830 cal through morning decided on extra carbs bc I was doing work and it's that time of month and I always crave easier things to digest. I went with it....

12:30pm healthy lunch wrap: around 400 little bit leftover salmon from dinner last night 200?, wrap 60, veggies and some pumpkin / potato / eggplant / mix along with some roasted portabellas but it was a small amount. lol...sounds like more than 400, but that's what i'm saying!

1250, healthy

Snacking: 150 tastes at mall...

Frozen yogurt 200


 Dinner: egg/egg whites 120, cooked veggies 100, cucumber salad 50, popcorn 160 430...and kombucha. 500.

total today is good, 2100. 

2-day average: 2250, decent.

I am tired & beat. gym is postponed till tomorrow. thing that's good about tomorrow is that i'm only working till 3pm following that is a dr apt...and i was gonna come home to relax but i'm doing that now...so after the dr appt i will have to go to gym. busy month!


Skipped gym as I had enough caffeine and I am tired from getting home last night 2am....will go to gym on Monday, Wed & Fri of this week instead.


Glad i got my period like today instead of straight out tomorrow as moving around today walking and mall and gym in afternoon should move it along faster than if i were sitting at my desk all day at work - this is good....

Very productive weekend including making slides for a powerpoint I was assigned to do for Old Navy. I feel blessed that I'm able to challenge myself and do this project at home. Life is good. In the end, i'll have spend at least 6-8 hours on this project and being paid $125 but it was worth it because I challenged myself...and that feels good. Sometimes doing nothing isn't fun at all...I am liking this extra assignment. I enjoyed doing something different this week. 

Off to shower, then mall to finish up photos at Victoria Secret for the Old Navy underwear project i'm doing. Also gonna use some coupons at mall....it's worth the trip...i've got some great coupons ;)

I was thinking i could return a couple old Victoria's Secret Bras and get store credit but it turns out the actual YEAR was printed on the bra and they were both at least THREE years old!!!!!!! and the store manager wouldn't accept them for lowest store price - i thought by complaining that i didn't like the wear (how they got worn out) would work, but not accepted, so i didn't end up returning them or buying anything as bras are wayyyy overpriced for $50/ea at that store. oh well! It was worth a shot trying. I will no longer shop there - VS is out of my price range completely for bras. I will start shopping in cheaper places like JC Penny or Macy's for bras...

I found AWESOME sandals that are mostly flat, such a tiny little heal / platform, at Express. I will wear them sooooo much as I always loved them...maybe i'll take a photo and show you - very strappy - is the look - and they will look just AWESOME with everything from skirts, dresses, shorts, jeans, any color jeans. they are awesome. i got them in a dark brown suede. They were around $50 and I had a $10 off. $40 for well fitting sandals that i plan to wear OFTEN was worth it.!!!!

I also got a free travel size body lotion from Bath & Body Works with a coupon without having to spend any money.

I was really hoping to take advantage of the VS bra deal by returning two and having like $20 off a new one that way ... and it was supposed to also include 2 prs underwear...but bc they wouldn't accept my old bras (makes sense!), i wasn't gonna spend $50 on a bra , plus tax, and think that 2prs of underwear free with the bra is worth that...$50 plus the tax is sooo overpriced for a bra.

But mall experience was worth it :-) and i sampled some teas at a tea store, always have samples!

Actually, i got samples all day including at the supermarket, pita chips were out at the deli for sampling too!!!! :-D

Sorry VS wouldn't credit you. I agree, they're way over-priced (out of my price range as well). I love shoes (especially flats and small heels)! They were a great find! I am glad you're considering some relaxation and down time. You're right, it is very important!

10am breakfast: wrap 60, lox 120, cream cheese 100 300. followed up with some Trinidad food i picked up near work 150-200 cal. all healthy but lots of oil on the veggies.

noon lunch:chips 100, eggplant 100, 1/2 turkey burger 90 with mustard on wrap 60. 350.

taking bus and subway this afternoon to friend's apt in south street seaport which is actually quite far from me. it's in Manhattan near the very bottom, downtown, and from my area in Queens, NY it's far because of the transportation issue. it'll take me, overall with walking, approx 2hrs each way.

i do not mind the commute or distance, but a good work friend asked if she could join me and it jostled my plans as it's already a lengthy distance with round trip taking 4hrs...i kinda wanted to do it alone, actually.

she hasn't gotten back to me - so i do not think she'll be joining me - i sorta told her it'll take a long time and it's out of the way and also my weekend is quite packed i wouldn't want her to sleep over tonight (didn't tell her) but i really cannot have this weekend get any busier than it is.


