6:30am Home: kombucha with the caffeine...i'm better off with the more expensive without caffeine tho...70.

8am Breakfast at work: coffee 50, banana 120 so good!, wrap 100 with sf jelly and pb 150. candies 50. total here: 470.

10:30 starving not sure what my deal is! !?!? i think just being busy is getting me really hungry snack: peanuts 180

Ordering lunch with coworker, Indian, so lunch will have to be at 1pm! ouch! lol...

Healthy awesome indian food with my cooked cabbage 50 and 3 hard boiled egg whites with one yolk 110: 160, maybe some chips ###, and indian food ###: grand total: 650 approx

Afternoon snack 1: plum 50, diet coke

Snack 2: crackers with pb 100 (1/2 package shared with coworker), diet coke

Afternoon snack 3 before jog: maybe more peanut butter on crackers....coworker has this....i may ask for one so that i'm not #starving after the run tonight??????? or i'll just eat once i get home and change right before jog. crackers with pb again 200 whole package. - noshing type of day, no worries.

1720...

Dinner: 500 cal

total today: 2250, fine.

exercise 2 miles, mostly jogged with some walking. first day back to jogging in 2.5 weeks and i didn't really lose too much, thankfully.

4day average: 2110, decent.

Sounds like you are stress eating. But our brains need carbs....so carbs aren't necessarily a bad thing....when your body gets its fill...it will get easier. I had a conversation once with a clinical psychiatrist about a foster child and nutrition...and his response was that we have it all wrong...we should not gauge our daily intake...instead we should gauge our WEEKLY intake...because we will have cravings for what our body needs at that moment and we should listen to that...once that is fulfilled...we will crave something else our body needs...so we will have days where we want veggies...and other days we will want protein or fats or salt or sugars...and there is a place for all of them in a rounded diet...but just not every day....there was a study where toddlers were given various foods in a cupcake baking tin..with all of the food groups representd in various wells of the pan.....some days a child would eat nothing but pudding...and when they got their fill...they would concentrate on another food group the next day...over a weeks time..they had eaten a well rounded diet...and were healthy. I think we just need to listen to ourselves and we will eat what we need....I know for me...for all of the years I was at my perfect weight...I never thought about food ( for myself)...I did think about serving 3 well rounded meals per day for my family...but for me..I just ate what I served...didn't think about snacking hardly at all. My weight came with binge eating junk...and that was 100% stress driven.

i think you are right i'm stress eating.

but i'd be even more stressed to not eat, so i'm rolling with it...hopefully it'll die down after the Vegas trip. i have a lot of little odds and ends going on, nothing serious, just lil errands and stuff that keeps throwing my schedule off a hair.

I guess what I am trying to say is trying t control life just causes frustration...I think we should just relax a bit and listen to our hearts and minds...because trying to control usually ends up in frustration and unhappiness.

so and since my life is sorta up in the air but for fun at the moment, i am probably stress eating, a hair, about it.

but i'm not binging - so this is GOOD.

also, i agree with all your commments.

and finally, i've just about have had my fix with all the chocolate / bars i was eating at work and pretty much back to the lower sugar diet. - not snacking on candy / chocolate.

I've heard something about that too and I think that was a conversation about how your taste buds change every few years or so. I used to not like certain things - maybe because my body didn't need them - but now I love them - I'm referring to brussel sprouts and broccoli and bananas and any type of bean.

Or maybe I just had an aversion to B foods - but I am being serious.

i believe this to be true also. i used to love yogurt, now i do not even buy it...and when i do, it usually gets thrown out...but i do eat ice cream instead lol...bc it has even less calories (my brands) haha....but yes i do agree the taste buds or at least favorite foods change. i used to love microwavable meals...but then again, i just eat better now....more fresh cooked....lately i love salt again. i go through stages where i crave extra salt.

6:30am Home: kombucha and extra but didn't work bc i pooped tons yesterday, LOL. 100. that's fine.

8:30am at work: white tortilla 100, with pb 150. bigger banana 150, coffee 50. 450 total.

10am Snack: the chocolate and caramel bar YUM (yes, a real candy bar that i shared with my coworker). 100. which was dumb.

10:30am: craving protein, had peanuts too. 100

...and still prob an early lunch as my eating has been full of carbs this weekend and still having a very large appetite lol....no problem as everything is mostly still very moderate!

