Fun breakfast: cookies 170, banana 130, coffee with milk and stevia 50.  

breakfast that i'm getting so sick of: pita 100, avocado 50, egg/thin salami slice 100. 250

Healthy lunch from home: 1 pint of root veggies in chinese sauce and broccoli 150 and tofu 100 mixed with rest of my Indian veggies 300. 550

Snack: clementines - up to 4. 100

Dinner: CHICKEN 250, ROASTED VEGGIES 300 (went out fast to get food and bring back, glad it was healthy.)


oh when i got home, i did walk a bit over a mile from bus...but, i did succomb to eating a snack, 6 oz rasberries and over 1/4 tub whipped cream. lol so not a diet week. raspberries around 100 and whipped cream 200.

2200 total today

6day avg: 2121

but good thing is i walked at lunch and also after work from bus to my apt another mile which helps counteract the higher cals.

I'm in the process of "mixing up" my usual breakfasts during the work week. I usually have oatmeal w/protein powder and walnuts. Then, I had 3 eggs one day this week, instead, and I found that it kept me much fuller for much longer. I would get tired of eggs all the time, though, so I think I'll start alternating.

On weekends, it's always diet bread with peanut butter or Nutella :)

on weekends i am now onto oatmeal and liquidy / carby breakfasts also with some protein but heavier on the carb side and more volume since i'm home and can enjoy a bigger, more satisfying breakfast.

yeah, i'm totally bored of my work breakfasts so for awhile now i think for the next week or two i'm going to go higher on the carbs / less nutrition and more for taste until i feel the need to have higher protein in the morning again which is not yet!

i do have to alternate meals and do get sick of consistency at times! I crave routine but at the same time i can get bored and need to spice things up here and there with variety.

I've been eating single serving packets of flavored oatmeal myself lately, but not for breakfast. Like Bear, eating breakfast makes me feel hungrier and then I want to keep eating all day long.

Since the weather turned a month ago, haven't been out on my dirtbike for any exercise lately. It's pretty much put away until the spring, so I know I should figure out something else to keep moving / active. Or just move somewhere warmer so that I can ride year round (unfortunately not an option).

Good job maintaining like always.

I worked OT because i had to. I had a lot of work to finish today and there was a deadline....it was stressful because i had my mind set on leaving on time...this is the thing i do not love about this type of job (deadlines, things come up, tasks are not just set and always leaving on time.). But nothing i can do.

it was just very very stressful evening...and skipping exercise yesterday i thought i'd be able to def leave on time today bc i worked late yesterday, but, alas...so i still worked out and ended around 9pm...i worked out around 7:30-9 in my apartment. glad i do NOT have to go out anymore. it had become wayyyyyy too stressful and working out at home has been a blessing.


Kombucha 100 :)

8am Light breakfast - choc covered pretzels and coffee 250, choc covered raisons 100

Snack: figs fresh off a tree 100 from coworker's garden!, and a coconut choc bar 170. 300

NoonHealthy lunch from home:wrap 100, egg/salami 100, avocado 100: 300; cabbage soup with a little potato too 150...450

1pm granola bar 100

3pm chocolate and coffee 100

Before workout: plan is for a full fat greek yogurt with cinnamon and stevia and ample fruit, NO or LOW CAFFEINE drink and a fiber one bar on the bus home so i would have energy to start my workout soon after walking in the door and that worked. 

 Fiber 1 bar and caffeine 150 1550 before late exercise worked an hour overtime had no choice but to finish by a deadline..

