10:30am snack light popcorn light salt and butter tastes GOOD 160, made it a meal - added leftover sushi bites, veggies, salami. 200-250more.

Sautéed broccoli and tomato with olives two different dishes 200?

Snack before jog of nice coffee from Starbucks and an old wafer bar was tasty ! 200 1350 After jog fruit 100

Rest of the broccoli 100, lightly pan fried tofu 300?, then a bean dish like 150? 550 and rice chips 160 so 700

2150 .... fine !.....and some kombucha ....

2250 total today - pretty good

And I jogged / walked 2.5 miles :-) excellent

Tonight I clean my hammy's cage and still NO SLEEPING PILL - maybe I will one night the first half this week if I want to but not tonight.


All laundry was done before 10:30am...now reading my book. Today i'm getting the last of the massages i scheduled for awhile :) well...maybe one more next week, actually! LOL...i still have a few prepaids available, might as well use them :)

After the massage, I'll come back here and jog. Massage is an hour away so i'll leave 12:30 for the 1:30 massage.

Jogging for my two miles, but might cut it to only 1.5 miles walk/jog today...i'm doing it today as an extra day this week - next week i'm only going 1x jogging.

Lots of good plans coming up for Sunday, Monday & Tuesday. I'll be off those two days and going to the beach !  Wedneday, there's a concert by me that i do NOT want to miss. I may actually take Wednesday off also.  but i realize i shouldn't....because it's too many days off at once and i do not have a lot of days to spare all in one shot is a complete waste.

I'll write you more back soon - and thanks for all your comments - don't put yourself down you are doing always better than you think ! I am speaking directly to you and about you when I say that bc I feel you are too hard on yourself. Make little goals so you do not get bored and if you have a hard time maintaining a routine it might be too much too maintain and therefore you should change it - I can't wait to go back to my weights more ! Once this jogging sh*t is more secure !

I slept many hours (around 10  or a little bit over 10 hours) from around 7:30pm to 5:30m - my  body feels a bit better, legs are not sore anymore.  It feels good to be able to rest a bit more during the week, before the weekend - so that i can exercise tonight on Friday and not feel like i've been run over by a tractor trailer !!!!

Plan is for 2 beach days next week (using sick days)...on Monday & Tuesday assuming weather is warm & Sunny.  

Because that IS the weather as of now! Might as well take a "STAYCATION" while it's free nice weather in my area!  Time to splurge and take the days.

I have 5 sicks days and was planning not to use any - but - i cannot wait to just use them in December, here, before the academy. So, I'm enjoying the time now. I can try to increase my savings / stop contributing to 401k - closer to when i leave this job so that i have my cash before academy, maybe. haven't decided what i'm doing for my time off before academy when i don't want to be working...

I was planning to spend little of my 5 sick and 10 vacation days, but, i was tempted to take a few beach days this summer (when it's a regular weekend it's hard to fit in....) and also tempted to do a couple short trips this fall - hey, part of life is living in.  

I do not know of any vacations once i'll be in academy - meaning - i don't know who i'll be making friends with there, i will not be working with my current close friend Jen anymore...i don't know how or where live will take me come 2017.  

So with my current good friends near and far i'm enjoying some vaca and living life time now. Late September i'm going to Columbia with a friend who lives in Fort Lauderdale, FL and in Mid-October i'm going to Vegas with my current good friend and co-worker, Jen.  both trips are well UNDER a week, more like 4 days long each. And they are what make life worth living!  If not for these couple vacations, i wouldn't have gone anywhere since last October...and that's NOT ok with me. I want to live life, I'll be 35 by those vacations...and it's important to me to do things if i can!

Then, i'll be in academy from Jan '18 thru June '18.  After that will be the important probationary period and first time as a cop starting like June '18. I'll need to be working hard and tough! It will be hard work. I cannot think of vacationing till after the first year fully has passed - January '19. That's why I am vacationing now....living :)


Morning: kombucha and probiotic drink 120

Breakfast: wrap with spread 250, coffee 50, banana 130

Snack? almonds, 120. candies 30.

Lunch (healthy of course) 500 tops. 100 cal crackers, 100 cal chicken sausage, 300 cal tops for veggies sauteed.

3pm extra snack 100

Snack before GYM: no cal drink and granola bar. 


