Home kombucha 50

1st breakfast at work: 2 Godiva chocolates 200 and coffee 50

2nd Breakfast: 1/2 lg type of wrap 120, egg 80, 1/4 avocado 80. 300.

Noon: almonds 50 cal

Lunch:  same as 2nd breakfast 280 and 2 small orange peppers 70. total here 350, green tea decaf hot.

2 SHOTS AT WORK :) 200 left at 2pm :)

550 cals before and DURING (mostly during) workout: coffee, one piece of chocolate, 3 smallish bananas

550 dinner. filling.

2300, good.

7day: 2121 , decent.

On way home, if we get out early which is 99% right now to leave at 1pm: coffee and something semi sweet on the way to workout at home almost 99% sure we are NOT getting out early now! gym, bringing two small bananas to gym  also and my sugar free, caffeine free drinks too for what I'm ancticipating to be a full afternoon of GYMMING. like many hours there...prob 3hrs there with rest of course here and there.

ahhhhh...Russian nice coworker gave me 2 different CHEESE types of desserts. very large sizes and high cals...i may have to give to someone else or throw away as now the calories are just coming from everywhere and my body is rejecting it all...meaning, i just indulged in cookies for breakfast and i'm sick of the high cal consequences of weight gain. i'm really ready now to watch it :) for now.  i am prepared with a healthy second breakfast and lunch. my goals are now more important than more desserts.

although the fancy cheese desserts are russian and a gift of a coworker's WIFE now!!!! to me!!!! they are really good. trying to think what to do.

Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!

legcramps on 12/21/2018:
How nice to get some extra time off work! I think I might leave early on Monday, Christmas Eve. My boss said I should, so we'll see how much work I get done.

I would keep those desserts. Take them home; can you stand to keep them at your place and only have a little taste each day until it's gone? Sometimes I can't do that, but if you're really determined, you can make it happen and still be able to enjoy the gift!

horn_of_plenty on 12/21/2018:
I may not be able to do it because they are really different from what i normally eat and the calories, even per OUNCE (like golfball size) will be 200 cals. very high cal because they are mostly cheese. I do not want to throw them out, not sure what i'll do. maybe give them to a homeless person.

also, now it seems we may not be getting out early today...but at least we have Monday off.

horn_of_plenty on 12/21/2018:
You better leave early Monday!!!!!!!

BearCountryGG on 12/21/2018:
Cheese is a great source of calcium!!!!

Horn_of_plenty on 12/21/2018:
lol, yes

Horn_of_plenty on 12/21/2018:
gave it to one of the "regular" homeless men i see in my subway station near my apt coming home.

graindart on 12/21/2018:
Other than cheesecake, I can't really think of much in the way of cheese desserts. Maybe I'll google it later, too lazy / tired to even use google right now. Love cheese and love cheesecake, but hate the smaller portion sizes necessary to high calorie content.

Horn_of_plenty on 12/22/2018:
well one of these desserts i was given i hadn't seen before either. it was seriously like cottage cheese mixed with flour (but probably blended or something well) and fried. it looked like a fried potato treat, but it was made only from flour and cheese. i didn't even want to try that one.

the other was a heavy cheese danish type thing. with TONS of sweet cheese inside, of which i did try the smallest taste and realized it was way to rich and i'd do better staying away.

cheese and sugar = higher calories indeed. and the portion sizes like you say aren't worth it. i'd rather stick to individual serving chocolates. especially since these desserts i don't have often or at all, the desire to have a bigger slice would be there. so i didn't want any.

Before exercise: TBD

During Exercise: TBD

After Exercise: TBD - thinking to make cranberries again to have with a nice siggi's fatty yogurt..

I heard we'll prob get out early tomorrow, so, will make tomorrow my day for exercise assuming i'm getting home at 3pm, i'll go to the gym for fun...i hear we may be out at 1pm!

I'm trying to push it and get the exercise in today so that the weekend is smoother in terms of time i plan to exercise on Sunday.

Here's some food for thought:

It's someone's bday today. I like her and go out to lunch with her often just me and her. Well, my neighbor who works in that room with the nice woman who's bday it is just told me that she (my neighbor), another guy in the room (the big mouth Bengali guy Proj Manager), and one other guy who is older and like the bday girl's "work husband" - the three of them contributed ot pay for a WORKOUT BAG from Lululemon.

Wow. If you've not heard of lululeon, it's $$$$ workout clothes and loungwear and accessories. So, this bag is prob $100-$150. so, each of them contributed around $50 each. On top of contributing to her "holiday" gift not related to her bday gift that she'll get tomorrow..the holiday cash.

I think i've heard it all. First of all, i do NOT commend or agree with buying someone an overpriced gym workout bag. Like, are you serious!?  ARE YOU SERIOUS!? You're paying $$$ for a bag you will stuff in a gym locker and stuff with your dirty workout cothes an sneakers. What is wrong with them!? $50 each? ----that's my guess.

I will not be part. They didn't ask me and i'm glad i wasn't asked.  I don't spend $$$ on anything but food and that's MY perogitive. But, as a gift to someone else, why would we be expected to contribute 50 each!? are we rich all of a sudden? I already paid $10 for her holiday gift from the whole office (it's up to $300 now that she'll get as i'm in charge of it but i didn't initiate it - her "work husband - older man that gets along with her that also contributed to the gym bag came up with the idea for a holiday $ cash collection for her which i'm ok with).

Since when are we being so extravagent and purchasing top of the line gym bags? Who has that kind of $$$ laying around. Sorry, not a part of this nonsense. They can kiss up all they want to her. I paid $10 for the christmas gift to her. I'll also treat her to lunch with them (another $10) and i'll buy her a drink next week or something after work for happy hour. $30 is ENOUGH. dam* it with the spending already.!!!!

Man i buy my clothes from Old Navy (SEMI-budget pricing if you try to buy using their sales and deals) and workout stuff is the same.  and now that i'm working out at home i don't even always wear workout clothes sometimes just a tshirt and shorts.  I'm not going all out for someone else if i don't do it for myself, SORRY :)  Nobody got me anything for my bday except the bday girl...she treated me to Starbucks $10 and that was so nice of her. she likes to give. but, doesn't mean i have to agree with $50 all in one shot. i don't live my life spending. NO.

Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!

graindart on 12/20/2018:
So I guess I should stop waiting by the mailbox for the new dirtbike I was hoping you were going to have shipped for my birthday?

