Like BCGG, i got up and motivated to clean up. So i cleaned the Guniea Pig cage and a little bit in the hamster cage. Then, I started some laundry.  It will all be done by 10am :) 

Later, I have therapy at 1:15pm and i think i may leave my apt earlier, if possible, to see about volunteering as a dog walker at a shelter located close to the therapy location (i may wait a couple weeks on this still...)

also, it's the best deal of the year for candles at bath and body works so even though i have been using some of my savings since i have been out of work, i'm taking advantage of the day and will stop there late this morning to buy 2-3 candles since i like to use them in my apt here and there...i make good use of them.

one is for my coworker, called Peace and a light scent mixed with vanilla along with a sweet smelling soap....then i got myself sweet smelling ones: island margarita, mango pineapple, a black cherry merlot scent and, lastly, a citrus (but no citrus smell really) mixed with another scent and called Midnight Blue Citrus (not crazy citrus-y at all!). lol yeah, a lot of them are drinks but smell so sweet, i like a sweet, fruity smell. certain smells i steer clear from, anything marshmallow or like anything cupcake/donut like smells - i feel the candles don't smell like those things at all! LOL.

yes, the candle thing is a HUGE deal because they were $9.50 and usually they are like $22-$24 i think. and it's the only day of the year that they are this cheap. usually, if they are on sale, they are around $12, not the $9.50. and i do use them, if my apt is particularly "smelly" or i feel the need for some reason. it usually is when i feel my apt needs a fresh scent...like if i have gas, LOL. not kidding though at all!

i have done LASER hair removal profresionally for underarms and bikini area - it worked very well and hair was totally gone for several years and now is just light regrowth that's easy to shave. i was pretty happy with the results, did go back for touchups here and there bc hair does come back (a little only) after several years. it works and i was happy. i used GROUPONS and deals, never had to pay full price.

i am hoping i can use this device on my arms and legs at home to lesson my hair, we'll see if it works.

i have to try it more...only used it one week, need to use it like 3 months i think...and i skipped already when i should have done it this week...i'll tell you in 3 months. it was $200. bought it in summer, to use now since you cannot be in the sun in the areas you use it (arms/legs is what i'm doing)

yeah, i am in the NYC area and also Queens which i think has the biggest melting pot in the world in it !

Usually i don't order curries because the sauce is high in calories, but, this was good and a good change of pace.

1pm gummies (SO SOFT and a berry sweet flavor, really good - never tried the "imitation swedish fish" which probably are sweeter and tastier than the real deal and only 80 cals!!!) and massive plum (like the size of a guy's fist if he's like 6'5") 200 total.

4pm snack before exercise: air corn cops - cheddar jalepeno flavor for the BANGING taste i needed!  150

1850...total after Thai dinner 

going out to dinner tonight, so watching cals....also, was a busy morning, so breakfast became lunch and that's fine with me!


9:45-11:30am went to intake therapy  (lots of forms to fill out, again!) appt and then post office (right across the street to return my friend's package for him since it was for me, spray makeup, didn't want it as it's really not my thing - he got it to cover scars but i can't see myself using it daily.)

11:45-12:15pm now having Starbucks at noon before driving home to donate clothes and stuffed animals 

1:30-3:30pm I'm going to clean my oven inside today with vinegar solution and if I have time I'll also clean 1 or more of the drawers in my large desk (DID ENTIRE DESK) which are filled to the brim with things I both need and don't need. i threw a bunch of things out, still could have thrown out more....i figure in the Winter or Spring or both, i'll do another small donation of clothes i could stand to give away since my closets are STILL FULL!

Good job! I can't get rid of one bag of stuffed animals that I kept hidden in my closet. They will think I don't love them anymore... Which is so the opposite of what I should do... pass them on to make another kid happy.

yes, starbucks is EVERYWHERE here, especially on Long Island, where i was this morning.

they have light sandwiches like turkey bacon and egg on an english muffin...good stuff. i also like their light wrap with spinach and feta, also low cals. I wanted to eat before driving back to Queens as it was almost noon and i felt like i would be more productive back at home = truth, i was! And, i was also treating myself LOL.

kombucha 50

pumpkin choc chip brownie 300 (hardened up!), whipped cream 150.  

11am after iced coffee, pb on cracker100

noon lunch wrap 120, butter 100, salami 100, veggies (daikon) with sauce 150 450.

dinner lots of chinese, too much sauce in it. 900? i don't love chinese, but i do love my dad and he took me for it. nice guy! loving guy.




