I weighed 117lbs this morning, not my lightest but not bad. I'm comfortable as long as it stays like this right now.  My recored weight will only be entered here 1x per week, Saturdays.

6am Morning: Really cool flavor nice & strong kombucha 50,

8:00am thru 9:45am also coffee with milk 50 at work. total 100.

Late, extremely tasty breakfast at 10am at work: 2 pieces white toast 150 with 1 fried egg 100 and extra extra bacon 300. Hits the spot, needed the rest of my coffee with it! LOL. puts you to sleep! And a little ketchup as well. 550?

1pm Lunch: already decided...lots of veggies, mixed nuts, diet coke or something similiar. around 500-550. good.

snack on way home: small plum 50 most.

1200 before dinner.

Big, perfect & tasty dinner: lots of sautéed brussel sprouts with some onions 250?, chips 150, and a protein muffin I cooked up 250 most. everything here: 650 most.

total today: 1850, tops. no exercise. just gonna relax and hope to go to bed early. I might take something to help me sleep in an hour or so (it's only 6pm now). I need a little extra sleep...

one more chocolate protein muffin, sooooo good!

total today: around 2050.

Plain white toast is good because it’s on the small side – not a ton of carbs, more balanced type of breakfast sandwich and cheap – around $3 from the nearby deli! Yeah. Good deals in Queens. And prob healthier than Dunkin..but reason I got it is that I didn’t have time to stop at Dunkin before work so I asked my coworker if she wanted to order with me! This place has such tasty food…

650 before lunch which is going to be TONS of veggies and mixed, salted nuts (nuts from my boss!). change of pace = excellent. Planning on a very early dinner as well as very early to bed and reading that I keep putting off because I get caught up with internet browsing and get tired by the time I actually touch my book…hours pass so easily when I web-browse! Lol…

Maybe i shouldn't have taken the Melatonin last night? I took it really early - around 7pm or earlier. Only 3mg.

I am not sure what's up other than the springtime and allergies. I tend to feel extremely down during this season.

I am continuously feeling VERY tired. Even driving to work, I was fighting my tired eyes to stay open....they were, i'm just really, really tired.

But i'm not planning on skipping the gym tonight. However, if i do not feel up to a full workout, I will leave after doing most...I need to try to take care of myself right now...

I even ordered a heavier breakfast at work (which continued to put me to sleep lol...needed the extra protein / fat / carbs and less sugar)

Drinks today: a probiotic 40 in the morning soda low cal and coffee with milk at work60, then white toast 150 with a fried egg 100 and extra bacon 300 (and butter)?WAS GREAT, later part of an energy drink that i'll maybe finish later, and a light whipped yogurt 80. all together, it's still only around 850 calories which is great at most. I need more carbs right now...just tired... may buy chips or pretzels with lunch...

1pm lunch, basically healthy stuff Lunch was tons of veggies cooked and a big serving of mixed nuts.

1350 before leaving work...

feeling under the weather, but some movement at the gym will help me feel better....i haven't really moved around much since Sunday :)

and i plan to sleep well after the gym tonight!  anyways, i'm gonna try to stress less...right? it is what it is right now!

feeling extremely tired right now.

I left work a tad early, boss wasn't in today. i'm  glad I chose to leave and I decided this all the way last week. I was supposed to go to therapy, but I canceled it because I wanted to go home and rest and read. that's what i'm doing.

I also found a Vegan restaurant with tons of veggies. It's called "Veggie Castle II" and it's been around a LONG time! it's only 2mi from work! I shall be back! and it's on the way home :)

anyways, i'm exhausted as I didn't sleep well last night...

1200 before dinner.

dinner was big: tons of veggies, mostly steamed and spiced, some sauce: around 400 most, then a fruit 100 most, and yogurt with peanut butter 200 most. I am very tired.

1900, good.

no exercise.

I need to go to bed early tonight.

my mom was telling me how she doesn't approve of my leaving work and cancelling a therapy appt but still leaving work like i had one...

honestly, i do not think that she should have judged me for making a decision that is personal to me...after all, she doesn't know how i'm feeling or what is the best choice for me, you know!?

i think sometimes people shouldn't judge...

Surprisingly, I didn't really sleep in today. I may take a nap if I get tired, but I woke up before 6am. I am starting to have a lot more energy and it feels wonderful.

6am thru 8am: Early small meal SO GOOD!: kombucha 110, seltzer with stevia and dark chocolate 90. total - 200.