And stop eating cookies everyday. You're killing me with them. :) (Just call them something else.....like "flat flour discs" or something. That sounds less appealing.)

While my wife and daughters like Old Navy, it's still too rich for my blood. I buy the out-of-season clearance rack at Walmart for $1 per shirt and wear them for at least 10 years..... (Not completely true, but also not completely un-true. The truth is somewhere in the middle.)

Keep progressing with what you can control (exercise, food) and let the rest fall by the wayside. It's advice that would lead me to less stress......if only I were able to follow it more often.

Horn_of_plenty on 12/21/2018:
yeah, def not the dirtbike lol. i don't know, i just don't agree with it at work. i didn't grow up giving extravagant gifts.

you're even thriftier than i thought! way to go!

the cookies for breakfast for def not a normal cookie, the ones with the serving of veggies. i'll provide a link at some point. right now i forget the name of them and don't wanna search bc i'm getting ready for work...

i will take your advice and try to just stick with my decisions and control what i can and TRY to end the thoughts that are just taking up my time on things i cannot control :) it's GREAT advise to lessen stress you are so right on this.

the cookies and treats are at their upper limit at this point :)

BearCountryGG on 12/20/2018:
Those quest bars....cals aren't bad...but they remind me of eating play doh!!! Not that I have ever eaten play doh.....LOL..

horn_of_plenty on 12/20/2018:
good analogy. def just like warmed up play doh!!!!!!!!

Donkey on 12/21/2018:
I might have missed this. Why is everyone going all out for this co-worker with the gift-giving?

Horn_of_plenty on 12/21/2018:
i will write more about this, but very tired now...but will sum it up later this weekend <3

Edit: I did the 3mi walk home :) woohoo! it felt good bc it was 40 degrees, not lower (around 30 and very windy previously) like it was. and i always dress WARM. earmuffs and a scarf and hood and gloves. no need to freeze on the walk.

Getting nice exercise in on the commute home, when getting outta work on time at 5pm, has me reaching  my apt at 7:30pm. So, i came home, got things in order, put the hamster in the ball to run around, ate my dinner, and was in bed before 9. I did wake up in the middle of the night probably bc my brain was still really active after the day, but went back to sleep. Lately, i have few problems going back to sleep if i wake up. it's not a problem thankfully.

PLUS, they have now installled the lights in the new poles in the park area...i was smiling on the walk last night! The area had formerly been under construction for 6 months and it just ended. Finally, the area is LIT!

Morning: kombucha 50

8:30-9:15 Breakfast: wrap 80, egg 70, last leftovers of the Indian Okra spiced up well with ginger too 150 in oil i bought, so good! - so glad i didn't waste (throw out) any food as of late :), coffee 50, caramel truffle from coworker - why not!? i looked up the cals....crazy...100 cals per truffle for this brand (Olivia)...since cals were just at 400, i am giving it right now rather than deny...no need to feel slighted and binge right!?

snack: coconut chocolate bar atkins 170, later almonds 50

Lunch: one serving semi hard (really quite soft) tofu 50,i also brought tomatoes 50, a frozen "mashed cauliflower" Bird's Eye brand from my freezer which is light and low cal 150 for the WHOLE package of 3 servings and i did eat it all, not sure if i'll eat the whole thing,(running low on hot food now to bring - didn't cook on this previous weekend),  but i see myself buying chips perhaps as it sounds too low carb right now...Total here is 250. :)

...time to make today a good calorie day!

3pm sooo sleepy, coworker left and i'm very, very tired. had a small, strong 4oz coffee and a really cool 100 cal or so white chocolate truffle with coconut flakes (lots of them) inside it.

4:00pm 2 clementines, figure 100 cal. and some almonds 100

1300....600 dinner, banana in middle of night

2000 or so total

It was very difficult to get up bc went to bed semi-late. tonight, my main is goal ONE thing...sleep early. otherwise, my workout for Thursday will be difficult and i see the opportunity for me to get sick as a main possibility if i cannot start to sleep better during the week with less stres of work. It should work out, no more OT...just so far Monday and Tuesday night were busy / later nights.

And with rain projected for friday, my goal is just to do a little walking home tonight, sleep well, and exercise Thursday eve with Friday night only goal is to REST & chill out :)

I may begin to freeze more food, as a coworker suggested to me...so far i have some cooked meat frozen. perhaps i'll eat one of those packages come friday.  i don't use the freezer as well as i could to maximize eating well and budget better!

I'm prioritizing for stronger workouts, health & moderation so i can meet my main winter goal which is to KEEP BUILDING STRENGTH this weekend and not have any setbacks like previous winters.

a few years ago, i am thinking it was October-December juts up to Winter of January 2014, i had to take those 3 fall months off the gym due to injury and that was a high set back and January 2014 i was very weak and it took a long time to build back up my strength...maybe a full year?  Pushups, restarting them after 3 months off, was a terror. It was so hard to build up the strength again.

last year Winter 2018 i was set back by illness throughout the month of January.

Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!

I'm prioritizing for stronger workouts, health & moderation so i can meet my main winter goal which is to KEEP BUILDING STRENGTH this weekend and not have any setbacks like previous winters.

a few years ago, i am thinking it was Winter of January 2014, i had to take all winter off the gym due to injury and that was a high set back.

last year Winter 2018 i was set back by illness throughout January.

so this year, i'm being very preventative of a setback.

BearCountryGG on 12/19/2018:
I freeze a lot of food...leftovers stay in the fridge here for up to 4 days....after that...they go to the freezer or get tossed ( rarely)....bacteria starts growing right away........so no one needs food poisoning......I've never had it...and D got it from a restaurant once.....as long as we stick to the 4 day rule...then we do good.

horn_of_plenty on 12/19/2018:
so, after 4 days i should stick the food in the freezer and that'll be ok right? that would help me a lot...?

bearcountrygg on 12/19/2018:
Yes what you don’t use up in four days just put in one serving containers or zip lock bags and freeze. When you want to use them microwave and eat up that day

Horn_of_plenty on 12/20/2018:
Thank you for the important tips! I will take advantage of my newfound knowledge and attempt to be more careful and health-conscious with how i'm storing my food! :)

graindart on 12/20/2018:
Good job on the walking. While I've been doing a good job of controlling my eating, I haven't had any real desires to exercise lately. Kind of that winter mentality where I just want to hibernate......

horn_of_plenty on 12/20/2018:
I completely understand.

for me, i like to exercise and i like a challenge and to do things Opposite to what most people do. Most people will take the bus, duh!, as part of the 3mi or so commute home (for some the commute may be 1.5mi up to 3mi like mine). So, i like to be different. So i love it when i'm walking the route, the only route, and the busses all pass by crowded and loaded up with everyone. I smile knowing i'm being healthy to walk it on the days i choose!

