  • NYS COURTS -  checking site several times DAILY  - cusp of 6 year mark between "open to public"  tests - i'm predicting an August update.

  • AA Advantage (Citibank) Card I plan to only use for end of July maintenance $1000; car mechanic $290,  hotel next month $270 ; and hair groupon $330...Theshold to get bonus points is $2k/2 months....$1890/2000...just $110 to go - will use my card at the supermarket to finish up.
  • Last Verizon bill is high, approx 7.16.22 - may look into this...on a different day off in August bc it will require phone calls and patience.

9:15a Quick breakfast: spoon of tahini 100, graham cracker/pb packaged snack 220, coffee 30. 350...

12:15p Snacks/Lunch: leftover 1/4 block of tofu, with garlic powder 100, popcorn butter microwavable 350...450; 1/2 starbucks pumpkin loaf individually packaged, one of the higher ups brought in yesterday which i brought home to enjoy without rushing. 200

3:45p Snacks gummies, some i saved for later 150

5:30p 2 of those baby bananas 100; and a small mounds 100.

Dinner: strawberries 50, leftover salmon so good small amount 200, bok choy 50, rice 100, carrots with a little dressing 50. 450.

I decided at 4am, after being up since 3am, to sleep in and take today off. But that's not the reason why i took the day off - car engine has been louder than normal for around 1.5 weeks and also car is leaking.

i didn't even want to chance driving into the city or back from city and getting stuck on the road...

so i'm off to the mechanic around 10a. that's the earliest i could get myself out of the apt, after a quick shower and small breakfast, go to the bathroom...didn't want to rush out to go to mechanic.

10a Car Mechanic to fix what's wrong and also also oil change - pay on new AA card...I googled it could be needing an oil change (it is just up for one, only 3 months), and/or other issues too causing the noisier engine..i will have to fix it and praying it's an easy fix. going to my regular place which is generally honest...

Mechanic results: needed oil change; leaking valve gasket cap of some sort - $225 for parts and labor - i said yes, fix it. oil change $55. total was $290. DONE!

Clean the bathroom tub/shower area well..not sure i will do this TODAY.

Cardio - so far 25 min walk back from Car Mechanic; will walk back(shorter bc i didn't stop at supermarket again) 15 min tops to mechanic later - glad it'll be done by end of today and i can drive to work tomorrow :) 40 min cardio. DONE.

Reading a new book - in progress, enjoying it a lot!!!!

Weights - mostly before i pick up my car, two exercises had to be done after i got my car - DONE!

I went on groupon to find best deal for the hair PRP (plasma rich protein) injections as i read a lot of positive things. got a very good deal; practically two appts for the price of 1 as well as an additional $50 off special; sorta close in queens, would prob make exercise out of it by going by bus/train on a weekend from my apt. Price was approx $160 each for two. DONE.

after work may go out on exec. that left - his boat (sorta by work so it's more convenient than a weekend actually) - invited some of our team that he previously worked with...putting this in my schedule for planning purposes.......

if going on boat, no weights, will skip a strength day for this week..

& Drive to Nautical Mile(seaport) (prob 20-30 min from kayaking) (you can look it up - in Freeport, NY) Nautical Mile is a long strip on the water, lots of restuarants, bars, and a fresh seafood store. 

Both activities today are on Long Island not too far from each other.

8/6/22- Saturday - New Hope, PA  Peach Festival !!!!!-  Basically first "trip" since covid & since my last trips in 2019!!  Pick up Christine & Drive down early morning Saturday; stay Saturday Night overnight hotel; Spend the day Sunday; drive back Sunday after Dinner.  It's an artsy town on the water - walking around Peddler's Village which is all artsy and shopping. I plan to ride the carousel! Staying at the hotel on the grounds - Golden Inn. 

8/7/22 - Sunday - New Hope, PA Peach Festival!!!! - 

8/8/22 Monday - Vaca Day #3/15 - Day off after trip, most probably. - Weights today?

It's 2hrs away.  I will try to go with her and her BF in same car. I can pay half the gas...Either drive this evening or early tomorrow morning. I'm leaning towards early Saturday morning drive....leslie not working for union, need to contact her, i may be going alone...or parents to drive me and go out with me (which i'd appreciate - it's a two hour drive each way, minimum).

10.1.22 Saturday Critical Thinking (stay overnight, paid for by union, nice perk of being a member and nice experience and knowledge - i support learning and education..)

Had a similar issue here this week...dash light on......got that fixed and an oil change......glad it was a simple fix for both of us. Pumpkin loaf sound good!