1 banana during workout and 1 banana after it. 250 ( i have a tendency to get leg thigh cramps so this helps a LOT!)

light ice cream 200 :)

2000 total :)

5 day avg: 2105, excellent :)



Planning to work harder (faster) today....i have a lot of work at work...and do not want to stay late today after work...the plan is a good home weights workout tonight :)

yeah, she has a house in Queens :) her mom is around 75yrs old and loves to garden...she said she just picks a few everyday off the tree when they are very ripe :) they have small amount of land but enjoy to garden in backyard

My parents planted a bunch of raspberry bushes a year or two ago and I've been going over weekly to pick and eat them. Fresh have a lot more flavor and much better texture as compared to store bought around here. I'm sure fresh figs are the same.

yes! these were the absolute freshest figs i have ever tasted and they were so colorful! they were so ripe that they were nice and full and to the point of some of them splitting open but were just perfect texture and dense - not over ripe! just perfect! tasted amazing.

greens bar is high calorie and sugary, but tastes good and has the benefits of some health. here is the link to it so you can read up:


def not a diet / weight loss bar....it's almost 300 cal and very high in sugar but also i love the taste as it really is pretty healthy on the nutrition side and has fiber and protein...goes good right at work in AM with my coffee.

Breakfast: oatmeal 150 made with a mix of almond milk / bulletproof coffee leftovers 50, with 2 scoops of tasty chocolate protein nut butter 250 and kombucha 50. 500. good. healthy mix.

snack: coffee with collagen (samples i still have a little more in the fridge!) 150

Healthy lunch: tofu 100 with lots of leftover (like almost 2 cups?) sauteed peas/carrots/corn/beans 300 ..feels so good to eat some healthy food. 400 or so.

3:30pm snack so far: tea and super fresh strawberries 100 (a lot!)

4:30pm My stomach has been a bit rough today and i have been feeling nauseous. had cheesesticks 400 by Celeste which were good. i'm actually feeling a bit under par on this sick day.

 I am glad to be home bc my stomach has been clearing itself out....it's been out of sorts since Saturday...i think due to stress of the trip yesterday which went fine overall...i'm just not a big trip / group person...but it was GOOD to go because i DO have goals to change myself and keep growing as a working / contributor / human being.


Bus trip was not so good on the way back home last evening.

Firstly, on the way up, Gospel music was what was on the radio and we all had a small speaker above our seats as we were riding a coach bus from NYC area to Philadelphia. Luckily, the bus trip going there was only 2 hours because we did it from 6:30am-8:30am and there was no traffic. 

Coming home there was traffic as we left around 5:30pm.  It took around 3 hours, getting home around 8:30pm. This time, the bus driver had a Black Talk Radio station playing the entire time. In general, i don't listen to ANY talk radio or news for 3 hours at a time, especially if it's debate of the SAME issue for 3 hours. I didn't appreciate the constant words being spoken back and forth on this station or the debates over: BLACK vs WHITE, Men VS Women, TRUMP, and the Kavanaugh Supreme Court hearing. These were the ONLY topics being discussed, for 3 straight hours through traffic. 

I didn't have my headphones so it bothered me to listen to talk radio for 3 hours. It bothered me because it was very opinionated and strong topics, not topics that are more general or MUSIC would have been good. I would have also complained if it were only Gospel but why couldn't the bus driver choose something more in the middle to serve the entire bus of people riding? I don't know. Maybe i'm wrong.

I like all people and races and cultures. I just didn't enjoy hearing DEBATE for 3 hours. I could have used a little MUSIC. It's my fault for not bringing headphones, hadn't thought of it, but it was just the weirdest taste of radio for the entire 5 hours spent on the bus round trip. I took it as a disregard for the passengers on the bus, that's all. And the bus driver feeling his taste was suitable for everyone.  It was one sided radio and ideas. I didn't feel it appropriate for the bus trip.


I was going to exercise but i'm very sore (my left ankle and leg do not heal well after use and they are not getting worse but as i increase cardio i have to be careful to not overdo if i am sore) due to walking around the trade show carrying some heavy bags for many (5) hours...

i plan to take today off exercise completely and do it tomorrow instead - maybe cook today, do other things that are NOT exercise related.

