to go to lunch with me! LOL. so here we go...we have an hour, so we'll walk to a place approx 10-15 min away that i know is GOOD food.
_________________________________________________
I can just cancel my challenge to volunteer a year with the auxiliary...but i'd rather not. also, the 120 hours expected of us, is just cummulative. so some months can be more hours than others. I plan to use some of my vacation days / sick days for the volunteering in auxiliary - it will have to be done! we shall see what happens. of course my current job is priority, but, so is my enjoyment and life fulfillment. it's a challenge i want to do. i'd rather not skip out. my dad is not happy with this. he feels it's unsafe.
I am not 100% confident that i'll be able to manage volunteering for the NYPD auxiliary in the fall is my preference tho, my new location job with extra commuting, and improving my cardio fitness for a full year. However, although it is a LOT, i'm going to try it. It will mean seeing certain friends less and some for the same amount of time...i guess it will be OK....i'm going to try. this is a challenge for myself. I like challenges. why not! It's just very time consuming - but i've really learned during the past 7 years at this current job - i have learned how to better manage time and place priorities on things and also how to say NO to friends / family. so i will probably be alright.
i also will use sick / vacation days to help me with the volunteering things. i am also taking a winter class 1x a week that lasts 10 weeks in the winter which i'll also balance by using some sick days during March when the class is ending and when we have no days off to help me continue my fitness level and staying strong. In spring and summer it's all about fitness.
Back to fall 2018 , it's fitness and the volunteering auxiliary cop training and work till Spring.
Then from spring 2018-spring 2019 i will complete a YEAR of volunteering, which is a ton, 10 hours per month for the auxiliary, and then i will stop the volunteering to fully once again concetnrate on just work and fitness - really no more time for much else!
I hope around the time of spring 2019 that there will be an entrance test for the NYS court officer exam - and then it'll be a 2-4 year wait till hiring process. I have high hopes. But i MUST keep increasing cardio during this time - and also building muscle by my current weight training of legs - i keep improving, so i have high expectations for success. I'll KEEP ON.
with success, it's about TIME. I can give and wait as time requires. I can do. I can have the rewards as long as i plan for it all...I AM. it's hard but possible.
_____________________________________________________________
I got to work on time, which seemed not possible at first due to high traffic that then obviously improved along the drive!
I have a union meeting at 6pm after work till approx 7pm.
I hope to be able to drive home with enough time to actually park my car at my garage and then walk the 10 minutes to the meeting, instead of parking at where the meeting is. Then i'll be able to walk to and from the meeting, a mile total!, and also a little walk at lunch with coworker as we are going to eat to celebrate my last week at this office before switching to a new office (new for me, it's not a brand new office just new for me to go to) with totally new commute also where i'll no longer drive which will work out JUST FINE :) i'm ok with all of the change, so far!
Progress as of today: 5 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!
It's a challenge, this is why i'm doing it.
Your job location is just changing, is your actual job title or anything else changing?
i puked up my dinner and then shat the rest of it out last night.

Too bad about the cold...weekend coming up luckily. Sounds like a nice lunch though!
Lunch had huge selection yes :)
the veggies also included nicely cooked spinach in with noodles in a garlic sauce...just amazing stuff. i tried to not eat too many noodles, but ate the bread! lately i eat the carbs, as they provide energy and also calm me down with the gas lol.
