Edit: Day 35 (thursday)...LARGE BINGE for breakfast: 2066 calories, lots of granola and stuff like that. I was nervous for my observation, which went nicely! But, I still had things I wanted to go over and stuffing my face and stomach until they are swollen with food somehow helps me do that...not really, but in my head that's how I think. Completely stupid!

Day 36...1275 calories!!! woot!

So, the veggie burger brand is called "Nature's Promise," and the flavor I bought was garlic and chedder, for 95 calories a burger. I find they taste best on rice cakes. Today I had small, satisfying portions during the school day and really didn't have enough time like I usually do to pick up a snack on the way to a meeting after school. So, I didn't have anything.

After the meeting, I picked up this awesome new drink at a 7/11 store. It was pretty small, but really good. It's by the new brand cocoavia. They also make chocolate "nutrition bars." The chocolate drink had 150 calories, 3 grams of fiber, and 6 grams of protein. Usually, I don't like to buy drinks (I prefer food), but it was late in the day and I had only 605 calories and it was around 5pm. I had it before I went back to my own school to enter the rest of the grades in. Then, I bought a small peanut protein bar for 110 calories on the way home to satsify me so I wouldn't walk in the door STARVING!

When I got home, it was 7:45. I ate a large dinner, but not for many calories. Two large tomatoes in balsamic vinegar with my new "Pizza spices." Then, a cup of egg whites with bran fiber mixed in and microwaved, it comes out like a big pancake. I put a ton of cinnamon and a little cream cheese on it. Then, I had two large plums and 6 tam tam crackers! LOL. big dinner. Actually, it comes out to about 410 calories. That's a lot of food for so little calories!

Tomorrow I get observed by the chairperson. She will also be videotaping me and commenting on it. We'll see how it goes, so far so good!

day 37.... 1510 calories. not bad! I hope my guess is not too far off! I estimated 500 for all the chicken I had at lunch with some light sauce and really small diced mango pieces, just a few.

I had breakfast and a balance bar before the conference. I had a plate of chicken at the conference for lunch seasoned with a little sauce. I am guessing it was around 500 calories. My total so far today is 1250. I have a rehearsal tonight, instead of the usual Thursday evening, so I will have to eat more or I won't get through the rehearsal. this may be mental, but that's how I feel. I had two more 100 calorie balance bars after the convention today and then I came home and had two massive tomatoes along with two cut up cucumbers all dipped in vinegar with some spices that I added to it. I was so thankful for the veggies, because I wouldn't have had any all day if it wasn't for that!

I'll update calories later. weight was down, but I bet it may be up tomorrow. It was probably also low because of my extra low calorie day yesterday. Today I had wanted that, but with the food offered, I had to make do. Wednesday I will be more careful, enjoying the other two of my 95 calorie veggie burgers.

now, i just have to go vote and go to rehearsal.

edit: day 38 - 1060 calories!

so far, 900 calories. If I am really good, I can try to make it below 1100 calories for today. I did this by having a small breakfast of the smallest of apples and a HUGE amount, 4 tablespoons, of FF cream cheese on a rice cake with cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and nutmeg. I may even use more cream cheese in the future. It helps you have that "hit the spot" feeling. It's that satisfied feeling you get when you have something rich and decadent, lol. Fat free doesn't sound it, but it tastes it. Make sure you use the Philadelphia brand and not store brand. I've tried both.

I had a veggie burger that I never tried before. I think its called Nature's Promise. I was skeptical because they looked so plain. However, the box promised a good taste and it was!!! Plus, 4 grams of fiber. I'm not going downstairs to check what exactly it was, maybe i'll update about that either tonight or tomorrow. I will definitely buy them again, for 95 calories each!!!!

Tomorrow is some kind of conference, not at school. I am nervous about the food part. I have no idea what it's like. However, I'm bringing a few 100 calorie balance bars with me. I am hoping not to have a bad day tomorrow, but I can't go nutty with the food when I am around people that may impact me getting a future job!

thanks for all your comments. Today was an overall pretty good day. I am pleased with my face. It is far from perfect, but has improved GREATLY! its soo much clearer! Makes me feel good!

