sips of kombucha in AM 50., pumpkin pie with coffeee

 1,000 cals before lighter dinner, healthy lunch.

light dinner 2 servings lower sugar gummies 250, apricot yogurt 150 (i should buy more yogurts later on this week)  i don't eat yogurts much anymore so i don't buy many when i shop for them, so this was my last one as I don't generally consider yogurts a dinner, but like them once in awhile. 400.

 looking forward to starting my day with pumpkin pie most of this week. store bought, the real deal! it's much lighter than most pies. 1/4 pie is 400 calories...1/4 a full size pie.

 

 


#1- need to call union still, for insurance card, STILL NOT WORKING. - TUESDAY NEED TO CALL MAGNACARE

#2- WEIGHTS to do Tonight MONDAY DO THEM...just upper body, because it's already late when i'm starting, lower body another time, will get into a routine later on...just trying to get it all in now.

#3- need to fix car insurance rate, WEEKEND?; Tuesday call Safe&Sane driving school, get certificate that i never got from Spring.

 #4 - GET COV*D TEST, as long as insurance card is activated, right after work at a walk in that is located a couple blocks from work before going home.

mostly, but not making a template calendar because i did a really rough one days ago and wanted to go to sleep.

mostly, it was good i took the work home this time because i think he was content when i handed him several documents he'd assigned me to finish and i was able to give them to him instead of being absolutely confused and stumped today.

Good luck today! It takes about 3 weeks before a new job starts to feel better.

Bankruptcy is federal law. (I'm sure you already knew that.) I loved the subject but it won't help you with your ambitions to work in the city/county court system. You want things like family law, torts (difficult), criminal law, litigation, contracts.

If you give me the list of subjects again, I can tell you what I think would help you most, from what I know.

I still highly recommend BK law though. Like I said, I loved it.

well, i wouldn't have thought about it unless you told me, again, that it's federal law so i appreciate you reminding me of that bc i wasn't thinking about it that way but realize that's the court it's worked on in.

YES...the subjects can be changed at my leisure. will give you the whole list in the future bc i do NOT want to contact the school again and therefore i'll wait for two months to pass before i email them again with my decision in change of a course for my next choice. good idea.

What’s up with this sun stuff? I avoid it like a vampire. A leading cause of aging and skin cancer. My mom and grandma both got it from UV exposure. Wear hats and a light sunscreen. No vit D deficiency.

HAHAHA...a friend of mine told me about one of her friends shooting for 1,000 hours in the sun. I will not get that, but, trying to see how much outdoors exercise (and indoors i will count) of cardio i can get this year. it won't be much, prob not even 400-500 hours either. I'm doing it for a baseline to just see.

i may actually forgot to record, but, trying.

some vit D is ok...and it's true we should always wear suncreen.

i have a few light sun spots on the side of my face that is in the sun when driving. seems i have "driver's sun spots" ...my mom i think has it one that side of her face too from driving, i think.

 6.00 hours in the sun, cardio rest day

need to fix car insurance rate, TUESDAY

need to call union still, for insurance card, STILL NOT WORKING. 

WEIGHTS skipped to do tomororw, will just go to bed early tonight. it's 9pm, so perhaps i get some great sleep, do weights tomorrow. sometimes you just have to go with the unexpected, especially at the beginning of a new job.


8am breakfast oats 150, raisins 150, almond milk 50, kombucha 50. 400.

10am snack: mini cinnamon roll 100.

Noon beer bottle mixed with both with and after lunch 150, toast 150, smoked salmon 100, 2 slices mozz cheese 100. 1 black garlic.  total 500.

2:30 snack after supermarket runs, small slice pumpkin pie 200. good. coffee,, black with stevia.

7:30 still doing work, gummies lowsugar, large apple 200

1400; DONE. skipping a real dinner for sleep and weights tomorrow. it is what it is.