After Gym:


Must play with Hammy GB tonight a little bit...and then bed early without a pill (better to refrain since i did it last night)....not good to take it multiple days in a row...as even coworker advised me not to...i explained the are OTC and not rx types...he thought i was taking an rx i said no, it's just something to help me get rest when i do not sleep that well the rest of the week do to a busy schedule & simply not enough time to sleep each night as much as i'd like.

Well done! And I agree that you should try to take advantage of time off now, because once you are in the Academy, you probably won't be able to get time off for a while... Lately though, I've had family members who have started new jobs and get time off after a month or two -- I must be in the wrong business because I have ALWAYS had to work 6 months (or more) before getting vacation time.

I haven't contributed as much this month -- I'm afraid I've turned into a basketcase this month. I'll comment more on my diary, but just haven't seemed to get it together. That and the lack of feedback is kind of discouraging.

I was supposed to go to a concert with my friend tonight but turns out i am once again too tired during the week. I asked him to go last night...and then cancelled on him today....ugh....just tired...my ankle is strained and i need sleep.

i'm taking a sleeping pill relatively even before i get home - and sleeping VERY EARLY. not going to play with hamster tonight - too tired and need sleep before gym tomorrow as well as a full day of work from 8am-5pm unlike my F-ing boss who works like half the fridays of summer and leaves early on the other half. it's soooo damnnnnn annoying.....like he's the only busy one with a life huh!?  he's so stupid bc i doubt he realizes that the rest of us also have lives we want to live. A$$HOLE.

I am really feeling run down and pissed off. Will be taking 2 sick days during the summer to go to the beach bc i am starting to just not enjoying this working every single day of summer type of schedule!  Everyone's taking days and it's annoying.  

I have one boss who never works a full week and is able to come late and leave early as he pleases to have a life outside work during the week / weekends while people such as myself are struggling just to fit the dang gym in....he goes to the gym, leaving early while i'm STILL at work.

It's BS and I realize being boss means exactly that...and i am not boss....but i'm not fully ok with my work / life schedule and i will have to take a couple dang days off...bc i am starting to feel royally angry with the situation.

Loving my boy Hamster, his name is GB (Gym Boy) and is a goooooood baby.  Never attempts a bite.  He's such a darling fellow. A tan color and sweet baby boy!  His hairy coat has gotten very long and he's almost to his full size. He's approx 12 weeks or 3 months. By 4 months they are full size. So he's almost there.


Been a BORING day at work but i guess BORING is better than stressful....just looking to get better at running & have a good run / walk tonight...perfect weather for it - 75 degrees and sunny.

Taking MONDAY OFF from work as a SICK DAY...to go to the beach with my older friend RICKY that i hang out with very often these days. We're going to a quieter beach where he can play guitar and i can tan and read.

The first and best is GT's kombucha brand. GT's is really, really excellent in flavors and options.

If you want an EXTREMELY powerful one, my next favorite, but it's very strong so only drink half (although i admit to many times drinking full bottle, yeah) - that brand is KEVITA. but for this brand, the powerful drinks are only those that say kombucha, not the tonics or other options with the Kevita brand.

8:30am breakfast: banana 120, wrap with a new spread i bought for fun chocolate protein made with stevia and turns into a muffin, i should microwave tomorrow. 280. coffee 50.

Snack: idk...not sure. i just know i'm tired. went to bed midnght. and i forgot my book that i've been reading so i will read it tonight, not at lunch today like i enjoy doing. it's ok... lots of almonds 200 (also reached for an energy drink - went next door to the gym to buy it...ugh!) 

Lunch: very healthy and light: chips 240 (regular lays), lots of sauteed veg 200? (healthy mix) and 1 egg/egg white 100: 55-600

Snack: possibly a homemade cookie from coworker...feeling low energy and like i need a major carb boost.

250 big cookie snack - even falling asleep after a cookie, sh*t.  Yup need more rest.

1550 before dinner and then bed early. Looking to have veggies.

Dinner: not sure but sure i'm sleeping early! light. 400 cal.

1950 max. thankfully.

Hamster's cage is all clean and beautiful. that's what mostly kept me up last night, lol. but it didn't smell too bad this week bc i was cleaning soiled parts a bit throughout the week, adding fresh bedding to the soiled areas when i removed bits and pieces. worked out better. can't wait to try the new bedding this week that i bought, a much better deal on Amazon. Huge bags and for half the price.

I know i cannot take any days off...so how should i calm myself down? Any tips on relaxation more? Typical i just like my alone time and that works well enough..

