4:30  cucumber with salt/pepper/olive oil 100, these strange coconut chips 100 while still working out 200...i was even going to debate going out for a walk but i hear a storm is coming although it still looks sunny outside!

5:30 sauteed eggplant 100, wrap 150

6pm small dinner: little bit of salami on a small pita 250

7:30 snacking / reading chocolate 100

9pm hungry while studying Greek yogurt 150 with stevia

i actually have a TON of veggies that need to be eaten (by both me and the guineas), def not running out of veggies this week, even though i haven't bought any from the supermarket for over a week! in general, i have a lot of food and do not need to go to the supermarket at all & for at least another week or more (if i'm smart, i will NOT go to supermarket much right now and concentrate on using up some frozen food and other things in my apt - save $ the next couple weeks).

i have had extra veggies due to free food from the farm! and it's helped especially with not having to buy ANY food for the pigs...and therefore i have extra of what i had already bought!

today i have not too much going on - i'm trying to do some of the paralegal work, finishing reading assignments for sure as well and starting and finishing at least the BB1 assignment..before i have to start two other assignments due for the 1st week...

lift upper body weights - DONE - thank gosh.

(was so sleepy, i knew i would be better after lifting)...need to do this or i'll start losing strength again..


i am sort of scheduled to meet with an ex-coworker who is serving as one of my references. but i'm not reminding him this morning that he's supposed to text me when we are meeting up because i'd rather just stay home and do work tonight and not go out tonight.

indoor stepper ? or indoor bike ??

laundry tonight if home...yes home, laundry DONE!



1- after breakfast, do a quick morning leg strengthening routine at home

2- bike ride for cardio friday morning early, around 10am, local roads...

3- only other order of business on Friday is to do most of the Week 1 assignments (and maybe all 3 of them, we'll see what i have time for)



have a review course for project management from 9-2:30. then probably trying to get outside and do some cardio?

Go out for a walk or bike ride after class...

possibly weights in evening (doubt it though)

I would, but I am working full time and am either at the office or at home, and I am both physically and mentally exhausted by the end of the day with trying to maneuver around with a broken ankle! It's not worth it for me right now to try and add more to my days ;)

having a sleepy day...may take it easy tonight, just finish reading and go to bed early. it's helping me get up early too by hitting the pillow early.


Cooked / pan fried with oil and water mix -  lots of eggplant before it is not good anymore...now no reason not to have veggies - can even eat it over salad, we'll see.  

Will try to lift weights tonight but I have to finish the reading first - I want it done so I can work on the paralegal assignment tomorrow and not be stuck reading again!   I may wait to do weights  tomorrow morning possibly - no worries - I am kinda off the priority of upper body weights today....


dropped off the unused old hamster cage to someone around 15min away - I sold it on Facebook

I then drove a little far (25 min) to go to a Victoria's Secret to use my bday coupon - free $10 off a product of $10 or more - got a pair of cotton underwear for 52 cents :) 

now it's 3pm and I'm home back to studying...reading paralegal, second session week 1...there's 7 weeks to do again!

will contact the job that I interviewed for tonight as they said I'd hear from them this week and now it's midweek..

The paralegal course was something I decided to do on the side and to give me more options in future (work for the NYS courts if I get that opportunity as the tests are not offered frequently). I wanted the paralegal background to help me get introduced to the field and provide future options as I am not looking to leave my current field (project management) yet....

The course is 14 weeks in two halves with a week break between the halves. Like 15 weeks.

It was $2,000. A lot cheaper than the other programs I looked into. Lot cheaper than college programs and intern programs. I do get a college certificate from this one though, which is what I love about it. The course is online but many colleges around the entire 50 states have agreed to give a certificate from their college if we choose it when we sign up. It’s a good deal.

The most miserable semester of my long academic career was spent in law school. Hated it! Worked my ass off to get B’s. Expect A’s when I work that hard, but it was not to be. They charged 1K for a class. I took 3, nights.

Yes. With this online course, I have worked hard but got an 84. I expected better too! They grade pretty strictly!