 


 hopefully i don't skip weights tonight, but it's getting pretty late and i'm still working...hope to finish this work by 8:30 now...i really cannot afford to lose sleep over this work.


 jacky....on news there was a kombucha story today!!!...kombucha day is coming friday!!!!!!!!...nope, Feb 21st...news was wrong..

supermarket - apples, berries, lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, large carrot, seltzer, pie, breakfast bars....kombucha at other store (go to more expensive store - easier, faster parking) DONE!

takeout - thai food with veggies only, thai food with chicken.  takeout platter of hot roasted veggies, some baked veggies, some meatballs to last for a bit of the week. DONE!

upper body, lower body too????


the bankruptcy paralegal class i was supposed to start on Jan. 11 - i have requested to postpone until a later session. simply too much right now.  DONE...

Annie has a point! Take breaks to relax and give yourself little (non-food) treats throughout the day.

I completely understand why you're "working" today though. It should help you sleep better tonight, knowing you'll be better prepared going into Monday. Isn't that what work is all about? Practice over and over, until you know what you're doing, so that you will be prepared for the unexpected.

def not working at full speed ahead while working at home...took an hour and a half just to fully wake up and start the assignments...like bear said below, i have to catch up to the speed of the job and would be very behind if i didn't do these things at home.

it takes me awhile to pick up on new things...and i'm not a fast worker either. so because of that, the only way i will be perceived to be getting the work done is to finish most of the tasks now before Monday or i'll be very behind and find it hard to catch up all week with new things thrown at me daily....

yeah, see my comment back to donkey. things are very unknown for me right now and the pace is a bit accelerated than what i'd want in starting a job. there's no way for me to catch up unless i do certain things at home this weekend or i'll be strangled with overloaded tasks on Monday at work.

Lol That’s funny. For many kombucha day must be everyday. Tossed my final brew down the garbage disposal. It was healthy looking, just don’t like enough to flavor and drink. Kinda sad seeing those SCOBYs give up the ghost.

I think it's an EXCELLENT idea to defer the paralegal class. Bankruptcy is memorizing exemptions, and can be very intensive, if you have to prepare a petition to file as a project or final.

ohhh....that doesn't sound good at all, in regards to the subject matter. i will, i think, still take that subject though you make me want to think of shifting my advanced subjects i was planning to take to a different order. i was thinking to take a total of 6 different subjects but i only paid for three. I may stop for a bit after those 3 and call it a day! (6 subjects gets me a certificate, but, who cares about that right now!). three subjects are still good for my resume, rather than calling to get my money back...i'm still interested to take a couple more classes. they have already confirmed that i will not take a class this january, thankfully. after all, it's my money, i could always request it back from them and take nothing more! :) thanks lady.

No, fish, like you’d see in the fish dept unfrozen or with frozen foods in bags. Each slice is individually sealed in plastic. Sometimes called salmon steaks. Patty would have too many additives including sodium for me.

breakfast: oats 150, raisins 150, almond milk 50. coffee 50. 400; small baked dessert croissant thing 100 by little debbie that i wanted to try for the first time

11:45am snack close to noon, decided to do work and not have lunch right away - 4 sticks of a large kit kat (it's even bigger) 220.

3pm late lunch: ratatoille from mom 150, leftover tofu 150, cheese doodles 230, sugar reg gummies 200.  730. (yes, indulged...and didn't calculate calories until after, it's OK).

 drumstick 150, healthy vegges 150..300

some wafer cookies 250.

day of some food indulgence. light exercise. and glad my laundry is now done.

goal for today: 20-30min in sun...slow walk with dad (he's injured and mom) for about an hour, DONE.

maybe weights(upper) & legs tonight, otherwise tomorrow....strength upper and lower may just happen tomorrow as i think i just want to relax today...will decide later.

i skipped volunteering today...def the farthest thing from my mind...plus, i wasn't in the mood for unknown physical work with unknown symptoms of being tired after before having to do the work that is listed above, there is more to add to the list.

laundry is on the go.

parents stopping by around 1:30 for not a long time, may walk with them for also a short amount of time. when parents leave, i may consider ordering takeout then and go get itparents brought me some home cooked food to eat all weekend.

