So far, my trusty Kombucha 50 :)

Breakfast of a coffee i splurged on for $1.75 from my favorite Spice Grill takout Indian place in the city...i was running early so i did extra walking there and back. around 20 min walking or a mile this AM prior to coming to work :) 50 cal.. and an entenman's cookie bar (change of pace, finishing stuff i have at home that i'm bringing to work) 150.. 200  here.

Mid Morning: wrap, 80, egg 80, half small avocado 150, smoked sea salt. 300 total approx. 

11am bar 200

Lunch: all from home, i even have the bone broth also (yesterday i didn't bring liquid as i was worried about it spilling on  my commute, but i packed it better today!) extra tofu 150, veggies and broth 200. total here not more than 350 all healthy.

snacking:so far, 1 clementine 50 mixed nuts around 100 cal.


Dinner:fried chicken 400?, bread 400, oatmeal cookie big size 300. 1100?

2350? ugh.

4day: 2150

I have a UNION MEETING...at this meeting, they usually serve those 6' heroes...that are all sliced up like for a party....Meeting is at 6pm...So i leave work around 5pm normal time, meeting 6-7pm, home around 7:30 to relax before Wednesday!... :)

nope, it's voluntary and a problem already as most of the members in my "administrative" office division never attend. I'd approximate that 5% of members or less in the ADM office division attend...if that.

being who i am, ode to my dad...etc...i go. plus, i live a ten minute walk away. others that live by me don't even always go...but...not my problem. this is a meeting i go to as often as i can...6x a year they are held.

I've been working on using everything in the fridge / pantry for meals this week. Running out of the normal things after today. Might be some interesting combinations over the next few days as I try to use as much miscellaneous stuff as possible.

Shortly after we got married...i was 17..He was 18...I made beef stew for the 1st time....I started it way too early...and was happy that D finally got home...but he ran in the door...said he and his Dad had to go back to Detroit for a union meeting and he needed his dues book........and after spending about 5 hours on that stew..(standing at the stove)...I was a bit upset...to put it mildly.....He did eat it when he got back home...and it was fine......I think about that every time I make stew....Funny...but over time...he figured out when the meetings were and let me know ahead of time...I don't think he wanted another night like that...LOL

the good thing about the union events and meetings is that they are well organized. there's almost no reason to not be able to plan and schedule in advance, similar to all the following meetings D went to!

9:30 dark choc covered raisins with the second cup coffee...just doing what i have to do to feel good here. 100

10:30 protein cake bites, not great, but filling. 250

Close to noon snack: cauliflower almond flour crackers 100...very hungry...due to more caffeine, etc. doing good though.

I brought my lunch :) tofu 100, roasted squash with skin 200, veggies including cooked cabbage 150. 450. so healthy but wishing it had been a bigger portion! - tomorrow it will be! and a bit of chocolate after lunch 100

and snacks :) clementines :) - 2 smallish clementines 50

coffee and granola bar 150, later blueberries 150. and lg banana 150

after workout:cauliflower crust, some cooked cranberries.

No OT today...going home to do my wonderful weights routine :)...doing it today because tomorrow i have a Union Meeting back near my apt at 6pm after work....

....So, no OT tomorrow. Wednesday, the schedule is more OT again, just one hour as to not exhaust myself...

Thursday will be a nice exercise session  in the eve again at my apt, and Friday i have a LONG OT scheduled, 4 hours, WITH COWORKER...

...and Friday you can bet we'll be heading over to a HAPPY HOUR and ordering a glass of wine (like a lunch break) during those hours of 5-9pm overtime. When in the city, there's a bar at every corner just about...so yeah. It's the only way...NOBODY else is working these hours in the office. We work practically right at Rockefeller Center.



Anyone wondering, yes, my sleep was nice and long. could have even slept longer. just up to pee twice. probably slept from 6:30pm-5:45am. My muscles actually feel stronger today, let i can sit up taller at my desk here at work :) I may do this technique of a long sleep next Sunday, too.  It's not a good habit to have, but good once in awhile under the kind of boredom / long hours i'm having at work it's good to just "knock out" before it begins again...today :)

I like your plan for the week. It sounds like a nice balance to get through a heavy workload. And I'll be very envious when you have those days off, and I'm at work. That's OK!

