18.5 Hours in the Sun/Cardio :)

starting again to gather up more clothes that i do not wear to clean up my closets / donate..have a small pile so far of around 8 tops to give away, trying to clean up my closets more.  Realized i have a LOT more gray, warm shirts than i thought!!!


8am breakfast: oats 150, raisins 150, almond milk 50, kombucha 50...400....

11am-11:45am healthy meal: lots of chips/pea crisps 350, 2 slices munster cheese 120, cauliflower oreganato (with bread crumbs and olive oil and spices, roasted) 200 and a little more especially of the breadcrumbs 100 and a sweetened black coffee 

4pm meal: fruit x2 200, fage 5% greek with apricot 150, black coffee

dinner: ????................

7:30 light evening snacking during weights: choc filled wafers 150, pb 150, water. 300.half a sparkling cider 50.

1900-1950...prob sleep early after weights....got lower body in also today.


.............will be my tofu and leftovers from i forget exactly when last week so I do not need to throw them out/waste them before buying any more food this week :)??? may eat this all for lunch tomrrow & bed early????............this will be tomorrow's lunch.

 


On my way home from work tomorrow or at lunch tomorrow, I may do takeout of chinese to bring home for dinner... :)...but first I'll eat tonight what I have at home in my fridge!  i also have some frozen meat, already cooked, that I am going to start eating more of :) I'm lucky i have those meat leftovers in my freezer - both my own cooking and my mom's.  I will be making good of the food I have at home as well as doing takeout on cooked veggies until i am better organized and used to the commute and my weekends slow down a little without the extra errands (like yesterday's driving to victoria's secret and spending lots of time out, shopping around. next weekend, i will pick up 2 guinea pigs (more) that i will be a foster mom to - until they are adopted! i get a cage with them too! so, that's a big deal for next weekend because it's around an hour's drive away to pick up the pigs....so when things die down, I'll cook more....


 NO COOKING today....i'll get by on salads for lunch most days at work and takeout veggies for dinner this week...may do takeout from a place by work and take it home with me :)...yup...probably tuesday bc it seems i have enough food right now for dinner Monday night still with leftovers!..maybe even enough food at home until Wednesday...willl try to be conservative with using up food and not wasting it as much as possible!

PM after walk Laundry and guinea pig cage cleaning - done early in AM DONE!

1-3pm nature walk, 20 min away by car locally, i signed up for...should be more relaxing than taxing...good way to end the weekend! we seriously walked a total of like 15 min out of the two hours! mostly just standing, listening to her teach us about the trees...i gave feedback that it'd be better to cover at least a mile walking over 2 hours, if not 1.5 miles (round trip)...it's not even to walk not even half a mile over two hours. that's wrong in this cold !!! lol. but, it was very informative. DONE!

fell asleep after the snack after the walk....for like a half hour....just laying on couch...then weights...

 AM PM after walk upper body weights before nature walk so that i can come home and know exercise is all done and i'm relaxing the rest of today.....hopefully...weights may go on tonight AFTER walk....because i'm not sure i want to rush them /eat / get laundry...so i'll do them tonight...should be OK as basically the only thing i need to do this evening :) in progress, halfway done at 7:30...to DONE!

in two hours, we seriously walked less than 1/4 mile round trip...i def gave feedback that besides educating us, we must be able to walk at least a mile or a mile in a half, roundtrip that should be the minimum, for a TWO HOUR walk!...otherwise, it was very educational, but we stood still for most of two hours.

