1/10 Mon - Drive in, no walking, both too cold and no extra time for it. is fine!

totally good with some extra leg rest today. no exercise planned for cardio or leg work. will use my leg roller more tonight for added massage / rest.

Sunday night was a later night than planned, was talking on phone before my workout is why, prob worth it to talk tho it could have been kept shorter if i wanted it to be, should have thought more about it, then again, i can catch up on my sleep tomorow night as i could prob use more mostly cardio rest tomorrow so it's a good day to go to bed early (Monday).

TODAY'S EATS:

7:30am-10am  Breakfast: freezer burned frozen blintzes that i had cooked previously. cheese ones. 2. 250? with cooked cranberries 50. also a banana 120 and coffee 30. didn't eat it all at once. throughout the AM...

Snacks: choc 100, nut butter 100

Lunch: healthy, from home: big bowl cabbage soup with potato good amount and some broth 300, piece of skirt steak (still has it's good flavor tho a bit tougher tho flavor still great) from freezer larger piece 300. 600 healthy. needed this health. the sherry soup came out good. but i'm sick of it already. so i doubt i'll ever make it again. first time a screwed up with too much vinegar, so that's all i think about, even tho this batch is good, the flavor is similar so the negative memory makes me not want it anymore. will make a coffee to perk up...

...sorta a sour mood today bc lack of sleep / hormones as there's really nothing to be sour about.

1250

Dinner: leftovers of the remaining good size amount of cooked mediterranean veggies including potato in a thick soup 250?, chips 200, roasted cauliflower good amount 100. 550...

1800....gummies 120,

1920, goodnight.

(also to throw out the leftover pizza with pepperoni topping), too old to eat. DONE!

lower body - skip until Tuesday. cardio rest day.

pick up bananas on way home ? along with other fruit? DONE!

Fill up gas tank near home tonight. DONE...also put air in my tires :) DONE, DONE!

Because i left quickly around 3:40pm, traffic was light and of course i took the toll bridge, not wanting to get held up any longer than necessary as i found the desire to get right back home today to relax :)

bearcountrygg on 01/10/2022:
I'm afraid if I had blintzes in the freezer...they wouldn't be there long enough to get freezer burn...in fact they probably wouldn't be there long enough to even freeze at all...LOL

horn_of_plenty on 01/10/2022:
LOL yeah, they were so poor tasting! at least i could coat them in cooked cranberries that covered the cruddy taste. lol. i have been having so many leftovers...it's nuts...i am at a point where i do not need to really buy meat for long time, bc of leftovers, although those leftovers are old....

i also have salami and pork sausages in the fridge. shouldn't have bought those, forgot that i have cooked meat in freezer. will not buy meat again until SPRING. (aside from tofu/eggs!) can you believe that!?

or if i'm buying prepared foods, i would order with meat / fish but i will not be buying any more salami, sausages, or meat that requires cooking till Spring, or late Spring close to Summer!

Jacky82020 on 01/10/2022:
Oh no! People have gone to hell for tossing out pizza. It’s a mortal sin. Repent, HoP, & eat faster next time.

horn_of_plenty on 01/10/2022:
yes, too many leftovers of things...i cannot believe it!

Big Apple Circus last night was outstanding. The audience was very involved and we learned about the backgrounds of the performers. it was better than i expected! Audience even was up at dancing to the YMCA at once point, so as you can see, i'm not making up how awesome the circus was. it wasn't the acts that were most awesome, but the audience involvement and adult humor kept us laughing all night!

1/9 Sunday HOME.

Up around 8am, breakfast around 9am: maple sugar cinnamon oats 150 made with almond milk, some coffee, 50, banana 150 tops, gummy vits. 350.

11am snacking: gummies reg and chocs 150 total.

1pm-2pm Meal over a long period of time while cooking: half a head of roasted cauliflower with a good amount of olive oil: 250, small bites of remainder of chicken 100, celery lots (ate some of what i was preparing to cook!) 50, leftover remaining beans and rice small amount 100, some of the thick veggie soup i have from takeout 150, hopefully not forgetting things as i didn't record until now, after eating. 650 total. not as satisfying as it should be because i was grazing, not all of the food at once. but healthy. :) nice to get a lot of veggies in, early in the day (can digest better before tomorrow, lol). and 4 butter cookies. 150.