Also, my job literally is sitting in one spot all day. My whole adulthood, i have been sorta OCD on fitting exercise into my life. After college when i got a job right away, i also was taking a Masters program for my first 3 years as a working adult when i was 22yrs old thru 25yrs old. I would be so angry on Thursday nights (towards the end of the program especially) because not only would the course be every Thursday for three years, it was a course that was sitting playing the French horn for a period of time just that was too long. It was 2 bands in a row, with two small 10 min breaks, rehearsing every Thursday of the school college year, 5:30PM-10:15PM. I'd get home close to 11pm, on Thursday nights for all of my first 3 years of teaching, and always wake up Friday groggy and tired with puffy lips from playing french horn for that extended period of time (i would never practice for that long a time! or play in ANY groups that would rehearse that long...it was two bands in a row once a week....). it was loud and lots of pressure to play well. And in the end, i not only disliked it but i HATED it with a passion.

I remember i would come home from work, do a little prepping, then I vividly remember as i still was living with my parents that at least once i was screaming how i was so angry to go off to this rehearsal, that wasn't even a for credit course just volunteer as part of the Master's program, that i'd have to sit there, skip or reduce exercise on those days...and that i just hated it.

little did i know that i'd be leaving my Teaching job after 4 years. And that my next job would be SOLELY sitting at a desk. And that i would soon after start working HOURS and HOURS of Overtime my first few years in this current industry. And that my goals in fitness and even for sleep would never be the same again.

Little did i know how "easy" the teaching field was in terms of free time and life-work balance compared to where i am at now.

I was so young and naive then. I have learned so much.

But despite so many ups and downs during my entire adult working years, I have managed in the end to come out successful with my weight and fitness and health.

I didn't have to be that way. At one point around 2013-2015 i was overcoming horrible leg issues of inflammation and shin splints from excess use.

I had to actually learn to pull back and not exercise if in pain.

I have had to learn so much. How not getting sleep and being an athlete are not compatible and lead to serious injuries. And how sleep prevents sickness a lot of the time.

I have learned how nutrition DOES make a difference in preventing sickness and injury.

I know that to be an athlete, you health has to be a little bit above the health of folks that do not exercise.

If i had known what i know now about teaching versus my current job, perhaps i would have tried a little bit harder to stay there.

even when i had this job my first year, i remember going on two more interviews to teach as i knew life would never be the same again. and that's what it's been.

when i see teachers complain and count down to their holidays, in my head i say it's funny because most other industries do not and will never ever have the amount of time off that educators get. of course they deserve it. but, for everyone else working an 8-5 job, life is more of a challenge and especially for special cases like mothers who work full time.

As you know, and now i'm just rambling, time is so precious. And I see it everyday. I see how people's lives are so intricately affected and I have seen what people sacrifice (for example, sleep) and i have made my decisions on what a good sacrifice is versus one i'd rather not take.

either way, little did i know where i'd end up. Life took me bc i was not so decisive, but now, there are some things i will not sacrifice and some things - exercise - i fight to keep and maintain and expand because i know in my heart what's worth it FOR ME better than i did in my early 20's...i think.

horn_of_plenty on 12/20/2018:
I hope that my LONG too LONG comment explains why i am exercising. i pride myself for going the route less desired.

Donkey on 12/20/2018:
Good for you for getting in the walking! When you wrote about prioritizing for stronger workouts - wow, that really hit me as to how to approach organizing my goals and aspirations for 2019 (and beyond). I'll write a little more about this in my own diary if I have time (and if I can remember what I wanted to say!).

horn_of_plenty on 12/20/2018:
I'd love to hear more about prioritizing for stronger workouts. so far, my plans are working out.

Lately like you i'm feeling very tired though because of the stress of OT mostly so i'm pulling back and trying to get myself feeling stronger so i do not get sick. Because you know exercise doesn't work out when you are sick.

Kombucha 50...i don't think i had another banana last night?

8:30am Breakfast is weird...someone's bday so i had some of her homemade cake which was awesome. 250??? it was one of those  "wet cakes" that would have some liquor in it. very good. Russian cake, she came here later in life. I hope not more than 250. and coffee 50. 300. other coworker made me an espresso too. lol. GOOD MORNING here!

8:30am I also, not knowing about the cake, was running decently on time so picked up an egg white omelette for a more satisfying and hunger preventing breakfast. turned out amazing. it was egg whites with turkey (and a really substantial amount of turkey!) tomatoes, peppers. nice. i still have half as it was big.  half the omelette: 250?

10am Snack:  Rest of the tasty turkey egg white omelette. i doubt it's more than 200, maybe less...maybe only 150?

11:30-12:00 150 in salted roasted almonds

Lunch: heathy from home, last of my soup 200! with extra tofu 100. and a wrap 100. 400.

Snacks: clementine 50

Snack before workout: big cookie 150 butter and coffee 50...

before and during workout:  2 sf drinks - 1 at start and one during  workout banana 120, reese's miniature 40, welches small bag fruit gummies (raiding my halloween mix) 80. no worries at this point!

after workout: Siggis triple cream vanilla yogurt 170, 3/4 the bag - cooked cranberries with stevia and a little saffron 150

total: 2200 :)

4day avg: 2075 - EXTRA GOOD as of now! i may try to keep it like this - below 2100 this week would be spectacular.

LEAVING ON TIME from now till my trip. that's it. 5pm.

i've been home since a little after 6pm and have been on the couch, relaxing and drinking a caffeine free drink until i am ready to work out :) ...tomorrow my goal is for sleep early - thankful for no more OT. need rest :)

After workout meal: probably yogurt and berries? ...YUP!

looking forward to lowering my stress levels, managng my credit cards...fixing the MTA issue - trying to get $360-$390 back from charges that didn't go towards a transportation card as i already am charged straight outta my paycheck but accidentally signed up for an extra service that i thought i had cancelled. i also just paid off another card again by accident extra $200 for a groupon i regurned!!!grrr....so that's fine.

i'll just plan to use the card more than my cash/debit card on vacation / or now  bc it will have a "surplus" of $200 since i returned what i bought on it. ...lately i'm just doing things with my money too much ahead of time - by trying to stay on top of things, i'm being so proactive that it's defeating the purpose bc i'm not thinking first!!!!!!

for now on when paying off cards, i'm going to have to "double check" what the charges are for, before i am pressing to just "pay" on my phone because i'm getting stupid with paying for things that i either return or shouldn't be charged for!

Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!

BearCountryGG on 12/18/2018:
When I look back to the days when we didn't have credit cards....and if we didn't have the cash...then we didn't get "IT"...whatever it was...we put so much more money in the savings account...we wore our clothes out....we ate up all most all of what was in the house before shopping...I used coupons and sales....and cooked with eye to total cost per meal.....life was so nice and simple then........shooping with credit cards ( which we now do)...is flat out dangerous....we pay more, we shop more, we buy our wants instead of our needs...I rarely use a coupon....we have clothes we never wear.....I pay bills without even looking at them sometimes.........I'm determined to do better in the new year...

horn_of_plenty on 12/18/2018:
I AGREE 100%!

In the new year, i'm going to be LESS eager to pay credit cards (bc i pay them mostly on my phone apps) and check TWICE before i pay to read EXACTLY what i'm paying for without just rushing a payment thru.

No more stupid payment errors on my end! It's not like i'm losing money, except on the MTA thing...which i'm trying to get back on this coming Monday/Wednesday i'll be calling them again.

But i'm annoyed i MOVED $200 from my checking to pay a credit card of which the amount on the card was for what was to be a finalized GROUPON RETURN! so i moved my money to the credit card for NO REASON and now i'm in surplus! just stupid! i'd rather have left the $ alone in my checking, DUH! lol stupid me~ i was too fast to pay it. and forgot to realize the $200 would be taken off in a few days!

Your mention of cake instantly brought about a craving. Fruit cake. I know that movies make fun of it and most people supposedly don't like it, but I like the unique flavor / dense texture of it. Or maybe it just brings back good holiday memories. I don't think it's something that I would want to eat a lot of and would probably be happy with just one piece, so maybe I'll be able to work it into my daily allotment. Tried some rum-soaked versions on a cruise to the Caribbean back a number of years ago and they were nasty. Maybe it's because I don't drink, but they just had one single strong flavor that was just overpowering (rum). Definitely prefer the run-of-the-mill grocery store version better. Haven't heard of any of my friends or relatives making them in decades.

And while I'm on the topic of holiday cravings. I've been doing a good job avoiding it so far, but have been craving one particular brand of eggnog. Saw it in the grocery store and figured I'd buy a carton of it, until I saw how many calories it had. One 12 oz glass of it would set me back 570 calories. That's crazy. And I knew that if I bought it, I'd end up drinking more than 1 glass.

Keep on maintaining through the holidays and I hope to join you in maintenance-land in the new year......

Horn_of_plenty on 12/18/2018:
so having cake 1st thing def got me hungry all morning. i should really know better by now! at least it was decent and not overly sweet!... i'd like a fruit cake too!

are you for real with the one class 570 cal!? so NOT worth it really! unless, it was a dessert or something not followed with anything else except like tons of cooked cranberries like i had tonight...that was pretty filling lol.

i didn't know you don't drink...why not? do you have a reason? i drink rarely, too. not often. it's such a waste of calories and sugar. you see, i don't even drink JUICE. so, drinking wine and alcohol goes against my idea of drinking calories. i only drink out. i had a phase of drinking at home to try different things and i was falling asleep well, but luckily the phase is gone. it lasted at least 6 months, ending around 6 months ago. i just felt the need to try all the alcohol i didn't try when i was younger, mostly beer and cheap alcohol you find at 7-11...all those sugary alcoholic drinks.

Donkey on 12/18/2018:
^ I LOVE fruit cake!!! (My kids think I'm nuts. Husband too, probably...)

Horn_of_plenty on 12/18/2018:
who doesn't like EVERY cake right!? i'm all for a fruit cake!

graindart on 12/18/2018:
The serving size they list for the eggnog is 4 oz at 190 calories. So that comes to 570 cal for a more typical sized glass in my house (12 oz). Don't think I've ever only filled a glass 1/3 full......

Several different reasons I don't drink (might expound on them at a later date). But basically it's a choice, not based on anything bad that happened or anything like that. Among the reasons is that I'm a light switch (just like food). Drank some in my early twenties, but hated the taste. So at that time I'd either not drink at all or drink as quick as possible to get straight to that buzzed / drunk state.

Have friends that drink occasionally now with a dinner and they enjoy the taste. For me, there's just no benefit to it since I don't like the taste and am not willing to gamble losing my current life (family, friends, profession, etc) by doing something stupid while drunk. Have a friend that's the nicest guy in the world now, but had a drinking problem for years. Over a fairly short period of 5 years and 2 or 3 DUI's, it cost him his construction business, wife, relationship with kids, driver's license, and a couple years behind bars. A more recent instance is the daughter of a good friend just went to jail for 2-3 years because she drove drunk and ran into someone killing them. She's missing some of the best years of her daughter's life in middle school / high school. She was also newly married and I doubt that the marriage will last until she gets out.

And by the way, I don't care if others drink responsibly. I just choose not to.

Horn_of_plenty on 12/20/2018:
I'm with you. Best to avoid something that could lead to so many problems! I totally am with you! That's a really unfortunate story about your friend.

Donkey on 12/19/2018:
I'm rather in the same club as Gains. I don't currently have a problem, haven't really had a problem, but, with my personality and stresses in my life, caught myself a couple of times starting to use it as a crutch. Like I need one more problem in my life? No thanks :)

horn_of_plenty on 12/19/2018:
Yes, i can relate totally because I myself have a very "addictive personality" and i'm prone to doing things in either excess or not at all, like my exercise, i'm either 100% in or 100% out of things.

so, on that note, it's also easier for me to mostly refrain from drinking. so i get it 100%. Totally on the same page with your thinking.

6:46pm edit: the OT i was doing was actually requiring standing up...and since i got two walking breaks also, i decided to finish the remaining 2 hours tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

16/16 hours OT DONE.