3:45pm full meal leftovers tofu 100, rice 200, thai veg in sauce 150..450...dunkin donut! bavarian cream 250-300 ...i really wanted boston cream, but they had hardly anything left at 3pm today!  750, black coffee probably...yes. And still fell asleep for a half hour

Saturday Plans:

call geico, get my new rate after defensive driving, pay bill over phone asap...bill was $550 with discount but they also credited my previous 6 months for a discount, so my bill today was around $510..nice it wasn't the original $600! saved almost $100. DONE!

get few items from dry cleaners that were mostly resewn and repaired from last week along with a dress shirt I got dry cleaned that I only wear very infrequently and is a great shirt to be maintained in it's quality thru proper dry cleaning :-) DONE!

i have a coupon for two free victoria's secret panties if i buy anything in the store....so i want to do that...basically, it will be worth it, financially, as long as my purchase is very minimal...so i'll see how cheap i can go tomorrow in order two get 2 free new pairs of underwear. there used to be many more victoria's secret stores by me, one on my way home, but i learned they have closed....so tomorrow i'll be driving specifically to a store in order to get this deal, which is very worth it because the one purchase has no minimum meaning i can purhase the cheapest thing in the store to get two pairs of underwear, which i could use; DONE!

in the shopping center i went, there was an Express Outlet clothing shop - bought two shirts on clearance, one a thin turtleneck but i liked it was a turtleneck, though just cotton for $10; the other a warm sweater less than $20...figured i could use more and throw away some ugly sweaters that i should never wear again (like a bright green one i don't even like looking at!)..in the shopping center, i found a LARGE gourmet supermarket - picked up not much but a few prepared veggies that haven't been cooked - it's designed for me to heat up and already seasoned ...cheaper than the already cooked ones, so i got these and i'll get to eat them fresh from my oven - cauliflower oreganato. half the stores in the shopping center were closed for good - very sad the way things are changing.

i may do weights - upper only -  in the evening?? Tomorrow 

not much planned for cardio, minimal walk to cleaners....

I've been taking the elderberry gummies too! Husband takes them all the time as part of his daily regimen but I've only been taking them this week, since I've been fighting some kind of bug off. They are SO yummy!

I think we're living parallel lives today, as I'm doing a ton of laundry too. If you do weights, I will do weights. Upper body for me today, I think.

 My phone SIM card just flat out died. Therefore, my phone doesn't work at all!  So yes, i'm updating while at work here.

At lunch, i'm going to go to a nearby Tmobile store to replace it....what a hassle! LOL. who would guess a phone that's only 2 years old would have a SIM card just flat out stop working. It means i have no internet on the phone, cannot text, cannot call, cannot surf web. basically, it renders the phone useless.  Hope to fix during my "lunch hour." And you all know I will not stay late today at work. no no.

breakfast, rushed and annoying bc of my phone and making phone calls at work to Tmobile: one of my fancy nutritious bars 230, coffee 50, a small cinnamon roll tiny 120. 400...

lunch: healthy - leftovers curtosy of myself.  If i need caffeine, i'll make a free coffee at work (no monster today...or maybe a diet coke from the store, since i'll already be out...yes!) corned beef small amount 200, wrap 100, salad with light dressing 100. 500

dinner: i have leftovers still...had my own tofu 100, with some rice 150, thai veggies in a light basil sauce 250, picked up thai on the way home, quite a bit, large serving, kombucha 50, persimmon fruit i bought on the way home 50, chocolate filled wafer cookies 200....800..(very indulgent, but i knew i had calories to spare, hard to satisfy myself).

I plan to buy some takeout on Saturday ;) already planning to do that...cooking is not really on my agenda too much for now...i have a lot of other more exciting activities to think about for this weekend.

I'm glad i did weights last night and i also stayed up late watching some tv in order to relax after lifting.  The shows were fabulous...seems that I may start changing my routine, dealing with less sleep every so often (as always), but also starting to watch some engaging tv shows and dateline news stories. my mind is searching for information and knowledge at the moment.!!! :)

MAJOR GOALUpper body strength tonight, will come home fast, no walking, to get it done and have time for sleep tonight. no extra walking today, same as yesterday. need my rest right now.

snack: bar if necesary, will start bringing an egg to work or have egg sandwiches for breakfast very soon......will have a higher calorie, more nutritious bar today in light of a small granola bar..250 cal...hopefully will keep me feeling better until i eat lunch

I've been taking 2 hard boiled eggs to eat for 2nd breakfast at around 10:30a. I think it helps with energy and satiety.

yes, need to improve my eating, as i thought i would have to after changing my hours to rise much earlier than when i wasn't working...def need to work on my diet now, bc carbs aren't going to cut it like they did when i wasn't working...i'm up too many hours and need to eat better.