1- Toe taps (when i remember) (just tapping toes in shoe, not moving the whole foot) and also - /

1A. toe raises aka calf raises (one is just a stretch, the taps and i don't always do them) toe rasies (going up on tippy toes and back down) strengthens the calf

2- a squat stretch that looks like this, but i raise my toes more and stretch onto my heels more, i like to do this after the toe raises:


3- Lunges, but in place where i always bring my leg back to standing position. i do each side like 10-12 reps and 3 sets each (takes awhile, good exercise)

4- Split squat (still working on my range with this and it's much harder than the lunge above for me), another type of lunge but i end on my kneecap area (i do it on a mat and don't press hard on the knee) ...it's a mix of squat / lunge. i do this in place also:


5- Squats, sometimes only with body weight and sometimes with 30-35 pound bars that i own

Each of the exercises above i like to try for 3 sets, with 10-12 reps each.

6- Ricky was showing me work for my hamstring, when i hold onto something in front of me and do a back kick to work my hamstring/butt like a ballerina, i sometimes forget it, but trying to remember to add this into my routine :)  :  (but without the band below)




Things I want to do today / time pending:

- donate clothes and variety of stuffed animals

- buy door hooks from local hardware store so i can hang the coat i use all the time on the back of the door for easy access and not a mess in the closet :) Ricky's idea

- Leg Routine (above) and Abs routine since i didn't do it yesterday

- get on stationary bike if i have time

- organize fridge / cook bok choy ?

The room with the stuffed animals and donated clothes is actually from my own apt !!!!! But yes my parents have a large house and had a room for me to sleep in? But it wasn’t my room but a guest room since the guest room has a shower and is More convenient than my original room in their house which is used by my sister when she brings her baby to sleep over when her hubby is away and she stays with our parents !!!!!

Your leg exercises seem all-encompassing and well-rounded. As long as you don't experience any pain and are motivated to do them, sounds like a good plan!

8am Baking this morning, didn't come out right bc i changed ingredients, but still tastes good so i may save it as an add-on to yogurt. it's supposed to be choc brownie but came out soft like mousse. 

9am now off to call friend and ride on my stationary bike at the same time....

How about if you refrigerate your baked mousse to see if it solidifies a little? Personally, brownie or mousse, that wouldn't stop me as long as it tasted good. YUM!

Glad to hear you are using your bike. It's a great way just to stretch out the legs, move the hips.

I forget what you had planned for today - was it an Indian dance? Or a concert? (I thought the concert was last night... Oh my, my mind...)

Yes I had planned to go to a concert but my parents came over to visit so that’s what happened instead and that worked out well :-) now I will exercise a little and see rickys new tv that was delivered - maybe watch a movie! So Indian dance was skipped!

I’m still nervous with the pigs but it’s getting better :-)

Edit: adopted the 2 brothers for the price of 1 and got some accessories I purchased like a nail clipper / brush - but they won't be used for awhile until the piggies are more comfortable with me.


Today i hope to adopt 2 guinea pigs, depending how they act. otherwise, i will look into purchasing just one and not adopting the two that are brothers and 2 1/2 years old already - i was calling pet stores looking for long haired guinea pigs (which turn out to be very hard to find) and only one  Long Island pet store had a long haired  g. pig up for adoption but he has a brother. so i'd obviously / probably get both.....they are free. but,  it's double as expensive per month....but, i have to check them out today and then decide what to do...nice part is it's free to adopt, they are already 2.5 years old so i'd have them around 4.5-5 years instead of 7 which is fine...

They have been through a lot....they will calm down when they figure out that you feed them. It takes awhile for them to feel safe. I would just pet them lightly while leaving them in the cage. They will settle down.

i hope so....they are cute and right now my other pet, the hamster, is running in her wheel :)...they are settled more than the other time i tried to get guinea pigs, so that is good. they don't attempt to leave their cage, which is also good :) the cage top is off for now which is great bc it's easy for me to put the hay, pellets, and veggies in for them....i hope they settle in like a week :)

They are SO CUTE! I know you wanted a long-haired piggie, but I'm partial to short-haired ones. The colorings are so beautiful! I think with gradual, consistent, gentle care, they'll warm up to you and like to be handled/held :-)

Apologies if i've missed an update or if I am delving too far personally; do you still have your hamster? When you said you've been looking for a guinea pea, I just wondered if you still had your hamster :)

Hamster yes it’s only like 1 or 1 1/2 years old so it will prob live at least 6 months more .....

Hamster Never adjusted to like being held so I just take it out, hold it shortly and put it in a ball to run aroUnd - not a friendly hamster although it doesn’t bite :)

I used fruit in the morning to fill up and right now, I'm using carrot sticks to fill up before our dinner. (I'll also use salad and more fruit salad at dinner - but I **AM** having a piece of pie!)

I'd say that if Hammy doesn't bite, that alone is pretty friendly :-) You'll definitely have more luck with holding a Guinea pig - but get the one that's right for you, even if it means it doesn't happen for you tomorrow.

Yes, I’m lucky hammy doesn’t bite and you just reminded me to take her out now in the ball!
