Calories before gym: cliff bar 250, strawberries 50, banana 120: just gonna say 450.

1700, good.

Calories after gym: a light protein bar, actually, higher in carbs.  Perfect after gym!

So today...feeling again like i'm forgetting to calculate something?...it's 1900 calories = Major Success! :)

Happy to be doing a bit better in terms of calories. Actually, very happy.  

I have a renewed confidence that I will be able to transform my body for the academy (lower body) and that when it's beach season, I'm going to enjoy it and not shy away at the beach because I don't look perfect...

It is a downer that I wasn't able to be active this month before beach season.  I was really looking forward to starting to jog and walking more.  Since I overdid it, I'll now be working on the tendonitis in my ankle at the PT office this month. But, in a way, it's good...and I am going to get the support I need there as well as the help to start jogging from a professional who will try to make sure I don't overdo it on my own...so, maybe it's sort of a blessing in disguise.

So right now, and the past few weeks, I am not walking at lunch or doing any extra walking bc the ankle cannot take the added stress yet.  Believe me, if I felt good, I'd be outside :) at lunch!

Either way, I'm confident I will make it thru like so many others have.  It just is annoying at this moment in time, when things are not great and I am forced to sit extra...when my goal was to shape up, perfectly haha, for the beach.  This is what happens when you are sometimes a perfectionist  in some things , but really the word is OCD / Compulsive. I'm not putting myself down, these are just some parts of me and i'm admitting right now that because I went and did too much, now I am paying the price and doing nothing (cadio).

Like I said, I'm confident I'm going to get thru this and that I will be better in the end.  I will be successful because I am smart and dedicated enough to travel the long road to getting into the NYPD academy.  I will reach this goal because it's really what I want.  Because it means the world to me. :)

And depending how I feel, and when I feel better, I'll know when I will enter. Whether it be next summer as I originally planned to reinstate my application, the winter after that (not a fan, because I have allergies and it will not be easy to get thru the academy while feeling sick for 1-2 months), or the following summer (sounds like the best choice right now except that it's a full 2 years away - too long...).  Who knows, if I do feel better sooner and continue the right way with PT, I may be ok for next summer.  But, no more pushing, more following the PT, and more positive thinking is what will definitely get there fastest :)

Still craving salt.  Still craving sugar.  So weird...but i'll get thru.

I think lately in the morning I am rushing, way too much.  And it's making me anxious which is exacerbating feelings of low energy, low blood pressure / sugar at work....things to think about.  never had these crazy feelings before, so i'm just working on relaxing.

1400 calories before coming home.

had a bigger dinner, extra carbs.

veggies: 200 around...at least...rice 250, chips 280, chicken 200 at least: 900 or so.

total: 2300. yucko!...but in the scheme of things, not that bad.  but no exercise today.

I am sorta actually happy with that total, bc I feel better after eating those carbs.

I may need to eat more of them until I feel better...still dizziness and bathroom isn't as solid as it should be (yeah, yeah, TMI).  it's been going on a bit over one week.

and bed early tonight bc I will be going to the gym after work.

I told my boss that I have PT on Tues / Thurs (but that's really my gym days) and I will be going to PT probably only wed and Friday or Sat (2 days a week). I did this on purpose, to make sure i'm out of work at 4:30 on tues / thurs for gym. it's a good idea, for sure. it also gives me a bit of a break and the ability to leave on time for the gym (which is a lengthy activity, hence it's better to get there early!)

exercise: my hardcore weights routine at gym with several large breaks bc I found it a challenge to complete the workout, which is good...and it made me sweat, which is probably great. It tired me out to the core, bc it is a long workout, I did have a shake (milk, protein powder, half banana) at the beginning and also finished the second half the shake when I had 1/3 of my workout left...I stayed at the gym around 3 hours, but it wasn't a continuous workout. like I said, many breaks.

I definitely want to continue with my fitness goals...taking the week off was good for my ankle, but now i'm looking to move past it.

I will take another break tomorrow, no exercise, Tuesday will be weights, and Wednesday I will finally start PT after work. Thursday will be weights.  And Saturday, since i'm not getting together with my best friend that day, I'll also go to PT in the morning (rather than Friday after work).

You were right with the fiber1. I've learned that even too much fiber can be a bad thing. Needless to say...im backed up lol. Are you still trying for the police academy? YES, Same girl. Army chick lol. Im trying just fruits and veggies and nuts and beans for now....I have like 20 lbs of padding I need to lose from the ankle injury...which I know is "supposed" to happen from the wise words of my doctor, but it doesnt mean i like it lol

Yes, I am still trying for the police!!! But first, before that, I have my sister's wedding this coming April. Then, depending on how my ankle is and how my physical fitness progress is overall, I will probably enter the academy July '16....or maybe January '17 - it's all up in question bc I cannot tell now when my body will be healed and also when it will be strong enough to be in 6 months of police academy physical training...I will know closer to the time I enter (yeah, it's in mind hands now, as I am the one who put it on hold). .....

Sorry so lengthy....