Striking up energy to do all laundry now so i do not have to do it Monday night, as I was thinking i would put it off, not a great idea! It's a bit less bc i did some Tuesday on the snow day.

I don't want to do laundry tomorrow bc i have gym and need to go to mall to finish i project I am doing for Old Navy which does involve a bit of my time tomorrow!

So it'd be good to get ALL laundry out of the way now before things get busy. I was thinking to do it Monday bc i'm going to a dr appt and plan to get home early after around 5pm but still it would be dumb to have to start laundry then...so after i finish these strawberries i'll bring the laundry down to the apt laundry room! If I had laundry in my apt, it wouldn't matter when i do it, lol....I may get that for next year or so - if I can (2018).

I don't remember eating in the middle of the night .... i think this was only 2 nights ago - i HOPE! lately i'm waking up often...just has to do with being busy...as soon as April hits, I will take an extra day(s) off to counteract how I am feeling if necessary.  I'm doing a GREAT job balancing commitments with work this month and I'm glad March is already more than half way OVER :-D

Home: quite extra strong ACV in cup of seltzer did an amazing job as got ready fast. no cal!

Breakfast: Really fresh lox from a new package wow! so good! like butter 120, extra cream cheese 100 whipped, on a wrap 60. 300 approx. coffee with milk 50.

Snack ? 100 cal almonds

Bigger lunch, boss ordered and i indulged in some tasty Chinese white rice 250, veggies in sauce with saucy shrimp too sugary type sauce of course but very good 400-450 for the sauce / shrimp / veggies. 750 for lunch but tasty.

Before gym: caffeine and 150 fiber one bar - will drive to far gym (not close to work) bc the drive will relax me and during drive i'll drink a sf monster energy drink bc that's what i want tonigt in order to do my workout - i'll have a good workout once i'm there...finding parking with snow might be sorta difficut, but, i assume they plowed decently where the homes are not located & really don't wanna work out at the gym next to work -


- I want to leave this area once it's 5pm when my day is over today...just want out.  And then i can work out in my fave only sports bra (no shirt) at my other, more relaxed and better equipment gym. Went next door to gym as I decided to save time, I had a blast and stayed extra long at the gym.

 Protein cookie as I crave the carbs and protein after a workout, I like it. 350.

I will be good to sleep extra into tomorrow (Sat Morning)...will be a fun / busy / productive / restful weekend i know. Plans are not too much, but def enough! Will write more later.

Happy it's Friday. I overslept because I put my heat on around 4-5am this morning and it drowned out my radio alarm clock which i forgot to raise the volume up on! It's ok, as I needed the extra sleep more and didn't really leave more than 5 min late to drive to work (just rushed getting ready at home lol and did have a chance to drink my ACV which DID work amazingly well!)....

...anyways, i ended up getting to work 20 min late because we have lots of remaining snow and traffic and LOTS of things were going on including a tow trunk unloading a car so i prob could have saved 5 min just there LOL. But the good thing about my job - these things don't matter....I have to realize that these little stressful things shouldn't create stress for me - and I should REACT WAY LESS as it's not gonna help me manage my stress or help me get into NYPD.

I'm lucky that my boss in is fact VERY NICE (the other retired) and this boss DOES  try to help me and DOES NOT try to make anything more stressful for me. I'm so LUCKYbut I'm having a problem being happy - somehow I am feeling depressed (not anxious really) just depressed.  I think it has to do with the weather, the snow, and the fact that I do NOT have any more days off work this month & it's sorta a stresser to manage gym the 3days a week bc i do it VERY hardcore and sometimes I am not getting as much rest as I need....

...But truth is, as I said before, i somehow have to remember that these are LITTLE problems in a world of MUCH larger problems than I ever have had to deal with. So, aside from one EXTREMELY BAD JOB EXPERIENCE when i was still quite young as a teacher when I was 23-24 (one year there) and lots of stress job interviewing in the FOUR summers  that lead into my teaching years...well, the rest of my stress just doesn't compare to the world's bigger problems. 

