so i woke up without a huge appetite today. my abdomen is still doing some somersaults. not sure why. it was killing last night. i think TOM actually has a lot to do with it.  i'm sure thinn is dealing with this too!

last night yoga was killing my abdomen even more, i almost walked out. so i'm taking a break from it today. :)  I need the cardio. Been sitting on my butt on break!

breakfast 9:30am: grapefruit, cellnique. 200

lunch: salmon canned w. bbq sauce, apple 220

snack: green drink 80

dinner: large, out to eat, very good. sesame cucumber salad, vegetarian lettucewraps. couldn't be more than 1,000. dunkin donuts iced coffee later.

total around 1500 today. nicely done to me! :)

exercise: no yoga thankfully! i needed a break. instead, 45 minutes elliptical, some situps, some pushups! nice day, very nice day.

what a movie: the mysterious case of benjamin button - be ready to cry, cry, and cry some more. SO SAD. SO GOOD. this is really a great movie as all the tv advertisements say!

Progress as of today: -12 lbs lost so far, only 22 lbs to go!

"Bottle of 96" ~ No No No... Not a bottle.... It was a box of Sudafed.... If I drank anything that came in a bottle other than Sobe, Pom or Soda Pop, I would be flat on my behind......

"Carbs" ~ My pantry has been super low on the better choices and I got to go to WalMart last night to replenish... I hadn't gone shopping for a bit, cause I can't stand the HUGE crowds... Now holidays are over, it's much better.

What I have seen of the previews.... It looks like a pretty interesting movie... we (not the kids) watched Chocolat last Saturday night and I want to watch it again.... Hallmark has a good one on tonight "Nanny Express"... I LOVE Hallmark movies, even if they DO make me cry..... Sometimes it is a good release when you can't let go when something else is bothering you and it does help relieve tension..... Not during PMS though... hehehehehehe : o)

total: 1300 alright! :) better than i had first thought.

happy new year! glad i didn't go to the city because it's WAY too cold outside! :)

calories...ugh! there wasn't great choices and i gave in. good thing though, i didn't have the cookies. but i did have two slices of pizza.

calories today are 2900.  oh well. another day lost but i'll balance it out tomorrow.  i guess you gotta have fun sometimes and it is a holiday. BUT, i also need to reach m goal.  I just cannot give in! I need to be 115 by April. there's no reason i can't but i cannot continue to have days like this. 

This was the last day of December.  Now it is January 1st and almost 2am.  I will make it so this year is a comeback for me.  It is starting well. I am happy. although it's late, i'm going to yoga tomorrow, 9:30am.




calories before going out: 800...I might as well try to be good...but also we're ordering in Italian....I may have to kinda allow more than 1500...we'll see....weightloss is still more important to me than giving in.....


today has been good. i'm craving something at the moment but i just cannot let myself down - i just won't allow it!

breakfast: cellnique drink, apple. 170

big lunch: Humongous stirfry. olive oil 300, 4 servings of broccoli/caulifower 100, package of brussel sprouts 80, little bit of diced peppers/onions 10, lettuce while i cooked 10, tofu 50. total around 550.

total so far: 720....i CAN do it....i will probably have at least one cookie tonight...which i look foward to...but it's gonna be a challenge, the whole night that is. AND, i'm sleeping over....so i might actually bring one of those cellnique drinks for the morning. i've GOT to keep going with my progress.  I'd LOVE to be under 135 by Monday.  :)  or, if that's too lofty, 135 on Monday.

i'm beyond happy - i'm ecstatic at how well i did. i stuck it out and followed a plan to not overindulge in snacking. and it worked.

dinner after yoga: small apple, orange, cell-nique. 250 total.

total today: 1050! listen, it makes up for yesterday, sorta. :)  happiness. and my two day average is 2075. better, better. plan for tomorrow is 1500.

yoga was GREAT tonight.  there was a HOT teacher, so i tried extra hard. it was my best class i did since the summer!


yoga in the morning...then preparing for NYE with a small group of good friends! I hope you all enjoy your NYE too.


wow! thanks for all your great comments. It seems that you guys are all back from your holidays on DD.