In the spirit of getting good sleep, I too went to bed on the earlier side, at 9pm. I thought about doing stuff to stay up later, and then I was like, Nah, going to go to sleep.

i wanted to comment right away back to you, because i was scrolling thru my entries and noticed that i hadn't been commenting back to you when you left me comments...for no good reason other than i was probably already onto my next entry...but i have been meaning to tell you that i appreciate your support especially in regards to the OT stuff that i have to do...because even writing it here and having the support of DD watching over me, it helps me get it done.

i appreciate all the support you've always given me and also the advice... :)

yeah, i'm not recommending my sleeping pill idea to ANYONE, but i'll say that sleep is necessary especially when things get rough! :)

on those days off, one day is already BOOKED with TWO drs appts...and i will be planning Miami...

Oh no, please do not ever worry with me about responding or not. I know that you read my entry. I don't always respond either - mostly because if I'm on my phone, I refuse to do so.

OTC sleeping pills don't do it for me. I use melatonin. Before I used Sleepytime Tea, but then I'd sometimes have to go to the bathroom during the night. Both have been very helpful. I'm not at the point where I need a prescribed sleeping pill, thankfully, but I believe that you are using yours as a responsible person should: as a tool, not a crutch.

the sleep felt good. i hope i'll sleep well now all week. sometimes, i cannot sleep after all the extra sleep, but, i do not foresee this to be the case right now :)

Slept really well after a good workout last night :)

8:30am Light breakfast on purpose: half a peanut butter lenny & larry's protein cookie 200 and a kombucha 50

10:30am 2nd breakfast: at a colombian place where friend lives, surprisingly it was excellent. bigger coffee seems extra milk 100, some kinda dessert 300, and tastes of an empanada 100/ total here 500?

12:30pm snacking while doing errands 150 granola bar

2pm light meal: greens 50 and some of the bhindhi masala i picked up 350 approx.follwed a bit later by an egg and like half another egg. 150

4:30-5pm greek yogurt, cooked cranberries 200; other half pb protein cookie frpm this  morning, laundry is done,  bed soon. never made the pumpkin cheesecake - next weekend.


2day:2000 - needed this..

...i think it may be a lighter week in terms of cals...also, i'm going to make sure to stick with my OT schedule, and not do extra that doesn't need to be done...bc i am starting to get tired out.

wow...i just added a few pinches of saffron into cooked cranberries with stevia...perfecto addition.


Going to meet my friend at 10am for a small coffee / brunch, the one that last time had forgotten her keys at my gym!, for breakfast to catch up. we're eating by her, since she doens't have a car, i'll drive to her and it's near her. we'll catch up and discuss what we're each up to...and it should go better than it did a few weeks ago with all the excess driving and stress a few sunday nights ago!

we were supposed to use my $25 gift certificate for hibachi style japanese and it would have almost been a free lunch, but, she turned out being busier than expected so we moved our get together up to 10am from the previous 12pm...it's fine, and better than having to cancel completely as i was looking forward to being social and seeing her.

I'll be then picking up the cream cheese to make the cheesecake, also picking up a few fruits and veggies - no need to buy any meat...maybe a tofu pack though.

Lastly on my list is laundry...and i may take a sleeping pill around 4pm to go to bed extra early (like around 6pm) as i'm feeling way too tired already today since it's a very stressful month with the OT and extra commitments for me, and i would like to have extra rest tonight if possible...I'm just tired due to long days and lots of sitting in the same spot doing the same work. I don't mind tonight to conk out early :)



Turns out i had unintentionally signed up for MTA easy pay program (i was thinking i could recieve a half fare price, half what i pay now, but it wasn't the case and i had a difficult time cancelling it - so little did i know i've been charged ever since i filled out the forms online.  ooops...big oops) and I have been charged $30 per week since at least OCTOBER! I haven't used this program, so i'm going to fight for a full reimbursement.  It's $360 in charges after i did the math, i need to check my bank statements. I caught it late, so late, because i don't use the card often and hadn't looked at the statement but was wondering why the costs were increasing so fast on the card...sheesh.

I already use a pre-tax commuter benefit card from the MTA...so, i hope they see that i do not need TWO unlimited metro cards when one unlimited card is simply enough for one person!....

...I really hope to get these wasted charges credited back. A lot of my $$$ issue then will be 100% better. This is another reason why i have been feeling so strapped for cash lately.!!! I didn't realize this until this morning.

It's good i paid more attention this AM to going over the charges on that card....

I am very good at finding mistakes and scams on my cards. This MTA issue i do wish i had noticed earlier though.