......fell asleep around 2-3pm with a guinea pig on me.

3:30 snack: wafers and a coffee 100.,

4pm-4:30pm yogurt chobani 2% choc with orange underneath 150 maybe some kombucha too as i have an ongoing appetite 50

snack before workout chocolate 100

snack after workout: wafers 160.; 10pm now, and a chocolate. 50.

it's a later night than planned, was talking on phone before my workout is why, prob worth it to talk tho it could have been kept shorter if i wanted it to be, should have thought more about it, then again, i can catch up on my sleep tomorow night as i could prob use more mostly cardio rest tomorrow so it's a good day to go to bed early (Monday).

1900.

......I have a bunch of things to do today; all at home, but i plan to get them done on the semi earlier side so that i can rest tonight....i may start weight early, skipping lower lunges/squats to give my legs a break. skip legs until Tuesday.

Wearing more comfortable shoes last night, commuting was much easier. I was wearing winter boots, but more for comfort/style and not "heavy snow boots."

Also, i plan to do all the slicing/dicing for cooking earlier too. - yep!

  • upper/lower workout, cardio rest. - workout ended up being a late night one because had phone call around 6pm which was when i was going to start my workout., anyways, started at 8pm, put soups away and cleaned up during workout; showered near the end, finished workout at 10pm. DONE!
  •  reading romance novel for relaxation. DONE!
  • IF TIME / MY PATIENCE PERMITS: read more on courts, go thru sample test for 'Clerical Assistant' the low( est)level  entry test as that is one i'd be taking also - because any in to the courts I will take. There's multiple opportunities to take more tests once working for courts for only 2 years...so an IN is in IN...and i will move out of my current ( indurstry as FAST AS POSSIBLE to start in courts.

CLERICAL ASST (assistant) starts at a salary around 40-42k (JG12),

COURT  ASST which starts at 48-50k (JG16) , which is the one i want.

there's also one that starts right in the middle, JG14 around 44-46k to start, called REVENUE ASST (wasn't really too familiar with this one previously, didn't see any tests for it ever adverised...)

Obviously, they are all around the same salary, not any salary to brag about lol, so i will take ANY IN to the courts i can get...fingers crossed for this in my future. They will raise to around 70-80k after 7 years or so (or sooner if i take advacnement tests to other titles), with steps increasing each year on the way;  as long as i take at least one test for advancement.

Seriously, i could be at 60k in 5 years after I start in the courts at those starting salaries i mentioned...i just have to get started. And 60k is 13k more than i make now...so there you go....i just need to START...and that's why i am reviewing tests.

both the court assistant and revenue assistant look better than clerical, the lowest position available administratively in the courts.  i also like the revenue asst (middle one) because i deal quite a bit wtih money and numbers now at work....but i will be happy to get into the nys courts door doing any of the above 3 jobs - all of which include tests and a long process for entry open to the public....

I also have a resourse online right now to review the material that is to be tested for my dream jobs, advancing to Court Clerk / Senior Court Clerk. Those are only by advancement if you are already a court worker. I am saving the resources and will be studying the material on and off as it's a LOT of material but is also just basic memorization (the info includes all different laws and codes). I want this opportunity SO BADLY. and i'm ready. The Court Clerk/Senior Court Clerk salaries rise beyond 80k, especially the Senior Court Clerk. I am not sure if i'd ever reach that; but, i can say i will def try!

Honestly, I will be good even just when i start in the courts..... :)  More than money, i know i am CAPABLE of these positions which is why i am excited that the opportunities are approaching closer and closer as 2022 progresses.!!!!

DONKEY, got a good deal on Ebay - Sorel - name brand snow boots that look pretty new. paid $42 including shipping for boots that cost well over $100 for new. they'll last a long time, many years. So i'm going to get rid of mine, donate them.

I seem to be a day behind in commenting on your diary. I'll try to stay current, especially since it's less busy at work this month.

Glad to hear that you invested in a good pair of boots! You are worth it! And I think that the Sorels will serve you very well.