Not sure why but Tylenol calms me down....also meditation and yoga. Might try putting on some soft music and just laying down..notice what muscles are tense and relax them...sink into the mattress on that new bedding!

Congrats on the running! I know this is a huge deal for you!

If you're taking a benzo, not taking it could give you a rebound effect. I swear by chelated magnesium (Country Life--not the mins--just the 250mg), but you could try another.

Tylenol on its own is just a pain killer. What people generally do is start taking the Tylenol (or generic) PM, which has Benadryl/diphenhydramine and that's what knocks you out. Sleepinal is just plain Benadryl/diphenhydramine. Using Tylenol when you don't have pain isn't good. Too much Tylenol is bad for the liver.

This is getting long, but I saw an entry where you mentioned cutting back caffeine. Good to figure out your limits, what time to cut it off during the day, etc. Unless you can just never use it at all.

i do take an anxiety medicine but i don't want to get up to read the bottle name...I'm not sure it's a benzo but it could be similar substance. will have to look later when i'm not on a time constraint getting ready for work. drinking kombucha now on couch.... anyways, i forgot to take it one day on the weekend, and maybe that's the reason i was feeling out of sorts on Monday. i don't know....could have been a rebound.

So you are saying that chelated magnesium makes you feel better when you feel low?

I do love Sleepinal as it's quite powerful and has a pretty high dose of drug to it. i have realized that compared to other brands, sleepinal is sometimes double the strength (25mg in other brands vs i believe 50mg in sleepinal!). eh, at least i don't take it all the time!

As i cut the caffeine, my skin clears. this is really why i do it - and i get better sleep....especially when i cut the energy drinks with all those extra chemicals (sf monster drinks are gone from my diet). i had some of an energy drink for the first time in a couple weeks at least on Monday...it did affect my skin already.

1st breakfast 9am - Fiber 1 cereal 200 tops and almond milk 30 and boy have my tastes changed....i didn't even finish it. oh, added cinnamon to the cereal. i'm glad i no longer have the same tastes. def becoming a bit healthier.  and a little kevita probiotic drink 30. total here around 250.

2nd breakfast 10am: wrap 80 with pb 200 and sf jelly: 280...say 300.

1:30pm light meal and snacks after the massage - light snacks after add up to no more than 500 cal total throughout afternoon! and some caffeine, a natural (moreso) drink zero cal...now off to jog at the college track by me!

1050 so far today = going to be another nice and moderate day, equaling out to a very nice & moderate weekend (just what the dr ordered).  I'll prob have a rest day Monday...

early dinner: tons of veg / mushrooms mostly 250, rice crisps 3 servings 330, egg and egg white 100, ..... + fruit 800 tops.

My massage with a female massage therapist ended up being 1.5 hours of HEAVEN so great! I'll go back to her, for sure! she's gooood & experienced. Just what i was hoping for....AND MORE - i didn't expect someone as good as her.

Got lucky, again, at Massage Envy (i've been to many locations and have names of great massage therapists at each one...some are not as good, but i know of good ones all around me! - individual therapists, i mean!) .

Lots of good therapists there, in general, at ME (massage envy) but you've got to be willing to try them all out in order to find the best of the best!!!! 


laundry is almost done by 10am...then going to ANOTHER massage since i have many prepaids i didn't use bc i usually skip many months and then go very often ;-) when i finally find the time i want to spend there and with the therapist i want...but...today i'm seeing a woman therapist bc that was all that was available but i hope she'll do a good job (i prefer male therapists!). 

picking up most of the food for the week at a store i don't usually go to after the massage since i'll be in an area i don't usually go to it'll be nice to have slightly different mix of food this week!

and i will be jogging today back close to home :-)

day will be almost done by the time my jog is over....and i'm enjoying reading a new book.

nice, quiet weekend at home...wish it could have gone on longer because i needed this!

Yep, would be nice to call in sick tomorrow but i do not fall into the temptation bc i know my days are limited and i have to conserve them! I might later in the summer take a sick day - to sleep in after seeing a broadway show the night before, yeah...a friend is coming in from FRANCE and invited me to go with her to see a broaadway show that her sister is IN! really! and instead of the plan being on a sunday, she said she's now going on a thursday eve, so i might just take a sick day the next day rather than wake up for work and be full out tired, again, before the weekend after a full week of work. i know my limits and what's important is to enjoy the summer a bit...and also to accomplish the training. if i have to take a day here or there for mental health / rest, i'll do it.