today is all about trying to get a few things done that i didn't get done at work so i actually have some activities checked off my to do list come Monday morning and i'm not totally bogged done (although i will totally still be bogged, should have brought laptop home this weekend to see if i could have organized my emails at work, which is the main source of my problems...my boss sent me emails with attachments and i am not sure where the folders are where they go....that's a big issue...will figure it out come Monday bc i didn't check this answer on Friday...) i'm ok!

in terms of cooking, i'm undecided but feeling a firm decision to order takeout cooked veggies, probably thai food.  as well, i could def use some fresh fruit / veggies from the supermarket both for me and the pigs.  i also need to see how much meat / proteins i have and decide what i need for the week. i already picked up my "snacks" - granola bars - and i also want to buy a pie (pumpkin if they have it). SUPERMARKET tomorrow.

How are those take out vegetables? Recall them looking really oily in various San Diego markets, so always did my own in my trusty electric frying pan. Also suspect they piled the salt on.

thai also uses healthier sauces: basil sauce, garlic sauce, ginger sauce....good stuff. and the sauce is light, not oily. opposite of chinese food.

I should mention that while you inspired me to do more volunteering, I did a little looking into some of the ideas I had, and unless I stop working at the legal clinic, I don't see the other ones happening, except for the Salvation Army bell-ringing -- I still really want to gather up the courage to check this out.

hahha....we have TONS of thai around here. TONS. it's very popular all around NYC / Long Island / Queens, THANKFULLY. it's MUCH healthier (the sauces are far less sweet/starchy) than Chinese!!

4.75hrs in the sun

tonight, i'm taking an hour online course on sexual harassment at work. was supposed to do it at work but of course was too busy. so, in order to free up my load at work, it is ONE of several things i brought home to do this weekend. there's more to do, lots of typing actually on some other things. hopefully it doesn't take me FOREVER to type, it might. lastly, there's an excel document i brought home to adjust, so that i do not have to adjust that at work and can simply give it to the VP i'm assisting and not have to work on it at work...mostly, i took home the "brainless" activities that don't require the use of all the files and other things at work. i am also supposed to update a template calendar. i may put these things into a list tomorrow on here to figure it all out and how i will do most of it this weekend and still rest up...seems it will not be a weekend of a lot of physical activity, i do not think...we'll see. def cannot work all weekend or i'll be exhausted come monday.

 forgot to take a record back here my calorie count...i don't really want to think about it, but it's basically prob around 1050 after lunch.

my lunches has been very balanced with some veggies bc i cooked a ton last weekend, might just get takeout for next week & not cook on weekend?, some protein, some carbs. snacks have been carbs. seems to be working for me.

dinner did takeout by me on my way home, so cheap, will be getting this often i think. less than $3 for a chinese veg and tofu soup. to much tofu i can save it for another meal 250. good size portion. they gave the fried chips with it, i ate the whole thing bc i knew my calories were fine for today. 400...650, might have something for dessert? 

dessert decided on my choc wafers 250, might have some kobucha too.

took public transportation - will be continuing and not paying for gas, tolls, parking anymore. Will easily save over $50 per week if not more.

got a lovely 30 min walk in tonight. it felt good to move. got some "air" moving out of the bottom end of my body too. 

didn't poop basically all week until i found a semi private bathroom today...and was SO HAPPY to use it...and sit there without feeling there's folks all around listening...pushed it all out. TMI, i know!  i have big problems with pooping / starting new projects / jobs / traveling.


public trans is just very risky because trains are still crowded / semi dirty but some passengers feel they don't have to wear their masks right is the main problem. lots are without covering their noses. oh well. you can't ask people to do it as you NEVER KNOW the reactions they can give you / push you / etc.  i did ask one person, he complied. some spanish guy that was standing over me as i was sitting  /  he was standing. i didn't want his air just coming at my face ffrom his nose. i do speak up sometimes, but if someone look s a bit rough, it's not always best to say anything on NYC transit.

YES. i want to be able to read my phone...like news and other things...mostly to stay on top of some news and just read something not related to work. you got it.there's not continuous wifi but if i open a few articles, i can at least read those.