Early 12pm Lunch as lately i find myself very hungry due to all the recent travels and other things or maybe my metabolism is faster now - which it is: leftovers from last night's dinner of chop suey which is pretty healthy with shrimp not even much shrimp left and i had very little of the sauce..not more than 250 cals, plus a small package of cheeze-its (been craving the salty snacks...they were tasty). 450 cal. extra 50 in candies, lower sugar, throughout day...500

Snack: small plum 50. 

Snack before jog:  chocolate bar 150  special k bar 100 since i have one opened already from last week at work lol...and it was tasty.

1400...

Dinner: not sure yet. i think something microwavable...will try to eat what's in my house...

GRAND TOTAL: 1900

3 DAY AVERAGE: 2066, GREAT!

...tonight i am getting a brazilian (sorta like a bikini) laser treatment and then jogging...

ran outta time to jog...to do it tomorrow instead!

it was supposed to be only jog but things obviously have changed! LOL....because my friend who i'm going to Vegas with asked me to get my nails done...so that's friday instead of laser...lots to do lol....but all good stuff in the end!

8am breakfast at parent's house:  cereal of craisins 150, milk 80, fiber one 180:  400 approx.

11am brunch back at my place: tons of this chedder bunnies (instead of goldfish) 350, smoked tofu in a wrap (small serving) 100. 450, cold tea, kombucha 50. 500 total.

1pm: more smoked tofu in a different type of wrap 150, energy drink. forcing gym instead of running so i can get a good start into the week (if i run, i will not want to do gym tomorrow...so it's better i do gym today and follow up with a run tomorrow).

calories so far approx: 1050..

1900 total very very good and gym workout was like a beast!!

 

2 day 2150 per day :-)

After driving back to my town from my parents, before i stopped at my home I decided to do two errands since the stores were right next to one another: smallest grocery shopping and also a trip to the pharmacy for some household stuff. i felt good to go in the store and just get while i'll need for awhile since i had the time.

Got home around still early at 10am-10:30am in the morning. brought the hamster and packages up to my apt in like 3 trips lol. parked my car. come home to relax and clean up some stuff in my apt. finally heading to gym around 2;30pm i'll be there. Everything is decently clean - didn't vaccuum tho. that's the only thing missing...it's ok!

Fasting for the day at home with parents and watching services on tv. Nice meal to break the fast when the sun sets. Maybe sleeping over again tonight. Did all laundry including bed sheets for my apt and bed sheets here in my bedroom at my parents house since I have no idea when I washed them last :-)

 2400 total. overindulged in a HUGE meal. but all healthy. yes, worth it.

I think calories, after dinner which had MANY COURSES, but all VERY HEALTHY, along with my choice of including chocolates as part of the dessert (mom's dessert was only apples dipped in ....get this!.....LAVENDER HONEY!...my sister had gone to a lavender shop while in Hungary bc her husband is from there and she goes every so often with him there to see family...so...we dipped the sweetest apples ever in this honey...SO GOOD. 

I did have 1 extra portion of barley along with other portions of things.

ate like i said an amazing meal after fasting all day - prob at least 2200-2400 cal:

1st - HUGE chopped, fresh salad with oil and vinegar (dad made it - and no i didn't make anything....bc everything made ahead of time...) 150? and some cauliflower that i shouldn't have brought over lol...50. total here 200. piece of bread, 50 at least. 250.

2nd - chicken soup without the chicken lol...broth 50-100?, veggies 100?, lots of noodles 300-400? total here: 600. 

3rd: chicken 250? from the soup and barley like 2 servings...500?...total 750?

4th: the apples and honey lots of honey and lots of apple 250

5th: my decision to indulge in chocolates 300 at least

6th: more fruit and bits of dad's choc ice cream bar that he quickly sliced up (a klondike bar) 200 tops. also wine with dinner 100. 300.

totalling the above 2450? oops!?

12pm early lunch - healthy as usual - piece of turkey burger (stomach got full fast) 100, some veggies that didn't taste good 100 (didn't have much), half a large salted bagel from work breakfast 200. 450. and a plum and diet coke before gym 500 tops.

1100perfecto.

snack after gym: TBD - maybe extra banana.

Dinner with parents before holiday starts (fasting - Yom Kippur)

Large but healthy dinner chicken soup homemade with veggies and lots of noodles also some toast and a very large fruit salad for dinner like 2 cups a trip least.