I hope you're finding a good routine now that you're back to work. I've been making myself a smoothie in the morning before I leave for work so that I have a healthy snack while i'm at work in the morning. Otherwise, I will look for less healthy options and probably end up eating chocolate LOL.

 g-d has been watching me like a hawk and is going with me this year. not sure what it is, but i feel so positive, so energized, so whole. i don't feel like i'm constantly lacking. i don't feel like I have to second guess myself...i feel ALRIGHT!  does this happen to everyone at 38 yrs old? anyone get this all of a sudden at any certain point in life??? i'll ask this again tomorrow!

Hmm... There have been times where I have felt closer to God, felt guided or had things confirmed. Can't say it was at exactly 38 years old, but I've had that feeling several times. I don't always feel it or "see" why things happen, so I always try to keep an open heart to hearing God.

Hope you get to bed early tonight! Ahhhhhh what a wonderful idea!

dinner: cooked veggies i picked up on the way home so i have other than cold salad for the rest of the week with dinner (i'll do salads for my lunches, but i want cooked veggies for my dinners)...150, rest of the cooked salmon from my mom with bbq sauce 300, chips - tortilla chips 250. 700, some kombucha 50.

Are you starting your third week? I remember saying that things start to fall into place after the 3rd week, at least in my experiences.

Which is why it's probably a good idea to try to do weights tonight, if you still plan to weight train during the week. Good for you!

Some tasks i will not do until end of the month...there's certain things i do only end of month...so i will learn the hang of them next week.

but my biggest priorities have fallen into place, yes.

38 was 30 years ago for me. 38 was not a good year for me, but at 40 things became great! And they've gotten better ever since. My best years so far have been my mid-50s to now and hope my 70's can be even half as good.

I think today I can say i was outside at least 1.25 hours..maybe more, but, i'll consider it that.

3day weekend. going to see parents. on way home, may stop at supermarket, but to tell you the truth  - i may skip that too and just come home to spend the day relaxing at home!

I want to do leg strength exercises today too.


9am oats and raisins 300, almond milk 50/gummy vitamin, kombucha guava 50. 400.

Noon snack: large twix bars 250 (hungry during walk with mom, it's all i had and i knew i wouldn't be eating lunch in her house bc she doesn't want me breathing without mask in her house because of Covid and i ride subways now...)

2:30pm light lunch: back at home, not much, chocolate grahm cracker snack 150, spiked cider 100. 250

5:30 early dinner: leftover shawarma meat smaller portion 150?, leftover veggies including some potato 150 but still hungry...portions too small, looking in fridge for more..cheese doodles 150...450

seems calories are low today and I'm ready to go to bed very early ....can't think past getting up around 5:15am tomorrow morning 

 


 i don't have veggies prepared for tomorrow's lunch...thinking just to have a salad instead of cooked veggies and that makes sense because i have tons of romaine and lettuce in my apt right now.....and very little cooked veggies beyond what may be in the freezer.

Electric kettles in certain areas here get a lot of limescale on the bottom of them. Especially places like London. Horrible water there!

 10.25 hours cardio outdoors in Sun (or inside)

10:30am late breakfast: pumpkin pie, not going to buy again, getting sick of it. 400, coffee 50 (will be having pb on toast for breakfast next week)

12:30pm snack: pint blueberrries (2 cups) 200, chocolate 100.

large apple 100

4pm meal lots of chips 350, small amount of this tasty but fatty meat 250

6:45 white chocolate candies 110

1510 or so 

 


For inquiring minds, this weekend is MINE. no work brought home. things are starting to work out at work :)

  • will be doing laundry, organizing for the rest of this weekend today.
  • Other than the cleaners and laundry, I want this day to be quiet and I want to stay home. It will be a cardio mostly day off besides walking to cleaners which is around 10 min walk away.  
  • I hope to do weights tonight, upper body and leg strength.