9am meal: 2 servings chips  260, tofu 50, smoked turkey slices 90 400, some kale salad 50

11:15am snack: sweet potato crisps 160

810 :)  I don't care too much about low cals today. I am STILL debating not going to the gym today....sunday. so...I might not. I might wait to wash my hair on Monday morning. still not sure...I could just go to the gym Monday...thinking about it.

1pm lunch: rest of my wrap from the diner last night (egg whites, salmon, veggies) prob around 250? most?, rest of the kale salad 100...just eating all day. still not high energy I guess. 350 here.

around 1150 so far, good. (really, i haven't been very productive as even though i'm sleeping better, i'm not really motivated today?...all i've done is constantly eat lol! and totally NOT in the mood to even enter a supermarket.) now looking to maybe get my toes fixed up today & go to the gym after I guess..

Snack before gym lite 150 cal 1300 Snack after gym frozen yogurt very lite 100! 1400 :)

Protein pancake for dinner..made with egg whites, protein powder, stevia, topped with pb and jelly...around 450.

Yesterday, the movie theater actually had a busted system so we didn't end up seeing the movie. We were given both a refund and comps. Worth it. And the movie was in a shopping center, so we shopped instead! And there were sales. So I got a few things at Bath & Body Works! I bought my dad half of a Father's Day present (I feel I didn't spend enough for a full gift, but I may just give this....only added up to $20, so I may look to add to it...) My friend also got me TWO new free pairs of underwear from Victoria's Secret! (she actually doesn't like the free underwear!? so I gladly accept!)..What else? oh, I also bought a totally new flavor kombucha I've never tried called "Sweet Thorn" - that's the flavor. so nice! and I bought the chocolates there. .. Did we go anywhere else!? yes, we also walked into Yankee Candle. I think this is basically it. It was a huge shopping center but we just went to our fave stores. and we tried to see the moving later, but the theater still had a problem so we just got our money back (no comps the second time). Still a great deal.

So, of course i'm a tad sore from doing more walking yesterday than usual. But I'm happy we did get to walk. Later today i'll get to the gym. I was debating holding off till Monday to go because I got a Keratin in my hair, but, no...I want to be back on schedule with the gym and there's no such thing as delays as a delay just turns into missed gym days....I was thinking to not wash my hair for the best deal - the 3 days, but i'm washing it only after 1.5 days. I don't care...gym is more important!

...but in terms of gym, I may just change my mind & take today as a rest day. Not sure.

nah, I can rest tomorrow as i'm getting out of work early & plan to do some food shopping then instead of today. The only thing I need to do today is laundry & gym. Nothing else :) and seltzers...I need seltzer.

and...maybe take off the nailpolish that's been on my toes since the beginning of April for my sister's wedding :) ...but I can do this tomorrow if I want to...after work. since I walked yesterday, I now don't care about walking on Monday even though i'll be getting out of work early, it's not that early! 3pm...perfect for adding in a small extra errand like getting my toes cleaned up!

8am-10am breakfast: kombucha 50, small plum 40, seltzer with stevia, popcorn 80, yogurt 80: around 250.

10:30am snack: light and fit yogurt: banana with chocolate on top! YUM! 100

11am: BING Black Raspberry 50

Noon: full lunch in the end :) ...bacon jerky 150, some cucumber salad 50?, leftover bites of sautéed okra 50, sautéed bok choy 150. total around 400-450

Plans for today: seltzer...maybe an iced coffee before dinner, after movie from dunkin.

2:30pm: regular coffee 50 (to have with movie that never happened because of technical issues!)

4:30pm chocolate 100

Bigger dinner: stewed zucchini 100?, sautéed escarole 200?, sautéed lighter though spinach 100 at most, most of a wrap 200? with egg whites, veggies and some lox 150? - total here around 750 (Diner was GREAT!)

1700 here at most....and then at home some chips and a plum 230 more.

total today: around 1900, happy with this.

the movie was a bust - the projector was broken - but we did get  free movie comps out of the deal and our money back. good deal overall....and instead of watching a movie, we walked around shopping and then had an early dinner. overall, it was a great day and nice weather as well.


I am feeling totally snacky and not even hungry anymore this morning as I've been eating & drinking a lot and I am satisfied in my stomach and mind. 

