Early at home: kombucha it will be. 30 cal. everything worked out more than perfectly! stomach fully emptied! yes!

Work: wrap with cream cheese and lox 300. banana 120.

snack: bar? May skip it. not hungry...so much...

lunch: healthy - 450 and extremely healthy.

900 after lunch. LOW CAL DAY. no matter what. only coffee decaf later.

snacks at his retirement party def not more than 100...

550 cal for dinner and also a plum after work. around 600 more after work.

total today is AWESOME 1600 :-D

 1880-7 day average = I ROCK!

No matter what - I'm planning a calorie total in the 1800's for the week's average...so much better than this week started!!!!!!! wow!


My retirement speech for my boss:

Sam, you took me under your wings & into the Five Star Electric Estimating Department just under 6 years ago. 

It was you who introduced me to the world of Electrical Estimating.  You challenged me to work my hardest here.  And I value all that I learned from you my boss for the past Five Years, Eight Months.

Sam, you are very disciplined in your life and your work.  Your zest for achievement and passion to do great work is unmatched by most.  And these are only a few reasons why you will be so missed here at Five Star.

I wish you success in your next endeavor – whatever it is you choose to do.  And I also wish you continued happiness for the rest of your life!

On a side note now…What a coincidence that you & I share the same Love of Vegetables!?

And it just so happens that you are an excellent chef who always cooks up the most delicious food!

How lucky I have been to eat all of your fabulous dishes at work - from that captivating pickled eggplant with herbs and garlic to your awesome okra & lamb in tomato sauce to your sautéed egg, tomato, pepper and onion masterpiece!

Maybe you will go on to open the best Israeli restaurant in all of Israel? Or maybe you will open shop closer to home upstate in Buffalo? Whatever it is you choose, I do hope you will at least continue cooking at home because you are so skilled at it!!!

That is why I got you this gift. Thank you for being the best boss! 


4:25am. Woke around 4am or slightly before. My mind woke me up...I needed time to perfect my speech that i'll give today at my boss' retirement party at work. It's a short speech.  Some words about him taking me under his wing, some words about his worth ethic, some funny words at the end about his cooking. I will write the speech here, maybe during work or maybe later after work. It's a good speech. .... Now I will also do a good job delivering it later today!!!!!!!! 

And now i'll go back to sleep for an hour or so. I will wake up early and get ready extra nicely...wear makeup and do my hair. The whole company will be present at Sam's retirement party today at work. Everyone (I think so) was invited. It can be around 100-150 people present. I am glad i went over what i'm going to say...I will need to hold a paper because I didn't memorize it. I am happy with what I wrote for him.  I don't like to have to memorize. I feel better having it in front of me.

Drinking some seltzer now. Also making sure to wake up with enough time to relax again later & use the bathroom. This whole week has been off for me with the bathroom because of the stress (i guess?) of my boss' impending retirement. Also, I have partially chosen to and also partially dealt with due to necessary engagements also - to have a very busy week since Sunday. So digestion has been off for all these reasons. But today, Friday, is going to be a wonderful day. I ordered his gift about 1 month ago & wrapped it around 2 weeks ago.  I'm glad that I was prepared for my boss' retirement party. And glad to be able to say good words on his behalf. And to hopefully make everyone laugh a bit also :)

Morning, rushing again so it surely didn't work but also isn't the best, Obi Probiotic Soda. 20 cal.

8:30am while work & late by 10 min: coffee with 2 splenda & milk 50, wrap with cream cheese & salami 300.

Snack: 200

Lunch: healthy 500 cal and good. tuna, small amount potato, some cabbage, and some sauteed / salad veggies. 

afternoon snack: granola bar and caffeine 100 and fruit 150

After gym: 300 cals.sf jello and light ice cream.

1650, PERFECT.


I'll be back on the right track come October. Looking forward to sleeping in and less stress for especially the first two weeks of October.  

All of my Mon-Fri work weeks in October are 3 days long due to Jewish Holidays (3 days) / National Holiday (1 day for Columbus Day)  and then my trip (4 days off from work) during the second half of October.  

Looking forward to the trip but can't really think about it now.  

At this moment i am looking forward to resting up a bit. I know i need some rest at home.  Once I get thru this week here (just tomorrow is left) and once this long weekend and Jewish New Year passes, I'll be less stressed. Looking forward to not being at work on Monday / Tuesday. Needed it.

I may be tired after the trip - but at least i'll be able to rest up a little bit before it :)

Boss is retiring on Friday.

I think this is the majority of stuff going on...

and the bridal shower on Sunday was busy for me...along with just a busy week. so glad i'm feeling better.

i think run down also causing binging looking for fast energy.

i love being able to fall asleep easily...especially after a walk earlier in the day. yes, you are having a good balance that's what it sounds like! proud of you. Keep making your good lifestyle choices!