There’s another course I might take and it’s also associated to paralegal - different types of out of court types of resolution conflict. If I take it, it’s 1,000. I may though save that opportunity for later when I am used to working again and just look keep my priority in getting a job in the near future :)

You mention Victoria's Secret and it reminded me of a FB video I watched this morning that showed how VC had actual trackers attached to their clothing ( Pink also)....they were attached to the tags...there were 3 tags on this item...one said Victorias Secret...I think one was washing instructions and the third...and when cut off..and opened up......was an obvious antenna sort of thing...and the BIG QUESTION is WHY? She said she wondered if it had anything to do with human trafficking.

it's common for me to go to beach (i try not to burn but sometimes forget sunblock on a particular body part bc i don't always rub in well but i try!)...because i live by the beaches, all under an hour away.

1. I have a guy coming (only from 10am-noon 8am-10am) to install Verizon service in my apt since i'm switching internet services...it went well as some was already done...lasted from around 9am-11am. successful. better than usual bc the bldg was fit out for it earlier in the Spring.  he even unhooked all my devices from the old service and he used some wire tires to get all my wires neat and organized for this service (i asked him to do this and he helped me out and made it look far better than it would if i didn't ask!). tipped him $10, gave him a water and clementine :)  DONE!

1a. Doing a weights workout between 11am-12:30pm, may have to skip phone call with French friend, which isn't so nice to cancel last minute but things are in slight disarray here...DOING NOW - to be DONE!

2: leave around 12:30 to meet guy at 1pm to pick up shelving unit for bedroom $15. brand new, but not the most "decorative." it's more basic - will show photos of all shelves later...close by in Queens maybe a 15min ride.DONE!

3.....RETURN THE OLD SERVICE APPLIANCES TO SPECTRUM which will be my old internet / TV service provider. Trying to do this in the Afternoon..DONE!

4. Need to pick up a shirt at the cleaners (try to quickly fit it in sometime on the way home from spectrum) DONE!

5. Psych call at 6:30 tonight (should be short like 20 min or less)

6. 7:30-8:30 pick up kitchen shelf $10 stand in Astoria, Queens - maybe a 20-25 min ride.

i'm good on shelves now, no more purchases.  i will have now purchased four different shelving units for a total price of $55. decent i guess.  i'd say overall a good bang for my buck :) One was $10, another $20 and the two today are $15 and $10 each.

no cardio today. took a break, maybe a short stationary bike ride later.?



All day type of plan - beach with mom/sister/baby. Family likes when i join them so before I potentially have a job (which would be a great thing), I am trying to be agreeable and join them there. (They also pay a $25 fee for me to come).

Tuesday beach may be moved to Wednesday again if weather changes things - i won't mind at all..i might be able to volunteer at farm tomorrow if things change, lol.

i haven't delved into the paralegal unit very much so i cannot say. i've been doing the reading of a chapter in the bigger textbook...it's a chapter about how to Cite. seems a bit confusing so far!!! :)

4:30-6:30pm snacks after volunteering and sweating for 3 hours, delved into some carbs, because that's what a person wants after a workout in the heat, but juice ones: 2 nice plums 100, blueberries 120, coffee 30, and granola bar 100: 350

7pm greek yogurt 150 with added stevia and some cocoa powder, big cookie 150...300. pretty full now.





AM - bit of driving to pick up bookshelves i found on facebook marketplace - one shelf is $10, the other is $20. 2 totally diff sellers / locations...

Just a gentle suggestion, you may be overly optimistic about having the cable guy done in 2 hours. Oh I'm sure that's what you've been told by customer service, but I've seen service calls like this consume time like I consume potato chips. 6 hours later....

I guess I didn't realize that the project management class would be leading up to a national exam. I hear your concern about time management with the paralegal class starting up again. Plus, the possibility of working again... can you clone yourself? (Lol)

Actually, I didn't think i'd be taking the exam either (national one) for the PM course. i was really not interested in it - at first. but now that she offered these 3 review sessions (didn't know about the review sessions till when the class was ending)..so now i realize it could be good if i pass the test lol...bc it's directly related to the type of work i do now and it's very VALUABLE to have "PMP" project management professional initials after your name. it's something that's known well to project managers.

lately, i've been enjoying my free time a bit much...so now i guess i will settle down to get some more work done (haven't had to do much work lately).

yeah, it's a lot of uncertainty right now. we'll see what happens Monday / Tuesday and if i hear from the job i went to interview for.