1. I have the day off to do LOTS of laundry and get it done before starting anything else - it's a lot of laundry with a few extras thrown in as i'm catching up on things around the apartment..now there's a flooded laundry room so i don't know why but i luckily they are cleaning and i will wait till the cleaning is done to put clothes in dryer....not sure about reason for flood..glad there's no rush today things are going strangely


i went to get my car from down the block to move closer to my apt now that it's late morning and spots are available :) i don't have a garage yet and now my friend is back to using his since i don't drive to gym anymore after work and i'm only using my car one weekends or when i'm off :) they are doing work on garages, so it's best i don't use my car unless i need to and only on days i have off or when spots are free. it's working out well since i use public transportation for work!

i went to give R some gifts from the trade show and he said i could not come by to give them...that upset me bc i wasn't coming by to hang out, just drop of the stuff that i brought along as i walked to pick up my car which was near his apt. he was in a bad mood and said i couldn't even put the stuff on the outside of his apt door to take in...so i had to keep the stuff with me...i really don't understand why i couldn't just drop the crap off at his place!? ... so this day is running awkwardly.

also with Ricky, he has a bad cough and needs to go to dr to get medicine except he'd rather "get better without medicine..." ...so the cough doesn't get better and is very prolonged now for at least a couple weeks. he's very difficult, has COPD due to decades of smoking, and is making the personal choice to suffer due to his own mentality that he can "get rid of the cough on his own" and "doesn't want to be on heavy medicine"----so suffer, Ricky, go ahead and suffer because you do not want to treat the cough or lessen it. Go ahead. he doesn't want to be told anymore what to do. and this is why he's a friend, not a boyfriend/fiance or romantic partner. I need someone who is  more logical about helping themself get better when it's the best option...and someone not as difficult and ready to fight / emotionally pulling as him...

i honestly feel in my mind that R is not going to live for more than 10 years from now the way his health is headed and how he doesn't take care of himself. I do think he will not make it to 70years old. He is 59 now and not in good health lung-wise.

one day i do hope to meet someone i can be compatible with. who is healthy and never a smoker, someone who in turn wants me as a partner...that time is not in the near future.

my dad spoke to me of course this morning too about the radio / gospel on the bus ride telling me i should have kept my mouth shut and not complained that i had a headache from it...he's right, i should have head headphones, but i wanted to let off steam and did complain to him about it...but my dad is the "key" person when it comes to being politically correct so he'll look at it from every angle saying that i could be thought of as the racist since i was the one complaining about the radio and black stations / gospel...


2. I need to pick up cheap rum as a favor for office, and yes, it's cheap because we will throw out this first batch of cocktail we are making with it...bc the cocktail is too strong to drink - we are going to make a drink called Mamajuana...it's a holiday / seasonal / cultural drink made with tree bark and herbs...and you do NOT drink the first batch you make bc it is too strong hence using cheapest rum available. - DONE and had fun doing this errand! 

3. I have another errand to drive into a busy town without great parking so pick up a dress i got hemmed for a wedding i'm attending on Friday the 12th of October.. If i try on the dress and it fits well enough, i am considering returning the Spanx i got to wear underneath is, as the item was $65 and i didn't budget it Spanx were bought conveniently across the street from the dress shop. DONE :) - kept the Spanx!

4. I'll go to supermarket for fruit and veggies and kombucha. DONE!

5. i think i'll def have time - i want to cook up some chicken sausage and eggs for the rest of this week :) maybe cook some other items too - def no gym today - not hanging out with R because he is complately out of sorts himself and i'm a bit fed up with his attitude.

4. I will be returning by US Post Office a vest i ordered from Old Navy that now that i see it in person it's not warm. The other sweaters and other vest i ordered are great so i'll keep those...it's free return, just need to stop by library to print out return receipts as i don't use my printer at home at all...

I want to watch a movie later with Ricky and go to bed early...i plan to go to work one hour early tomorrow bc i have to leave early that Friday of the wedding...i plan to make up the time, around 2 hours, by working extra this week leading into the wedding week.