I did the OT in 8 days, so, if you average it, 2 hours per day. not a little bit. my hours, if i worked 2hours per day would be 8:30am-7pm everyday. however, on those days some were as little as 1/2 whereas other days i did up to 4 hours. glad it's freaking done!

i will not work OT, i pretty much refuse, until Spring. Very sick of it.

my company doesn't pay anyways for OT. it was to get the 2 days off. but it stressed me out like NO OTHER. and i'm very done with it right now.

4:20am small banana 100

Kombucha 70

Breakfast: half a flatbread of hgher cal type 120, egg 80, one tasty white chocolate filled something from coworker 80? coffee 50. 330

snack: some almonds and the chocolate covered coconut bar atkins still not sick of these 200

noon snack: 3 russian dark chocolates from ANOTHER coworker!!!!! for realz! i could have had just 1 but sorta hungry right now and it's sorta lunchtime and still going out to walk before i actually eat...splurging going on but in the best way!

Lunch, from home so healthy: Veggie soup leftovers from last weekend..yup...i got it for one more day...didn't want to throw this stuff out! broth 50, veggies 100, tofu 50. that's it. 200-250.

Snack: i have almonds and clementines, i also have a wrap 120 with oily okra spread 130if i want...healthy...leftovers also all the way from last weekend lol...not a fan of throwing the good stuff out...and last week ate out so much that i wasted eating these things while they were fresher! ..would be a nice snack, 250...

4pm coffee and cookie 100 or a little more...good, chocolate 100

Dinner: pumpkin pie siggi's yogurt 140, stevia and just a hair of spicy saffron cooked cranberries 50, banana 120, ice cream 100...400!

2000 :) wowwwww! nice!

Will do an hour OT till 6pm today - should be easy bc i went out on a quick errand in the morning for my supervisor and i'm going walking at lunch...maybe i'll just do the TWO HOURS today???

Need to clean hamster cage tonight...also would be good to do  some walking home from Subway....so the OT is probably NOT a good focus for today....

After writing this, I just realized something: do the walk tonight, clean the hamster cage, do ONE hour OT is more than enough.

Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!

Donkey on 12/17/2018:
Wow, you're up early. Putting in OT early on in the day? I do that sometimes. It's much easier than staying late.... sometimes.

horn_of_plenty on 12/17/2018:
i just woke up bc i guess the extra sleep and exercise started to get me up...but i just ate the banana..and went back to bed.

lately, i'm waking up sometimes and going on my phone for a few minutes....but nothing major and i love that i'm going back to bed...and i def got a lot of sleep all weekend lol...

but yeah, i was up and ended up prepping food and stuff...

i only forgot my book :( to read on my commute :( but the cell phone worked so that's good! haha....

enjoy your day jdonk!

BearCountryGG on 12/17/2018:
Almost done with that pesky overtime.......

horn_of_plenty on 12/17/2018:
lol, yes, i was debating skipping so i can go home, make a pumpkin pie cheesecake and clean hamster cage, but i'd rather get the OT done ! and have it off my mind!

legcramps on 12/17/2018:
The chocolates and baking are starting to show up here at the office too; thankfully I am in my own office and I don't have to see it or smell it all day long, but everytime I have to walk over to the scheduling office, I walk right past it - so hard to resist! Which is crazy, because most of the food is all packaged stuff like chocolate-coated cookies and wafers. I don't even like it, but it still tempts me just because it's there!

horn_of_plenty on 12/17/2018:

Slept in at parents, as i slept over and left this morning as to not have to drive while tired last night! I stayed in bed till 9am which was BEAUTIFUL!

9:30am-10:30am Tasty Breakfast:  Baguette bread parents' had just bought, toasted. 200 cal. with cream cheese 100 cal and lox 100 cal. so good! and a hot pomegranate green tea. yum yum. soon after i had some fruit my mom had prepared the night before, will just say 100 cal. there. 500 total...i forgot, a piece of angel food cake...100?

1pm back home at my apt:  flax wrap 150, tuna in oil 100, leftover baked squash fries 100, chedder flavor cauliiflower crackers 100. 450. good! need to drink more ...will go to the gym after i'm feeling "recharged" lol.

2:30 high sugar snack: 2 pieces of high cal cookie dough, unbaked. i had ordered it preportioned (best idea!) from a coworker. it says each piece is 140 x 2 = 280 cals... ! it was good cookie dough :) and a coffee, cold brew that i picked up earlier from supermarket. 50 cal...around 350

during workout: banana, 3 clementines. 200 or so.

After workout: plain cauliflower crust with some saffron on some of it 300, 1 egg and one egg white 100. 400 total. i really want to start making the pumpkin pie, but it's almost 9pm...hmmm....i think it has to wait. i relaxed too much i guess today...no worries. not going to lose sleep over making a pumpkin pie. and sleeping was a much better idea this weekend. i have to also make the crust, so, this will wait. tomorrow i'll also clean this hamster cage. i'd rather just relax tonight, being it's a quarter to 9pm.

I worked out on and off from 5-8:30. the reason it took so long is because i started making the miami plans and other plans thru texting...and researching during the workout. it was quite productive and i even bought something very much on sale on groupon - saving $50 on top of the groupon price for two people to scuba dive. so, it was a productive night with the plans....other plans, well, i couldn't get in touch with some people not sure why, one person, but time will tell!

2000 total.

2day: 2050 per day.

I Decided that i'd rather stay home and do a home workout and skip out on the gym...the weather here is chilly, damp and rainy and i'd rather save time and be home working out. also means i do not have to care about how i look much and where whatever i want here at home.

I had breakfast with my folks and soon after i left to do a food shopping at their local supermarket as it's huge compared to Queens' supermarkets. However, i wasn't impressed by anything. the prices were on the higher side and the baking section was void of any of the new baking powders like almond powder....the only section that was well stocked were the yogurts. higher variety. as well as an area of kombucha ! and i did find more cranberries and find some tasty seltzer. however, nothing was on sale much. i got a few deals, but, like i said, not impressed. I also saw a new brand of light ice cream & of course i bought it!

Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!

graindart on 12/16/2018:
I've been buying a fair amount of yogurt lately since I've been finding different flavors available in some of the lower calorie selections. It's one of the ways I've been satisfying my pumpkin pie cravings. Eating a 80 calorie yogurt instead of a 250-400cal piece of pie. Also enjoy the cherry chocolate cake flavored yogurt to kind of satisfy my sweet chocolate cravings.

They obviously don't taste as good as the real thing, but seem to curb my desire enough to not go off-plan.