You mentioned apples in your entry...I love apples. I think fruit is very low in calories and very good for you!

Thanks for your comments. Yes, going in to the cake celebration late and leaving early definitely keeps me happier on cake day at work. I feed into all the "I shouldn't be eating this" and general talk about food and weight and stuff that it seems EVERYONE does. That is probably my biggest trigger. It's odd, too, because I love to talk about cooking, recipes and food. I just can't stand all the negative body and eating talk everyone does. Have a blessed day.

Day 39...2400 calories. haha, same as geevee yesterday. I guess my sincerity of eating 1400-1500 every day for 65 days is not holding up! I am still trying. But, with such a higher cal day (far better than the 4015 day last week!!!!), I would rather aim lower than 1400-1500 for the days following. so, I will try. tuesday I have a conference and may not be able to eat with an exact plan because I cannot be concentrating on food when I'm supposed to be engaged in the activities of a conference all day. I will bring some 100 calorie balance bars with me on Tuesday.

today was the Swedish massage. I had no idea what to expect. I am usually a very easy to please person, but I was actually NOT pleased with the massage today!!!! I felt like the woman started out too gentle, probably because she knew I never had a massage before. then, when she asked how the pressure was, I said she could use more. then, haha, it was too much! so, i said, you can back off a cinch! however, she kept going back to how it was at the beginning and I had to remind her to add more pressure. this occured every time she did a different limb: arm 1, leg 1, arm 2, leg 2, etc. she did kill my head though, that was rough. but i didn't say anything becuase it was better than massaging it too gently. It's like the princess and the pea or something like that. I know that it wasn't that great and I will not be going back. It cost 45 beceause I had a 10 dollar off coupon.

although today was very high calories, I ate a lot of healthy foods, in addition to some not healthy. Healthy includes: egg/bran, tomatoes, yellow pepper, persimmon (fruit), apples, red beans, peanut butter, rice cakes, soy milk

totally unhealthy: no pudge ice cream bar, tons of sugar alcohols, diet orange soda

unhealthy/too much: cup of granola, 420 calories. 4 carob coated rice cakes, 120 calories each = 480 calories. oh, and this was all dessert to my lunch! 5 slices of cheese Lunch was 1200 calories! wow! I also have a stomach that can expand forever, and I do feel it.

OOhhhhhh, I'm with you.4000 calories is nothing. I'm at the point where I'm wondering how in the world I was able to exist on so few calories. I lost 40 lbs. yet here I am7.5lbs. above that goal and struggling.

Sorry your massage was a bust. I love to get massages and hope to get one in this week. I have pretty good luck but I have no idea what "swedish" massage is. Don't think about your intake from today too much - the sun rises on a brand new day every single day - a whole other chance to do it the way we want.....Have a great Monday.

Geeze, that sounds like a lousy massage experience! At least you found out at a discount lol.

I don't know how you all do it with the 65 day stretches, I break up my time into 7 day periods, the longer periods caused me to lose focus. Now I just track the week. Good luck today!!!

day 40, 1625 calories. at first, it would have been 1510, but then I got a hunger sensation. lol. so, i had a small apple and some ff cream cheese on a rice cake.

Lately, I'm obsessed with fat free cream cheese. I highly recommend it to cream cheese lovers or anyone who likes something creamy for so little calories! after smoothing it onto a rice cake, you can add cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, or any other sweet spice and it tastes even better!

eating was pretty good because I had many small meals. However, during the late morning, I got a huge hunger attack and was able to control myself because I had to teach a lesson and couldn't be late by stopping to get more food after I had a snack of a pria bar.

I went to yoga, an activity I haven't done in about a month!!!! I loved it and got there early so I could be in the front. only thing is, the heat really exhausted me and I felt really nauseus when it was over! luckily, the feeling went away pretty quickly.