I admit that I am very intrigued by your idea of taking the sleeping pill in order to get more sleep. I do that sometimes with melatonin, but that doesn't seem to have the staying power. I wake up a few times during the night, and if I go to bed TOO early, then I'm up too early. Of course, I start to feel sleepy again right before the alarm goes off to get up for work. Curses!

I hope you can resolve your issue with the MTA. Ya know, if not, just stop the payments and move on. Lesson learned. I've gotten hit with a few large medical bills recently from when I hurt my back in Summer 2017! WTH??? I had to wait for my mortgage payment to clear and my Friday paycheck to hit before I can mail out this latest one. Latest one -- hope it's the LAST one.

when i get to the point of being so sleepy that all i can do is simply lay on the couch on a sunday...and when i am so tired that nothing will help besides extra sleep....it's a close call and very important not to overdo (like even 2 days in a row is a bad idea) sleeping pills...but, i shall def take a Sleepinol around 4-4:30 today. i will usually sleep long with this...it lasts over the 8 hours. i am being so unproductive and the monotony of everything has me tired, so i'd rather just sleep the rest of today.

it's turned out to be $360...i'll be trying desperately to get it back. i was charged 13 times and i think the first one was returned to me bc i think i had called my back on the initial charge...grrr...will be trying tomorrow to get the charge back as now i see why i felt like money was so limited these past couple months...i was spending an unnecessary $120 per month.

Bills are funny that way...D recently ordered some work gloves.....and a month and a half later,...they still hadn't arrived...I wrote them an email.....actually 3 of them over a 3 day period...and they sent me an email slapping me on the wrist...LOL... I WAS SENDING THEM TOO MANY SO WAS SENT TO THE BACK OF THE LINE!!!!!...LOL.....funny how they had no problem charging our credit card the day after the order was placed....and after 1 and a half months.....I became their problem!!!...They finally admitted that they didn't have them and refunded the $.....The internet makes getting things easy...but it also makes for some questionable dealings too......

Maybe if they don't allow refunds, they can give you future credit and you can pause the other plan temporarily?

FRESH orange zest done directly over the cranberry sauce is awesome too. Zesting it directly over it gives it the bits of peel & the orange oils from the peel.

this is a good plan...i will bring it up if i have to...but really, i'm hoping for a credit...they said i should call them back in 7-10 business days, making it 12/24 Christmas Eve....so i'll make the call that day, on my day off... :)

i really could use the $360...that has been wasted into thin air of $30 charges due to my error in not catching it sooner :( what a waste of cash flow....so that's what i have to do - call them back on 12/24. i have a reminder in my phone.

yes, i used to add orange to the cranberries. speaking of cranberries...i want to find more packages...i have no more aside from my cooked ones :(

10am snack: a small protein bar that i found pretty good. 180

11:30 brunch: these two wraps that say 70 cal but i am not so sure...by Mission and they say they are low carb. so 2 of them 150, one egg 100, half avocado 150, little sea salt too. 400 tasty. some of my baked acorn sqash fries 100

snacks 2 clementines 60, part of caffeine drink 

4pm-5pm more of caffeine bang drink, another tortilla 70, with cooked cranberry spread 30 and choc protein spread 200....350 or so, clementine 50 small banana 100

1650....workout soon - seems it'll be a home workout at it's 4pm now and pretty cold out, so i don't really want to go outside at all...may as well do it at home and save time and energy. tomorrow i'll drive around and pick up the cream cheese, that's all. gonna rest up and do a home workout, it was a long week.

i did a bit of reading today...to finish a short book i was reading on the commute, the Alchemist. good read and very, VERY motivating and inspiring Winter read :) It's about soul searching, finding your path, not being afraid of failure and working on your life vision. Definitely relatable.

I have 3 other books at home to start on, so it's good to finish off one of them! :) The next book on my list is written by an army vet i believe..will update after i start reading it! lol


I will be cooking & baking this weekend, using what i have, not buying much except for what i'm using this week. i really have no money to spend as i just paid rent last week, and my union dues last night which are close to $300 each 6 months and also paying back credit cards again..haha...no biggie, just typical how i spend...too much on food, but, that's my life!..it is better to bring food from home most days to work though! what i need to do is change the percentage i am saving in my paycheck for retirement, but i'm putting it off as long as possible bc i don't like the idea of making it less..duh! it's ok, i'm doing just fine and no real money issues.