BearCountryGG on 12/16/2018:
Basic large grocery stores don't seem to cater to the same clientele as the smaller health food or ethnic stores......The big stores don't sell the specialty things quick enough. They buy inquantities that can't be moved in time.

Donkey on 12/17/2018:
How nice that you decided to spend time with your folks: dinner and a sleep-over! Ahh, that just sounds so nice. In this respect, I do wish we lived closer to my family in Vegas. It would be nice to do things with them more often.

14/16 OT hours done!

2300 cal, no drinks!!!...the project manager guy never left and stayed till 9 with us...he works in same room as my coworker. so we only got some dinner and ate back at work.

7day: 2188 cal per day.

Kombucha 60

8:45am 1st Breakfast: the second half of the Lenny & Larry's cookie from a couple days ago, still fresh bc i kept it in a tuberware. 210 and coffee 40. At 10:00am after running an errand i also had a small snack of 3 hershey's kisses 80.

11am Snack: wrap 80, egg 70, 1/2 avocado 150. 300 healthy. garlic and sea salt.

12:30-1pm 2 hershey's kisses, waiting on a nice coworker to do walking, holding off on lunch till later :) 50, 8 almonds: 50

Lunch: def my leftovers from home - all from a slowcooker dish i made, tasted outstanding, tofu small piece 50, root veggies - carrots and parsnips 150, cabbage 50, in bone broth 50. 300-350 tops.

Snack: 2 clementines, a magnesium drink supplement 100 cal total

almost 6pm: almonds 100

..calories are nice....hoping to have a nice glass of wine out at bar....soon, but, the Guy Proj Manager is here sorta LATE!? he usually leaves early Fridays so i'm really confused....? the shots never happened!!!!!! :) woohooo.it's almost 6pm, i think he'll leave soon...other coworker and i have to wait till he leaves in order to go outside and get food and wine.

Dinner: ? Male coworker decided to STAY! so me and her and HIM went to get food at the buffet, wine needs to obviously wait...!...at least dinner was very healthy: some kinda fish, bigger piece sorta dry but healthy 350??, brussel sprouts 150, salad and some cole slaw 100, and lots of cucumber/tomato salad 100? and a drink 50. so, 750 tops.

2100...eesh. i guess my drink later...yeah...maybe i just should get a vodka in seltzer and use stevia...i just might.

flavored vodka ??

From 5-9pm will be at work, probably though one of those hours will be a full dinner break, so, lol, it's not as bad as it sounds :) Everything is up in the air in terms of food around that time.

My goal is to keep my entries a little more organized compared to yesterday's entry on here. It was so messy, i had to actually "clean it up" bc it made me "sick" to look at the mess it was! LOL, it is a complete replica of how i'm feeling right now! But i'm happy, doing things to keep my sanity and stay healthy.  Eating well and will def sleep in tomorrow. I may reach for a sleeping pill tonight but refrain for the rest of the weekend. I'm ready to sleep away my mind!

I'm here till 9pm tonight and i think a coworker will be ont he subway with me and then giving me a ride home, i think..that's good..I will get decent walking in today already. I walked in morning to bus 10min or so, walked to work from subway 5 min, walked doing an errand after coming to work for my supervisor (10min each way - so 20min), walking at lunch around 15min, walking tonight during dinner break at least 20 min). total walking today: approx 55 minutes...decent enough for me!

Regarding tomorrow, i will not drive to parents as i'm rather beat and tired. The OT has been annoying and stressful and my workout suffered last night - it was one of the weakest workouts i have had all YEAR since getting back into things really well last Spring. I was depleted in energy, lack of sleep, and weak bc i skipped a workout last week on Thursday. So, it impacted my workout and i noticed right away. The sets of pushups were more diffiult as was EVERYTHING in general. In general, all my sets were weak and the # of reps declined a bit last night. I just did the workout to get it done. To use the muscles.  It's a reminder that i have to take care of myself OR I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO IMPROVE on my fitness. At 36, my body is not getting younger. I'm now eating better for my fitness goals but now sleep and the lack of it as well as stressful schedule are things that i plan to diminish in the New Year. I will not be working OT in the New Year. We do not get paid for it. I'm only doing it now to get two extra days off - Christmas Eve and New years Eve...which is awesome to be home and sleep in on those days! :)

However, I cannot continue with this type of hectic OT schedule after my hours have been completed and made up. I don't have time to "give up" or energy to "give away" for this company without being compensated. So, on that note, I will be giving into self care in the new year, particularly leaving assignments till morning if need be...i'm sure there'll be exceptions...but in general, i need my time back after work...and i need my hours of sleep most nights. I need a better schedule to be more productive for MY goals, and not just everyone else's (like the work i do for my administrator, for example).  I have to refocus in January.

Even before January, I will soon start planning Miami. I do not have time right now, yet, to give it any thought at all.

Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!

BearCountryGG on 12/14/2018:
You have been getting lots of walking in, maybe you are just getting depleted of energy...but...I can attest that age is not kind.....and things will get more difficult strength wise, health wise and energy wise......not fun...but true....are you still taking a multiple vitamin?

horn_of_plenty on 12/14/2018:
FULLY de-energized over here. i could sleep 2 hours straight if i had a bed and private room now :)

horn_of_plenty on 12/14/2018:
low on energy and unlike people who first get sick, i first get low energy...emotionally i get depressed. it's like before i'm even sick, i'm emotionally sick.

legcramps on 12/14/2018:
Big day for OT today! I hope you get to catch up on a little sleep over the weekend; it's such a stressful time this time of year, and even more so because you are having to put in extra time at work. Your goals for the new year sounds fantastic! I should adopt this type of schedule as well :)

Make sure you don't overdo it and stress yourself out. Everyone has limits!

horn_of_plenty on 12/14/2018:
thank you for the advice not to overdo...i do have my limits...they're feeling as if i'm at the max. too bad i gotta stay here so late...i'd be more productive sleeping...except, i will catch up a TON with things that are looming in deadlines...in order to be way more productive than usual produvtivity in a week. mostly what i have to do tonight involves tasks that are just very tedious rather than hard. so, a drink or two shouldn't phase me completely :)

i did end up working an hour OT...now i'm tired at home, its 8pm, i'm just starting this workout - working till 9pm tomorrow....

10/16 hrs OT.

Home: kombucha 60...and while i was drinking this AM, i even hard boiled some eggs...since i just used the last of the earlier batch! lol....