Otherwise, it looks like it was a very productive day for you, and nice to see that you got in a nap. So did I, around the same time, LOL!

Choc 100

wine 200 $15 ugh

1950-2000

  • Relaxing at home most of today until later.
  • Did a little cleaning up, organizing apt.
  • I'm briefly looking over more of the courts stuff above..

Leave apt at 5:25/5:30pm...; Walk to bus; will take bus/train and not use my car to get to city as it's easier to take the bus without needing to look for spots by the train (and same cost as the bus to train will count as a transfer!)

My left leg/ankle (the weaker one) is sore from wearing crappy snow boots with no support (and walking in them at least 3mi yesterday overall) was debating buying newer ones on ebay, but do not like the prices. i feel that i could have put insoles in mine and worn thicker socks, which is why i decided i do not need to spend money on the ebay ones (only $40 but money spent on unnecessary things starts to add up) right now because i could try the other options i just stated to make mine more comfortable without spending any $.

I'm trying to be much more conservative with clothing/shoes this year bc i have a ton of what i need; compared to when i was younger. Also, i do not want to spend money if it's completely not necessary. I will prob wear different shoes tonight; not the same snow boots.

7pm - Meeting friend Leslie in NYC at Tent in Lincoln Center to see the Big Apple Circus...we are going to meet inside, at our seats, as it's cold and we aren't going to be eating in restuarants, etc. we decided to keep it very simple.

On the commute, i can read the romance novel if i want to...

Horn_of_plenty on 01/08/2022:
thanks for the reminder to dress warm!! :-D

i am looking forward to it very much!

Donkey on 01/08/2022:
I hope you had a wonderful time!

I have trouble calculating the calories in popcorn too.

It's not frivolous to buy proper footwear if it saves your ankles. I say this as someone plagues with foot problems.

horn_of_plenty on 01/09/2022:
Yes I do have to think about the footwear - I think I can put insoles in my shoes and wear thick socks and it will be more comfortable so will try it before buying more

I ate A LOT of popcorn - not a small amount at all. The container was huge I was sharing with my friend but I made a huge dent before she started - after drinking a glass of wine I was hungrier with less eel control ! Another reason to not drink ! It was a fun time, coming home I smiled with no regrets ! I did have a dream towards waking up that was quite weird tho! Both about being fat and being annoyed I can’t poop ?!

horn_of_plenty on 01/09/2022:
Circus was great. The audience was very into it ans the show was highly interactive with the audience. A perfect 2 year pandemic show to get people going again and lighten our moods. Best - must fun - circus ever attended. There were also stories about the performers, their background and counties they are from. It was more encapsulating of the people behind the act - excellent

Donkey on 01/09/2022:
I'm SO glad to hear that you had a good time!!!! Yes, much needed!!!

Good steps (no pun intended) to take to get your boots to help. I am wondering, maybe an ankle sleeve or ankle compression stabilizer sock thing? More versatile in that you could wear it with other shoes/boots. Only for when your ankle is sore? Just brainstorming...

Horn_of_plenty on 01/09/2022:
omg yes, thank you for reminding me to wear one of my support sleeves with the boots. i guess i am set and do not need new ones.

you got me thinking just to buy them for the future, but i'll wait a little longer and use my sleeve, etc, with those boots. thank you.

and you have a point to wear the sleeve as a healing thing when i am sore.

but you do have me thinking to replace the shoes...so i may just buy better shoes today...that are used on ebay...they are a good deal compared to spending on new. only bad thing is i cannot try them on, but based on brand and looks of the shoe, you can also make a good guess of how they will fit. it's worth taking the chance. i think i'm going to buy another pair.

Wow, I was surprised to see how much snow you got! I was wondering if you had taken public transit, and I'm glad to hear that you did.

Very good to get weights in last night!

Now we just have to get through this last day before the weekend. And you have some excitement on Saturday to look forward to!

Horn_of_plenty on 01/07/2022:
It was a very fast and work-filled week. it flew and that is NICE. sometimes i like a little more time at work to get things done (many things are not completed and pushing everything behind), but the important things all got done which is awesome.

i hope your week was good too.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/07/2022:
i think it was only 4" but fell all at once from like 3am-7am.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/07/2022:

But it was canceled due to a member with covid and ended in nyc. i am going to wait to see broadway shows as this weather lately is cold and uncomfortable to go into the city during....but i am excited for the circus tomororw iwth my friend leslie. we are going to have shots during it !...with straws under our masks!