I'm very happy to browse the facebook marketplace for some extra storage pieces.

i plan to possibly live in this apt forever, so i find it's nice to buy things that help the place stay organized.

lol, even if i met someone, i would consider us living here LOL bc it's a nice priced apt... who knows. it's a nice size for one person, that's for sure. and if the other person used some extra furniture storage as well, it would be OK.

i am still looking for some other pieces for the kitchen and bedroom.

I haven't been looking much at garage or marketplace listings lately, just because of covid-19, but there are usually some pretty decent finds on there if you look long enough! Nice to see that you are taking some time making the apartment more cozy for yourself! How is the futon working out?

yes, i was thinking how i love this apt and there's a HUGE chance in me living here for life (especially if i do not marry anyone). so i'm wanting to declutter by gaining more vertical organized space. it seems to be working out!

the futon has been good and is comfortable. the mattress does move when i sit on it and sinks down so i have to raise it up frequently - but, it was free so there's that benefit of no wasted cash on it. and i will not be replacing it as it's better than what i had before the futon.

so, futon does the job but a couch that didn't have a movable mattress would have been better. i will not be replacing it as it works decently and much better than previous Bob's couch.

I hate Spectrum! Cancelled cable when they insisted I rent their DVRs. Have my own DVRs. Forced to use them for high speed internet now, $69.00 a month. Use Sling and Hulu. Purchased a shared Hulu account for $5 on eBay, good for several months. Works like a charm, Bingeing on ER now.

Now i pay more than i paid for spectrum, but they were bad for the business i am in (competitor) so i'm glad not to be paying the competitor any more of my money. now have verizon - expensive but good service.

in the future, i may try to just pay for internet and not tv...and do what you do...near future like a year or so from now.

You could get a $5 Hutu from eBay like me & see all 15 seasons of ER. Requires a Roku or Amazon Firestick. For some reason the Roku works better for me, have them all over the house. Use Amazon Prime too, Also have antennas hooked up for local channels. Tiny flat indoor things,

Hi All!

Happy Saturday!

I seriously almost slept thru my review course today. It started at 9, I logged in at 9:10!...seriously. I set my clock but kept staying in bed - luckily i didn't miss anything.  Review course was good so far, i have two more saturdays to go!  Teacher is excellent. It's GREAT having this course taken in my own home because i can get up for food, i even did my leg strengthening exercises during part of it and there was a short 20 min break during most of the time i did my leg exercises. It's a long course, 9-2:30 and during most of it, i was attending on the couch.  GREAT course because the teacher is VERY THOROUGH and patient. she even shows you how to sign up to take the Project Management national test...many teachers would leave it up to the students, but, it's even a pretty intense sign-up with extra educational requirements...It's good to have a teacher like her that assists you ever step of the way. It's the same instructor i had for my project management class that just ended  (woohoo!).

breakfast / snacks oats 150, raisins 150, almond milk 50, ice coffee 50, kombucha 100. 500...

12:30 popcorn, bite of leftover salmon 250. 

3:45pm early dinner - rest of the salmon 250?, naan 150...400...

Planning seems to be necessary right now as I do feel like I am pretty busy even though i'm not working. The benefit right now is I am still able to sleep a lot, which has been nice but developed into a long sleep habit.


Today was just my course.

i was supposed to do weights today of which i don't see myself doing now after my course ended for today, but, maybe tonight or otherwise Sunday Morning.

I may go out for a bike ride or short walk / bike ride followed by some paralegal reading this afternoon. 

In my project management review course, we are being told to try to study daily for the test and come up with a plan...grrr....i wish i could throw out the rest of the paralegal (haha, i'm not!) so i didn't have this conflict. but then again, I am not working, yet, so i can have a plan to start with and probably to change later...

I can take the test i'm reviewing for ANYTIME...so perhaps i will NOT start studying until after the paralegal ends in Sept/October ...that can be my semi plan..I do not like doing the two different studies at once.