I was going to do some work today but I'm leaving it for tomorrow. I'd rather go to sleep and wake up with energy. Today I woke up really early, 6am. I had gone to bed around 11. My body has a lot of trouble sleeping late, no matter when I go to bed. so, tomorrow's a new day!

the face peel did work to the degree that i did see improvement. the peel has different intensities and I was given a pretty low dosage of acid, 20%. it is offered in gradations of 10%: 10, 20, 30, etc. The dermatologist decided what I'd receive. However, now it is 3 days later and I see that maybe a higher dosage could have been used because my chin is having some trouble still. however, that's why most people say, and the derm. says, you have to get the peels more than once. so far, I'd recommend it!

Just catching up with your entries...YAY on getting a massage!! I am going to treat myself to a day spa head to toe makeover when I hit my goal. In fact, I am already scouting out prices now! What kind of massage are you getting? I hope you enjoy yourself! I'll be checking out those Kashi frozen meals as an alternative to making a sandwich every day for lunch, thanks for the tip! day 41 . 1485 calories.

for some reason, when i woke up today, my weight was a couple pounds down! that's a lot, in one day. perhaps that laxative tea worked. It's called "Smooth Move." The brand is "Traditional Medicinals" and they actually sell it in most supermakets around my area. They sell is in regular and I think chocolate flavored. I used the regular, which is pretty good because it includes licorice root, which is a flavor I generally like in my teas, along with some other things.

Surprisingly, after last night's episode, I was very awake at work today and I felt good! I woke up before my alarm today and took some extra time to get ready, still getting to work in a timely manner even though I left my house quite late. I really felt good today, even though I was a little tired from time to time.

I also ate well today. Breakfast was a little bigger, but totally a good portion, 295 calories. Then, a had a couple things during work and a double meat subway wrap. Now, I had a large dinner. With a ton of fiber:

Egg whites and powdered bran with 2 small cucumbers and one large tomato and balsamic vinegar as an appetizer. Two microwavable dinners of about 250 calories each.

The whole dinner comes out to 660 calories. Now, I had planned on having just one Kashi meal. However, my calories for the day were way under 1400-1500. That's the reason for my splurge of a second kashi dinner. These frozen meals are REALLY good! I haven't had these before. I love all the types of grains they include!

As I read everyone's diaries, I see many people are finding things to do to splurge on themselves (besides food). Workingit bought some lotions. well, I'm getting a massage for the first time on Sunday. I'm looking foward to it. Just because I don't know what to expect, I asked for a woman.

We call those microwavable dinners 'tv dinners' here in the south. Yes, they are good and so much food for so little calories! I love the turkey and dressing ones with corn or peas, yummy!

I have only had one massage; just last spring, and it was heavenly! Are you going for a total body massage or just a certain part? My massage was for 30 minutes and I had her focus on my neck, shoulder and upper back area; some spots hurt because I had knots in my muscles and she knew just how to find them and work them out..and it hurt at first but then once the muscle began to relax ...ahhhhhhhh!!!

Ok, now you've made me want another one!!

I tried the same type of tea too. Mine was a Chinese looking brand called Slimming Tea. I've only had it twice when it was needed and it really worked.

day 42, around 1175 calories! whoa. nice. I didn't even have too hard a time controlling them like I would have thought. this is probably bc yesterday I had a lot of food in the evening, something I usually never do. I drank a tea that has a laxative effect purposely last night. This is because a few days ago I had that 4000 calorie day and I was getting nervous beceause my body had not eliminated much in 3 days! then, i had some soy and bran for breakfast. Let me tell you, my body was back to itself by 9:30am today! haha

the glycolic peel pretty much just speeds up the rate at which the skin cells at the surface of your face come off. But, you don't actually peel anything. the peel is like a liquid acid that the doctor puts on your face and then you wash it off, like soap. weird, huh?! I did look in the mirror and notice a more consistant look, less blotchy. some people get peels just for cosmetic reasons like wanting to have less redness and things like that.