  • Last TOM - 12/14/21.

1/6 Thurs - drive in; do upper and lower if i have time tonight.

I've been working a little OT, tho not for additional pay at all, this week. i know where i stand at this company; and what to ask for as well as what to let slide. many people are out with covid and i have to do their additional work in addition to my work which is also requiring my own extra work just for my work. so i've worked a couple hours so far OT; but probably will NOT do OT tonight; as i want to get home and get my weights routine in tonight. I'd work OT tomorrow if need be; although a snow storm is projected. Might even take laptop home tomorrow to work on weekend for an hour or two; although the internet stinks when connecting to my work server from my home.

yesterday i got a nice hour walk in by work; before heading home, even after working an hour OT :).  got home around 7pm.

Got a nice 15 min walk in before work bc traffic lighter and left at a decent hour :) That will be my cardio for today :)

Breakfast coffee x2 50, banana 150, wrap with cc 200;

Snacks choc/candy 100

Noon Lunch leftovers of my cooked string beans 100, leftover trinidadian still good bc only chickpeas in a dough 400...will heat up the remaining half :)...500. and it was good, the leftovers. and a largish orange. 100

1100.....

Dinner - kinda craving takeout.

5:15 dinner thai takeout - 1.5 fried shrimp cakes good 300? lots of veggies in sauce 250?, cookies 100, oikos triple zero blueberry extra stevia and cooked cranberries 150...800.

1900.

..but best to go home and eat what's in the fridge and do my workout; tho may get thai food and give into the craving as i have no cooked veggies at home besides frozen options atm...

Jacky82020 on 01/06/2022:
Since we’ve discussed plays a little thought I’d mention my friend in Buffalo who can’t seem to get a date, as in guy, has joined MeetUp. They are going out to dinner & to see a play, not sure of group size & don’t know much about this organization. Think she said they’re seeing Waitress, one new to me. But sounds like fun for her. She doesn’t work & is home alone too much. she’s about 45, never married, but came close a few times.

Great workout last night! Now you can rest (sleep?) more tonight!

I had rice for dinner last night... coconut lime seasoned? I ate it too get rid of it. Rice seems to have a lot of carbs and calories for the portion size.

horn_of_plenty on 01/05/2022:
and rice is so sweet/tasty that i tend to want to eat more than is necesarry. i looked up a cup of sauteed rice and beans, almost 400 cal! bc sauteed, etc.

really want to walk a little tonight; and sleep :)

1/4 Tuesday -  i do believe it's too cold per my preference to commute - drove in. no cardio. cardio rest day; just the standing / walking while doing strength exercises tonight. fine :) temps around 20F this AM, a lot of wind.

Weights tonight; may do upper only; we'll see. been needing more sleep so will try to keep it concise.

7:30am Breakfast: very large banana 200, nut butter 50, coffee 50.

9:30am Snacks: whole wheat wrap and cream cheese 200

11:45 Snacking in afternoon bc wanting to work and eat light food for now....1 storck choc from what i bought to work lol to share 100ish

1pm 2 more storcks yum all different flavors 150, nut butter 1 tbsp 100

2:30pm Rice a Roni small meal 300 cheese flavor really tasty.

I Stopped at supermarket; the one with the really good deals on their cooked food. 5.99 for a massive portion of really seasoned rice and beans with pickled red onions (spanish thing) and roasted potatoes, some sauteed green peppers in a nice, very flavorful sauce; and a good piece of chicken all sauced up (tomato based but creamy but healthy at the same time!) this is 5.99 for a very heavy packed tin! i will have many servings; and may bring in some rice and beans for my boss. he is puerto rican and will like it, if i do.

6:15 dinner so i had over a cup of the rice and beans: 450-500     , small bites chicken 100?,  small bites potato 50?,  all the sauteed green pepper in sauce 100 bc it wasn't that much,  pickled onions negl,   dried jackfruit last bag of the 6. 100. 850. at least it's healthy, right!? kombucha 50.