So I slept late today and missed the morning yoga class. That's actually ok though for mutliple reasons. First, I value sleep on a vacation more than waking up on time for yoga.  Next, I need to buy a casual but new outfit to wear on NYE. It's nothing fancy, I'll probably wear jeans, but it was to look good. So, nothing expensive as I put the majority of my money into yoga/food, I'll go to Old Navy. And, if that doesn't work out, Kmart.  I cannot spend a lot for clothes. and i'm ok with this because clothes are clothes! it's hard for people to tell what is cheap or if you bought something in kmart rather than macy's.  I used to go to Express, Gap, and Ann Taylor Loft a lot for work. but now thankfully i can wear scrubs.

moving on.

I made sure to have liquids after yoga last night so that i wouldn't wake up extra dehydrated and famished this morning. It worked, thankfully.

9:30 Breakfast: Grapefruit, Cell-Nique drink :) 180

lunch: big healthy 400

snack 1: small coffee 30

snack 2: special k protein bar 180

it's gonna be a GREAT day after all. thank god i stuck to my plans and gut. didn't overeat again. :)  so far, around 800 cal. today will totally be 1200! making my 2 day average 2150 which is acceptable for two days. i'm waaaay proud.

and i'm going to try really hard tomorrow not to have more than 1500. I KNOW i can do it - I KNOW i will NOT give into what my friends want me to eat, either. i will make good choices!

snack 3 after yoga: Cell-nique drink...

dinner: not sure. something light.

 2.5 mi walk outside and hot yoga tonight at 6:30 pm! yay!

Hey! You're lucky you get to wear scrubs. I wish I had to wear scrubs or some other kind of uniform - it would make things so much easier, because I too try not to spend a lot of money on clothes. My reason for that right now is because I keep gaining weight! Ack!

Anyways, thanks for all of your comments all the time - you are one of the only people who still comments on my entries and I really do appreciate it. Hopefully someday I will be able to journal more frequently and comment on other's journals more frequently too. Maybe I should quit my job and do nothing but journal on dietdiaries all day. I think everyone'd get pretty sick of me after a while!!!

past 30 days i've had 16 binge days. still in the red zone! yuck!

10:20pm edit.

so i went to yoga for an 8pm class and put my whole heart into it. and it was a GREAT practice. i really put everything in!

and today's calories are 3100, not 3200. lol, it matters to me to change that. I might be able to do 1200 tomorrow, but prob not. So i might just try sticking to the 1500s. we'll see.



forgive me, please! i binged! yes, even though it's vacation. hmmm, i was doing schoolwork and took a break and there were brownies, ice cream, two bagels with butter, cake involved. so, there you go. i'm actually not very mad at myself as i've been doing a good job being my own cheerleader lately.  meaning, i still have my confidence.

total calories today will be 3200.

and i may still go to yoga today a second time, although it'll be late if i go. 8pm probably. then, lots of fluids so i make it in the morning. if i don't go to yoga later, i'll go to the gym and use the elliptical this evening.

on a good note, i weighed myself this morning before breakfast/after using the bathroom  haha....and i weighed 137. down from 145 when i was really full and bloated at the beginning of this break.




It's 1pm and the day is going well, except that my mom is royally pissed at my for cooking a stirfry so there is oil splatter that i need to clean up, obviously.

breakfast: banana 110, puffed rice, milk 300

9:30am: yoga

snack: green drink after yoga.

large lunch: stir fry: oil 250??, 10 brussel sprouts 80, 20 asparagus 60, 2 yellow peppers 40, tofu 50...side of blueberries 80  Total: around 600

total so far: 900

yoga at 5pm. maybe a green drink before it or a fruit.

Good Night's sleep & finger cross for me Tuesday to stay 100% true to my eating healthy... I went off the wrong way after the boys went home, but know that it could of been way worse too had I not caught myself and stopped when I did....

I know food/binging was/is a serious issue for me thats for sure. I took all of 2008 dealing with it and am proud to say I am winning. Its not always easy though is it? In reality we cannot change what we have already done, but we can change how we do things in the future.

If binge eating is something you are looking at taking control of a couple of things that worked for me were... Thinking before I ate, if I wanted I waited 10 minutes and asked myself why I wanted it, and adding extra exercise into the day. If I want a brownie and its an extra 30 minutes of walking. Sometimes when you add time to a food it loses its value for you.