I had a massive fight when I got home at 10:30pm after rehearsals. I walked into the kitchen to make a light egg dish before wanting to go to bed soon after. My sister was in there, baking a cake. she VERY RARELY does anything like that. rarely meaning 3 times a year! well, when she makes anything, the kitchen looks like a tornado. I had no problem with that, but I did comment saying it was a mess. I continued to prepare what I was making: Washed a tomato, and measured some egg whites and powdered bran. well, my sister started to get on my case becease I moved the tablecloth over a part of the table she needed to clean. the table looked clean; and that's why I moved it! I didn't do anything just to piss her off. Then, my dad hears yelling and tells me that everything was ok till I got home and it was entirely my fault! ha, well, that's not necessary! He wasn't even there in the kitchen to see what went on.

my sister consistently yells/raises her voice to get my attentino or get my to do things. well, when she does that, it makes me want to listen LESS. Now, i'm not sure who's right/wrong. But, I am pissed at my sister and seriously sick of the way she can get my parents to get pissed at me and yell at me. they need to take care of their own business,not mine or business that includes only myself and my sister.

oh, i told my sister to "shut up" a few times. why!? because i wasn't in the mood to hear yelling at 10:30 at night. It's been a long day and night. I heard yelling when I stopped to drop some things off this afternoon. we are a yelling family. that's annoying.

anyway, I ran out of the house after the yelling. and, went to the only place open, a supermarket a few towns over so that I would take a while to get back home. I purchased a few things, came back almost an hour later. didn't talk to anyone.

Oh, poor girl! I feel for you. I come from a yelling family too, and it was my brother who was always getting me in trouble. He is two years younger than me and when we were little my parents were always yelling at me and blaming me for everything because I was older and ought to know better, set him a good example, etc. And then when we were teenagers he would deliberately try to get me in trouble by ratting to my parents about what my friends and I were up to.

Sounds like you are also not your parents' favourite. But if it's any consolation to you, my brother eventually saw the error of his ways. Now he regrets his excessive closeness to our parents as they are constantly trying to interfere in his life and give him advice about his girlfriend, job, etc. But it's too late, he confided in them too much and now he can't get rid of them! So there is a lot of friction between them and as a result, I have now taken his place as the favoured child! My parents can't get enough of me. My, how the tables have turned!

So don't fret, you won't have your family on your case forever. They'll learn to appreciate you more in time!

Ah the joys of family life!!!! I am the youngest of five siblings and in my vast experience of yelling sisters , the one who is really to blame rarely actually gets the blame. You probably did the right thing by getting away from it!!!

I must admit we are a yelling family and just reading what you wrote makes me want to sit down and shut my mouth. I am so sorry for your bad evening. I hope today is better. I have to admit sometimes my girls fight so bad and want me to take sides that it alone makes me want to scream at the top of my lungs and sometimes I do but I honestly I try to not take sides. I understand how hard it is to not be the favorite child, I am not a favorite unless my sister doesn't talk to my mother. It is really frustrating to know that everything in the world is your fault just because of who you are. I hope you have a better day today. Take care****HUGS****

I know exactly what you mean by when someone yells at you it makes you want to listen less. I completely tune them out when someone yells at me; I simply won't take it. I'm glad that you got out for awhile and let things calm down.

My family yelled alot, too. Especially the women. I would just retreat into my room. I'm 52 years old now and sometimes I find that I yell even though I hate that. I try to keep it at a minimum. My parents don't yell at me anymore (ha-ha) but they bicker between themselves and tht STILL makes me uncomfortable. Good work on getting out of the house. Some day you will have peace and quiet and can live with people who get along (if you are lucky and work at it, too). Good job on your healthy eating.

I remember all too well the friction between my family. Even when my sister and I get together now for more then 5 days, we get into at least one argument..and we come from a yelling family too. day 43...2250 calories. hmmm, not good!?

I was aiming for 1500, but I had 400 calories worth of chocolate early on in the day. Chocolate has hardly any protein, fiber, or "staying power" and body body acted as if I didn't have any chocolate at all. meaning, I was pretty hungry in the afternoon, as usual. I had a few extra hours after I got home because the dermatologist peel thing didn't take long at all. I thought i'd be seen late and get out late when I took less than a half hour in all there. sadly, i came home and binged a little.

Let me think how many calories I consumed for dinner...1000. lovely. Half, actually 500 calories, was in these crackers that I like. The other half was in two soups, 2 very small apples, and a tomato dipped into balsamic vinegar.