I kind of commented on THIS entry on today's (Sunday's) entry, especially with respect to the project management class.

This weekend, I've been sleeping in both days. This is quite unusual for me, so all I can think is that I must have needed the extra rest. Nothing wrong with that as long as you're not hiding from the day.

my ankle has been getting far better during my time off, overall.

my friend was NOT pleased with all the walking we did...i feel she has changed a lot ! but that is not for me to judge.

but for me, i will try to continue to push myself to do more active things outdoors and be creative like by volunteering.

i want to make my life more giving...i want to take part in more things....maybe one day the job situation will just work out - though usually that is by PLANNING for it to...

I’m still trying. Says uploaded to server, but nothing. Actually have 3 dogs. An old boy reaching the end of his lifespan and Frankie, the pug/Frenchie mix and a Purebred French Bulldog. Got the two boys, in March, not long after my best girl passed. Frankie is one and the Frenchie is 2. Cutest boys ever!

Well, it's a Happy Thursday here in Queens, NY~

10am late Breakfast, slept in as usual lately:  oats 150, almond milk 50, bigger banana 150, dried pineapple 50, blueberries 120 (huge breakfast i guess!) it's almost TOM and anything goes right now...and coffee 30. 550..

11am snack, trying to motivate myself to do some weights early, gummies 100, kombcuha 100

2pm late healthy lunch: leftover really tasty salmon from parents smaller piece..300, with chips. 300. during workout before i shower and start my review of this project, yup, waited till last minute. should be OK.

3pm-5pm - planned my presentation to take place during class !

5pm chocolate 100

7:45pm dinner when class ended: leftover tofu 150, leftover veggies, pickled tomatoes not great turning bad 100 too much vinegar, pretzels 2 servings 250. 500.

1950...may have a piece of fruit as well.

I slept in. Didn't set an alarm for this morning.  I have one activity of Major importance today - plan and practice by 5-10minute project presentation to be delivered tonight around 5pm during my LAST project management class. I am SO HAPPY i'm at the end...just have to plan & practice this presentation today. I chose to wiait until today to do it because i knew i'd be home today with enough time to do it (rather than planning a few days ago to start doing the work, i waited until last minute, my choice).


I want to get my weights done before i start doing the work for my last class of project management...those are semi-important too. It's also healthier than just sitting around the whole day...

After class today, I may do some light cardio - either walking outside or just the indoor stationary bike, actually, sounds good enough.

AND I CLEANED THE SHOWER TODAY :) THANK GOSH. i think i'm procrastinating my assignment due today...didn't start yet - chose to exercise and clean up first...i'll start the work around 3pm...be done for 5pm class, no biggie.


tomorrow, FRIDAY, i wake up earlier - beach again with my friend Christine (a much more relaxing type of beach visit than with family...LOL). EASY DAY once at beach. we'll prob do some takeout (she loves the takeout thai place by me...otherwise, i really don't need takeout...so maybe i'll just get soup...iDK...i have a lot of salmon still...maybe i can freeze it tonight.


Saturday i'm planning to stick around here...i have an online (free) test review course 9-2:30pm! then i plan to do weights again, take a light walk?



Monday I have a guy coming (only from 10am-noon) to install Verizon service in my apt since i'm switching internet services...then not sure (but another day that's not totally busy) ...def some reading and doing HW for paralegal which i'll know the work since it will be online Monday. Need to pick up a shirt at the cleaners...I might take another interview also for Monday, but may cancel if I hear anything from the interview i went on this past Monday.....RETURN THE OLD SERVICE APPLIANCES TO SPECTRUM...


Tuesday I'm at beach, all day, with mom and sister and baby (dad back to work for a few weeks before he retires)...DON'T REALLY WANT TO GO ALL DAY, BUT, SOMETIMES CANNOT REFUSE FAMILY.


Wednesday - OPEN...- i def am looking forward to a very open day, as i think time is ticking till i may start working :)


I have 6 more weeks of Paralegal course, starting next Monday coming up....if i have to do it and i am working, so be it....