I took often public transportation when I taught in downtown San Diego. Got off before my stop so I could walk. Or I drove my car and parked far from the school. It was a cool 1956 Chevy with flames. Some shoe company saw in it the lot where I parked & asked permission to use it in a photo shoot and gave me the $100. Think the catalog was called Journeys.

YES. that's what i like about public trans...you can walk it / get off at earlier stops. it's perfect for getting in exercise. that's why i'm mostly doing it...

...and i'm going to save a ton of money per month, at least $200 per month and probably more like $250-300.

250*12 = $3,000 per year savings.

Speaking of saving $$, make some kombucha!

Make two liters of tea, , add 3/4 C sugar, cool Dump in one bottle of GT raw unpasteurized Cover with cloth, Test taste after a week or so. Let brew longer if ya want. Flavor anyway you’d like. Bear’s flavored diet sparkling water was the best way I saw. The diet ginger ale was good! Or you can bottle, cap, and let it carbonate.

Ah, I see what happened with your alarm, then. Oh dear... I don't know what happens with my alarms when I silence the phone. I seldom silence the phone -- I hate most notifications, so I get texts and calls. If anything, I turn the phone onto vibrate, not silence. Still, I don't know how that affects the alarms.

In a way, I'm glad you brought some work home with you, to catch up, etc., if you feel it will make your workweek easier. That's something I would totally do. And a big thumb's up for public transportation!

dinner: mcdonalds 4 nuggets and sauce 200, small fries 300, cheese doodles..250...and possibly some kombucha. decided to skip the veggies tonight. (had them at lunch anyways, thankfully).

1800...-1900. approx.

did weights fast last night from 8-9:30, will do my leg exercises around 7:30/8pm tonight. 

hope to go to bed early as i'm running on adrenaline but could prob use more sleep.

i no longer shower in mornings...only night...i wake up a little before 5:30am and that's early enough...don't need to leave the house with wet hair or deal with long showers in the AM. anything to save time in the morning, i have decided. and i've been washing my hair every other day...everything not to overdo things, everything to save time.


things are pretty busy! 

with some walking and some driving and some traffic, each way my commute is approx 1.5-2hours, each way, not round trip. so i've been busy!

really cannot go on here at all during work, no time....and will try to catch up more on the weekends with you...will not be on here as much as i used to be, will miss it...but can't be doing this to the same degree with a new job.

What a hassle to deal with insurance. Probably better to find out now, versus if you really needed emergency treatment and found out you didn't have insurance.

Keep wearing your mask. Even though my co-workers are part of my bubble, I don't know what they do on their time off, so I wear a mask for myself (and my husband).

Sort of on yesterday's entry, having this administrative job is a total plus towards working in the legal field. When you mentioned the calendar, I was all about that, in what I've done in my legal jobs. Calendar = docket. GOOD!

yeah, i'm really not sure i want to use the email calendar...but i might try it...but not yet i do not think. i will follow a "calendar template" i wrote out to describe what work is done for a typical month.

the mask is in fact uncomfortable at work for nonstop wearing...and hurts the back of my ears. i'm not sure what to do about it...i do wear it a little, but not fully. it's a risk.

title of job is administrative assistant.

i was asked to get a covid test at a nearby clinic, few blocks from work that i walked to after work, but my insurance was declined, so need to fix this on the phone tomorrow...my insurance card was deactivated when supposedly it wasn't supposed to be...and i was NOT going to pay $360 for a covid test on my own dime! that's outrageous.. so i waited for about 20min on the line outside, before being told i couldn't get the test unless I paid that...UGH!..no biggie, but i just got home later than expected lol and didn't even take a covid test...and prob will not be taking one for at least a week or however long it takes to reactivate my insurance card. but bc i left the city late, the traffic was bearable...we'll see what it's like tomorrow driving home. 

my hours will be 7:30am-4pm. i will leave tomorrow around 6:15 to see how long it takes to get there...again...i tried to park in a parking garage that was close but where i could walk a few blocks as exercise to work, like 5 blocks, and that was a good idea, for exercise purposes...i can just keep doing this if i really want some exercise, for now, along the commute...(i just prefer to do it after work, lol, and not in the morning!!)...but if i'm parking in a garage, it will have to be a longer morning and evening! ha.

the tasks are rather confusing and i will have to organize them by a calendar view if i want them to work out for me correctly...as i figured out with the help of the VP, Bill, later on at 4pm...yeah...slow going in my mental capacity today i guess...tomorrow will be better.