I mainly listed to talk radio and rarely music. General interest talk radio, but not political. I used to listen to a lot of political talk radio, but even if I agreed with it, it would still put me in a grumpy mood knowing that there was a group of people that didn't agree with it. I dropped political radio about the same time I dropped Facebook. Both of them just exposed me to other people's viewpoints that I found irritating or irrational.

I'm kind of surprised that the bus was playing anything at all. Get enough people on a bus and pretty much any type of music or talk radio is going to irritate someone. I'd rather just have silence. That lets everyone choose what they want to do (sleep, listen to headphones, talk, stare mindlessly into the headrest in front of them because they forgot their headphones, etc).

But it was only for a few hours out of your life. If that's the worst that happens to you this week, you lead a pretty blessed life. (Something I have to remind myself of often when little things irritate me.)

Also, you were right in a previous comment on one of my posts about incorporating meditation. Starting with worksheets and just filling them out for the structure. Also, one of the yoga centers I am going to on Classpass has meditation as part of their restorative yoga class, so I will learn how to start that there.

Off to Philly (Philadelphia) today on a 3 hrs bus trip each way...stomach is literally a mess since last night. Very gassy. Having kombucha when it'd be better just to walk over to the bus now, but trying to alleviate some pressure in my stomach. I was up all night, glad i slept better the previous night...friend never slept over....i think she may not show up today for the bus trip...? ...

Looked at the map of your area and was surprised to see how close each of the large cities are to each other. I've only been to the northeast once in my life and that was for our honeymoon 19 years ago when we rented a house on the beach in Nantucket, MA. A trip to the NE is on my list of things I'd like to do with the family before my oldest daughter graduates high school. I guess I've only got 2 years left to get that accomplished.

Yes, i do think you should make a trip to the Northeast :) And perhaps do a road trip since you are so good at driving distances, maybe visit a few cities. I never had that opportunity to do that type of trip with my parents...this was my first time going to Philly and didn't get to sight see bc i was at the convention (would have left it if i could, but one of the girls i was with is a goody very sweet girl and there was no way she was leaving the convention to see where Rocky was screened on the steps in Philly haha)....

anyways, maybe you can see NYC, Philly, and even New Jersey areas...if you come in summer, you can see Jersey Shore in NJ, NYC areas, and Boston? there's a bunch of options... possibly best to just do a couple cities or it just turns into a big driving fest!

i did learn some things yesterday at the show which i am thankful for...but some of the trip was a big headache on the bus ride due to what was playing on the radio...just not anything popular or "conventional" or liberal. i'll write about it in my entry.

10am oatmeal 150 with milk/almond milk 100, stevia, topped with a choc protein/nut butter blend 200 450 (extremely filling and tasty, finished it because it tastes so good!...)..kombucha 50

Noon snack / meal before exercise: Cinnamon toast crunch snack bar 100, sample (i received samples at a street fair)  bulletproof collagen protein coffee mixed with almond milk 130. 250 approx

1:30 some indian veg in sauce 250 - not in mood for meat / protein..

1:45pm workout starts -biking to gym!

snack during workout: banana 100 and another larger banana 150 (i am usually low on potassium and get muscle cramps so bananas are a good thing for me and not a problem to have 3 in one day especially if two are centered around my workout...my legs are feeling much better and no cramps !)