Your days are paked full...what a great time to take the classes.....even if you end up overlapping that and work a little....good use of your time accomplishing that!!!

i admit there's a lot of time on the couch when i'm not doing things. i think i make it seem busier than i really am!?

yes, if i overlap the rest of paralegal it's not a big whoop. i'm glad that there's no presentation for that. it's just an online instruction pass/fail. ..it's more important i get a job in the next couple months prob than to "do my absolute best" on a web course....if you get me.

it's important now that i adjust my priorities to trying to get a job..i hope that earlier interview works out, but will prob not know till next week..

otherwise, i do have a couple other options that have popped up for potential jobs. i will have to try harder, but hopefully i get the one that sounds so good that i interviewed for...

def a need to change priorities now to job hunting starting middle of next week (after this busy weekend / starting second half paralegal / after visiting parents on Tuesday and also a few other important things that have to get done....) after that, i cannot further wait for the job. we'll see what happens!

was supposed to go to beach but weather is rainy :-) so went to visit parents at their home instead and they keep expecting me to go to beach with them each week but I really don't want to next week lol but I'll try to get it out of the way for next week ...plan is now to go with them Tuesday next week - had to cancel farm volunteering..:)

did a small load of laundry, now just hanging on the couch reading for the rest of the night.

things I must do soon: clean bathroom - really soon...the shower in particular...prb on weekend - Saturday?

yup, i would have preferred the farm i think!!! and i was supposed to bring my friend JEN that day :( so i also had to cancel plans with her....to make my family happy. she understands. she may even still go volunteer on her own!

sometimes going to see parents, for a large portion of the day, makes it so i don't feel i did anything productive the whole day...it would be better if it was shorter visits...like i did yesterday which went well!

Do your parents swim or just relax on the shore at the beach. I'm sure they like to visit with you since you have time off right now. It's great though that you do have so many things to do right now. You are being really productive!!!

My parents like to walk on the shore of the beach. My dad will go into the ocean when it's hot. My mom cannot swim and will not join him. There's a pool and kiddie pool, so my sister is also there and brings her baby in both pools (he's almost 2). They walk a lot, like i was saying, on either the short boardwalk or the beach shore along the ocean.

They do love when i visit. I like to visit but sometimes the length of the visit really becomes excessive and I am glad i went home early yesterday, before dinner, so i didn't have to come home later in the evening. I was able to do a few more things at home myself which is nice - when i got home...

9am Got up after laying in bed to have a fast breakfast before getting out the door in time to make it to volunteering at the Queens Farm again today (and I will go again on Sunday, too!) oats 150, mulberries 100, macadamia milk 50, little kombucha 50. 350

Noon snack after volunteering (which was great as always!) granola bar 100

2pm meal back at home: plums (2) 100, chips 3 servings it was a new one that was really, really good a guacamole flavored tortilla 450, iced coffee, spiked drink 100..

I did get tired as usual after volunteering and fell asleep, set my clock for 20 min...got up but wasn't productive before my class that started at 5pm... :( the coffee i drank before i fell asleep helped for me to stay awake after the nap..!

snack at 6pm: pretzels 150

7:30 during class: big cookie, lots of crumbs from the other cookies too LOL 200...will try to walk outside after this class since i didn't do much walking today.

10pm 2 wraps 250, pb 100




I went to the supermarket to stock up since i had a good coupon for it; right after volunteering. got home and had a quick shower, now relaxing on couch a bit...but will do some reading and then take the online PM class again...the last class will be Thursday, when we present - so thursday during the early hours of the day is the day i'm going to be prepping for the class presentation, only.  right now, i'd rather just do reading for the paralegal which will start Monday for the second half...

the interview was very good...so i have my fingers crossed. they asked for references, so I emailed them last night with 4 references, all from my former employment that I am on layoff from.

tomorrow, i have plans for the beach with my family, all day.

At the interview, did they give you an idea of when they would have their decision by? Are you able to contact any of your references to see if they've been contacted yet?

Moving on... the farm experience sounds amazing! Glad you got in a nap afterwards. I bet that felt good!

They said sometime next week would be prob when they make their decision and yes my references at least 1 will tell me if they are contacted :) I was able to call the references to let them know about this job possibility !!!!

Farming is great !