Bring clothing to cleaners on Saturday...

  • fix shirt side hole (don't want to throw away shirt, would rather sew it up because i like the material of the blouse for work!)
  • dry clean 1 shirt
  • get my new spring pants hemmed from last Spring, never hemmed them,
  • have a button on black pants resewn in (4 items...and counting...will look thru my stuff)
  • fix one of my cloth masks - add in two more layers of fabric

 


Sunday: may meet up with friend Jen for walk and other stuff

You had a good run with the pumpkin pie.......You may not be able to find it in stores now anyway.....and even canned pumpkin may disappear.

Usually the caned pumpkin doesn’t fully disappear in the store by me- but it certainly won’t be on sale all year. I’m glad I could eat it while it was in season! It was a good run like I said !!!

Friday / Saturday call geico on weekend (or Friday if my boss works from home and he's home)- to verify the cost & pay my Geico Bill for this 6mo term with my defensive driving discount. almost done.


Some kombucha, nelglible.

Breakfast: pumpkin pie 1/4 large slice 400, coffee 50,

snack: granola bar if hungry: 150

lunch: healthy leftovers: small piece of a large meatball 100, veggies small amount 50, 2 small wraps 200, apple 50..coffee black if i want one...400. sucking candies if i want them....SOME OF A MONSTER LOW CARB energy drink...it's been a long walk, took a walk around the corner to a gas station, bought it, boss is working remotely...and i'm a bit more relaxed without him asking me to do anything today...aside from my regular tasks...but no interruptions...so nice!

6:45-7:30pm Dinner: willl be my healthy takeout leftovers from last night, the meat is going to last days, i may freeze some for next week, actuallly. meat fatty 300, veg 100, bread 200, gummies 100 low sugar didnt taste fresh ...700

walked the whole bus route home from subway, 2.5miles. plus 15 min walking, plus 10 min to subway going homme...approx hours walking: one hour

 


Goal to do leg exercises tonight, but not sure.

..Do legs SATURDAY, taking a rest tonight, is my plan...then, not sure what day to begin next week, will give it some thought over the next couple days...(i'm not sure if i will want to lift on Monday, my day off from work for MLK Day...or if i want to wait until Tuesday to lift weights) One thing i learned from my past employment is that i prefered to get the weights done on workdays and have the weekend very free sometimes for other activitities or to feel like i really got rest....i'll determine this later on for next week's lifting plans....


 being that it's a 3day weekend, i'm so thankful as it comes just as I started this new job, after 2 weeks being there.

I am not sure how i will spend it...i will prob drive to parents (maybe) and go walking with them on ONE of the days.

the rest of the weekend i'm probably going to spend local but also doing some errands / chores. I'll get some kombucha / go to supermarkets...I will be attempting to wash my  dress pants on delicate / cold wash in the washers in the laundry room....

Before I logged in, I thought I saw you mention something about cream for under eye puffiness. I've been thinking of trying Ordinary Caffeine serum. Please share any recommendations you may receive.

I'm so glad you have a long weekend. How nice to have after starting this new job. It will give you time to rest and regroup.

thank you, will look up yours...i just did some research quick on the web, found something for inexpensive from Sephora...going to try it....i'll let you know later today what i got...it's an "amazon favorite" meaning it's popular on Amazon. only $15 not like $50.

totally will share with you. that's why i'm not asking friend...i found something good on a Cosmopolitan magazine article on the web listing a multitude and the pros / cons. this seems the best one. i'll let you know if i like it after i try it out. i think it's for bags and dark circles etc. and it's a cream...i like creams, not serums.