2050

stayed 45 min late bc i have a TON of work especially bc one girl is out sick and not able to work just yet; so i was doing her work today all day instead of mine until the last 45min! so i decided bc traffic isn't too bad still this week, i decided to get a little start on my work, but then stopped after 45 min bc i saw how i would have to stay another 45 min to even finish what i was doing; and i wasn't going to stay that late with a workout tonight planned for home.

then, i decided to buy bananas as i'm out of them and while at the supermarket i walked around a little bit to get some deals. like chobani yogurt for $1 each as well as a couple veggies, a seltzer, loose carrots for both myself and pigs, the hot food, and that's about it. oh, big bottles of hand soap 1.25 each. and i hadn't walked all day, so going to supermarket was good.

a few doors down, i also did the supermarket bc i went to the pharmacy to pick up my monthly rx. so that's done too.

will start weights around 7pm....and plan to finish before 8pm...only upper. sill skip lower for tomorrow.

veggies (green beans) and tbd - prob remainder of the chicken sausage 100?

Tonight is leg day (leg night) for me, but like yourself, I also need rest, so now I'm not so sure...

I don't blame you for driving in. We're getting very cold temperatures this week. On the warmer days, like today, we're getting a lot of wind, so it doesn't actually feel warmer. Ahh, winter days...

horn_of_plenty on 01/04/2022:
yes, feels like winter and i'm in a more of a sleep craving type of week

horn_of_plenty on 01/04/2022:
but not as bad as it could be in terms of sleep craving, i may be good after a decent sleep last night!

horn_of_plenty on 01/04/2022:

Horn_of_plenty on 01/04/2022:
that's cold for you!!

Jacky82020 on 01/04/2022:
Yes! It’s very cold here too. Just saw the poops the dogs deposited on the back deck & they were frozen! OMG! Dumped today, but usually it’s dark when they first go out, & we don’t pluck them. Some residue was left behind. Ew!

legcramps on 01/04/2022:
You just reminded me that I have some uncooked chicken sausage in the fridge. I should maybe get that cooked up, I don't even know how long it's been there! Yikes.

horn_of_plenty on 01/05/2022:
some of these chicken sausages i buy are in the refrig section, fully cooked, but then i broil for the nice bbq effect / texture

Yeah, i was like, i need to do some outdoor exercise and the weather has been on the warmer side so far this winter!

Nobody is really getting together in my group of friends and i'm yearning to be outdoors after spending the entire 3-day weekend inside!!!!!!!!!!! haha, seriously, i didn't go out until this AM!

thank you so much, i hope the weather holds and i can go volunteering! :)

have a nice day, keep up updated on all the new the Bars!

Donkey on 01/03/2022:
I've been meaning to comment on your volunteering events coming up in January. What a lovely way to liven up a long winter month!

Thigh cramps from too much water? I've never heard of such a thing, so wow! I hope the banana helped. I read somewhere too that bananas help with sleep, so hopefully you were able to return to a sound sleep.

horn_of_plenty on 01/03/2022:
i mean i depleted myself of nutrients bc of all the water?? i think so?

i did return to sleep. but it's ok, this lack of sleep after a long weekend of getting tons of sleep - i'll be OK!

i guess i did something nice for January without thinking about it ;)...it wasn't a goal but it became one...when i took at look at the events coming up...i was reminded by email from the NYC parks.

bearcountrygg on 01/03/2022:
I know at our house muscle cramps mean dehydration........or if they are fingers, toes or jaw...it means we are cold. We start drinking for leg cramps and things like gatorade help. The banana was a good choice...potassium is important. One son played varsity football....and it seemed like almost every game he would get leg cramps.....( so much sweating plus the cold fall air)....and then I had him take some vitamin D........Maybe a muti vitamin a day would help you.

horn_of_plenty on 01/03/2022:

bearcountrygg on 01/02/2022:
What brand of oatmeal do you use?