I think a large portion of my problem stems from drinking too much caffeine, but i'm managing it with days where i do get the extra sleep.

I halfway fixed my problema around 11:30am....won't stop home i doubt before gym tonight.

lunch: PIGGED OUT. EXTRA RICE 400, CHICKEN WITH SKIN 400, FRITOS 300 & TAFFY 50 - 1150-1200.

1750, ...FEELING OFF.

I am happy that this Fall season is going to be busy because it will take my mind off of the stressors at work like my boss' retirement this Friday. So many changes at work but i will be ok because i will be preoccupied with other things going on in my life thankfully. this is how my life should have always been i think...really working on balancing life with work these days :) it's better. seeing friends more, etc.

Yep, it's a constant balancing act, HOP! Push a little here, pull a little there. One thing goes well, another one - not so much (or is awful). Just getting through is success, sometimes. Getting through with as good a mind set as possible is definitely success. Through it all - do it your way and hang in there.

Today is my good friend's Surprise Bridal Shower :) at 12:30 so i'll leave here around 11:30-11:45am to go :)

Plum in middle of night (50)...poor sleep last night but it's because i had caffeine.

9am Breakfast: bigger banana 150, Think Thin Protein & Fiber hot oatmeal Honey Peanut Butter flavor 200 (nice & high fiber, filling...good change of pace from the protein muffin!), lots of cinnamon, stevia, some vanilla pudding i threw in also 100. total here: 450 :)

500, good..I sorta want to get my nails done before the event, just depends if I can get ready earlier. then i will!


As soon as I use the bathroom, lol, I'll wrap her gifts. Then take a shower & get ready. If time permits, i'll get a manicure.

big party lunch: small piece salmon 300 tops prob less, bread 300 tops, pasta 400 tops, salad 100, chocolates 50, diet soda...1150 tops

big dinner back at home: shrimp leftovers 100?, lots of veggies sauteed 400 tops, chips 150, ice cream 60: 710..

2360, not the great! hopefully less ugh!

 after gym: subway sandwich with egg white and veggies / pickled peppers, some chips, and a 60 cal wrap at home. around 450.

around 1800 total. excellent :)

huge dinner but healthy: tons of sauteed greens....wish it wasn't more than 200 but i think more like 300, followed by pumpkin probably around 100? and ice cream 300 most. so around 700

1850 most. 

total this week just around 1800, perfect (and extremely close to the 1700's - very satisfied with the average!)

snack after work: pineapple (but not even in mood for it, at all)...looking to meet my dad & change the reg sticker on my car...go home and relax. no exercise tonight. looking forward to the COUCH. that's it. and bumming it.

early dinner, sleeping early and long: (will be a light meal on purpose - keeping this week's calories FOR SURE in the 1700's...so happy with the total so far this week!)


After work i'm meeting my dad fast where i live (he works 5 min away) and he's giving me the new registration for my car and helping me put it on.  who doesn't love their Daddy!?  Meeting him a little bit after 5pm.

Snack: 150 coconut whey protein bar

Lunch: 600 most all healthy. - white meat chicken with a little skin, balsamic dressing over cooked cabbage, some chips. overall it's healthy mix of protein, fats, carbs.

1250 before dinner...can't wait for sleep...i am so tired after lunch.

Dinner out with my parents for my bday, meeting up with them after work: probably a GOOD diner, maybe shrimp or fish?

1900 was Wednesday's total.




I am feeling in a very positive & good mood this morning.

Why? Well, I had a good workout. Sleep wasn't the worst at all. Did wake up a couple times but I'm very content overall.  I had a chat with my "Aussie Friend" (different man - yes, he lives in AUSTRALIA). what are we? we are friends, known each other 7-8 years.  We did meet online on quite a "risque site."  But we have become friends with benefits in the digital age & i see myself as his friend maybe even for life.

We are the same age, I'm older by only a few months or so. So we had a hot chat. Was nice. Texting usually. Lots of photos we send of us, also of our surroudings, things we see, our environments. Nice man. He has a really interesting job. It's offshore. He works on like an oil rig in the middle of the ocean. Sleeps there. really different type of job. Good pay.

So he may work weeks or like a month straight, then weeks or month off. Very interesting job. Demanding job when he is working. He also takes classes & studies quite a bit when he isn't working. He already has two homes, couple cars.  His other home when he isn't living in Western Australia is Bali. Yep, he's a cool guy. :)  LIke i've said, we've known each other maybe 8 years now...i know a lot about him.

He must be western Australia? I have inlaws there and sometimes we skype. When we are in Thailand in the winter I Skype my granddaughters and it's 12 hours difference.