8:30-9am Breakfast: wrap 80, with an egg and saffron spice as well as garlic/salt 70, 1/2 small side of an avocado 150. 300. and my last of the godiva chocolates 50.

10am Snack 1: 200 atkins bar coconut thing..but leaning on healthy...my skin is rather shot due to stress...i have an annoying red splotch as well as healing acne near my chin. ah well, it will improve. as of late, my skin has just as many good days as bad...compared to other times when my skin was poor more frequently than it was good ;)

11am Snack 2: almonds 100

My supervisor wanted to go out to lunch, luckily i didn't pay for hers. once again my food is saved for now FRIDAY...at least i ordered healthy food per the book and not paying for crap! small piece of salmon 200?, fried rice (change of pace) 200, broccoli raab 100?, and brussel sprouts roasted 150. 650. at least there's health in all of it.

snack: i got clementines / almonds..(right now they are the salted, roasted type).150 :-)

very good, more importantly, a healthy day.

Before workout: it will be prob a coffee 80 and  bar 80, blueberries 150. 300, banana during workout 120

10pm After workout: small bit of whipped cream 50, small bit indian okra 100 in yogurt 150, cooked cranberries with stevia and saffron 50. 350

2270, soungs good to me!

6 day: 2170, fine

Looking forward to my workout & knowing sleep will come easily when it's complete.

Last night, OT turned to 1.5 hours. So far, I've completed 9/16 hours OT.  I think, besides one person who always does the OT and is sooo not into exercise, I am the one wth the most OT hours right now...honestly, my hours for these couple weeks might even beat out that other person, as i do more than him on Fridays so it will average out.

On this Friday, I'm doing FOUR OT hours, 5-9pm, with coworker that isn't in my room but on this floor. However, we will def pull strings: we are going to take around a half hour of that OT to go to a bar and get a drink.(once everyone else goes home!) ..YES...i'll make sure it goes smoothly. i have NO worries at all...  :)  Why punish yourself completely...make some fun out of it, no!?

should be home around 10-10:30pm friday night from work. shoot....so nevermind going to bed EARLY hahaha.

Then, we'll come back here with some dinner and do work. :)  It is what it is...nobody else is making up hours like this...so, like i said, no worries.

I slept like a rock....could have used 2 more hours, for sure. but sound sleep it was!

In the back of my mind i'd rather sleep early tonight than work out, but if i push off a workout it will affect the times of the next workout as well as my weekend plans, so, tonight is one last workout and sleep in SATURDAY :) i also plan to see my parents Saturday to have a meal together.  i asked parents to skip driving to them.....too tired for it and i want to bake.

I'm happy to say that last night i walked home (even after working OT), 7:30pm-8:30pm 3mi walk from the subway...you see, there's no excuses when you want something bad enough and for me it's to continue my cardio thru the Winter. The first two miles was a breeze, last mile i had my heavy backpack and it got uncomfortable......BUT WORTH IT.

....it's like when Gains talks of wearing a Weighted Vest!

It felt good to move, my body was up for it completely last night :)...there's a Vitamin Shop near the subway where i tend to buy a no caffeine, carbonated drink that i enjoy for the 3mi walk....

Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!

BearCountryGG on 12/13/2018:
That was quite a walk in the dark......does it scare you?

horn_of_plenty on 12/13/2018:
most is thru community and very "lit" as i do not live in the "back country" like you do...lol...

however, there's one spot that is not lit. i do NOT KNOW WHY! it's the most frustrating thing. sometimes the road is busy and sometimes not. So, when no cars happen to be going by, there's an under 5 min stretch thru the one part of the walk that is NOT residential and instead it's along a semi-busy (depends on time and day) of multi-lane roadway that is bordered on both sides by empty parkland / marsh.

The tall pole lights are NEVER on, during this under 5min stretch and it's a little uneven / poorly paved area. It's soooo annoying that there's not more light. Additionally, there's nowhere to stop and sit or anything to hold onto...so, for that time, you need to be "on your way" and not "stopping to smell the roses!"...i really do not know why NYC is not lighting those pole lamps. they are there, just unlit.

when cars are driving by, it feels better when i walk that area, bc they provide bits of light. otherwise, it really is annoying. it's not pitch black though...there's lights coming from other areas. ...just not directly overhead. which is soooo weird!

in the end, sometimes i do get anxious on the walk. especially that piece...but i tell myself it's good to experiece, that i'm capable, that i can get thru :) and i do :) it's a challenge. not many people walk it. sometimes i come across nobody. if i pass someone or come across someone, it's usually just one person walking over that way....but it's not really unsafe, just not a high pedestrian stretch.

horn_of_plenty on 12/13/2018:
when i say "thru community," i mean it's residential around expensive homes on one side, and most of the time right alongside the apts and less expensive typical queens homes for most of the route.

the route also goes over two main shopping areas...it's a decent 3mi route in terms of variation in sites and surroundings.!!!!

BearCountryGG on 12/13/2018:
Do you carry pepper spray or something? Back in the day when I sold real estate I always carried pepper spray...almost had to use it twice but they got the point and backed off.....I still keep a jack knife with me.....although I have trouble getting it open...LOL

Horn_of_plenty on 12/14/2018:
i am very bulked up walking in winter and i think i'd end up spilling the pepper spray or spraying myseelf....but your idea of course has been considered before i turned it down....

...i feel it IS SAFE....just a frustrating walk in the Winter....

I will keep on... :) and maybe call NYC to complain of the lights.

graindart on 12/13/2018:
So the poles in the dark area......

1) no light receptacles at all or 2) someone keeps knocking the bulbs out of commission?

Horn_of_plenty on 12/14/2018:
ohhh, i believe they should have light receptacles...they are light poles...

but they are off.

i may call write an email, when i have time, to complain to NYC...it's the worst thing for pedestrians and safety!