Horn_of_plenty on 01/02/2022:
Lately, the oatmeal is a store brand of a European chain that popped up on Long Island / Queens called Lidl. When i go to visit my friends around 40-45min away, there's a Lidl grocery store by them with foods that are always priced extremely low so i like to fill up on some delights. the store has more treats and prepared foods than fresh. But even the fruit/veggies that they do have are impeccably cheap compared to any other place. So, like i was saying, i stocked up on their store brand oatmeals. They are def not healthier or better than other brands, but a change of pace.

Maria7 on 01/02/2022:
I don't eat oatmeal unless it is oatmeal cookies. I know oatmeal is good for you. Hope you are having a blessed day.

horn_of_plenty on 01/02/2022:
Lol, have a good day !

Jacky82020 on 01/02/2022:
I like dumbbells (& kettle balls). too. There’s a surgeon who lives across the road from us, up on the hill. I goggled all the neighbors when I moved in. There’s an informal agreement to share plowing fees etc as it’s a private road & the city won’t touch it. They gave me a spreadsheet with info on everyone, maybe 15 houses. Turns out this guy is heavily into kettleball competition. All kinds of pics of him online grunting & snorting & lifting huge ones over his head. Nice guy. We call him kettleball. LOL Sadly his 35 yr old nurse wife died of cancer a few years after we moved here.

horn_of_plenty on 01/02/2022:
Awwww sorry his wife passed away. Sounds like my kinda neighbor with his lifting

bearcountrygg on 01/02/2022:
HAHA Maria.....Maria does have her limits...I can get that!!!

horn_of_plenty on 01/02/2022:
Lol that was pretty funny ….now that I have been eating these sweetened varieties it’s going to be diff switching back to regular oats - maybe I’ll cook with them ! I have them already !!!!!

Maria7 on 01/02/2022:
Maybe some cinnamon and a little sprinkle of sugar in the oatmeal that is not already sweetened. My Grandma used to bake the BEST oatmeal and raisin cookies! I have her cookie jar that she kept them in. Have a blessed day!

horn_of_plenty on 01/02/2022:
You reminded me I can make the plain with my yellow raisins and other sweeteners …. It will be good when I switch back to it instead of this sweetened but not the best things I have been eating - But it’s all proportional so I know I have been still eating decently ;) but I do look forward to going back to the other oats - they are also the best prices (plain)

little_one on 01/02/2022:
Did you remember to buy butter?

Sunday is usually my shopping day but I have enough food to skip this week. That's a win for me.

horn_of_plenty on 01/02/2022:
I still have some of the old butter / haven’t gone to supermarket since a short trip on Thursday !

I may wait until next weekend :)

I also had enough food to skip - so happy - and truth is I may have enough food next weekend to skip most except for some fruit / veggies so I’ll get the butter then :)

Happy new year !!

Donkey on 01/02/2022:
Congratulations on your new dumbbell! I'm glad you made the investment in yourself, and when it arrives, I'm sure you'll be glad, too.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/02/2022:
:-) it's a little heavy for now; but once i get back into mostly 3x per week upper body, it will be in use :)

1/1/2022 Saturday - New Year's Day!!!

9am Breakfast: hot choc oats (packaged that way) 150, extra extra cocoa i added in 50, added in allulose sweetener, gummies/coffee 50, yellow raisins in the cereal 150. 400. good eats overall.

10:45am chocolates 100

12:30 more leftovers of mom's chicken soup including broth 50, chicken 100?, with some leftover sauteed supermarket veggies/olive oil 100 tops, some noodles 50...300...will add more carbs tbd....leftover piece of a large slice of pizza from work party on Thursday. oh, the dough was so nice heated up along with faint buffalo chicken topping/cheese. wow. hopefully not more than 300. (and still i have MORE leftovers at home to get thru...which is why i am NOT cooking a large soup this weekend - i dont want to be tempted to have some; when i have so many other things to eat thru...).

3pm dried jackfruit, kombucha 150

4:30 snacking on fruit before getting on stationary bike blueberries/strawberries 150; and a Dove chocolate caramel bc fruit alone, at home, never satisfies me.

5:45 light dinner / meal before exercising on the bike, I decided to cook / heat up the green beans finally with butter/garlic and a couple other spices. had a good sized bowl of it 150 (like an entire can of beens with butter) and a chicken sausage that i made yesterday on the side 150. 300. also two nori dried seaweed sheets, neglig.