My goal for this remaining time, as well as the rest of my lifetime, is to REMEMBER this. To REMIND myself that I am CAPABLE of MY DREAMS and I CAN DO THIS and that ANY LITTLE MOUTAIN i have to climb is only going to get my stronger. LIFE ISN'T EASY all the time and it's never meant to be...I must realize this...and take the challenges as my personal GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES. I'm glad i took the time to write this out right now, it's actually relaxed me - especially writing this last sentence about GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES....

I think you analyzed your feelings pretty well. I really do understand and experience the depression feeling, and maybe not really realizing why at the time. But I agree that the weather can have a lot to do with it and lack of time off. The weather we just have to get through --- I get the March Blahs until the weather is consistently in the 50s and above. And I really do need to take a little time off here and there.

Hang in there -- March is almost over!

PS Do you change clocks for daylight savings time in NY? (Some states don't change clocks, apparently.) I found that THIS year especially, the deprivation of that 1 hour of sleep was just killing me. REALLY hard this year. I'm already looking forward to getting that hour back in the fall, LOL.

Lunch basically healthy: leftover cabbage some was roasted 100, leftover turkey burger 70, some beans 100, some other healthy items 100, and chips 130: around 500. and caffeine.

dinner sorta too much sugar, but fine: cookies and cream (not that good 1st time trying) Halo Top entire pint 320, 2 tablespoons pb 200, and some cooked cranberries 30. 550.

I'll be walking a bit on weekend, so it's ok!


Doing an additional survey for Old Navy has increased my total reward to a $125 gift card!!!!!!!!! It was for approx 3hrs online survey and also addtional trip to the mall a couple stores.  To me, it's worth it as i like the assignment, it's not too tedious, it requires me to use my mind, and it's free money!!!!!!!!

Who doesn't want $125 free to spend on clothes!? I will prob use at Old Navy, but the money can also be used at the sister stores like Athleta, Gap, etc. I like Old Navy though bc it's cheaper and the clothes still last a LONG time. It does mean i need to go to the mall this weekend, bc part of the 2nd portion (additional $50) includes a trip to TWO STORES and i must take photos, etc. there and comment on the items and displays. This has been accounted for in saying that it's a total of 3hrs online and store visits all for $125.

...while i'm at mall, i'll be exchanging old VS bras for new ones...they rebate you the lowest selling price on any old bra...i'll bring back at least TWO bras and get one free and i have a coupon - two free pairs of underwear.

I also have a coupon to a free item at Bath & Body works (no purchase necessary),

and I just recieved an email for FREE $10 to Express clothing store (no minimum purchase either!)...so the mall will be good for me this weekend!


Another Boss, whom i like thankfully and who is professional and respectful of me thankfully, asked me about last Friday's incident of which i'm not so happy about that it came up again. I dealt with it the best I could and said what i thought needed to be said. I think i could have been ever more professional about it, but i think i was 80% proactive in how i dealt with the conflict today...i was unaware he was going to ask and had practically forgot about it...lol...def didn't need reminding over it.

Also, thanks for the hug because what work conflict seems to continue to get me down lately. - it'll pass....my boss reminded me a week late almost about it - he actually brought it up to me 6 days later! today would have been the following Friday already. stupid. he shouldn't have brought it up in my opinion, i think he just wanted to see how i'd take it and gain his own experience, REALLY, as he's a year younger than i (he's 33). So maybe he wanted to see how i took a conversation with him. Well, i hope he saw that i've matured more and that i am not gonna sit back and i will stand up for myself MORE! He should have noticed :-)

I didn't do as well as I wanted to - because he totally caught me OFF Guard as i didn't expect or think he'd still bring it up to me so when i went to say hello to him, he totally asked me about it cold - but luckily i'd thought about it and had good answers to his concerns.

Back to work today...so grateful for yesterday having off...bc it wasn't safe to be out & also i was able to finish my DMV course, take an online Old Navy survey (to be continued tonight & tomorrow for a $75 gift certificate...plus i was invited for another project but it involves going to the store, i will...and i will receive $50 for the second project!!!!!!! this equals a total of $125 gift certificate!!!!!!!!!!! awesomeness!!!!!!)...

...and just relax yesterday (seriously on couch most of the day) which is awesome as usually we do not get days off in March...so I am thankful for a short week this week & the time to finish things that needed to get done..

So today, Wednesday, falling asleep at work is like a huge understatement....just feeling mad exhausted...i guess taking a sleeping pill 2 nights in a row wasn't the best idea....i am so exhausted....and have been loading up on caffeine.