Approx 2500 calories which is good. Healthy.

2099 avg per day - decent for this week.

Luckily, my coworker and I were re-assigned to another project which is more forward and not a design build type of thing without proper instructions. That project i was worried about yesterday i no longer am involed with, thankfully!!!!!!

no only water...but its only a day, 24hrs, and i'll be around my parents. so it's better than doing it often or while out of house.

we watch the services on tv bc they are broadcasted on a channel they get. so we can sit in pjs at home on couch and fast.

8:30am breakfast at work: small corn wrap 50, cream cheese 80, salami 80, coffee with milk 50, banana 120. total here: 380-400.

Snack: maybe early lunch. chocolate and almonds bar. (regular choc bar!) 150

11:30 almonds...i need to stop having so much sugar bc it makes me really hungry

700 before lunch.

12pm Lunch: one fried large piece of plantain 150?, veggies that were not good bc stomach hurt after lunch? 150?, large turkey burger i made 200. 500. and a plum as a snack later on at 2pm. 550.

1250 - very tired just want to go home for the night, have miso soup again that i'll purchase for $1.40 alonside my own hardboiled eggs in a wrap, read, sleep early. i really, really just want to sleep. still jet-lagged - i think?

Also doing this hard assignment at work that's leaving me 100% confused.

2:30pm Snack 2:wheat crackers in an olive mediterranean flavor - stole the box and finished it from coworker lol. i told him via text. 150

4:40pm i was starving and had one nice caramel chocolate 50

Dinner at home: i think something like popcorn and eggs miso soup 100, shrimp tempura sushi 500 tops.

2050.

6day: 2033 per day = perfect.

 I am currently in a bad habit of eating tons of carbs and sugar at times when i feel low energy and it just makes me hungrier faster / gets me to having dips in energy more often. need to work past this bad habit that has come on only as of late. It's been since right before, during, and after my trip.

Tomorrow i get out 1:30pm for Jewish holiday, I'll first do a gym workout before going home to get my laundry and hamster and drive to parents where i'll sleep over both Friday and Saturday.

Morning!

6am: extra kombucha (1.5 servings), but didn't need it bc i pooped a ton yesterday and couldn't this AM and had a meal of 1,000 veggies for dinner which hasn't gone thru my system yet so sorta a waste of kombucha but still enjoyed drinking lol. 100.

8am Breakfast: coworker brought in carrot cake wiith icing. i had a small piece of the cake and enjoyed all the icing. was amazing. small piece thankfully maybe like 100 for the cake, 150 for the icing. 250 tops with my coffee 50. 300. 

Snack: my breakfast of a tiny wrap 50, honey 50, pb 150, banana 150: 400.

Lunch: healthy - very prepared this week! 500 tops

Snacks: plum and nice trail mix bar total 200.

2100 no veg for dinner was sick of them and had miso soup, butter popcorn, bacon jerky. haha. was around 600 cal for dinner. i then craved alchohol but stopped myself as i do not plan to drink alone at home i don't think?

No exercise for Wed night or Thurs night. Back to gym Fri afternoon and back to jog next week on Monday.

5 day average: 2030 per day.

I woke up on time. Car was parked very close to apt so even though i left late for work, i was on time! and even got a spot in front of work building instead of using work lot. nice for a change of pace! no difference really though in parking on street vs at work but was able to walk a block instead of just walking from lot into building. felt nice being outside for a moment!

Tonight i have to stop by the union to pick up my insoles that i got fitted for a month ago in addition to my new glasses that have been sitting there waiting for me to pick up for 2 weeks now! lol. the appt is close to home - a ten minute walk - i may even walk there - but might just swing by in car on the way home bc i am resting my legs mostly right now and do NOT plan and will not jog this week.  Legs still not fully rested from the trip! And this is what i planned for, so i am 100% ok with this.

Just glad to go to gym yesterday, as planned, cooked eggs and turkey burgers, did all laundry except sheets, added extra money to laundry card....and even went out to dinner and dressed in a dress bc weather was warm with my friend ricky and met his friend...beautiful day yesterday, full, felt like a vacation. so thankful to be friends with Ricky. He brings excitement into my life!