I don't splurge often on clothes or large travel plans. I travel very economically when i do. I don't have expensive taste in material things. so, food it is! :)

Cooking & Baking items: 

-pumpkin pie cheesecake - i have all the ingredients i am using except need more cream cheese. so i'll be picking that up later. it calls for almond flour but i may just use coconut flour and i'm aware it's not a simple swap as the properties are really different. but this time i know it and i'll be very careful about the consistancy. i have so much coconut flour so i am going to work on using it up before purchasing any more baking flours.

- veggie soup (hoping the veggies i bought 2 weeks ago are ok - they should be)  in a bone broth (ordered powdered bone broth similiar to boilliion cube).  bone broth is slightly expensive and very healthy, so i will be drinking the broth all week. they are already flavored too, not just "bone broth" but flavored nicely like chicken soup. so, it will be really nice to have all week, next week, to enjoy a cup or so when i bring it for lunch. i already checked it out, opened the lid, and everything smells absolutely fabulous in the pot!

Love me some pumpkin pie cheesecake. Have also been eating a fair amount of squash over the past few months. Butternut, acorn, spaghetti, and even tried a fresh pumpkin a few weeks ago. Would taste better drenched in butter, but I've been keeping it low-cal and just adding some pumpkin pie spice to it lately.

Happy Friday! December 7 we are up to...still pretty early this Holiday Month!

Kombucha and seltzer with stevia...extra liquids at home 50 cal...did the trick

Breakfast: Starbucks Egg White Spinach Wrap 300, coffee 50, few of my dark choc raisinets 100

Snacks: office keurig hot green tea with stevia, dark choc covered raisins 100

Protein cookies - not great, will not buy again 200...we shall see...i will be snacking hardcore today...anything to get me thru this day and back home to bed tonight.

1pm Lunch: buying it at the buffet...will load up on veggies. hungry day already...different types of veggies, light dressing, 250, 2 very small fried potstickers 150, seared tuna steak 250. 650. 

Snacking, so tired so done but got a bit of walking at lunch and was asked to do another errand, so, i'll be trying to stay till at least 6:30...at least 1.5hours OT today...i can do this!...so far part of brownie and clementine 100, later a coffee 50, maybe more brownie later 100

worked ot 2 hours till 7pm!

I successfully survived the holiday party last night.  A nice coworker gave a bunch of us a ride home (3 of us living on the same block, 1 out of the way) and himself the driver. So nice...got home by 10pm!...the party was around half hour only away. THANK GOSH it took relatively a short drive to get home at that hour of the night, 9:30pm or so.

All was good, nothing negative at all to say about the party.

Food was good. Had a little of everything. All was tasty.

On to today, FRIDAY, now!

Tonight i'll work only ONE 2 hours OT...as if my ankle is feeling up to it, i want to do some walking like i did on Wednesday eve, on my commute home from the subway. we shall see how i feel later. At lunch, i'll def be going outside to walk also, with a coworker... 


ABOUT LAST NIGHT, only one thing bothers me today: i said hello on my way out to an administrator who is sorta high up on the roster at the company...he said hi and "how is your pop!?"...didn't ask about me how i'm doing even - i don't work with him and i do not believe he even likes my father...he was being political at that moment. ..jerk....just went in for it..for the kill...sorta like saying, you are here bc of him. well, f you to that administrator. :)

they are...and since i'm now by a water cooler that has the hot and cold knobs, i've decided to just bring in tea bags and make tea all day ;) so nobody sees me walking back and forth all day to that keurig...it's so amazing tho!

the OT was stressful...nobody was there....but it's good i just do it. at least my hours are no longer an early start so i don't need to wake up crazy early anymore. more of a normal wakeup around 6...instead stupid 5am.

Kombucha just a little, but i'll say 50 cal. didn't need much as i had a yogurt last night also (probiotics...)

Breakfast 9am: coffee 50, last of my tasty pumpkin brownies (next week is low carb pumpkin cheesecake that i'm baking on either Sat or Sunday) 250 and whipped cream 120.


Lunch: light from home, smallest amount of tuna salad with crackers 130 cal (prepackaged), orange pepper 50, and hot decaf green tea from work of course 200 CAL..and my cauliflower thins crakers with the tuna too. 200 more.

2:45pm snack: choc raisins 50

400 in wine, Veggies salad 200, fried stuff 100, fish 150, ziti in ricotta 300 1200, fried eggpant rolllette thing...otherr bites that i may not remember well...