Donkey on 12/13/2018:
Looking forward to sleeping like a rock tonight for myself. Definitely called for. I do not know how you will manage 4 hours of OT tomorrow, but I guess if you are with a friendly person, and your "break" is during happy hour, it becomes more fun :)

Horn_of_plenty on 12/14/2018:
i am looking forward to getting the 4 hours done for those reasons. i will get to work alone also...i added some music to my phone so it works since we don't have good wifi...so i can listen to music tonight too, while i work.

frustrating other coworker, the one who said i'd be fired before the other girl, says he wants to do "shots" of this liquor we had made....its herbs with rum and we'd made it and it's ready...

but it wasn't the plan for Friday night at all....

i totalyl really don't want a shot...

i was going to go to happy hour with my female coworker around 6 to enjoy a nice glass of wine before getting dinner and coming back to work!

yesterday, when he bothered me about drinking the drink that's been in his desk drawer since mid-November ready to drink, i should have said NO, I am working OT and i do not want to have it....i may just turn him down today. i shouldn't have to YES YES YES people.

sorry ranting.

yesterday i went to work with my "supervisor" (she doesn't like to be thought of as my superior) and she used the time we were sitting at lunch to contact an electrician friend of hers who came over since it was by his job where we were eating. he stood next to HER only while we ate, so i couldn't hear him or the conversation in the loud room...and i decided to jsut have lunch...and not mind them.

lately, i'm annoyed doing anything with anyone. LOL.

BearCountryGG on 12/14/2018:
I would deinately say a big NOOOOOO to drinking with big mouth guy!!! Just say NO...it is your right and who knows what he is thinking.....Go with your gut!

horn_of_plenty on 12/14/2018:
Okay, this advice has been considered.

horn_of_plenty on 12/14/2018:
i will turn down the shot as your advised. it's so not worth it. i'll taste it when i'm not working OT...and no staying here...and have no plans to have a glass of wine after! lol. i cannot wait to say NO.

Donkey on 12/14/2018:
I think you need to take a pass on the Mr. Big Mouth. Don't set yourself up for another opportunity for him to bash you. Food for fodder, so to speak. STAY FIRM ON YOUR BOUNDARIES!!!!

horn_of_plenty on 12/14/2018:
OK...I will say NO...that i'm waiting till the next opportunity to take a shot and NOT tonight :) totally gonna say no!!! great ideas from you and BCGG.

there will be more to have next time..we're not using it up...so, i'll just say no!

perfect time for me to back out...and keep my boundaries! THANK YOU!

I'll throw him for a perfect loop! thanks!

(counting calories/walking/elliptical/weights)
Weight: 114.0

1:30am  Banana 120, seltzer with stevia...luckily able to mostly go back to sleep after around half hour on the internet...my mind was still running as it was a social night...the meeting ends with dinner so i was there later and it was good.

Kombucha, larger amount, worked 80

Breakfast from home, so good, a wrap 80 with leftover indian okra all spiced / oiled up so well yum 150, and 1 egg 70: 300, so good, so healthy! glad i picked up that okra when i was in that area of queens on Sunday :-D

Snack: ATKINS coconut chocolate covered bar 200

Noon till 1pm: dark choc covered raisins 100, and a few more 50

Lunch: CHANGED MY MIND. bought buffet lunch of cooked cabbage 150 and sorta bigger portion of corned beef 400...wasn't impressed and realized in many ways i did a better job when i cooked it in the slow cooker!! ..later a small cookie and an espresso from coworker. 50. total here 600. and a truffle 50. and another tasty truffle :)

4:30-5pm snacks: clementine and later a 100 cal no nitrate jerky. 150 total. decent by me :)

1.5 HRS OT

1700 before going home :)

2150 total

2150 5day

dinner: not sure, but i don't see it being large...and i think i'd prefer a "dessert" with my cooked cranberries...with like whipped cream...lol...we'll see.

I bought $40 Godiva 50 pieces of truffles and gave them out along with raspberries to my coworkers on the floor.

at the meeting last night, good i went, i was the big raffle WINNER: $283. Well, this is one of the first times i've ever been a "winner" so that was great!

I was prob home around 7:30 and inudlged in eating good servings of the fried chicken hero, the bread, and a big oatmeal raisin cookie. I woke up in the middle of the night both with a small appetite and very thirsty...the food must have been very salty. even my fingers were a little swollen!

However, today at work, i will use *SOME* to buy desserts for the office at my lunchtime break. i want to save it mostly and bring it with me to Miami. so, the plan is to save at least $200...at home and use it for Miami as some $$ for when i'm there 2 weeks mid-january. i have not made ANY plans yet for there. I'll think about it most likely the end of the month. It's not a high budget trip. just a long getaway. once again, staying with a friend and her husband.

Some activities to soon be on the Miami agenda: ziplinging definite, perhaps a waterpark, Day trip to Bahamas, concerts of my friend who's a French horn player, seeing my friend the French horn player just to catch up (not the woman i'm staying with..), gym on Mondays, Wed, Fridays, Beach, Walking the boardwalk?, Biking on a boardwalk?, prepping salads for dinner at the apt i'm staying, cooking chicken burgers i guess? - something easy, prepping hard boiled eggs for them to bring to work, perhaps making them egg sandwiches in wraps for breakfasts :)...taking care of them my first couple days there...museums (but really prefering outdoor things...)..and that's a short list to be expanded and worked on!

Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!

pinklatte on 12/12/2018:
Congrats on the raffle win!

Horn_of_plenty on 12/12/2018:

horn_of_plenty on 12/12/2018:

pinklatte on 12/12/2018:
... what do mean you almost didn't take the money. Always. Take. The Money. (If it's yours.) :D

horn_of_plenty on 12/12/2018:
well, my father is very active in the union and i am thankful to have a job and work thanks to him in this industry and sometimes that is enough...but they also encouraged me to take it...i'll use it on my trip :)...good advice from you!

BearCountryGG on 12/12/2018:
In answer to yesterdays question from someone...YES...you did get paid for going to the union meeting...LOL........NICE WIN!

horn_of_plenty on 12/12/2018:

BearCountryGG on 12/12/2018:
Gotta love meetings where they feed you After THE MEETING...lol.....SIT HERE..LISTEN...VOTE......AND IF YOU LEAVE no soup for you!!!

horn_of_plenty on 12/12/2018:
haha....i can't agree more tho...makes sense to eat AFTER...so people actually listen and do not talk during :)

legcramps on 12/12/2018:
Yes, garlic is so good for us! Congrats on winning!

I should make our board members eat after their meeting tonight, LOL, oh my goodness they would probably freak out on me!

horn_of_plenty on 12/12/2018:
it's nice to have a little something...even decaf / reg coffee with a cookie. makes people happy. even waters.

horn_of_plenty on 12/12/2018:
very happy to win. i'll waste a little on desserts i'm buying here in NYC for the office, but, most $$ saving to use (i'm sure it'll be used so fast!) in Miami.