Keep up the excellent work :)

today was a wonderful day, lots of progress made :)

breakfast: green/protein drink, orange. 170

snack: drink 80

lunch: large but so good. package of green beans (6 servings i think) sauteed in olive oil with a bit of scallion, 2 green peppers, tofu....apple for dessert. 600

dinner with grandma at her place good stuff: flounder (which i usually HATE but it was cooked and seasoned way different than i usually have it so it was great), veggies, salad, soup, fruit. only around 450. small portions! they don't want the old folks getting fat! :)

snacK on the way home i got antsy: medium dunkin donuts iced coffee w. equal, skim milk. i'm trying NOT to have too much artificial sugar because i tend to get dry skin/breakouts. yup! so i won't do that again for the next 2 days. not sure about how NYE will be though...since i'll be around lots of people most of the day i cannot limit too much.

later snack: peanut butter, 2 tablespoons 200

total today is about 1560. i'm pleased. tomorrow will be a little harder and so will tuesday as i have less plans. haha.

today i went to yoga in the AM. and a nice walk with grandma. :)

today was my first day back to yoga in perhaps half a month.  it went terribly to say the least, but when that happens it pushes me to improve and want to go more. so no worries, and i'll be going back tonight. i went to yoga 2x today.

breakfast: 250 - apple, peanut butter

9:30am yoga :)

lunch: green drink earlier...then stir fry using olive oil - lots of green beans, tofu, scallion, and 2 peppers. 600

snack: bean dip/bran crackers, orange: 320

5pm: yoga

Dinner: nutrition drink, apple: 300 great day!

1470!  i do so much better under NO stress! i love vacation!

yoga at 5pm :) i did MUCH better in the evening class! yay for getting back into it. tomorrow i'll probably go only in the morning because i believe my grandmother is coming over for dinner.  and sunday i'll probably only go 1x because i may be visiting my grandmother - actually that would be a good day. so i'll probably visit her.

just found out i'm going to a wedding come mid April. It would be a MAJOR reunion with many many people from childhood. if this is not a motivator, nothing is. four months....main goal is to look HOT on that night. with a lovely dress. the end.  (or i can even use a dress i bought for a christmas party not too long ago and just take it in if need be - spend less $ which is good, too!

holy ----! i just stepped on the scale...11:45am. and it says i weight a whopping 145 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! holy mother! omg! The most i ever weighed in my life was 135...and the scale said 145 this morning. oh wow.

that did motivate me....and take away my appetite just now. sheesh!

so now i've looked at my monthly averages in terms of weight on here. i was doing pretty well it seems, in July and August. if only I had kept that up! Right now, 123 would be amazing. 

could you believe i have gained that much weight since the summer? 20 lbs!?

i don't even see it. i'm blind to this weight. my eyes are not noticing it as much as it is truly there.

and yes, i'm still on that journey to stop binging. i figure that this morning wasn't a binge per se.  My goal is to NOT ever eat over 2,000 during my break. which i'm still doing well on despite a huge breakfast.

more of my thinking out loud:

turn my food obsession into an obsession on my body through yoga.  6 months till summer. one pound a week approx, 24 weeks = around 25 lbs. So I know i'm bloated now (hopefully!). so starting this morning, i've been on a journey to lose around 25 lbs by the end of june. i've got to remember it's not that far away! 145-25 = 120.  and then by summer, 115.  and i guess, if i'm SMART, i'll try to maintain the 115 for awhile.  because going any lower might just put me in some sort of upward spiral again.

so, now to reiterate, my calories will be 1400-1500 on most days with yoga most days as well. If i get myself to go - to stick with it - I'll reach my goal. basically that means no more stress eating because of a test or exam or whatever you want to call it. I must stop now. This is a great time to stop, as I'm on my break. There's no yoga today so I will begin tomorrow - and I will go 2X per day as much as I can except for like new years.

i need to follow through, to acknowledge that I can and will succeed. but i need to try, not just say i will - but actually do it.

merry christmas eve and thank you to everyone that celebrates Christmas because that gives me some days off!!!! :) haha

loads of calories today too. around 4000.

exercise: not sure.

now i'm on break. started it out with a binge which is the usual of how i react when i'm exhausted and sleep deprived. and alone.

i will make sure that these next 10 days do NOT include a binge. that is my first goal for my days off. I will NOT be drinking on New Year's Eve because i seriously need to watch what i'm consuming each and every day.  I will try the lower carb approach. not necessarily too low carb, but enough.  i'll stay away from grains and milk/yogurt products this week. these shouldn't be too hard for me since i'll be off from work. now i just have to stick to it.

once returning to work, i'm going to try to stick with this plan. and if i do, i can be a lot healthier come spring time. but that means i have to start now...and not continue to binge.

Progress as of today: -5 lbs lost so far, only 15 lbs to go!