6day: 2233 - good enough!




dinner: out to work christmas party being held in an area outside Manhattan called Long Island City which is in Queens. It should be less than half hour away and we'll all take the train and go together from this office to the party...

After party...not sure when i'll be home, but sleep....




Office Holiday Party tonight and i feel SUPER confident in my outfit that i'm wearing. It's another dress my mom gave me..not too tight a fit, though really flattering. short dress. black tights. not opaque, so more sexy! also, i hope to post a photo here. I got lucky this year with all these dresses my mom decided to pass down to me...they are soooo current and fashionable, def not frumpy or old school here! they fit me very differently thant they fit her. i fill them out in the shoulder area....it's a really good look. 

the weight training and calorie counting is now paying off so much...more than i could have EVER intended or wanted when i started my weight loss journey. Never in my imagination did i hope to look and feel as great as i do right now!

I've been counting down the days until you ran out of the brownies and whipped cream. Was hoping you'd replace it with something less appealing like kombucha-flavored-tofu-crusted-dehydrated-rice-cakes. Now I'm going to have to read about pumpkin cheesecake??????

While I am joking, it is truly another reminder that I can eat delicious things in moderation once I make it to maintenance-land. One cookie, not 20. One brownie, not 1 tray. right! but i still make sure to round out meals and come up with ways to feel full!

for instance, in the morning, i have coffee at work with my breakfast, to fill my stomach as the stomach is roughly 2 cups in size and feels full at that point of a "stretch" as you eat.

2 cups of food will make you full as the stomach stretches and shrinks back.

and at lunch, i try to eat a big portion of veg with my lunch so that i'm filling my stomach.

like you, i love my (now they are caffine free mostly) flavored zero cal drinks and low cal drinks.

i chew gum sometimes if i'm antsy.

at work there's free decaf green tea, hot, which is satisfying.

i do small servings of fruit, with a tea.

i mix calorie free with carbs to feel a bolt of energy, but less calories.

it's all a conceived project in the works for me, been manipulating and working a good way to diet and eat for well over a decade now.

i used to eat really low carb at points, it would always cause a binge...i'm so glad i am past that one....that was so horrible...

i'd have like tofu and microwavable green beans with almonds (it was a birds eye prepackaged veggie dish) and it was nice...but, no carbs...and i'd get home from a course i was taking and drive to mcdonalds or other similar place...there was no balance, that was one of my high points of too low cal / too low carb...no balance.

then, this year and other recent, i got so completely unhealthy at points just loving to eat candy and stuff as i knew weights it about cals...and i had changed offices...

and now starting this month i'm into eating for health.

this is new for me. i never thought to eat for "health." or eat for "optimal or better brain function."

now i realize that if i can eat a little better, i can feel a little better.

even this week, not getting great sleep, eating the fish and other healthier selections has me well ahead and better feeling than i have any of the previous winters at this job, EVER. It's my 8th year almost...and this is the first time my skin is clear and i know why...it's the first time i am beginning to think more clearly. it's the first time my health is improving and i'm not pushing my body in excess exercise or too a bad limit...i'm more moderate in my adult life than i EVER have been!

it feels so good, trust me, the proof is in the trials and the errors.

And, I too, am a little bit jealous of the cheesecake, but it helps that dairy makes me sick because i'm probably not as jealous as the others are LOL. Think if I pre-make some waffles and pancakes it would be as good warmed up as freshly made? Hmn, I might have to try that. Then i'd feel like i'm having such a luxurious breakfast every day!!

i do think it's important to mix up the breakfast routine if you are getting bored of what you are making. i do think waffles and pancakes will taste good warmed up...maybe you will have to do it in an electric convention oven instead of microwave tho?

yes, if dairy is not making you feel good, stay away...so far, it doesn't affect me, thankfully!

i like a fun breakfast - not sure when i'll go back to eggs and avocado lol.