 

i'm not going to be able to comment a lot this week, it's too much overall, but i love to tally my food, so you'll see seeing that daily..as i've been doing it relatively almost the past 20 years so i'm not stopping for this week.

Small amount kombucha maybe not have this anymore early, some bloating but only had a few sips, I get gas when nervous

cliff bar and coffee 300...ok! Forgot cliff bar so having those Kellogg's cheese/ pb crackers and the coffee 250

snacks if necessary granola bar 100

lunch is two slices wheat bread untoastrd with two slices cheese - not for taste - for convenience. This day is unknown and it's not glamorous. 250 coffee with 4 packets real sugar bc I'm cold bc wearing a collar shirt no fleece over it for first day and I'm a little tired so coffeee...ran outta all my snacks since I forgot breakfast lol 100

 4:30 picked up swedish fish from gas station by work (one of the few gas stations around NYC, yes! - there aren't many all around just happens to be by work) 210, followed a bit later on, 5:30, by chocolate larger amount 200 400.

Dinner at 7:30 after coming home and taking a shower, not my hair since there's no way i'm washing it everyday as it'll dry out i think) bowl of ratatoille, 200, followed by a 1/4 of the pie of sweet potato pie 400...600.

1700 cal.. dead tired....but have to go over some things or i'll be behind come tomorrow.

exercise needs to be skipped as i'm tired and need to get up everyday this week early...

and i need to review some paperwork about my tasks which are unclear to me as of now...but should be better tomorrow, i KNOW.


 Half hour early to parking garage - debating parking and walking? But don't want to be starving at work and I forgot my pumpkin pie slice but I have a nice cliff bar instead ...I even forgot a small bottle hand sanitizer so I'm taking the medium size one from my car...

Don't want to get lost walking, don't want to be caught circling the workplace either ....so just chilling in my car...

Correct on all accounts. The guy I am assisting, Bill, found out 2 hrs ago that I’m his new assistant and his previous will be transferred. No parking lot here, so, I may switch to public transportation bc it cost around 13 for it daily at a nearby garage. They don’t have any computer or anything set up and I’ll assist this woman Leanne for now until she’s transferred to the office that has parking, more uptown, closer to where she lives so should be better for her...

Saw something funny on New Amsterdam, a medical drama. The lead doctor decided to make insulin at the hospital in protest to high prices. The hospital director came down yelling at him and said: this isn’t like brewing kombucha.

It’s a good medical drama, but I don’t see why they say it’s based on Twelve Patients, a book written by a doctor who worked decades at Bellevue. I read the book & see no commonalities other than good physicians working at big hospitals. The book actually got boring as the cases described were rather ordinary.

A few small things are bothering me today...not specifically related to anything of importance. but they simply involve a TOTAL difference of communications and needs between myself of parents as well as a friend on two distinctly different topis. 

what i'm saying is i'm "annoyed" (not angry) about two different things involving two separate people. i'd rather not talk about ANY of it, especially thing with a friend.

basically, i like things BLACK AND WHITE, clear communication, logically stated. and when people start to vear from that approch with me, i do not RESPECT it because i WONDER why they didn't take a straighforward, more honest approach in the first place a i can read right thru it. 

for this reason, i am just keeping to myself right now and staying off the phone...but i appreciate a call with French friend.

My parents won't stop telling me that i shouldn't take public transportation when that is how i want to go. I don't want to drive...i wanted the easy way. not worrying about paying for a parking garage. i just wanted to take the darn bus and train and my parents have been arguing with me all day to drive. i'm so annoyed about everything.


breakfast: 1/4 of the sweet potato pie, i'm craving a runny egg- so that's my lunch plan - 400, coffee 50. 450.

some kombucha 50

3pm late lunch: wrap 150, fried egg 100, two slices mozzerella full fat cheese 150, 2 pieces warmed black garlic, 400...aso want some chips (too many) 400, strawberries so fresh 50.