Dinner: Decided on a healthy, balanced dinner:

frozen food from coworker that i left in freezer at work and brought home today, restaurant food (MORE!) from his sister (don't worry, this guy is married just very, very nice to many at work) - spicy cajun seasoning light spread on it very spicy and nice with the salmon inside that isn't spicy smallish piece (saved some for work 2 more days huge piece) 250?, rice serving size 200, veggies from him 100, my veggies 100 i added. seltzer as usual with stevia. very filling, large meal. oh, piece of corn on cob small 50. 700 tops. some kombucha 50

there was a TON of traffic going home, flooding, have to remember not to take that way when it rains again. was very bad, driving thru a few very very large puddles (like mini lakes). so next time, will not drive the same way if there's a downpour. it did rain several times during the day; and it had just rained hard, for 40 min, prior to my driving home...should have realized. wasn't as bad as last year, but bad enough.

yes, that is why workout may be skipped, indeed. it's not that hard to clean the cages, but it is TIME. so that may be enough and/or not much else. ...especially if i also bake a pumpkin pie! :)

i'm trying to be reasonable with myself and with what i feel i can handle tonight.

boat could be nice, indeed, even if a large commitment for after work...so i may lay low this weekend too if the boat thing happens!

Bok choy in my fridge which does need to be cooked as i've had it in the fridge two weeks already. sautee/stir fry it with garlic/oil/soy sauce (for sweetening).

Prepare tortellini or ravioli from freezer for change of pace during week??

Mostly choose frozen food along with fresh veggies to eat this week.

8/6/22- Saturday - New Hope, PA  Peach Festival !!!!!-  Basically first "trip" since covid & since my last trips in 2019!!  Pick up Christine & Drive down early morning Saturday; stay Saturday Night overnight hotel; Spend the day Sunday; drive back Sunday after Dinner.  It's an artsy town on the water - walking around Peddler's Village which is all artsy and shopping. I plan to ride the carousel! Staying at the hotel on the grounds - Golden Inn. 

 8/7/22 - Sunday - New Hope, PA Peach Festival!!!! - 

 8/8/22 Monday - Vaca Day #3/15 - Day off after trip, most probably. - Weights today?

Evening (or tomorrow AM drive) to Critical Thinking Course (i did this course once around 5 years ago - different topics each time - I believe this will be about union / Local 3 history). overnight at union grounds out east- fri night/sat night- out east at the Long Island Educational Center thru union. Going with Leslie, thankfully. It's 2hrs away.  I will try to go with her and her BF in same car. I can pay half the gas...Either drive this evening or early tomorrow morning. I'm leaning towards early Saturday morning drive....leslie not working for union, need to contact her, i may be going alone...or parents to drive me and go out with me (which i'd appreciate - it's a two hour drive each way, minimum).

10.1.22 Saturday Critical Thinking (stay overnight, paid for by union, nice perk of being a member and nice experience and knowledge - i support learning and education..)

10.2.22 Sunday - Critical Thinking Breakfast, then drive back home soon after.

  • 2/14/2023 - 2/23/2023 ... dates for  Antigua,Guatamala & possibly Miami. Take off work for two whole weeks (2/13/23-2/24/22 - using 9 or 10 vaca days & 1 holiday). Book flights by end of October / hotels by end of November / Swim with Dolpins book by September.?
  • Delta - used 1850/2000  ... / AA for end july/end august maintenance / Marriott - for end Sept/ End October Maintenance - Check this.
  • (July or August option to take 1 vacation day extra for work/life balance)

7.15.22 Fri;- AM walking / legs workout lunges/squats before work so i didn't have to do it all Thursday night.- Late to work by 10 min (thank gosh not more, traffic was light). i overslept again - it was a bad pattern this week for me, late 3 times to work by 5-15 min...i always made it up after work, but it looks realy bad.

breakfast: tiny banana and coffee 100, pb 100, chocolate babka very rich 350 to last all morning...550...

snacks: pb 100 and above babka 

lunch: bring only veggie 100 soup 50, have corn and beans 200 from coworker to add to soup; yes, with half large tasty everything bagel very large 300. ..650. couple pretzels negl.

6:30 after walking at location i haven't been for a long time, part of the bagel that i then finished at home 300

dinner: salad with dressing 150 so good to eat fresh tonight!, rest of the bagel already counted, and part of a really tasty, fresh salmon burger that had full chunks of salmon not like just all ground up very nice from coworker, his sister's restaurant! just part of it. 200? big burger. no bread since had bagel...spiked drink. 100

At work - take sandwich that coworker got for me home - have to take it home; but may freeze it for next week (just the salmon burger part?) i really didn't want to go home first...i can freeze a water bottle to keep it cold in the car with the sandwich...yes....