I know what i'm wearing. A short purple dress, black opaque tights, and little ankle boots. :) i had been thinking some kinda stylish fishnets...but when i tried the outfit on, i knew it was not appropriate. glad i looked into it last night and tried on the outfit! So an hour OT both tonight and Friday night for the win this week :)

All is good, just keeping on. Lately sleep is skimpy, but not terrible. Tonight i'll get decent sleep and Friday night of course too. Thursday will prob be sorta late bc of the party....then relaxing this weekend :)

On the weekend, i'm hoping to see my friend who had the whole forgetting the key debackle at the gym...we are supposedly meeting for brunch at a Japanese Hibachi place on Sunday...i had found a $25 gift certificate there that we got...that we thought was lost...! :) I will be happy to see her & i know she'll be feeling better from the other crazy night. I totally forgive her for that...i know she's got a lot going on :)

I definitely need to stock up on the citrus. Reading about clementines and grapefruit has me craving me some serious citrus!

lol, i'm sitting next to a high power heater now at work. It's one of those big ones, not a fan type, but one that seriously can heat up a small room & it's right next to my legs. My room is small. Yesterday, the thermometer was at 79 degrees...

Commuting will be ok in the outfit (but i'll wear sneakers for the walk!)..since no rain or snow in forecast.

in general, tho, i prefer warm pants. today i'm in a thick legging material for a change of pace and comfort.

with the new room tho, i may start to wear dresses with stockings occasionally as it's warm in here now!!!!!

and luckily, i'm next to the door, so i get some air flow!

previously to the moving into this new office room, i couldn't think to wear a dress. it was too cold. even in summer, it was very uncomfortable and freezing.

My sleep has been sporadic lately. Some nights I sleep a solid 8 hours. Other nights I wake up after only 4 or 5 hours. Woke up this morning at 3:30am after about 5 hours. Messed around on my phone for a bit and then just decided to get up for the day. Without any outside distractions I was able to bust out my work for the day. Have a few errands to run this morning, but pretty much done for the day unless something new comes in. Feels good to be caught up on things, even if I'm feeling a bit groggy from lack of sleep.

...just like the diet tho, it can't be skimping for days at a time! here and there, like a moderate indulgence is good...

but once i skimp too much, i get very stressed...then sick. ...which cannot happen since i have...MIAMI

but yes, sometimes i do prefer to get stuff done and deter sleep...good point i agree with you 100%

6pm snack before exercise:fancy pieces of small desserts from coworker, coffee. 200 approx, clementine 50

during exercise: banana of course..150

after exercise: tbd idk yet, really not too sure till later.cauliflower crust 250 and cooked cranberries 100

I'm happily working in my new room by myself until supervisor / friend comes in...she is sick today and also just got a humidifier for the room which is good. She has super stress in life (single mom / way more responsibilitiy than me) and it makes sense she is sick :( after all this nonsense. I have decided on NO OT today...leaving at 5pm to go home to rest / exercise...sticking to the real goal - like Donkey was saying - and it's my exercise, not to make up hours as fast as possible, especially this week with a Christmas party! also, as far as yesterday's being late - i'm not making it up - i have privacy and nobody knows now...i'll make up the 16hrs as best i can...i have to document it...but not making up 45min for the train delay. nope! :) trust me, everyone else in my boat wouldn't even question NOT to make it up ! haha...on to do work!

way better. less distractions that i don't need to know about - lives of coworkers, opinions, experiences...it was good for a few months, but now it's best i find my own course of direction. nothing else to learn from those i had shared the room with...i need now to continue my own growth...same as my supervisor as this is on track with her opinions for her own growth as well!

Broke down and bought some almonds a few days ago (Blue Diamond wasabi). Taste great, but I instantly remembered why I don't buy them. It's so hard to portion control them. I really don't have any desire to eat just 10-30 of them. I'd like to eat half of the canister.....and then finish it up the next day.

I have to do Wasabi paste in very small bits with sushi and such. But the Blue Diamond wasabi & soy sauce flavored almonds that I've had have never been that strong. Maybe I've just gotten some weak batches..... I know some of the potato chips I like (Tim's Cascade salt & vinegar) can vary widely in potency between batches.

11am? snack: very sugary and crappy high sugar coated popcorn. 250 cal horrible choice. one half cup serving is 150 cals...for popcorn! like i said it was thickly coated in chocolate. horrible. i was hungry and moving my stuff, so all is good!  250 in crap. it was a small serving, like a large handful but the calories for almost a cup of this crap was very high but i ate it bc i was hungry and active all morning...lol

12:30 lunch: from home - healthy mix - one large orange pepper 50, around 8oz of grape tomatoes 50,...crackers 150. 250. and later a very small tuna salad with crackers 150. total here is great, 400 cal. also dried and actually nice and fresh mango from coworker 100.