6:45 while cooking dinner: 1/8 slice sp pie..200

7pm picking, starting on dinner - homemade turkey meatballs 150...veggies are still cooking, hoping to have some of the ratatoille (but not too much, i don't need to feel bloated or uncomfortable tomorrow!) healthy ratatoille 7 some veggie broth...didn't really have many veggies these past few days other than pie, so, i'm nice and full. 150..tasty so healthy, good change from fast food and cheese doodles.

2.25 Hrs in Sun 2021...i'd like to add onto these hours in the future with walking as part of my commute...hopefully soon...i used to love adding walking into my commute when i last worked in the city (instead of taking the bus all the way home, get off early or get on late...and walk some of the commute).

Mine looks ok. I dump those bleach tabs inside the tank. There is some light discoloration, brownish. Doesn’t bother me, but I wonder if LimeAway would dissolve it without dissolving the pipes.

there's an issue with the rubber closure never closing right and water always running. once i did replace the whole flush unit...didn't work. done a few things...nothing to fix.

i feel like cleaning it would be a good solution to having a better sealing closure when the toilet shouldn't be running, except i'm done bothering about it or thinking about...maybe in the Spring.

 9:30am breakfast: oats 150, raisins 150, almond milk /  iced coffee 50. 350...ok, around 5-10 minutes to clean myself up (no shower lol till after walk) for this walk!

12:45-1:30 fun lunch granola bar 150, 2 cnack size bags cheetos puffs 300, low cal energy drink 20...500

4:15pm before a workout, some relaxing too first!, small amount grapes/small apple 100, rest of caffeine, choc wafers 150., 2 more wafers (hungry and trying to get into a workout in 15 min or so) 100

6:30 during workout pb 100, tootsie roll pop 60

Dinner should be a healthy mix :-)  bought a store bought sweet potato pie, ate 1/4, still hungry but done for th day. 400cal

wipe down toilet water TANK (it's a little grungy) (sometime later)... SUNDAY

10:30-11:45am the rescheduled nature walk at Alley Pond Park...my friend and her daughter should be joining me. friend didn't show, it's ok bc i had a good time! DONE!

 2pm friend Brad bringing his twins to see my guinea pigs again...maybe change fleeces before his girls come over, wash them later at night...DONE!

 6pm after over an hour of relaxing...finally ready...upper/lower workout after brad/girls leave :) ...lower body will not be done today...too much, it'll be done tomorrow. but upper is starting now :) did upper & lower! DONE!

8pm - pickup a large Yankee candle locally that i bought on fb marketplace...same seller as a previous time that i purchased 2 candles, also pick up seltzers at supermarket, maybe also some Puffs cheetos (these are good!) bought several fun tasty things. DONE!

couldn't believe it...the girls loved playing with the pigs...for practically 2 hours!! with some time putting them back in the cage bc i warned them they'd pee / poop if they didn't have time to relax in the cage (truth) during their visit. lol. yes, regarding everything!

the dad also mentioned it was like a field trip! yup, something to do during their school break for the holidays! they live just down the same block, so it's nice & easy.

YES! a lot of standing around, slow walk, being truly with nature...like a social worker and their group walking!..ha, the leader seriously was like a social worker leading a group for a therapy experience in the park...was nice, different. still exercise and off the couch :)

I have never heard of therapy walking before. What a great idea! Especially if you are feeling a little anxious today. I know exactly what you mean, needing to keep busy and have structure, in anticipation of something "big" coming up. And "big" or not, Monday will just be a change -- it's the change that's "big".

yes, i'm not doing it to reach a goal, although i'd love 1,000 hours in the sun!!!...but to see where i'm at and try to beat it next year!

the therapy was good, got me to slow down and with a group...

I looked up the price of what she usually charges...$40 for a group therapy walk...that's a NO WAY for me. sooo expensive. this walk was $15.