...before gym i'll have a rich and sugary Snickers bar...maybe skip the caffeine as I've had too much already (equivalent of 3-4 cups coffee). Skin is broken out again i think due to having coffee/milk and lots of ice cream since the weekend this past Friday i think i've had the ice cream everyday.???  yeah i'll try to lay off caffeine for tonight...and just go work out after the chocolate bar...i think so. i can always change my mind lol....but today seems the perfect day for the Snickers!  I've been saving it in my desk tubberware for around 2-3 weeks for a day when i'm craving high sugar.


Home: little spoonful honey 50, ACV  in seltzer with steiva no cal...

Everything turned to ice yesterday and is definitely still icy today (wednesday) with temps staying below freezing...but at work & happy although pretty sleepy.

Taking day off gym no matter what, going tomorrow & Friday.

Slept in, doing some extra laundry, finishing my Defensive Driving course.

2pm snack: really tasty ice cream!

3:30 snack tons of collard greens also with tastings of a few things i bought yesterday. 200. SO GLAD I PICKED UP TONS OF FOOD! Worked out perfectly today to be able to snack on veggies!

Cooked plaintains which are very tasty.

Dinner: cooked smallish plantain, but i'll say 200, wrap 60, peanut butter 200, cooked cranberries 40, almond milk on side 50. total: 550, good!

total today is 2100, good by me! and so tasty.

fine with this. relaxing, productive day at home, no exercise except for going outside to see things very icy on the ground (was gonna walk, but came in after shoveling just a hair of snow left behind from the plow in front of my garage...so...no exercise but i was productive). gonna read & later do an old navy survey (30 min each night tonight, tomorrow, thursday for an $75 monetary reward at the end!)

1pm lunch 650 - turkey burger only no bun, some sauteed cabbage and some eggplant spread, cheez-its (computer was freezing, so i ended up just eating....!)

5:30-6am: lots of tasty strawberries and seltzer with stevia as i finish an online course. it look me longer than expected bc i frequently paused it and even practically fell asleep a few times on certain powerpont slides LOL. all is good though....need to be done with it & don't want to drag this course out through the week or into next weekend.  I have other things to do & don't need to be preoccupied with an online computer class.

Also i keep forgetting to pick up a book at library, i might also stop there before going to work if it's on the way which i think it will be coming back...or i can walk to library...:) that's killing two birds with one stone...YES! the walk is 10 minutes one way. So - that's my plan!  lol library was closed, will stop by after work :-D



I'm up very early bc couldn't sleep so i'm trying to finishing my DMV NYS Defensive Driving course online today.  I need the certificate for later in the month but i really don't want to be online taking this course after this morning! (meaning, i don't want to deal with the course anymore after today, so i'm trying to knock it out of the way - it's timed so there's no way to do it faster than the system goes. Slower, yes, but faster NO! makes sense!

After this course (still didn't finish - will finish tonight after work!), I'm driving to my accountant this morning to drop off all my tax paperwork and i'll also be able to have a short meeting with him to go over everything.  He is at least ONE HOUR if not a hair longer commute from me. I look forward to going there. It's a nice drive once i'm off the city streets and nice, very expensive community.

After the tax accountant, i'll go to work. (Got here at noon as planned!) I plan to stay at work not too late, NOT BEYOND 5pm because it'll be too much if i totally burn myself this month...i have a lot going on, but not taking days off. I'm trying to be moderate. I like having activities like i do today, to get my head "out of work" for a little bit - providing some change and an escape from routine. It's just what the dr ordered. My boss of course knows about this and he knows i'll be at work around 12pm as work is probably more close to 1.5hours from the accountant. 

I may even come home and walk 20 min before going to work at noon...SERIOUSLY. health is important. and with no days off, i need to TAKE CARE of myself.  I did pick up some fresh prepared veggies and put them home in my fridge before work bc we are supposed to get a big storm tomorrow - now i'm prepared to stay home if we have another snow day - looks that way! We may get 1-2 FEET.

Good Sunday! Friend slept over last night (we both drank WAYYY too much and had too much fun and she def needed to sleep over & NOT drive the 30min home it would be totally unsafe!)...all was good, had a blast last night. 4shots, 1 drink...great dinner, great show (Off broadway, but still funny and 1.5hours which was perfect!).

Today is sorta simple day - doing extra laundry bc friend was over i wanna wash the couch throw blanket and also was in city, just wanna wash everything.