8pm snacking gummies 100, 2 reeces pb cups 150.

eating more on the holiday weekend bc i am home and eating more frequently. can't say it's such a bad thing at the moment as my choices have been overall...decent...time to get on the bike which will be my cardio for New Year's day...my legs just want a break from walking.

2000.

 1. NYS courts website and organizing/saving any PDF's available of sample exams - IN PROGRESS...before doing homework for work..too much for me in one day. got thru a nice chunk regarding the test i want to take; but there's also some kind of self-directed powerpoint with 10 sections or so and i'm not willing to scroll thru them right now. DONE FOR NOW. There is a ton of helpful study/material on the NYC courts site., way more than i realized.

2. Clean GP cages/fleece laundry as i let them go two weeks instead of one. So it would be good to get this task done today rather than wait until tomorrow/last minute is never fun to wait to clean something!  The good thing about waiting - it saves quite a bit of money on washer/dryer and detergent. However, they get extra messy/matted with pee etc (things that cannot be scooped up daily) and it's sorta gross. ...took a break from courts website to clean cages also, so,  DONE!

3. Stationary bike - to get off couch and sit upright, move my body some...would be good before doing anymore laptop work.! - HALF HOUR COMPLETE, also did leg stengthening

4. Reading for even just 15 min - Love is Letting go of fear digital book - in progress....

Work homework  1-2 hours - TOMORROW

Happy New Year! Looks like you have an industrious day today! I hope you also find some time to relax :-)

Horn_of_plenty on 01/01/2022:
all work is being done on the couch...and not rushed.... :)

Happy New Year :)

Jacky82020 on 01/01/2022:
Renew passport? Are they required for all airport travel in the US or what these days? Kinda outta that loop. I do know my federal government BUI card (Native American) acts as a passport in some cases, don’t really follow it although I see articles in the 3 Native American newspapers I get. Never did like travel, especially now.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/01/2022:
In NYS there are driver's licenses that are still fine for domestic. I am possibly going abroad in early next year in 2023 and want my passport ready for that - as well as to use domestically if it's required...i do not think my license is good enough for air travel anymore as i didn't get the "federal" option when i renewed it a couple years ago.there were actually 3 choices (two being around the same cost and one much higher) in types of NYS licenses to get!

Donkey on 01/01/2022:
I'm so glad to hear that you are being pro-active and really looking into the court testing stuff NOW rather than putting it off. YES!!!

Horn_of_plenty on 01/01/2022:
I am not going to finish this weekend, but i'm making a dent and will continue to do so..... :)

Jacky82020 on 01/01/2022:
Yeah, I’ve heard about the Real ID or whatever they’re calling it. Seemed to affect domestic travel & entry into Federal Buildings. No idea if it’s also required for a passport. Not sure but may require a birth certificate etc to get the Real ID. I’ll figure it out if I ever need one.

Used to be I could get into Canada (if I wanted to) with my Native American ID when they began demanding passports. Again something I don’t really follow but see articles on.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/01/2022:
yes, many addtiional docs were required for the Real ID. i brought a copy of a tax return but it wasn't the W2, just a return from NYS and it wasn't good enough. so they told me to come back; but i didn't want to, so i settled for the lowest level license just to get it over with.

it is pretty clear on the webiste for DMV showing the docs you need. they pretty much want originals. which is why i got screwed up with the tax return and not the W2 form.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/01/2022:
i'm not going to update my license again unless i have to...as i think the next time it expires is around 2028 or similar to that...

Jacky82020 on 01/01/2022:
Yeah, I’m doing the bare minimum online too Will do what I have to when I have to

Think they will accept a legit BC from the county where the original was registered. Know someone from SF who had to get another. They certainly can’t expect everyone to have the original. Think he had to get papers notarized and sent to the SF City Hall or something like that.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/01/2022:
sounds legit enough...with the notarization and all!

Horn_of_plenty on 01/01/2022:
sounds legit enough...with the notarization and all!

Jacky82020 on 01/01/2022:
Yep & you have to be careful to get the paperwork yourself from the county because all these online places say they can assist & some look like official government sites, BUT they want to charge you a lot more than the county would have. Always someone looking to make a buck on someone