PM after work walking goal is to go to a park i pass on the way home...called Fresh Meadows / Corona Park. along with leg exercises that i will do there as well..---did it, was a great way home also after the park, followed signs and didn't get lost.

Tonight - chop cucumber & tomato tonight to make a salad done, was tasty. have a little leftover for tomorrow.

I was thinking to plan another overnight with Christine for July, but i realize just going to the beach takes a lot out of me and that I should try to save most of my vacation days for later this year/next year.....so the Peach Festival should be enough this summer; along with trips to the typical beaches we go to...

yes, i do...quite literally everything. and being that i live in Queens, there is literally more options there than even in Manhattan regarding ethnic food. Queens is like the melting pot of the entire world. more diverse than Manhattan! I agree it's awesome having so many food choices.

stayed at work a little late bc i tend to procrastinate and do better work when rushing/pushing to leave...not the best pattern, i know. but at least i got one thing done today, fully.....now i just will relax and read a little before weights...i WILL save legs for the mornin before work.

 7.13.22 Wed - AM walking; late to work around 5 min, i left later and the traffic was very congested. this is why i have to push it to leave earlier plus i get the walk in.  got up later bc i went to bed later. was a long day with working a little extra yesterday so all my evening activities got pushed later as i didn't rush to work out right after dinner, i relaxed and cleaned up first...

Breakfast: tiny banana and coffee 100; biscotti 150, pb 100...350...

Snacks: pb, another biscotti? 250

Lunch: healthy mix of leftovers: tortilla chips 150, broccoli/carrot mix leftover from Friday (not a fan to eat it bc it was overcooked by Supermarket chef; but why waste it?) 300, tofu 100...550

5pm somewhat larger Snacks after work: new gummies came and the serving size is 90 cal for 7 whcih is good but each bag of them has 3 servings. so, i had two servings approx 200, come coffee, and 3 (gave in) mint milano cookies. 200. i knew calories were pretty low and indulged a little extra before going out biking. 400.

Dinner: - might have the veggie soup i've been bringing to work, though not sure. there's always popcorn too! - rest of the popcorn 200; tasty morningstar garden veggie burger on a wrap 200, little bit bbq sauce 50. 450

tonight - thinking to do another bike ride outdoors tonight like i did Monday instead of walking to use alternate muscles; try to do it sorta quickly after i get home so i can get to bed on time...decided to use 20 min on stepper/watch tv and maybe some stationary bike for 15-20 min as well.

will try to get to bed on earlier side bc i didn't get enough sleep last night and i want to catch up tonight / rest more.

8/6/22- Saturday - New Hope, PA  Peach Festival !!!!!- Basically first "trip" since covid & since my last trips in 2019!!  Pick up Christine & Drive down early morning Saturday; stay Saturday Night overnight hotel; Spend the day Sunday; drive back Sunday after Dinner.  It's an artsy town on the water - walking around Peddler's Village which is all artsy and shopping. I plan to ride the carousel! Staying at the hotel on the grounds - Golden Inn. 

I was thinking to plan another overnight with Christine for July, but i realize just going to the beach takes a lot out of me and that I should try to save most of my vacation days for later this year/next year.....so the Peach Festival should be enough this summer; along with trips to the typical beaches we go to...

It's 2hrs away.  I will try to go with her and her BF in same car. I can pay half the gas...Either drive this evening or early tomorrow morning. I'm leaning towards early Saturday morning drive....leslie not working for union, need to contact her, i may be going alone...or parents to drive me and go out with me (which i'd appreciate - it's a two hour drive each way, minimum).

Regarding yesterday's work anxiety: were you anxious because of all the people in the trailer? Or were you more anxious that you didn't have much to contribute and therefore, felt left out or more insecure about your job position? Or a little of both?

A little of both, more the latter, knowing that i am not a major contributor and do not have much important work...my position could easily be eliminated (but it's not at this time - i do have some stability at this moment with this company), but the actual postion could easily be eliminated and my minor tasks assumed mostly by the project managers to do themselves without my position as well as other tasks i do taken on by other administrative assistants instead of myself. I am an extra; and with all the people and converstations, it is a gentle reminder that i'm an extra and very apparent. so it's mostly the latter; but sometimes all the noise of a meeting in front of my desk can be annoying - but that wasn't the issue yesterday. it was my mind, slow work flow, and a constant reminder of where i am at.

i am mostly reliable at work to come to work, which is good. i am competent lately in answering any questions from executives. My work is not a heavy load, but i do well what i finish for the most part...

i'm saving $5k TOPS per year...if that. i sometimes borrow a little from my savings for things like car insurance, but make it back when taxes come back (that's what happened this year after my one year mark here).

basically, i'm "treading water well" right now. i'm at like an inbetween. i have to push myself to learn and not totally stay stagnant, but i also feel it's a good time to work on my travel plans, try to cut those costs and do research on best hotel options...and keep the exercising/strength more and more on a roll.

honestly, i am taking this time to take a breather mostly. to enjoy summer, lifestyle...as I tread water (as i stay stagnant at work position).