6pm dinnerafter workout: will be tasty veggies / bigger volume type meal - possibly indian palak spinach 250 with thin corn cakes 50 and tofu 100. 400, fruit 100

friend is sleeping over so i may even go to sleep until she comes, if she happens to come after 9pm...she might. i hope she doesn't mind my wanting to sleep tonight...tomorrow we have to get up around 4:30am...

good eats, long shower & finally shaving legs lol and out to bike to gym...perfect day and weather for outdoor biking and perfect time frame to fit it in with gym. so no cardio in terms of running till later next week is my preference...today and Monday (my last personal day off until after January)...will be biking and gym sessions :)

Cleaned up a little bit. decided still on not doing too much today besides a good workout. took innventory of my fridge...good for awhile still. i can cook my chicken sausages either later or monday....

i may do laundry tonight, but i think it'd be better if i COOKED tonight!...this entry sounds weird bc tomorrow i'll be out of town all day from early morning till night and i'm trying to relax before it.....

we shall see....just glad i can exercise and i want to enjoy it! :) enjoying the process of improving...i have a ways to go with cardio, but the more i include it in my life, the better i will get!


Tonight a work friend and good friend is sleeping over because it's the only thing that makes sense as i live 10 walking from where we need to be at 6am tomorrow... we are going on a bus trip tomorrow, leaving my place at 5:30 and bus leaves at 6am for Philly. we get there 9am and we are there all day till 5pm or so i think....then home around 9pm...then i drive her home...will be taking monday off for doing an errand or two and another strong workout biking to gym...

I'm not sure why but it scares me...….I take other vitamins...(n not sure what it is...probably a supplement)….I tend to link it to cancer...and I'm not sure why....I need to do some research on that.

Okay...I googled collagen and cancer and since collagen is basically taken to help skin appear younger.....it is mentioned as associated to cancer...probably the natural collagen we all have/had...…..since tumors are associated with collagen ( apparently natural)…..I don't think I will mess with that.....there were a lot of things associating collagen and breast cancer and metastatic cancers...……..I can attest to the fact that even when we are very overweight...we do lose the layer of fat under our skin....my hands are very thin and wrinkled and would probably benefit with collagen use.....but it isn't worth it to me to chance using it.....

indulged for dinner strawnerries 100 and whipped cream 250, after some indian takeout 400...750-800

7da: 2092...which is better because it's in the 2000's...if i can have more days averaging around 2000 for two weeks, the dress should surely fit me better!? by the wedding on October 12...that sounds far away...i can do it!


dinner: it will be more like dessert...strawberries and whipped cream like last night. maybe banana too. i will take out whipped cream to defrost when home...maybe pick up some more strawberries :) ...but i do have enough at home to last me for tonight!


last night i slept at least 10hrs...been emotionally exhausted...

...tonight the same sorta scenario...i want to go home, relax only basically...

...sleeping long and doing good exercise tomorrow with biking to gym and a nice gym workout!!!!!!!...yes, GYM TOMORROW :)...

...i plan to go to gym when i have more time in my schedule :) here and there, days off, etc.




I cannot stand hearing my neighbor here...sucks ...hearing her talk...why is she in my exact room  office!? lol. 

i just would rather not work with my neighbor...it's not my style..no separation of home and work! grrrr...i'll be ok, just getting used to it.

You've been sleeping more and I'm the opposite lately. Second day in a row that I've woken up at 4am-ish for no good reason (6 or 7 hours of sleep).

i was having poor sleep end of last week / early this week....and now i feel as though i can sleep for days...i think it's my way of my body just trying to calm itself / reset.

A few years ago, i got really, really sick (was out of work a month) due to high stress and horrible sleep. seems that i do well with rest. i think it's my body's way of resetting itself...and preventing sickness.

I completely understand the discomfort of the boundaries between work and home blending a little too close together. It might be something you get used to, and/or things could change.

You may just be able to let the gym membership go and invest in your own equipment all together....huge timesaving there.

i may for a year...but i still have many months left of current membership...but that's a good plan for later :) ...or to do it on and off (monthly) here and there at the gym maybe when i have vacations...but it seems really that working out at home will be best for awhile...

it is SO GROSS when it snows....also good to have equipment at home in case the plows haven't moved the snow...

but sometimes good to get out to the gym too...

gym is suddenly like the MOST inconvenient thing ever...