Only thing I worry about for the January '17 academy is that it lasts winter-summer and that includes SPRING, when I have allergies. I have allergies around 1-2 months and it would make it difficult for me in the academy.

But instead of waiting all the way till July '17, after the January one, I'll prob just deal with the allergies and do that academy.

2 years seems to long to me (to wait all the way till summer '17 seems to me to be ridiculous.)...so yeah, i'll be in probably in 1.5 years :)

besides the allergies, it would be a perfect time for me to be in it.

ok, so yeah, the physical therapy will help tremendously. I start this week for my ankle and i'm excited about it, actually!

Yes too much fiber is a killer! I actually had a similar problem these past 3 weeks. I was continuously bloated from too much veggies and no exercise. So my digestion actually slowed down - because I really was inactive ALL DAY. So for this week, I'm going to try to incorporate a little walking every day, even if it's just 10 minutes at a time!

I think you are smart to be eating the fruits, veggies, nuts and beans. That is good because u have the fruit, veggies, a little fat and fiber / protein. Protein always helps me stay full longer, protein and fat.

Happy Saturday? No sleeping pills last night, I was able to sleep thru the night mostly, and even sleep extra without pills this AM....still feeling run down and not even exercising.  Ankle is slightly better today, compared with last week. I want to go back to the gym tomorrow for weights so badly.

Plan is to relax the rest of today, no laundry until maybe tonight after my friend leaves to go home after dinner...Planning to do laundry nice and late tonight, I think, so it's done by tomorrow. If I get motivated at all to get off this couch, I doubt it, i'll do it before she comes...blech.

If I am going to relax my ankle, I might as well fully relax - another reason to keep on doing nothing until next week...shoot, forgot to all and make a PT apt for Monday or Wednesday. oops.  I may actually wait it out...rest myself more....and start everything later next week, we'll see...but I know the gym would do me some good, too...I am feeling lazy but at the same time feeling tired.

I just keep realizing how my job makes it so difficult to stay in shape. There is so little time to "catch up" when we miss exercise days...it's like a domino effect and all the dominos always end up falling down....ugh.

Breakfast: 2 cups fiber one with one cup almond milk, half cup of coconut water. 300.

Snacking: 2 40 cal frozen fruit bars . 80

early 11am-11:30am lunch: chicken around 200 cal at most, lots of veggies in basil sauce, I bought it yesterday when I ordered my dinner at the thai place on purpose extra for today... 200, and rice 200 with some sauce 50: total 650 ouch. well, it's def not more than that...doubt it.

total today so far: 1050 or so, more than I planned, that's why it's good I calculated what I just ate for lunch! wow...and realizing I am not energized to do laundry means I am  not going to do it. will probably just continue to lie here on the couch and quickly shower before my friend comes over around 3:30pm. hopefully i'll change my mind and do laundry soon..

Overall around 2050, good.

thanks Biscotti...I am just glad I can at least continue the gym workouts, as my ankle doesn't seem any worse than it was yesterday...thank god. Will be starting PT...and even though I would have liked to be walking lots, this month before summer and shorts and stuff...i'll have to be patient and glad at least I can continue going to the gym for weights!

Before dinner 1700. Total calories are around 2350 for Friday. Still no exercise.  And I am taking Saturday off from gym too and any exercise...so, it will be a week of minimal activity after today ends. Tomorrow I will go back to the gym - it may seem like I am pushing it, but I have to.. I think Monday I will go to physical therapy, Tuesday evening gym, Wednesday I'll take the evening off going anywhere, Thursday Gym, and Friday I will try to go to PT after work...or, I will just skip it till the next week.  I realize I should not try to fit EVERYTHING in all at once. last time I did PT, I would go at first 3x per week...that is too much for me, right now.  Def only 2x...that is plenty. I cannot be on the go all day or even most days anymore.  Everyone's different and my alone time has become a necessity...not just a want anymore.  After the injuries is when this all became very clear to me...and even now, it's even clearer, that I cannot push my limits.  It will only typically result in failure...I must try to achieve a better balance in my life. 

Dinner: Lots of vegetable soup (I ordered 2 pints - and it's very good soup - even has garlic, other seasonings, baby bok choy, Chinese cabbage, mushrooms, carrot, peppers - it's great - the works, not a typical "Chinese takeout vegetable soup") from  my favorite and best Thai restaurant (it's called Thai Taste) 150 cals, at least, 3 lg shrimp 50?, lots of veggies in ginger sauce around 150?, some white rice with the same ginger sauce veggies were in around 250 most...650 total...I was debating skipping rice at dinner, but needed the rice, was feeling so dizzy, again, and needed it to balance out all the veggies and everything I had at dinner!  Something with me is still a little off...and lack of exercise could have triggered it, as well as nerves and anxiety.

I am even still getting a light cramp in my right thigh (usually lately only during my period)...lol...sorry to any man reading this - maybe it's my body ovulating? I don't feel it ever...but maybe the lack of exercise is making me feel what's going on with the other muscles in my body used by the systems that must use them - digestion, hormonal stuff, etc.