I am trying to take my mind off food for the rest of the morning - because i'm set on learning how to do things without eating first. I have a tendency to want to eat all the time and especially before I am productive. I'm going to seriously work on this or i'll have a problem when i'm studying and back to school in the NYPD academy. Just chilling now & relaxing. 

My plan is to only eat one large volume meal today at dinner. I plan on eating tons because i'm going out with my best friend. I am set on maybe veggies and also eggs with lox...we are going to a diner and the menu is huge. I want to eat something nice tonight & keep calories very low today. My goal is around 1500 cals today...maybe I don't even have to fully "binge" on veggies at dinner...maybe another goal for the remaining time till NYPD is to put less focus on food.  Change of mindset, but we'll see. I'm doing good now.

Ok. I do have nice plans today! My friend is coming over at 1 & we are going to see the new movie The Huntsman: Winter's War. I'll update you all on if it was any good! :) I think it will, great actors are starring in it.  After the movie, we'll be shopping a little in the shopping center right there where the movie is showing.  It's one of the best shopping outdoor malls in all of Queens, NY i'd say! wahoo! After that, we're eating at a nearby Diner in the same town. perfecto - a nice, easy day. still not much exercise which is FINE. On Monday eve, i'm leaving work early & will come home to walk around my neighborhood I am thinking - or...I may even walk along the nearby Throggs Neck bridge if the weather is suitable, i'll have to check as it will probably not be warm enough - but I can always dress warmer :) 

Reason I can go somewhere Monday is that i'm leaving work early at 3pm instead of 4:30pm. I had made a dr appointment & told my boss - but....I cancelled the dr apt (which is important, it's my 1x a month therapy appointment, actually!), but you see - my boss is out Monday, and i'm going to be sitting at my desk all day - and I am realizing that since it's a low stress day, I can leave early and instead of rushing to therapy, I can take the time to really give myself some nice therapy which would be some physical activity - outdoors! :)

Thank you, Fran :-) I am very happy to have nice plans today. It's the first time in like (many months!?) that i'm sharing a low key weekend (but eventful) with my best friend.

Really, this whole winter starting in December thru NOW, was all about big plans or events. Or rushing around with dress fittings or just feeling run down.

I am so happy to have a nice, relaxed weekend with my bestie.

I will not cancel my keratin hair apt bc I will regret not being able to blowdry my hair quickly next week! :) I will deal with coming home later tonight & also I will not be happy with myself if I fail to keep calories very low today. I'm sick of eating more than I plan to because of people tempting me with things they bring and my own poorer choices. I'm happy to be getting back on track now.

6:30am: kombucha 50

8:30am This awesome muffin mixture by FlapJacked! I think I ordered more in chocolate, gotta check my Amazon account - they are seriously awesome! they have fiber which is extra good on weekends for me...and also I had the my fave energy drink - Blackberry BING! 250 

All the BING flavors are good (cherry, blackberry, apple, raspberry). low calorie ranging between 30-40 per can and it's around 100mg caffeine which is around the same as a cup of coffee. lightly carbonated and very tasty - I've been enjoying them in the mornings. I do like my caffeine and lately i'm even good for sleeping through the night better...well, at least the days that I stop caffeine around 3pm. last night I did still sleep well, just woke a few times to pee since I was drinking lots of seltzer even after the gym...speaking of, I am now out of seltzer.

300. Snack will be a yogurt I am thinking, for only 80 cal and tasty. I am sick of eating extra calories this month! trying for lower cals and to go back to a weight that doesn't go above 115. I want 110-115. i'll stop there. because the more important thing is to continue my fitness and strengthen my legs. I am enjoying my caffeine use these days!


1150 before dinner....gonna go get my hair done in a few minutes. hope to be home around 7pm hopefully, but maybe closer to 7:30pm and hopefully not 8 but really, who cares!? ;)

around 1600 today. good. I got home majorly late from haircut bc I had a new, young girl. she did a fine job, but took forever (like at least 1hr longer than usual!). overall, it took 3hrs.

lately, I have HUGE fluctuations in weight from 114 (but not often now) up to 118.5 which was today! ugh!

anyways, overall i'm still content with myself. but I would rather be at the lower end.

I don't have a goal to really be any lower than 110 at all.

my goal is really to strengthen my legs for running...so...as we go through summer and all, i'll be content on maintaining 112-115 (I prefer a hair lower than 118-120 like I weighed today at 118.4 which is starting to get too high and uncomfortable / tight in my clothes)...