7:30am breakfast: oatmeal w. almond milk 200, banana and honey 200, stevia and cinnamon, peanut butter 150. 550 & yum! And kombucha 50 600.

Big lunch from 1:30-2pm: out to eat at a fast food mexican place called Moe's loved it - salad with to s of veggies (onions, peppers, salsa, mushrooms) 350?, pulled pork 250?, small amount rice 100, guacamole at least 100 Had a lot very filling and healthy aside from too many calories 800. 1400 of healthy goodness craving caffeine but not doing that and hoping to get in a jog later in evening.

Going home now at 2pm to relax and read for some of the afternoon.

Total today is 1950 at 4pm. I am going to bed as soon as this pill kicks in and until then I am reading. Was a relaxing day! And my decision is jogging tomorrow !

Just chilling today. Really tired maybe bed by 7:30pm even.

Got an awesome massage oh yes. Shopped at some discount stores but spent a lot lol around $100 but it's a LOT of stuff for that $100.

I was thinking I needed to jog today but I did it 2x already last week ! And gym was also done twice last week! Taking a rest day for the rest of today and I am very glad I didn't drink caffeine bc now I'll take a sleeping pill and go to bed early. Tomorrow another massage as I have 6 HOURS of prep aids to use up bc I skip many months at a time ! So tomorrow is a massage and then Jogging for this week starts tomorrow & on Monday I'll prob have a rest day.:). I enjoy my rest days after jogging!

i am actually anxious today…I am feeling tired bc it’s Friday and I just wanna be home but I have the gym….I guess I’m trying to store up some energy to go to gym and finish work – it’s actually pretty easy.  I reached for caffeine for the first time in a LONG time (probably 2 weeks since last energy drink?).  It does no good for me…and thankfully my skin is MUCH improved to do my decreased consumption. I reached for the caffeine bc I feel like it’ll improve mymood….do you think it will?


Gym after work which I'm happy about. Starting a new book at lunch - another motivational / growth book.

Happy plans for the weekend by myself not with the guy this weekend. Looking for a slower weekend to catch up on my personal needs - gym / jogging 

Can't wait to sleep early tonight....and can't wait to sleep in LATE on SUNDAY!

I do drink coffee and it can energize me...but not always...if I drin too much I do get jittery..I DO NOT like that feeling. I will say that there is a little trick I have learned in my old age....not sure if it would work for anyone younger or not....but when I find myself feeling down and I don't know why...or if I dwell too long on sad things..I have found that taking a dose of Tylenol seems to snap me out of it within minutes....for some reason....I'm not a pill pusher...and I would not want to encourage anyone to take something that may not be good for them...but if you are not on other meds that may not mix well....and you can safely take it...it may be worth a try....I just take the regular dosage.

dinner with dad tonight...then putting up the rest of my blinds starting around 7pm with my dad and his friend...hopefully done by 8pm...hopefully! :-P

1350 after sunflower granola bar snack @ 4pm feeling sluggish and so i reached for something to pick me up!

Dinner tonight with dad and planning on I really don't know - maybe soup and lots of veggies ..

2150 total.

need to get waxed today during lunch break as well as finish my book...got just a few pages left :)

dinner with dad tonight and then his friend is coming over also bc finally i'm putting up my blinds after living in an apt with practically no blinds up for 1.5 MONTHS! because it was hard to plan that and also had to wait for walls to be fixed after the window guys accidentally destroyed the wall plastering.  many people in my apt bldg had this happen so i had to wait a few weeks for them to fix that...and that was mid june....and now i waited an extra month for the blinds lol bc i had to plan it with me, my dad & his friend and a FREE NIGHT during the weeknights lol when i didn't have any gym or other important plans. LOL.

Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

thank gosh...it was annoying to schedule and it's so wonderful they are now up! keeps the sun out in the afternoons too lol! wonderful....i will not like ever need to use my air conditioning now...bc the sun will not be shining thru the glass.

Love your parents while you have them....once they are gone you will be glad you did. I know there can be tough times with them, there were some with mine too..but there were also plenty of good times...and as a parent...I can say that parents mean well...they really do want to help you....It makes parents feel good when they can help.

My dad wants to help so badly it's nuts....he loves me so much it shows....thank you BCGG....i'm so lucky to have a man like my dad...so capable. So giving, loving & helpful!

And my mom always wants the best for me...for that i am grateful too. And she is very giving although she is not very capable of showing love due to her own difficult life as a child.