Sounds like you had a great start to your day! You asked on my older diary about why bananas were 0 points on WW.....They used to be points...but with this new program they are pushing the fresh produce so they are now 0...Basically I eat them for the potassium and usually with some other food. I'm really happy to eat them now because I used to be so allergic to them the first bite made my mouth blister before I even swallowed it...that was miserable so I'm super happy that allergy went away after years of weekly allergy shots. And an added bonus for me is that they actually help IBS.

i used to have a bad allergy to fruits with pits like apples especially this time of year my mouth would itch really bad after eating them...luckily this problem is gone / at a minimum....i had an apple the other day in Colombia and cannot remember even if my mouth itched bc i was drinking a nice alcoholic beverage with it! LOL

It's 9:40am and my laundry is all done & put away! Food shopping i did last night. I mostly unpacked and cleaned up a bit, also.

I may take a nap since i feel a bit groggy. I slept really well last night :) 

Planning on gym early maybe even before a bigger lunch.

Nothing else needs to be done except putting $20 on my laundry card later since the office is open & I am home I should just top off the card so it remains full for awihe! 

I want to relax most of the day and use the bathroom as often as I like....relax my body and get it back in fully working order and release whatever was backed up lol. I didn't poop the whole trip more than a few pebbles and have been using the bathroom since my return but still i feel i have more to go - sorry for the extra info. I did take things during the trip to help me go but the nerves of travel still prevented it!

I know someone - not me - who confessed that she cannot go to the bathroom (#2) except in her own bathroom. It's a good idea to just take a day to chill out. I'm surprised you got through the first day back. I would have been EXHAUSTED!!!

Luckily, didn't have much work at work...only went so i could save another vacation day for another time - and also because i went away for my holiday and work was paying me for my holiday, so i had to be back Monday no matter what. So instead of taking monday off, i did take tuesday and it worked out well this time - i had enough energy for the gym.

I wish to do sorta do this again for my Vegas trip, but not possible lol. (take monday as work day and take off Tuesday - i don't plan to use this trick again!)

My sister in law can't even pee if anyone else is in a public bathroom....she says she has a shy bladder....she is an amputee and if I push her into a public bathroom she makes me leave even if she is in the stall alone...

Good Morning All! Arrived at work an hour early at 7am.

6am Early: kombucha 50

7:30am Breakfast at work: coffee 50, wrap 80 with sf jelly, honey 50, and pb 150, and a piece of a really rich white chocolate cookie just a sorta big piece of a big cookie. total here 330. oh and a banana 120. so 450.

10am snack: almonds 50

10:45am more peanuts / almonds 200 :)

12:30pm Lunch: got a stomachache and headache after it....couldn't even eat much volume bc not used to it since Thursday traveling only had fast food mostly and no veggies...cabbage and stir fried eggplant 200, sardines 150, hardly a chip 50. 400. now just studying police vocab words that i have at my desk at work - good to study in advance.

Snack: Plum at 2pm

4:30pm and having just granola bar of some sort with water with stevia.  100

Dinner: was healthy but bigger portions. lots of mostly roasted veggies, roast turkey, some heavy pasta but smaller amounts.

 2050 at most.

I have prepared food that i picked up wednesday night last week (just veggies) for today. And everything is set for me to go to work.

I slept decently due to taking a sleeping pill with an alcoholic beverage before my last 3 hour flight from Florida to New York which was from 8:30pm until 10:45pm. When I got home around midnight, I didn't even unpack aside from my money going back in my wallet, get my house/car keys in order and putting some cleaning products back in the bathroom. 

Going to work an hour early because i have to leave an hour early for an important dr appt that i do not want to skip / miss / reschedule.  I just need to get it done and so that's the plan for today!

Tomorrow I took a vaca day to do laundry, but not run around like a maniac which is why i scheduled the appt for today and not tomorrow on my day off.  I may go to the gym tomorrow if my legs are not as sore. I have some very tight mucles right now. I also have to pick up a hair more food tomorrow, maybe. maybe not!

Take care of your legs! Warm showers, gentle stretching, heating pad? Or maybe go the cold route with ice packs and frozen towels? Hope you're ok.

Took a couple of coworker's tylenol...i think i may take more throughout the next few days. to reduce inflammation...thanks Donkey...i was able to actually sleep and know i can rest tomorrow....so things are ok right now...knowing i only have to get thru today (and boss hasn't given me work so i'm memorizing police terms that i printed out months ago and left in my desk at work :)