Today included cake, real bday cake for a celebration in the office.  Cake was mostly icing...icing all on outside and two layers of cream cheese filling on inside - rich sugary cake. It did taste great but def didn't make me feel great. I do eat sugary foods - like my bars - especially those Cliff bars.  But, this was the FIRST time having this type of cake (and eating the whole thing, not just the fluffy cake part minus the icing...the whole thing this time) in YEARS.  Yes, I haven't had a real "bday cake" in YEARS.  and by the time I finished the cake, 2pm or so, 4pm I was also starving. So what i'm saying is, I can continue not eating cake :)  Or eating it, but realizing, it will not make me feel good, only my tastebuds (and that's an all-good feeling that's over in minutes, if that!)

Lots of highs and lows with cravings and sugars on Friday.  In the morning, I was craving bacon.  I went to dunkin donuts before work and ordered egg and bacon on a plain bagel.  I also had a banana in the morning, not feeling great and worried about getting dizzy again at work.  I split the bagel sandwich in half, having half at 8am with the banana, and half at 10am.  I was even starving again by noon.  Like I was saying, huge highs & lows...oh, also at 10am, I had a sugary granola bar, 160 cals....it did help me right when I ate it, to calm down the cravings, but I was exceedingly hungry by lunch at noon, instead of 1.  I was only having water Friday, no teas or coffee, that could be why I was not able to satisfy myself like I normally do in mornings...Usually, when I get hungry at work, I tame it with coffee / tea that I have at my desk all morning, since I come in at 8am.

You know, I'm going to have to "clean up" my diet...yeah. again. def coffee should be a no-no.  and tea...well...maybe no more. Maybe water is better, personally, for me..  Maybe tea in afternoon :) Maybe with a small snack of fruit...not sure, have to think about it. If I cleared up the "caffeine" drinks / energy drinks, coffee, and tea situation in my diet, my skin would probably clear up, almost fully, for good...

Lunch I had a serving of chips, on purpose, they are veggie chips and have decent amount of fat and also they would calm my stomach which was still not settled...I had them with a decent serving of chicken and some salad.  Finally a lighter lunch (many times, I eat like 500-600 or sometimes more calories at lunch at work. It's gotten out of control..bc sometimes it even closer to 700, will look to fix this - maybe next week I'll continue to take the week off the gym and stuff, prob not though - but if I did, I could eat the lighter lunch and at least plan to have also a healthier dinner - not bars and junk like I eat when I do have to go to the gym...) After lunch, calories were only around 1310 bc it was a light lunch.

But I overheard there was cake...and after lunch,  just like 2 hours later around when the cake was coming, 2pm, I mentally decided I would definitely enjoy a piece today. I decided to only tack on 300 cals for the cake...(who knows what real calories were).

I hope to relax most of this weekend can't wait to exercise on Sunday. Way too much sitting and my whole body feels extremely out of whack. Digestion included. Very bloated and also having slight diarrhea sorry tmi - no exercise and complete sitting all day isn't good. And period is not in sight, it ended not too long ago.  I feel disgusting. And I have been eating more....just big cravings. Will go to bed early tonight (Friday).

Lately having a hard time limiting my calories. and definitely feeling a bit extra padding even around my stomach after this lack of exercise and sorta higher calories. ugh! if only I could move my body, weight wouldn't be a problem...

calories till I got home from work: 1500.

BIG dinner (higher calories, but still in some sorta range, not totally overdone): kale salad with some marinated onions and other veggies...around 100, tons of roasted brussel sprouts with a bit too much oil 300?, chips 200, and...peanut butter with sf jelly on a wrap for dessert 250 at most here: total....850, blech...I need to calculate better...but....yeah. at least I am VERY full and already wanting sleep...

2350 cals.

I may try a fast till noon tomorrow, but I am doubting it's a good idea at all...but...maybe no breakfast, just coffee. we'll see.

Around 2050, maybe a tad higher. No exercise. No weights. A little depressed over it. Ankle feeling slightly better but taking anti inflammatories and sleeping pills and I think the sleeping pills are not working as well as they were....so def need to stop them, maybe. Goodnight.

yeah....I thought it was on the mend after 3 weeks and reinjured it last week or so...all the progress of 3 weeks went down the tube. Now, it's just marked past the month-mark...and I hope to have it all sorted out & better by next month to the point where I am walking again. this week is rest...next week I begin physical therapy...I am hoping to kick this injury in the behind bc I do not want it stalling me for months and months....to answer your question, it's been just over a month :(

So yeah, forcing myself to be home today - only grocery shopping (which really can also wait till Wednesday if I prefer....) will stay home, ALL DAY.

Forcing myself to stay home bc of ankle.  It's not in good condition so I feel I should try to rest it while I can.

I may skip the gym all week - take a break from everything. As for physical therapy, I may also choose to start it up next week, when my ankle is less painful...

Sucks that my favorite activity (gym) needs to be put on hold.  Perhaps I'll feel better tomorrow & go after work. Boss is not even here this week....perfect week to do more at the gym...darn!

10:30am breakfast: oat bran 120, raspberry sugar free nasty jelly I may throw out 10, peanut butter 100, fruit 100, 2% Greek yogurt and stevia 150: total here 480
