the interview was decent but a lot of drama occurred afterwards.

I was not though a best fit for the job and could tell so after drama that I'm too tired to talk about.

Thanks donkey. I’m getting nervous that with my lesser than complete skills nobody will want me.

I really never was interested in sharpening those particular skills for estimating. Will continue to see about options.

yeah, also job location not good for the other person i had involved...my "current" project manager i had brought up..saying she might be looking too as an estimator and we could be a great team for them. they were interested but accidentally i had told them a no before another yes. so it got complicated. but it's over. as their location was not good for her, a single mom, who may not be able to do that sort of commute with a young daughter still.

the day started out crazy where I was awoken to my phone beeping like I just got a message or two. Yup. The owner of this new company was calling saying he got my resume for a potential assistant  estimating (what I've done but not good at - just assistant) position..... 

he tells me they have this software (not familiar myself with it) 

the conversation went well though.

i also had to contact his VP.

i will meet them both Monday morning at 7:30am on the job site of a housing project located in Harlem. Currently deciding if I will drive myself, coerce ricky to come or take a ride from my dad (least interested to go with dad). 
it's a low income poor area I'm going to, to meet them at a project they have and will both be there. I really have no cares about myself - just my car. Ricky said my car should be fine and he thinks it's ok for me to go alone - usually he's not very supportive about going out of my safety zone so I think it's good to just go alone if ricky says it.

I sold another item on Facebook marketplace. To someone I know from religious orientation in my childhood services and some after school stuff. I really think she's nice and wonderful. 
but it didn't go well when she came to pick up the exercise mat....

she accidentally ( I wasn't there but seems this is the case) had her dad back his nice SUV into a fire hydrant. 
 

they are not familiar much with my neighborhood or Queens.

his car got damaged (I didn't go close enough to walk around to the back to see the damage)

he was literally continuously cursing and screaming at his daughter at noon on a sunny Saturday for everyone to see.

the commotion is what I literally walked out to see when I went to see her and I was already having a tough emotional week.

the whole thing was hard to watch bc she knew she was in the wrong I guess her dad backed into it but he must have been trusting her to help him ..... it was just too much emotion of his screaming and cursing and everything at her and she actually took it way better than me. My neighbor had been coming down the elevator with me and saw I was shocked and neighbor too was shocked. She asked me what was happening and I Nair starting crying and went to hug neighbor and walked back to apt and went back upstairs. I didn't want her to even pay me after I saw what happened but she Venmo me the money just a moment ago. 
 

too much craziness for a week, you know ?

i just don't like seeing so much frustration and commotion. And i think the pandemic is really hurting everyone now emotionally.

I miss McDonalds...we have one here but haven't been there in years....I guess when i started getting serious about losing weight...I stopped going...but I have been craving it lately...( a lot of hamburgers and sloppy joes going on around here )...but they are not hitting the spot. LOL

So yeah ! McDonald’s can be a baaaaad habit to get into...

But when I have like a really low calorie count and / or very hungry it kinda works out when I order something heavy but a small serving - similar to how candy usually works with me - Keep the serving small and it works out good enough ;) of course little nutrition but at least it was chicken on a biscuit which is good in a balanced sorta carb fat protein ratio ;)

And, it hit the spot !

But you are very right and fast food can certainly get out of hand.

did some yoga an hour class from 12-1pm. is was mostly very gentle.

more yoga in chair from 4:30-5:30 later this afternoon. Got blocked out bc I had to make a phone call and then so didn't do it bc I was blocked out 

maybe I'll do some stepper later at home. - nope - Walked a little with Ricky instead 

been doing some reading of the stock book too.

staying home - not rushing anything.

i may be going back to work - but a totally different company it seems- it seems I may not be needed anymore at my last job and that I may go back soon to start working in a total different company - a minority owned company - not even sure which minority type yet ? Possibly Hispanic owned? I need to google the company once I ask my father the name again. So it would be another start and I'd be leaving the company I was at for 8 years. Good and bad. Sad that I cannot go back to work with Maria my boss as of before pandemic and the one who's kid I am watching. But things change a lot in this industry - another reason why I am in the back of my head hoping to work with the courts and to apply when the time comes - prob still years away like 2 years which is still not that long so back to the present now - I will need to start fresh here in this industry with all new people and company most probably when I go back to work soon but no date or week is set yet. And there's also a possible interview of when I do not know anything yet.