Lately, it seems I really can't balance this eating thing out. My weight was the same as yesterday. I have been drinking a lot of diet sodas still, and I guess they are still hurting rather than helping. I am afraid it may not be best to try to make tomorrow a 1200 calorie day due to my late evening rehearsal. Maybe if I try 1400, which may still be difficult, I'll do better. Hmmm, then I can do 1400 tomorrow and 1500 friday. Friday stinks because a few friends asked me to go with them to happy hour again. that stresses me like you wouldn't believe because I don't drink and I don't like to eat the food because the calories vary so much. I will probably make sure i have a snack before I go and order diet coke.

I am just a diet mess lately.

The glycolic peel is interesting. all that happens is the dermatologist makes sure you skin is washed well and cleaned and then puts a chemical on your skin which sits there for 3 mintues. then, you wash it away and apply moiturizer. then, you can't use acne products for 3 days or so after. that's what the procedure didn't take a long time today! my skin does feel good! They say you should do this procedure several times. Since it doesn't take that long and is not so costly beceause insurance does cover it, I'm gonna try it out for awhile.

Hmm... looks like you're having trouble keeping the calories down. One thing you could try, although it's a little dangerous, is eating less for breakfast and/or lunch. This works for me because eating early in the day tends to have little effect on how hungry I feel later on, which is what you noticed with the chocolate. So I've found that by skipping breakfast and eating a light lunch, I leave myself more calories for evening snacks and dinner, which is where I have the most trouble cutting down.

Of course, this is a dangerous method because if you let yourself get too hungry, you'll be at greater risk of a binge. So if you do try it, be sure to have a small snack if you get really hungry during the day, and fill up on fruit or vegetables at night.

So, how long does it take for you to see the effect of the peel? And do you Have to do it several times for it to be effective?? Did it burn at all?

day 44...1200 calories again.

Today was a good day food-wise. It was a busy day; and that probably helped. I did a good job planning most of my day in advance. I did some walking for a half hour and some weights.

My weight is up another pound, and I feel like all that food I had eaten has not been eliminated from my body since SUNDAY! Not most of it, at least. I know, that's a lot of info! Someone, I think BTC, told me that her weight also is up for the next few days. Hopefully it'll improve tomorrow!

Tomorrow I'm off to the Dermatologist after school. I'm real excited because I've never had a glycolic peel; and, more importantly, I'd like it to eventually work! If not, it was still worth a try, since insurance covers the big majority of it!

A few groups asked if I could play French horn with them in the months of November and December for rehearsals. I know I am busy...I thought about saying no, for quite a few mintues. However, I said yes to them all! I said yes because by playing in a number of things, your lip muscles get stronger and you sound like a better player. Since I haven't been practicing that much on my own, playing in all these different things helps. Also, playing helps with people connections, politics, and teaching jobs. Those are my reasons. I personally couldn't turn anything down. also, after this devastatingly terrible eating I did on Sunday, I feel that busier might be better right now. I had a whole day to myself last Sunday; and I used it terribly.

hmmmm, time is ticking. I thought i'd be in bed at least 20 minutes ago. I was cleaning up and putting my things in order. I hate looking at a mess after awhile.

goodnight all! I hope you all had a good halloween. I did, as a cowgirl. the kids liked it, especially the little candies i gave out after their music lessons!

I appreciate all of your comments, they've helped me get through today!

I haven't had 1200 calories in quite a while, probably around a month ago or more.

my weight was up today, duh! after yesterday, i was surprised it wasn't up more...maybe it will be tomorrow!

I couldn't concentrate yesterday at all on my work and didn't do any of the college work that I wanted to. I didn't even walk on the treadmill. I was super-lazy and 4000 calories of food really made me lazy.

I woke up today and my entire body was sore! especially my arms. I think my whole body was bloated from yesterday. I don't feel like walking on the treadmill, but I really should. It may make me feel better, or perhaps get all that food out of my system faster! just 30 minutes, at a moderate pace. Nothing heavy tonight.

tomorrow's halloween. I'm gonna be a cowgirl. I thought I'd be a nurse and buy scrubs but I opted to just wear what I already own.

should be a good day. I have a rehearsal after school as well.

I can't wait till the dermatologist appointment on wednesday!