3pm snacks: espresso shot from coworker, raisinets dark chocolate covered. 100, clementine 50

...satisfying and tasty. healthy.

dinner: tofu 100, eggplant tomato sauce spread 100, flatbread 250 (just the regular really tasty kind i've been eating for a change of pace!) . 450...planning tho on a dessert!!!....cooked cranberries and greek yogurt 200.

i didn't do any cooking, so food this week will be sorta random and also i'll be enjoying some microwavable mashed cauliflower either tonight / later in week!

...for lunch i also tried my hot veggie leftovers but the flavor was too strong from last weeks' beer broth for the corned beef which was good but the veggies that were cooking underneath the meat taste bad (the cabbage and bok choy were good - just the root veggies cooked too much and too much flavor from too much cooking time for the veggies..so i'll throw them out)... ___________________________________________________

work pm update: i've now moved all my stuff to a new room to be working in.  all morning i was involved in moving everything and then moving a bit of my Supervisor's stuff too bc she was in a meeting and i was able to help her get organized which was a good thing. I haven't actually done any "work" besides the move which took time. IT came in to move our computers / phones/ printers / etc. which is GREAT. We have a fantastic and large IT dept at my company.  

And now i'm allowed to use my nice heater and it's right next to me, thankfully, i should be wayyyy less cold at the office which is very important as who likes to be freezing most of the time everyday!? so this is good too!  In the previous office, i couldn't use the heater bc of circuitry issues and it would overload the circuit and cause a break and partial power to the room would be lost. lol, so this is not an issue so far in the new room. thank gosh!

11am Coffee at  home made with stevia, one scoop of protein powder (they give samples whenever i buy my workout drinks) 100, milk 50. 150 total.

1pm tasty lunch: leftover corned beef brisket 250, flatbread 250, leftover bok choy yum tho pretty oily from the meat it was cooking on top of but good! 150. total here: a healthy 650.

5:30pm: grapefruit :) 100...ode to Graindart :) i'll prob start having more citrus thru winter! and during workout small banana 100

1900...planning on a home or gym workout soon around 5pm-5:30pm start. going out to gym will be too stressful for me tonight. i'd rather skip the driving and all that jazz and be home with my stevia drinks and seltzers for a nice workout here in my apt.

after workout meal: cauliflower crust 200, egg partial yoke only and another egg white 60, a tomato / eggplant spread on my crust 50: approx 310-350

total today is quite perfect: 2250 - it's on the high side but lately i'm staying active.

i'd prefer of course to be able to eat on the upper end of the calorie spectrum than have to feel deprived on the lower end! duh! but after a bit of this, i may gain a hair, if that happens, i'll go a little lower. but right now, with the busy schedule this is what works best.


I am prob not cooking the same way i have been (i was cooking tons!) and instead i might lay low the next few weekends because of work being a hair too busy and stressful...this weekend has been wonderful... relaxing, cleaning productivity, organized...HOME gym later :)


Doing a huge "Spring Cleaning" today...full of throwing out TONS of paperwork in a clothing closet at the bottom so i can replace the area with a hanging rod so i can hang double the shirts / pants inside....

I'm totally throwing stuff out, mostly papers, but also some clothes (donating). and cleaning up. feels good as lots of good changes seem to be happening...including a change at work where i'm moving to a quiet room with only my project manager and myself. no distractions. time to refocus my energies in a good way. also, it won't be freezing the room as i'll use my heat whenever i want...which will be a needed change too for better productivity. Last friday, i wore heated foot inserts all day...i realize the chatting in the room was good and bad...but in general i'm a pretty independent person and i learned what i needed, now time to work once again in a quieter environment. with less distraction...which means more quality time and also perahps time to think about my goals a bit as i work...and think of the upcoming vacations (not a lot, just to be more in tune with my own upcoming schedules and not need to know others' stuff...to be able to move forward and be a better me)

i'd have loved to help you...living in an apt is great because i just need to leave my junk downstairs in the aluminum/plastic/ paper recycle area or down the shoot for regular garbage..i don't actually have to take it out or make sure to get the right junk out on the right recycling days. so it's easier to declutter as a single person in an apt, thankfully!...i wish i could help you also!

No, NO NEED, to replace anything that's getting thrown out - mostly paperwork and maybe in the Spring or MidWinter i'll throw out even more clothes...i've just realized i have SO MANY COTHES built up still. and very little closet space at all!