Higher anxiety day for me  IN TRAILER...LOTS OF VISITORS, NOBODY TO MEET WITH ME...WHEN I FEEL THIS WAY, I CHECK THE TESTING SCHEDULE FOR COURTS....LET THE TEST COME SOON...I WANT OUT OF THIS DEAD END JOB!...the benefits are good here and retirement good here, but i know i am low on total pole, no room to move unless i study engineering or can teach it to myself (no)....so i really want the administrative role with courts...i feel i will have at least stability as jobs don't necessarily "end" at courts...it's more of a standard position at courts, not working under project management where projects come and go as well as my job (hiring, firing, hiring...etc).

Breakfast: tiny banana 50, coffee negl, whole wheat bread 100; pb 200. 400 tops.

snacks: pb, granola bar? 200

Lunch: tomato 50 veggie 50 soup with beans 100, toast with butter tortilla chips 200. 400..

left around 45 min late as a higher up executive asked me to do something for him so i didn't say no...i did ask to give it to him in morning; and he turned it down, so i worked...it felt good to do something quick though; as the time moved very slow otherwise, today..

4:30p snack: pretzels that i took out with me for ride less than 100 cal.

5:30 dinner: leftover thai - chicken small amount, 150? mushroom dish small amount with some sauce 100 /small amount fried rice 150; edamame 150? strawberries 50....600 very enjoyable lots of flavor....then had a serving a kid's gummy candies with liquid filling....100...just to get ready for weights, etc... (100 cal is not a big,big calorie bust...and i get candy/sugar)

9p two mint milanos but overestimated lunch bc didn't eat all the chips so just putting 100 here. 

and one more cookie 100 right before bed to settle stomach.

thank you! yes!!! i need to put my food purchasing and spending on a major hold i think, for two weeks...and use up freezer food...good point on the money saver...and i was just thinking about time savings LOL. you are so right...it's also a money saver if i buy less while using the freezer food! :) i must buy LESS for the next 2-3 weeks.

lunch: healthy veggie 100 soup 50 with serving kidney beans 100 serving and toast x2 150 i think with butter 50.....(meat free meal - just for ease, not due to diet concerns, though i'd say it's def also a healthy lunch with the beans and whole wheat bread and a good healthy move also - win/win.) 500 tops. really enjoyed this lunch!!!!!!!!! - tomorrow will be same.

i ride my bike to a street nearby that has a bike lane and a little less traffic on it so it's a bit safer as well as a good ride. basically, i ride down an avenue called 73rd avenue from 164th up to around 194th street...around a mile each way plus a half mile or so each way to get to 73rd. takes me overall 45 min or so bc it's a little hilly at times. a good, pretty safe route. all the other routes i don't like with the multi lane roads/faster drivers.

9.26.22 - Monday - Rosh Hashannah (Come to work - DO NOT stay late; & take Friday off instead...) - dad of course annoyed i plan to work, but i have to live MY OWN LIFE. and i Have to do what's best for me at this point - i do NOT feel bad about it.

 9.30.22 Fri - Vacation Day #2/15 Day off -  

Critical Thinking Course (i did this course once around 5 years ago - different topics each time - I believe this will be about union / Local 3 history). overnight at union grounds out east- fri night/sat night- out east at the Long Island Educational Center thru union. Going with Leslie, thankfully. It's 2hrs away.  I will try to go with her and her BF in same car. I can pay half the gas...Either drive this evening or early tomorrow morning. I'm leaning towards early Saturday morning drive....leslie not working for union, need to contact her, i may be going alone...or parents to drive me and go out with me (which i'd appreciate - it's a two hour drive each way, minimum).

10.1.22 Saturday Critical Thinking (stay overnight, paid for by union, nice perk of being a member and nice experience and knowledge - i support learning and education..)

10.2.22 Sunday - Critical Thinking Breakfast, then drive back home soon after.

10.3.22 - Monday - Go to work, push thru, and continue with plans to take Wednesday off for observance as planned....


10.4.22 - Tuesday- Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) begins in evening

10.5.22 - Wednesday - Yom Kippur (holiest day in the entire calendar year) Day Off - Sick Day #3/5

End of Oct: Marriott card again?

Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!