...anyways, as I go through the seasons of spring / summer and back to fall, I really just have a goal of maintaining the hard work I did for my sister's wedding & learning to eat and live at the lower weight (no more 120's like I used to be for a few years when exercise was less steady and very inconsistent).

as I've gotten older and out of my 20's, I've been able to learn more what it takes to discipline myself and also what it takes to remain satisfied and eat to be leaner.


Today, I am reminded how dedicated I was in the winter for the body that I do have now!

...I was looking through notes I made on my computer at work...and I actually wrote a note to myself in the wintertime before a busy weekend "Put in the work now so I will SHINE in April!" ....

and I did put in the work...and I did shine! and i'm still shining.

I'm so happy, Fran, at myself and the progress I worked towards.

It's so easy to be complacent and/or forget and lose myself and my dreams. i'm glad I came across that note on my computer calendar today...(it's a special calendar that I look back at - says all my events / vaca / holidays...something I made that only I can see.) it shows times I leave early and everything. very specified calendar with all sorts of fun plans / notes to keep me motivated! :)

yeah, I changed my goals. :)

Hey Coach - what a great message above. You are Shining and you are so supportive of us. You help me realize that I have to take control and not let the food control me. For too long I have let frosting filled donuts and whoopie pies call my name and even though I hesitate, I still eat them. I crave sugar all the time and if I don't take Control, it is my problem. Please keep sharing your story - I know I need to read the gritty details of how to walk and run this journey. Your note above causes me to confess...I did purchase 4 whoopie pies yesterday and scarfed one down immediately after I got home. I followed up with a bowl of fresh fruit but the damage was done...At this minute, I am giving the other 3 to my son so I won't be tempted. I must run my shopping cart past the bakery until I get my act together.

a little bit tired today after a lot of running around since Monday. Today's a night off any errands (besides food!) and off from gym also.

Really happy to go home tonight, I do as I please.

On another note, I want to start dating a little bit. But it has to be a guy who also wants some freedom. I don't want a guy all over me and never needing time alone...! ugh.

and i'm stopping weighing myself more than 1x a week like I used to. bc today i'm up a lb from yesterday. I prefer to just weigh in Saturdays like I was doing previously.

at most, dinner was 850. hoping for less though. gonna say 800 because i'm being nice to myself right now.

I think dating is a leap of faith even at my age there are still some very good men out there and I have been very fortunate to have met a few but on the other hand it seems I always get in sickness and health vows.... after being widowed twice I am hoping to leave this one above ground. In the long run it has all been very good because it is hard to rate love and happiness for how ever long it is for. Life is short and the road of being two is far less lonely and brings a lot of joy.

I received at least 2 compliments from two very different people at two very different places today on my body / weight. !!! wow. I guess I did something right. :)

Should be a good day, have a couple errands after work followed by a union meeting that starts near my apt. at 6pm and ends before 7pm. good. i'll eat afterwards.
weight back down today. (debloating after the most annoying PMS...cramps before getting it (not too painful, but there...and then minor but annoying back and leg pain during...sorry OR)
6am: kombucha strong! 60
9:30am: large banana 160, chocolate muffin! 220 wow!!! From “Jacked” must order more of these microwave treats! Wow!

somebody brought some cake and I actually ate some at lunch.

no worries, calories still in check even though not as low as it could have been:

dinner was too late (around 7:45pm) and hopefully not more than around 450, most.

total today: 1850, didn't need the cake. wasn't even great.

exercise: turns out I walked 1 mile (1/2 mile to & from the meeting!)

11am: medium banana 120 and partial of the newest and tasty "GLO" bars - flavor was peanut butter dark chocolate sea salt!!!!! gave a piece to my boss. YUM! 150 for me.

total so far: 520, excellent, appetite is small today! I feel tired bc I was up a lot during night. but I also feel quite happy & positive.

1650 after gym maybe also some lite ice cream .

yeah...right? I wish it were like that forever. But it seems a mindset...a little bit...whenever I have things to motivate me, I always do so much better!

coach, I wish I could be internally motivated like you. I know that sometimes it takes an outside force to trigger an inside reaction - but I think I have gotten to where I say "I'll do what I want" Kind of a rebel of sorts. Even though I know what is good for me, I don't do it. But if I have a day where I'm busy or see something that triggers me to watch my intake - I always feel good about that, but it doesn't stay.