No, the new company may be in Brooklyn and possibly take longer to get to is my guess than Manhattan but not totally sure.

Ricky did something that upset me yesterday and he made up for it today :)

I was wondering what your timeline was for going back to work, after listening to Gov. Cuomo this week. Well, I suppose each opportunity is an adventure, and who knows, this next assignment may be wonderful.

I see why you want the relative stability of the court job.

prob cook later some food too.

Yeah as long as the weather is not too windy and around 75f or higher, it’s nice to be out there on the terrace ! It’s great in the summer !

Nice to see you are doing the chair yoga again - must have been successful! I have yet to try a chair yoga class, but I did save a video of my yoga friend leading a chair yoga class, so at some point I can set aside some time to try it out!

Sunning on the balcony sounds lovely!

WE LOVE YOU HERE HOP!!!! Lots going on in the world and particularly this country. I guess our life experiences tend to make us feel different in ways that come out at times like this. BUT......We will get through this and hopefully we will all learn something from these times. Some days are just tougher than others....but the do move along to better days.

i am watching 1x per week a 10 yr old who says NO to EVERYTHING. It's frustrating and tiring and not easy. Lol. I am grateful to sleep in and RELAX most of tomorrow FOR SURE! I will study my stock book and lift weights tomorrow and most importantly not have to nag a 10 yr old. If i watch her next week, I certainly will NOT ask her to do her hw ! That's over - since it hasn't worked for two weeks, I'm not going to struggle this coming week again !

Watching my friend's daughter today ....

then dropping off the trash can that I sold someone yesterday but If it pours I may just go straight home and drop off trash can tomorrow when weather clears. Then I hope to exercise at home tonight on my bike - will be an easy night :) May call friend to catch up as she has a job interview Thursday morning - via online platform - for a new teaching position better neighborhood than her current job.

Yeah :) that’s right I was giving a couple trumpet lessons to her in the fall I think ?

Same girl. The lessons I did give we’re just two total I think ? She has since quit the trumpet (not bc of me thank gosh!)

She’s going Thru somethings and it’s not going well. She’s 10 and says NO to literally everything. Next week I will certainly not even try to ask her to do hw (I only come once a week anyways so it’s not the end all be all)...and I plan to let her do what she wants and suggest to her to bake cookies - she has said she would want to - and maybe see if she has board games and/or wants to do art.

She doesn’t know how to ride a bike and I think her mom wants to help her with it first and she doesn’t even want to go outside for walks ! Nothing ! Oh well. I’ll try a slightly different approach next week and no hw ! No hw bc she said no all day long and it’s draining to even ask anymore ! It’s not worth it for me to drain myself or ask her if she says no - I’m not her parent :)

Do you have the traditional Fiber One or the flakes? A few years ago, I determined that the traditional kind didn't taste the same, so I stopped eating it. I think that's more to me changing, but maybe it was the cereal formula.

It's definitely a cure for any bathroom issues. It's very good in yogurt too.

Did you do weights? I hope to do a little tonight.

I have skipped 1 or two days during this pandemic but usually I get my 3 weights sessions in a week - it’s bc I have mostly been doing the weights for years and years - almost 10 years mostly without missing it except during a couple times I injured myself on legs and needed total rest - it’s hard for me to give up on my upper body when I have come so far :)

I'm surprised you went into the city, with all the aftermath and current protesting. I hope it was a pleasant trip. Sounds like a nice diversion from everything, actually.

On the way home we were held at a light for around 10 minutes while a protest parade went by, but then It was light traffic as usual.

Ricky wanted to go to his work office which we did bc he wanted to go in when it was very quiet and not busy with a lot of people.