Gonna do an online course i started yesterday - NYS Defensive Driving...it's 6 hours total...wanna try to finish it TODAY or tomorrow.

Stopping back at Express store to get diff size pants as mine are a bit loose and not what i expected...maybe also goto Bath & Body works because i missed out on a deal buy 1, get one free...I am eligible for 2 free items, full size, might as well take advantage!

Gym later this LATE afternoon.

Not even gonna go food shopping i don't think....at all.....i'll eat what i already have at home for the first few days this week - got enough veggies to last a few days.

Breakfast: protein probiotic muffin 240, with very small sweet potato tiny 50 no skin, and cooked cranberries not more than 50cal. total is great 350 :-) so tasty!!! 

roasted cabbage, the entire bag lol 350, chips 150. 450-500 def not more though.

850 so far, good.

doing an online defensive driving course and getting WAY TOO SNACKY! LOL. back to work....

Morning has been productive with starting an online course that i've already put 2/6 hours into and may do more...but now showering and soon to start my laundry. might as well do it today instead of tomorrow, when i'm also planning on continuing this course online. I may be able to bang out all 6 hours this weekend, hopefully. because dragging it out is ANNOYING! :)  


this afternoon should be SO FUN. and evening :-)

going to a show in city it's shorter from 6-7:30 and hopefully getting into city with enough time for a drink or two before the show and hopefully out to eat after the show!

Home: kombucha at 4am and kombucha at 6:30am, did the trick :-) best flavors ever....a Rose flavor, 80 cal & a tumeric flavor, 70 cal. 150 total, 4 cups.

8:30am breakfast at work: wrap 80, extra cream cheese 120, small bit of sweet potato 50, lox 50: 300.  Caffeine drops. and coffee also.

12pm snack:  almonds 100 cal

1pm Healthy lunch as usual: 1 egg, 2 wgg whites, 150, veggies 40, eggplant spread 150, small sweet potato with skin 100, small orange 100 most. 550. caffeine after lunch, having an...interesting day....some candies after lunch. 50

1200, excellent, planning on sleeping a lot tonight...for sure...

bar 200, drink 20, pickles. 300 total




Involved in an Incident at work that ended luckily as positively as possible, will write about later....could have ended MUCH WORSE.  VERY THANKFUL for a good Human Resources woman here who is extremely professional.

How do you prepare your sweet potatoes to make them appealing? I was so use to a bunch of sugar and butter, that now I am unsure how to eat them.

I recently have been baking / roasting veggies. You can slice the potatoes, toss them with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and roast...or you can even mash them and also add the salt / pepper...they do need flavor, so true!

Thanks J...it was a serious disaster at work...

...but as the weekend went by, all i can think is how wrong she was compared to how right i was....but sometimes messing with a boss and speaking out sorta rudely will still have me in more trouble...despite if what i was speaking out for was a valid point.

what happened was, i was not happy about continuing to hear a certain bitchy boss call my coworker. She's sorta a boss, not mine at all, and she rose in the company from originally coming from nothing. Doubt she ever went to college at all...

Anyways, she calls my male 50ish coworker "Baby Mel." instead of his real name, Sal. The reason she calls him that is his dad used to work for the company, as basically 2nd highest in command of over 2,000-3,000 people and Mel was Sal's father. I think it's a horrible nickname as his father isn't even here now...and she calls him "Baby Mel" in front of everyone. I feel it's downplaying Sal's performance at work - constantly referring to him as "his father's baby..." i just hate the nickname and i do KNOW for a fact that Sal doens't like it either. But he'll never speak up for himself, he did tell me he didn't like it when i ask him. But i gotta say, if she's gonna keep with it, i just detested it...i walked to her office and quite forcefully told her how rude it was to call him that....

and i ended up getting blamed, for being "hostile" in the workplace....it was a disaster.

HR told her immediately to STOP calling Sal the name.

But i got spoken to and warned that if i kept up my "hostile" attitude, i could be FIRED!

imagine that!

I was so upset Friday. It was a really, really upsetting sitution.

The woman that i spoke up to, the biatch, is a Bully by nature. I could have done it a little smoother and less aggresively, but i had enough of hearing her call Sal "Baby Mel" for the thousandth time, she NEVER calls him by his true name. What a biatch. I hate her.

When i first came to my company, I'd say hello to her and she'd walk right by me, ignoring me despite my saying hello to her! This woman is a true selfish piece of shiat.

And she tried to have my fired, that inconsiderate piece of work she is.
